The Interview So, tell us a bit about yourself, age, where you are from, what you do? My name is Sarah and I am going to be a Freshman in high school this year. I live in Minnesota and spend most of my free time dancing. I have two younger brothers.
What was the first book you ever remember reading? It would probably be some of the Junie B. Jones series. My first grade teacher would always read them to the class and I remember reading them myself.
What got you into reading? I think reading Harry Potter got me more into branching out on reading. Before reading Harry Potter, I don't remember reading a lot of non-school required books. HP was such an amazing series I decided maybe I could find some more like it.
Do you have a favorite genre of books? I am really into fantasy books such as Harry Potter, the Hunger Games series, the Percy Jackson series, and the Kane Chronicles series. I also like realistic fiction.
When did you get into Harry Potter and how? It was probably around third grade when my cousin, who is four years older than me, lent me the first book. My mom wasn't sure if she wanted me to read it so I didn't until we were at my grandma's house and I had nothing to do. I started reading and was instantly hooked.
When did you begin writing? I probably began writing around fifth grade. I think it was through Challenge Reading, for more advanced readers, there was a writing club of sorts after school which I joined. Ever since I have loved writing.
What did you write? Through the writing club we wrote mysteries which was really fun. I also think in fifth grade we did a story which could be anything. I wrote a fantasy story inspired by the Goblet of Fire.
Is there a method to the way you write? Normally my writing all starts with a random idea that pops into my head. From there I start building the characters, how they look, personality, etc. Then the plot begins to form in my head and finally I begin the writing process.
What brought you to Snitchseeker? I found SS when I was searching Arithmancy on Google and found the SS RPG's Arithmancy textbook. At the time I was an Arithmancy teacher on a simple Hogwarts RP on a book site called Shelfari. Looking at SS got me interested and I joined right away.
What inspires you to write? J.K. Rowling and SS inspire me to write a lot. Before I got on SS, I was in a sort of down phase in writing and I hadn't written a lot for a while. Reading other peoples fanfics made me want to write more, so I started writing fanfics which lead me to writing other stories. J.K. Rowling has always been an inspirational writer because she wrote my all time favorite series.
Have you written many other Fanfics? Is HP the only genre you write? I haven't really written many other fanfics, but I have begun writing other non-HP works. One that is still in the thought process is about long-lost twins that meet at camp, sort of like the Parent Trap. The mom lives on a farm with Laurel and her ex's twin. While the dad and Lia live with Lia's step-mom a big time actress.
Do you have any favorite authors? My top five are J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter), Suzanne Collins (Hunger Games), Rick Riordan (Percy Jackson and Kane Cronicles), Heather Vogel Fredrick (Mother-Daughter Book Club Series), and Kathryn Stockett (The Help).
What kind of music inspires you? Growing up, I mostly listened to Christian music and much of it can be very inspiring. I have also most recently become a fan of Adele and her songs which can be inspirational.
Do you have any hobbies? You could call dancing a hobby I guess. I have been competition dancing for four years now. I compete in ballet, jazz, tap, father-daughter, and lyrical. This year will be my second year doing point which I don't compete in.
If you were to be sent to a deserted island and could only bring three things, what would they be? Hmmm well can I bring my house? It has all the essentials. If I could bring my house I would bring my house, my friends, and a mall.  But, that isn't exactly three items. For three items I would bring a laptop with built in wi-fi, friends, and my cell phone.
If you were a Bertie Bott Every Flavor Bean, what flavor would you be and why? I think I took this quiz a while back and it said I would be vanilla. I think I would be some changing flavor, like from a sweet vanilla to something spicy. This would be because I am normally nice and sweet but when I am fighting with my brothers, well I can be a little mean.  But, I am normally nice.
Imagine you got the Nobel Peace prize for one of your writing pieces, who would you thank? SS for getting me back into writing. My friends for being supporting. My family for being supporting. J.K. I loved your interview! I never even knew that ss did this! And i also noticed that we have so much in common! It's really really funny! I also had no idea you were a Christian (I got that from you liking to listen to christian music). I think that's awesome!

Love the interview! And I totally think it's awesome that you are a Christian! I am too and love Cristian music! And the dancing sounds like fun though I am totally not a dancer, I am sooo not graceful.
