Lux had no idea what was with her sister. As much as she loved Willa, they were very different people. For one thing there was a vast difference in temper; while Lux wasn't quick to anger, it seemed that her older sister could fly off the handle for no real reason. Maybe not for NO reason, but for one that was completely lost on Lux.

"I don't understand what I did to annoy you, Willa. Why are you being so snappish with me?" WHAT HAD SHE EVEN DONE???

Willa didn't even bother to answer, instead storming off in a huff.

Seeing the heading of the Daily Prophet article caused Lux to almost spit out her orange juice. It was a very good thing that she had managed to keep a hold on herself, because the last thing that she wanted to do right now was make her mother mad.

Kind, sweet, grandfatherly Professor Botros had passed away yesterday.

It made her sad to think about his family who had to be feeling the loss hard; a lot of people were feeling it since he had been a great man. A great Professor. A great Headmaster.

He would be sorely missed.

This was it.

Lux was officially graduated from University and there was a whole wide world ahead of her. Instead of being nervous at the prospect, she was excited; this was the time for her to set roots down in the potioneering community, and one of the ways that she was going to go about doing that was working with Zhenya. Their healing potions were going to take the wizarding community by storm.

Already they had set up a laboratory and came up with a brand name for their products. Now they just needed the recipes and they could start!

One of Lux's favourite stores to visit in Diagon Alley was Madame Malkins. Even if she didn't end up purchasing anything, the trip was always more than worth it. Besides there was no better shopping buddy than Cinna. Well, Cinna AND Hady.

Beaming, she made a beeline towards one of the display racks, her eyes glued to a couple of dress robes in the most amazing shades of blue. Of course it was the blue ones that always got Lux's attention first. "Aren't they wonderful, Cinna? Of course you could do better." Always supporting the bestie.

Plus it was true.

There were times when Lux felt that she was going to cry from not having her family with her. Even though Hogwarts was new and exciting, a place where she had made new friends, it wasn't HOME. Well, it WAS home, but not the home where she had grown up in. Where her parents were and her siblings came to visit.

Her heart ached.

After dwelling on it for a little while, she grabbed a quill and some paper. Maybe if she wrote to them she wouldn't miss them as much. And besides, soon enough she'd be home for Christmas.

Beyond tired, she was yearning for her bed but knew that she wouldn't be able to sleep. Not yet when this assignment was half finished. Even though she was back to being home schooled, it wasn't as if this was a vacation; mom was as strict as ever when it came to assignments. As she should be seeing as this was NEWT year.

So the question was: What did she know about the history of pureblood supremacy?

Maybe it would be a good idea to write to Teddy. He probably had a book dealing with that.

So this was it.

Her best friend's wedding.

Usually Lux couldn't go for more than a minute without giving Adi a hard time, but this was different. Well, not COMPLETELY different, but different enough that she was finding herself being nice to him. And he had better not get used to it either, because it would be back to sass talk once he got back from his honeymoon.

"Are you ready?" she asked Adi. He sure looked it, and was very handsome though she wouldn't tell him that. "I warn you I might cry during my speech." Okay, she WOULD.

Her best friend had FINALLY realised her dream. "I knew that you were made for this career path," Lux gushed to Zhenya. "Ever since I saw how you were helping look after everyone when the Acromantula attack was over." And of course they were going to continue their potions line for as long as they could; that was their thing.

Beaming, Lux picked up a book from the table and flipped through it. "We certainly didn't learn these spells in Charms class." Fascinating stuff! "Zhenya, I want you to be my Healer." For if she was ever sick or anything.
