The BBC released new looks at some of the elements and scenes from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone that will be featured on J.K. Rowling's interactive site, Pottermore, including the first look at the questionnaire fans fill out to get their perfect wand from Ollivander's wand shop, which involve information on eye colour, height versus age, and worst fears. New shots of Privet Drive, the first paragraphs of the beginning of the book, and a sneak peek at the Dursleys backstory are displayed, as well. That can be seen, via HarryLatino's tip, below; screencaps can be found in our galleries.
Pottermore is currently scheduled to send out welcome letters to fans who signed up via the Magical Quill challenge last week. If anyone has been accepted into the beta site, please let us know!
I am so excited! For a second I thought that it had already opened for some people and I was like "WHY NOT MEEEEE?!?" This looks so awesome! It looks like we get to create a character so we are not going through the story as Harry, but it is Harry's story? I'm a little confused, but I am sure it will be wonderful and amazing.
I'm already bouncing off the walls!!!!! Both literally and metaphorically... I can't wait for it to actually come out come out!!!! It looks really awesome and I really really really can't wait to get a chance on it!!!!!!!!!
every email that pops up I keep checking as if it's a life or death matter ahaha. I can't wait to get a welcome email and explore, the suspense is killing me!

And yay! I saw this and my stomach dropped, thinking I'd missed out on the first letter. But then I opened it and saw I maybe hadn't!

Masterofmystery i just want to know where did you hear the news that they had started to send out the letters? I have also heard rumours but no official sites stating that they have started even though they say they start 7th onwards. As of what i know, no body has their email yet? If you do find an offical source please link me thanks alot!

What reason would there be to lie about something like that on a Harry Potter site, if you don't mind me asking?
I am. I havent recieved my email yet. But im so excited. I have been looking at all of the preview stuff. Im just so crazy excited. My family are so sick of me. Every time i mention it they groan loudly.
