Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, or good night depending on what part of the world you are in as you read this! AND WELCOME TO MY LITTLE THREAD OF PINK
My name is Katherine, but everyone here calls me Pixie or Kath. I am excited to get to talk with all you lovely members this month *waves* I am originally from California, but I now live in Japan where I have a somali cat named Kingsley who I wish would become a lap kitty so I could snuggle with him. Outside of Harry Potter, I am a Disney fanatic and got married at Tokyo Disney Sea in September of 2011. I am also a mommy to an adorable and overly energetic 1-year-old. I am currently in heaven over here in Japan because it is cherry blossom season which means cherry blossom things are EVERYWHERE including Starbucks coffee and cakes, ice cream, and Kit Kats
I joined SS in August of 2010 on a whim when I found an article asking for someone in Japan to report on an event being held in Tokyo and I volunteered to do so.
On site, I currently serve as the Astronomy professor, Professor Airey Flamsteed in the school RP. Previously within the school I was the Gryffindor female prefect for 4 terms with my character Kurumi Hollingberry. I also help run and maintain the School RP's yearbook. I am also a shopkeeper and run the Leaky Cauldron in the Diagon Alley RP, am the Department Head for Magical Accidents and Catastrophes in the Ministry of Magic RP, am the Editor-in-Chief for the Daily Prophet in Diagon Alley.

1. I SHOULD say pink, but I don't really consider it my favorite probably purple :3 or anything in pastel
2. if I am going out (other than to run errands like the store) then I have to shower before hand and I always shower at night AND soak in the bath Japan is a bath culture, so you get all clean beforehand and then soak it up in the bath with bath salts and stuff to relax.
3. UM UM UUUUUUM BATH AND BODY WORK'S BLACK RASPBERRY VANILLA AND WARM VANILLA SUGAR
4. Japan, England, and Spain England and Spain were for soccer training, so I literally only saw the pitch

Well...he has been listening to the audiobooks ever since he was in the womb. Did the whole headphones on my tummy sort of thing. Right now he can't sit still longer than 3 seconds before he tries to grab the book I am reading to him...so just audiobooks for now
It's funny how they named a car color that when its more of a deep purple... obviously they don't know the reality of JCB color

1. My cousins live there So my mom and I flew out to spend a week with them at Thanksgiving when I was 13
2. So far...no. Not really. Everything I've done up to now has been either something that I learned/did with my dad or things that I found interesting. Several topics - namely black holes - were inspired by the wonderful and amazing RPers that attend my lessons. I get so much inspiration from reading posts and interacting with everyone's characters that I have this ridiculously long list of potential topics.
Next term though...definitely Space Camp inspired

Do you think you would be a good contestant on Survivor? WHY/WHY NOT?
YES! TWICE! It was awesome the best part was on the last day we got to participate in a flight simulation (either as ground control or in the actual shuttle) and I got to be the pilot. We had a practice day before the "test" (highest scoring group got a prize) and during practice nothing moved, so on the actual test day the guy who was the commander and myself didn't buckle up and just pretended to...and then the machine turned on and we fell out of our seats it was so much fun
OMG SURVIVOR! No, actually, I think I would make a horrible contestant. The physical aspect of it would do me in. I can hardly will myself to exercise every day...so my will power is pretty pathetic. I'd vote myself off the island

So, yes, I love Sailor Moon and am SUPER excited for the reboot *wiggles* I've also memorized musical numbers from Sera Myu and performed them at conventions in costume. Tons of fun
