We have pictures of a Tales of Beedle the Bard publicity display now at Waterstone's book shops. All 3 can be seen in their full size here.   
According to an employee, there are no current plans for midnight release parties, however that may change nearer the time, depending on demand.
Thanks to Alex for taking the pictures!
The book releases on December 4th.

That's really cool. I haven't seen any signs in American bookstores yet...well at least ones in Virginia  I really do hope they have release parties!...or I'll just have one at my house

Argh, the UK Cover is so much more authentic.
The US cover is just ... eh. It seems so 'sell out'. If that makes sense.
I guess I'm trying to say that the UK cover advertises the book as TTOBTB, while the US cover just makes it look like HARRY POTTER's Tales of Beedle the Bard.
When I'm reading it I want it to look like I'm reading the book that was described in DH, not an advertising technique for the "muggle world"
And I know, the collectors edition is amazing, but I only have the money for the generic one.

that is pretty cool! i am so excited for the book, but i am actually quite a bit upset about the advertising...i think they could have done much better. The posters are so primary colours it would have looked amazing if they made the posters like a giant tales of beedle the bard book with something like "coming december 4th" on the inside....i dunno. I'm just excited for the book!
