 If it is your life's ambition to explore every nook and cranny of the school, then odds are you have made the long walk up one of the tallest towers of the castle and stumbled upon a door with no knob. On it is just a simple bronze eagle knocker. This may be a disappointment to some because all of that climbing had been for nothing. Ravenclaws, however, know that this door is very special because behind it is their very airy common room.
Anyone can, of course, approach the knocker and try to get in. After all, to get by you only need to provide an answer to one of its riddles. This will only cause more disappointment to the overconfident non-Ravenclaws who think they can break into the common room at any time. The riddles that the knocker is awaiting answers for aren't exactly easy. Those belonging in the house of Rowena Ravenclaw should be able to answer with ease. Regardless of who answers, if the answer is incorrect the door will not open and you'll be left standing outside until someone comes along with the right answer.

WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM HERE!!
HUMPH!!!!
Chloe flopped to the floor and put her knees to her chest. Maybe she wasn't cut out to be a Ravenclaw after all, maybe she was put in the wrong house and that stupid hat really didn't know what it was doing. She loved being in the house and thought it was awesome, plus everyone was so super nice, but if a Ravenclaw couldn't get into the common room, where they even really a Ravenclaw?
She tried and tried to remember the answer to the riddle, but nothing was coming and everything she had tried was wrong.
Chloe McCarthy was not her happy self!

She was defeated at this point, she was never getting back in the common room, she'd be stuck out here until Peeves came and finished her off or worse the headmistress might find her and send her home for being too dumb. She was about to just lay down when she heard a voice.
Looking up she would have been happy to see her year mate, but it was the look he was giving that made her not want it to be him. He seemed like he thought her pain was funny and that he was glad she was an idiot, maybe he wasn't being the friend she thought she made, "Do I look okay? I stink as a Ravenclaw, I'm not sure why I was sorted here."
There she said it!

Frowning at her now, he stood there, still dripping wet. Honestly, he’d had a pretty bad day himself, but he couldn’t help but smile now. Waving his hand in the air in her direction as if to say *Don’t be so stupid*, he gave her his raised eyebrows look.
“Really? Do you really think that? I mean, come ooooooon. So, you can’t work out one little, tiny, stupid riddle/question”, his face turning into one that contained a warm smile now, despite the fact he was obviously slowly contracting pneumonia due to his wet clothes.
Walking over to the door now, he stood there, listening to the riddle that had confused his fellow Ravenclaw. Briefly, he listened to the riddle before finally, he smiled. “A dice”, he blurted out, an unusual tone of confidence in his voice.
Turning now, he looked at her with a small smile, not as if to rub it in but in a way as if to simply welcome her home. “You know what I think makes the perfect Ravenclaw? No someone who’s amazingly intelligent or full of wisdom...Some who seeks out knowledge. Some who always want to learn and improve”. | |

She didn't know how he could think she wasn't, she got lost getting to class and now she couldn't figure out just a riddle. She watched as he easily figured it out, "See! I should be able to do that too. I should be top of the class like my parents to be in this house and I'm not."
She listened to him as he said what he thought, but she still wasn't fully sure, she didn't feel like a good Ravenclaw and felt she was sorted wrong, but she loved the house and loved the colors, plus everyone in it was great. "Why are you wet?" She was now just noticing that he was really wet. That was very interesting and she almost forgot how yuck she felt seeing him like this. "I want to learn and do well, I want to prove myself."
