We reported a few days ago that there was a rumor that there would be no "Weasley is our King" storyline in Order of the Phoenix.
However, in a new exclusive interview done by RG.net, Rupert says there will be no Quidditch at all in the fifth movie. Mugglenet also reports: Quote:
He also says he was "looking forward" to filming the Weasley is our King storyline, which "may be" in the sixth film.

First they cut out S.P.E.W. with Hermione, now they cut out Quidditch with Ron and Ginny...I know they don't want the films too long, but seriously...how many Harry Potter fans do we know that would complain about a 10 hour long film?

I'm really really sad. It's unfair. Rupert was looking forward to filming Quidditch scenes and I really wanted to see him as Gryffindor's keeper.
I know why they decided to cut these scenes but I think it's totally unfair. "Weasley is our king" storyline is part of OotP. It would have given Ron more importance (just like the prefects storyline). I still hope they will find a way to include Hermione kissing Ron on the cheek. If they don't, I'm gonna be really sad (because they already cut Hermione's jealousy over Fleur in GoF).
RON IS OUR KING !!

I am really hoping that the director gets wind of all the negative responses to his decision to cut Ron's Quiddich scenes and reconsiders! He is making a HUGE mistake in my opinion! It's terrible! So much happens surrounding Quiddich in the book! Especially the twin's escape....how will they have had their brooms confiscated so that they can call them for that special scene? Or is that going to be cut too?
