Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, a crazy girl named Zoe was born. HI! I AM ZOE!

To start off, this November will mark my eighth year of being a member here at SnitchSeeker. It sure is crazy how time flies by! I have held various positions here over the years, ranging from Hufflepuff prefect to fan club moderator. But today you can find me at the Dept. of International Cooperation (Languages), Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes (Games), and Eeylops Owl Emporium (General HP). I would definitely check those places out, as well as the other areas of the site, when you have the chance.

As for my life outside of the internet, I teach English to secondary/high school students in good old Canada - and, yes, I do have an inexplicable love for maple syrup. When not giving lessons or marking assignments, I love baking/cooking, going to the theatre, reading, writing, and spending time with my family and friends. Here are some rapid-fire facts about me: I have a younger twin brother; my favourite colour is orange; I love scarves; and clowns terrify me.

Oh, yes. There are a lot of teachers roaming around here on SS, and I'm glad to be one of them. Teachers are the best.

1. I can speak French, Spanish, and Russian. I've been able to speak English and French since I was a wee little thing, and I picked up on Spanish quickly later on as it is pretty similar. As for the Russian, I started learning the language after my grandfather shared that a part of my heritage goes back to Russia (as well as France and other parts of Europe). Plus it was different from the languages I had learned previously, so I figured why not.

2. Hmm. This is a tough question. Of the characters that I have played on SS, it really depends on what kind of mood I'm in. If I had to choose, though, I would have to say it is a toss-up between Tancred Adara, Seth Paton, and Demarcus Diggle. I love them all for different reasons. Tancred is the first character that I really enjoyed playing after scrapping the two n00b characters I had before him. He is such a sweetheart, and I've actually brought him to the Ministry because I missed playing him so much. Seth is a bit of a pain at times to say the least, but how he developed from when I first started playing him to where he is now is something that I am always astounded by. Lastly, Demarcus is just a hoot. He is so random and has a sense of freedom to him that just makes him a lot of fun to play.

3. All of the games at WWW are great, though I thoroughly enjoy the elimination games and Harry Potter Hangman. The eliminations can get pretty intense at times, which is something that I love being a part of. For Harry Potter Hangman, I just love the challenge it has to offer. Plus I used to play hangman all the time when I was in school. Sometimes with a friend during class. SHH.

Hi there! Oh, boy. More favourite questions. Can you all tell that I am terrible at those?

1. There are so many books that I love, so I don't think I can say that I have a favourite. The Harry Potter books, The Hunger Games, The Great Gatsby, The Fault in Our Stars, and really anything by Chaucer, Shakespeare, and Stephen King are just a small portion of what I (have) read. You really can't go wrong with those options. There are so many other books out there that I'm forgetting to mention, but I am going to stop before I start rambling.

2. I've always loved Belle. Beauty and the Beast was/is my favourite Disney movie. Or Mulan because she is all kinds of awesome.

I know right. Orange is an amazing colour. It's so ... ORANGE.

1. Anything and everything? Though, if I had to narrow it down to one recipe, I would have to go with my grandmother's chocolate chip cookie recipe. So delicious. The recipe itself is a bit of a family secret, so I can't really elaborate on that.

2. Excellent question! I think I would love to be a shapeshifter ... or be able to fly ... or make myself invisible. Hmm. I'll go with shapeshifter. Why? Because I think that it would be awesome to change my appearance whenever I want. Long hair, short hair, tall, short, whatever. It'd be very convenient. Plus that means I would be able to do the same things that Tonks could. Who doesn't want to be like her?

3. I love, love, love cookie dough, strawberry, and black cherry ice cream. Those are my go-to ice cream flavours. Now I am craving ice cream. Lol.

1. Being a twin is pretty cool. I mean, we didn't like having to share a birthday when I was a kid, but we've gotten over that. Zach and I have developed a good connection with each other over the years, even though we are pretty different from each other. We tend to understand each other better than some of our family members, but that might be because we're crazy.

Nope, not a teacher like me. He's into architecture.

2. Of course! After Gryffindor comes Slytherin. But the real mystery is where I will be going after Slytherin.

3. Care of Magical Creatures or History of Magic. I've always been drawn to CoMC, mostly because I think the magical creatures of the Potter universe are so cool. As for History of Magic, I'm a history buff. Plus I am sure the history of the wizarding world is pretty interesting so long as Binns isn't teaching.

Welcome to SS!

No year-round school for me. It typically begins in the beginning of September and finishes at the end of June.

A lot of my students are fans already as they are still part of the 'Potter generation.' So, it is really easy bringing Harry Potter into the classroom in some way. I imagine this will get harder to do as time progresses, but you better believe I'll try to bring them over to Team Potter.

1. Always the books. They just give so much more, are consistent, and I love reading.

I was indeed a Hufflepuff Prefect. Back in Term 20, I think. *checks* Yep. Term 20, back in 2008.

I have been in Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and now Gryffindor. There is something about each of the Hosues that I enjoyed. Though I think I would have to say that Hufflepuff and Gryffindor have been my favourites. Hufflepuff is where I have spent the most of my time, and I've played a lot of fun characters there. Gryffindor has been fun as well, even though I have only played Demelza there. But I suspect my next Gryffindor character will keep the fun going.

Cooking and baking are my favourite hobbies outside of the Potter world. I love food, so ... that one's kind of obvious. Otherwise I love being able to plop down anywhere and spend a few hours/the entire day reading.

My favourite movie of all time: Mean Girls. Hands down. I love that movie so much.

1. There are many places that I would love to visit. At the moment I really want to go to Australia. It's one of the many places on my bucket list.

2. Is it cheating if I say a teleportation device? If that is too futuristic and doesn't count, then I guess I would bring a boat. That way I could explore the island a bit and then leave when I miss civilization and Wi-Fi. Or a backpack of essential survival materials, if the boat isn't allowed either.

3. There are so many great scenes in Harry Potter. This is such a difficult question of me. But I would have to say that my favourite would be when Neville tells Voldemort that he'll join him when hell freezes over. I really wish that had done that scene right in the movie because it is one of Neville's greatest moments.

For warmer seasons, I love wearing dresses and sandals (or barefoot). Otherwise I'm all about shorts and a cute top. When it comes to colder weather, you better bet that I'll be in layers. Long sweaters, scarves, anything warm really. I don't really have a favourite style of clothing. Just whatever is in my closet works for me.

1. I like my hair long. Though some days I'm tempted to just cut it off just so I don't have to worry about spending so much time doing my hair.

2. The most I've done with my hair is add in highlights. I like my natural hair colour, so I wouldn't want to do too much to it.

3. I love watching my students when something I've said/taught clicks in their mind. Especially those students who normally struggle with the subject. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students get to that "aha!" moment and succeed.

I certainly hope wizards wear trousers. Otherwise they'll be rather exposed. As for the Snape's underwear question, I'm not sure how his underwear would have been seen unless they were above the waistband of his trousers or his trousers were somehow pulled down (up?) a bit while hanging upside down.

I'm not really into Draco/Hermione shipping. Ron/Hermione forever!

I know. I was just thinking about this the other day. I've been here almost 8 years. It is crazy how time flies by!

What kept me here is the fantastic members that are on this site. You get to meet so many people and make great friends. That is essentially what kept me here for so long and continues to keep me here. Plus this site is super fun, so why would you ever want to leave?

Hello there!

1. At the present time, I don't have any aspirations to publish anything I've written. I either think what I write isn't "good enough" or end up not finishing what I started writing. But who knows. Maybe I'll publish something in the future. Only time will tell.

2. I like writing realistic fiction and fantasy. Depending on what it is I'm writing, there'd be some romance, humour, etc. to it as well.

Hi, Bawbag Boyle.

1. I'm afraid that your pal Steve is right. Penguins can't fly. Even though they have wings, penguins are evolved for swimming rather than flying. So I advise you to get your small colony of penguins off of your roof asap.

3. 100 human-sized ducks would be terrifying. Unless they were nice giant ducks. Perhaps someone in Hollywood should make a movie about this? If they can do Sharknado, why not a paddling of giant ducks?

But would I want to fight either group? I don't think so. We could find a way to get along, yes?

I love interacting with the members here. It is really cool that we are all so very different, yet Harry Potter brings us all together. I really love it when the site has a special event or JKR does something that gets the members speculating and having fun.

When it comes to the RPG, my favourite story line was the "No Hogwarts?!?!?!" plot for Term 19 back in the summer of 2008. There was so much drama going on with the boys and girls being split into two different schools in addition to my character's love life. I haven't been as active in the RPG as I once was, but I'm trying to get back into it.



As it is now August my time, a new mod will be posting up a "Meet ___!" thread. Until then, I will leave this thread open until the August mod's thread is up. If there are any last minute questions you all would like to ask me, feel free to post. Thank you so much for asking such thoughtful questions.
