*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* I looked over to my alarm clock. "Oh no! It’s 7:00 P.M! I need to hurry!" I said panicked. I slipped on my fuzzy blue slippers and went to get my suitcase. I looked over my dresses to see if I should bring one for the ball this upcoming winter. If only Ron could take me this year.

I picked up the picture frame that Harry gave me for my birthday this year - it showed Harry, Ron and I standing in front of the Hogwarts train ready to leave. I have tears in my eyes and Ron keeps wiping them off. Oh, and of course Harry is just laughing at us. I skimmed over my dresser and saw the diamond necklace Ron gave me for my birthday. Oh, how I wish he would kiss me.

*Meow* *Meow* *Meow* "Oh! Crookshanks, I’m so sorry!" I said sounding suprised. I put Crookshanks into his bag, gave him a kitty treat and headed out my bedroom door. I said goodbye to my family and headed off to the train station.

Wow! It was so crowded this year. How am I ever going to find Ron and Harry? "Hermione!" said Ron. Oh, look there’s Ron. "Hello Ronald!" I said. "How was your Christmas with your family and Harry?" I asked.

"Oh good, how was yours Hermione?" Ron asked sighing. "Swell! I got a photo of you, me and Harry in front of the Hogwarts train. Of course a diamond necklace from someone special." I said curiously. He turned the darkest shade of scarlet I’ve ever seen in my life.

"I knew you would like it." Ron said blushing furiously. "Yes I absolutely do!" I sounded excited. I gave him a big hug and kissed him on the cheek. "Am I interrupting something?" said Harry interrupting. I blushed.

"Hello Harry, Ron here was just saying that he had a bruise on his cheek so I kissed it to make it better." I said pointing to his cheek. "Oh well that makes perfect sense Hermione, now that’s weird I don’t see the bruise anymore." Harry said but not suprised. Ron and I blushed pink. We all then went to sit in our compartment.

As we walked into the compartment we saw Cho and Ginny walking past our compartment. They were arguing about something I'll probably get to hear the whole story when I get into the common room. Then I started giggling. "What are you laughing about?" Asked a confused Harry. "Oh, nothing just thinking about something," I said with some difficulty.

"I've always wondered what's going on in that head of your's, Hermione," said Ron who was kind of blushing. "Why would you like to know Ron?" I asked kind of confused. He blushed but shook his head. I hope that meant that he liked me.

But I doubt it he seemed to have his eye on Lavender Brown. The girl from last year. Ugh, how much I hate her. My hands tightened into fists. The train started to slowed down to a stop. We must be at Hogwarts.

I was just about to get up and take the cage Crookshanks was in, but as I went down to get it, my hand brushed against Ron's. For a second, which felt like hours, we stared into each others eyes. Until he finally said, "Is it okay if I carry Crookshanks, Hermione?" "Oh sure Ron, thank you." I probably looked really red in the face but I didn't care. It seemed so romantic even though Ron probably didn't mean to touch my hand it still seemed like it.

We arrived at Hogwarts, set down our luggage, and went into the common room. The first person I saw was Ginny. She had tons of tears in her eyes. She came and hugged me really hard. Ron and Harry followed behind me.

Ginny stared into my eyes and I could tell she just wanted to have some privacy with me. I bet it was about Harry. "Harry, Ron could you please give me and Ginny a little privacy?" I asked pleadingly. Harry left but Ron didn't. He just kept staring at me.

"Ron please." I said. "Why can't I know Hermione?" Ron said. "I'll make it up to you later Ron okay?" I said. He blushed but nodded and left. That's when this whole story about Ginny and Cho started. Ginny started out saying,"I was walking down to my compartment when Cho came up to me and said,"Ginny just forget about it you'll never get Harry, yeah I've seen you've got your eye on him but you'll never have him, he's mine!"

Ginny started to cry, I held her tightly. Then I started," Ginny don't worry the Yule Ball is in a month, I bet Harry will ask you, you just have to let him know you like him, try flirting I think that works, well it doesn't when I want Ron to like me but he's always around Lavender. Ughhh." "Oh Hermione thank you! I have so much confidence now, and you should know Ron loves you." "Well then why is he Lavender's boyfriend?" I said with agony.

"It's probably cause he wants to make you jealous, Hermione." said Ginny confidently. "Then I will make him just as jealous." "At least he hasn't kissed Lavender yet," I said hopefully. "Yeah don't worry Hermione, you'll have him now or then." said Ginny. "Thanks" I said weary. I then hugged her and headed off to the Great Hall for dinner. Well two can play at that game.

I was walking down the halls when I saw Draco alone. I bet he just finished eating. I walked by and had a plan. I ran back to him. Then it started. "Hey Draco, would you be my boyfriend?" I asked faintly.

Chapter 34

Just then a bunch of girls came running in surrounding someone. I tried standing up to see who it was but couldn't. Who could it be? Just then out of the blue that brown-haired boy walked out of the crowd, walking towards me.

"Hello Her-minny." Viktor Krum said holding out a hand.

I put my hand in his and he kissed it, then letting go of my hand I put it back by my side.

"Hello Viktor. What are you doing here?" I said putting my defense up, but then forgetting that he was under a spell once I saw him at Malfoy Manor.

"Quidditch Championship against Ireland." Viktor said simply then straightening up at someone who was behind me.

I turned quickly around and everyone's eyes were on Draco Malfoy as he sat down, lonely, at the Slytherin Table. I felt bad and guilty for some reason and I couldn't put my thoughts on it.

"What is he doing here?" Ron's voice interuppted into my thoughts, tearing my eyes away from Draco towards Ron, who's face was red and maddened towards Viktor.

"Viktor came to say hello, I think. Actually, what are you doing here, Viktor?" I said raising an eyebrow.

"I just wanted to come and say thank you, to all of you. You saved my life." He said nodding.

"It's no problem, Viktor." Harry said then Ginny rolled her eyes and hit Harry on the shoulder.

"Hermione and Ron practically saved Viktor, Harry." Ginny said sighing.

Boys.

"Well I think I should go..-" Viktor said interuppted by Ron.

"Yes I think you should." Ron said angrily, crossing his arms, grabbing my hand.

I tore my hand away from Ron and shook my head in disbelief.

"Sorry for Ronald's behavior Viktor and your welcome. Hope you're okay, good luck at the match." I said smiling, watching Viktor nod and walk off with the girls surrounding him once again, screaming with delight.

I sighed and ignored Ron for the rest of the day.

Chapter 35

What was going on with my life? Everything happening from Ron, to Draco, to Voldemort to all the stress and drama in my life. How do I deal with all of this?

"Hermione?" Harry asked putting a hand on my shoulder.

I sighed and turned towards him.

"Yes, Harry?" I asked.

"Is something wrong? Well I mean there has to be something wrong, but what's the matter?" He asked taking a seat across from me.

I knew the answer well, very well. We were in a Library, that's where all of my thoughts and emotions come clear to me. It's whenever I read a book it might inspire with me or relate to how I'm feeling at the moment. Luckily, when those emotions relate and I start to cry no one can see me, one of the advantages of being Head Girl, comes with having your own part of the Library.

"I'm overwhelmed, Harry. With everything. The whole thing at Malfoy Manor, my feelings for Ron...and Draco." I said, muttering the last part.

Harry took my hand and squeezed it.

"It will be alright, 'Mione. Remember you have people who love you and care about you, all around you." He said nodding.

I tried to think about his advice and I just sighed. If people love me and care about me, why don't they really show it? Why can't they just come out and tell me? Ron was the exception though, but I loved him back.

"Thanks." I said simply.

Harry nodded. "Well I have to go, Ginny is waiting for me. We're having...some tea." He said blushing a little and walking off, out of the library.

I laughed and shook my head in disbelief. It was obvious that Ginny and Harry were going off for a date. I had an idea and walked out of the Library to the Head's dorm. I walked in and saw Ron, sleeping on the couch. I smiled and walked over to him, kneeling in front of him. Before I could say anything to wake up Ron that voice stung me, it made me cringe at the thought of who it was.

"Granger, may I speak to you?" Draco Malfoy asked coming out from the darkness.

Chapter 36

"Go away." I muttered under my breath, but stood up and looked at Draco with a forced smile. "Tell me the truth. Are you here to steal me away or not? What is it? I would like to know. After all what happened at the mansion, with everything, what happened?" I asked with narrowed eyes.

"Well, I was under a spell apparently." Draco said scratching the back of his head. He wasn't quite sure really, he had just heard some parts from what his father had said and apparently his father was under a spell as well. However he acted that way all the time, so it didn't really matter. "And so I took Voldemort away.." He said still a bit confused.

"Where did you take Voldemort away too? Is he dead? Is he alive? Is somebody watching over him?" Hermione said her eyes widened at the thoughts of it all.

Ron suddenly woke up with the yelled and yawned.

"Oi, what's happening here?" Ron asked standing up and taking Hermione's hand.

Hermione sighed but let Ron do the talking. There was nothing to really stop it anyways, Ron kind of liked to ramble...or wait was that herself?

"Malfoy, what do you want? Aren't you supposed to be staying back home with daddy?" Ron said narrowing his eyes at the boy.

"Shove off, Weasley." Draco said rolling his eyes at Ron. He could've thought of a better insult but with all the stress around him he didn't really feel lie it.

"Ron, Dr-Malfoy said that he was under a spell when he captured us, the whole thing. I'm guessing that the spell wore off when...well I think..that Voldemort had gotten killed?" Hermione interjected, looking over to Draco.

Draco nodded. "Yes and well...about Voldemort's whereabouts...I need to talk to you two about that..." He said nervously.
