It was warmer in the arena today, and lucky for the students, the purple mats were back down on the ground where they belonged, as were the miniature tray tables acting as desks. With the usual morning sun shining brightly through the large windows, opened just a hint to let in some nice crisp morning air, all in all it looked like just any other lesson. Or perhaps the Professor looked just a little too happy sitting down on her own burgundy mat, lotus style; maybe due to the fact from finally getting those mats down from the ceiling.
Find a mat you like and get comfortable, because that may be the last time you are during the lesson. Class will begin shortly.
OOC: Class has started. If you're just joining us, post your character as if they've been here the entire time, ______or they may just face a little consequence.
Ella gave her friend a small smile and a shrug. She wanted to believe it when people said stuff like that but it was still kind of hard to do so.
O__O
The third year watched as her friend seemed to try and walk, wobble, an fall forward. She tried not to laugh but could help it when a soft giggle escaped. "Laura, you saw what happened to me." The blonde said, walking over and kneeling down next to her friend. "You shouldn't have tried to walk!" Though the feeling was so weird that it was almost like you couldn't help but test it out.
Pointing her wand at her friend, she ended the spell and held out her hands to help the girl up. "Come on, your turn."
...But then Professor Romanos spoke up.
Class was over? Aw man! They hadn't even had a chance to try the other spell. The third year badger frowned a bit as she looked from the Professor to Laura, feeling a bit disappointed. "Alright, I guess we're done then." She added quietly to her friend. "I'm gonna take some notes and then want to walk back to the great hall with me?"
Scribble. Scribble. Scribble.
Gathering her things, Ella placed her bag over her shoulder and waited for her best friend before leaving the classroom."Bye Professor, fun lesson!"
Laura looked at her friend and giggled as she looked at where she was. "This is awesome!" Laura let her friend help her up and then she smiled as she said it was her turn, but the excitement soon left her when the Professor said the class was over, that was over too quick for her liking.
"Yeah I'd love too." Laura smiled at her friend as she also took some notes, when she was finished she put her stuff in her bag and put it on her shoulder. "Thanks for the great lesson Professor." Laura smiled as she walked over to Ella and left the room with her.
Now the girl was on the floor. This was all her fault! What if the girl was never able to stand without falling over again?!?! She didn't even know how it happened! As far as she was concerned she'd done the spell right but then...most of her spells never turned out right...Mm...
When the girl was finally somewhat still Lex raised her wand but then the Professor started talking...
That was it? The end? But she hadn't even gotten the spell right...man....no she just felt like such a waste...
Looking back at Sophie she did a heart hearted wave of her wand and cast the Finite charm that would release her from whatever it was that went wrong with her foot. She bit down on her lip and waited anxiously to see if the girl would be able to stand again... "I'm reeeeaaaaally sorry Sophie!" The girl would probably never pick her for a partner again! She'd be doomed to the life of partners who never got things right just like herself! That wasn't a pretty liiiiiife.
"You need any help?" Because, you know, she felt really awful about it...
Time to go already? That was fast!! Sophie still had her feet up in the air to stopd them from going crazy and making her fall down. Boooat positiooon... pretty much. Hnnnnnnngh!
And there! Alexa cast Finite and Sophie was finally able to stand up properly. "Don't worry, Alexa!" The badger smiled at the younger girl. "Professor Romanos did say this one was a bit more complicated." She nodded her head as she got her things ready to leave class.
The little Gryffindor did seem a bit concerned about Sophie now. How sweet of her! "Everything's fine, Alexa, really!" She smiled reassuringly. "It's not like this is the worst that ever happened to me." Noope. It wasn't. "It was nice working with you! Maybe we will get to partner up again soon, yeah?"
Saying that, the third year turned around to leave the class. "Are you coming?" She asked looking back at Alexa while walking to the door. "Bye, professor Romanos! Fun class! I really like the music!"

Lex was pleasantly surprized by the girl's response. Phew. She didn't think she was a failure. All was good. There was still hope for her DADA future. "Yeah I guess she did say that...maybe you should've been the one to do that one..." Thing would have turned out differently for sure.
She..she even said it was nice working with her! Eeeeeep!!!
"Definitely!" There were few people who Lex partnered up with that didn't end in a total disaster and Sophie was one of them. Yup.
She began collecting her things to leave when she heard her asking if he was coming; meaning she could tag along wherever she was going. Lex nodded with a wide smile then slung her bag over her shoulder. "I'm right behind you!" But first...
"That was a fun lesson Professor! They all were!" This would be one of the classes she missed over the break...Ancient Runes would not be -.-
Then she followed the girl out.

Nodding in approval at Kat's spell casting, Kurumi was about to perform it on herself when she heard Professor Romanos end the class. Oh, that was too bad. Kurumi had sort of been looking forward to a mock duel under the influence of this spell. It would have sort of put them both on an equal playing field because Kurumi was a rubbish dancer and had the balance of a troll. Flicking her wand, Kurumi removed the spells and walked over to Kat and placed a firm hand on her shoulder. "Thanks for partnering with me," she said with a faint smile, chewing on the inside of her cheek to stop herself from adding the 'for her last lesson' to the end of that. "Keep up the good work...next year."
There, the sentiment was there without really saying nor admitting that this was her last lesson, right?
Returning to her mat, Kurumi gathered her things and waited for a moment so she could have a private moment with Professor Romanos before leaving the classroom. Once she had that, the Gryffindor made her way towards the woman and chewed on her lip anxiously. "Professor, I just...I just want to say thank you...for everything," she said with a small smile. Kurumi had something for the woman and her cats, but Kurumi wasn't ready to give that to her just yet because there was still time and Kurumi wasn't entirely ready to admit that this was it.
With another small smile, she offered the woman a bow and then began to make her way out of the room.

Kat beamed at Kurumi. She was thankful that someone awesome partnered up with her in the term's last DADA class. But when Kurumi approached her and said some words, Kat's smile dropped. Right...... Kurumi was going to be graduating soon and this was also her last DADA class... forever. The blonde's throat tightened. She had so many things going on in her head but she was also feeling so much about how close the term will end. "Uhmm... you're welcome," Kat said. She wanted to choke though.
She was going to miss the Lion Prefection... or Future Mrs. Rasting. And the other seventh years like honorary sissy Cass.
"And thanks for everything as well, Kurumi," Kat said. She actually wanted to hug Kurumi but she stopped herself. Then the blonde faced the DADA professor to greet her. "Thank you for the lesson, Professor Romanos," Kat said with a small smile. She felt like she wanted to faint on the spot.
Before doing so, she left. She needed to leave as soon as possible before she faints. Really.

Given what happened just a few seconds earlier, Vickers immediately focused on trying not to lose his wand the second time. Nothing fancy really, more like gripping his wand with both hands and holding onto it like his life depended on it--
-- which of course the second the spell hit him again he was sent flying up and across from the floor, skidding to a halt a few feet away.
Well at least he didnt lose his wand that time innit? Technically anyway...
And suddenly he realized that his legs has stopped thrashing about. He leaned his head forward to see that his legs now stay perfectly still, and just beyond his shoes, a wand was being lowered from someone who was also flat on her back....
Oh look at that, Sierra was down for the count too. Huzzah?
Hearing her asking for help, the mild mannered goody-two shoes in him leapt to his wobbly feet and drew near the Slytherin Prefect, realizing that his own spell has hit its mark. He wouldve done the dancey dance thing to celebrate but his legs has had enough of that already. "Right Sierra... Finite!" he cast onto the brunette's legs and after its also gone nice and still, he even reached out to pull the 6th year up. A gentleman he was mmhmm...
Oh and that was their cue to go. "Uhm... okay, s-see you around Sierra..." he mumbled oh so nicely and smiled at her, trying his utmost best to make his parting from the Minister's daughter as incident free as possible. Because you know, he has plans for the rest of his life and it currently doesnt involve facing a courtroom or vertical metal bars.
Scamper to things, scoop them up, slide by the Defense Professor with "GreatLessonProfesorHaveAGooday...." and out goes this Ravenclaw, who will only belatedly realize afterwards, that for his last DADA class, he succeeded in his first real life duel against an actual living person. Finally.
Sierra was stumbling her way across the floor so quickly that she almost missed the effects her spell had on Vickers. She caught it just in time to see him fly across the area. This surprised her, too, because it gave her the realization that being younger and smaller didn't mean a thing. It was the power behind the wand, or the spell cast with it, that made all the difference.
She was still grinning to herself when she heard him end the spell. All of the sudden, the world around her stopped moving so quickly, and she was standing steadily on her own two feet again. "Cool," she nonchalantly said. "Thanks." She gave him an upward nod of the head and a wave as he walked away. It'd been fun. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor," she said, throwing her bag across her shoulder. With that said and done, she followed Vickers on his way out the door.
