Here's my question:

Why did you choose the Slytherin as your favourite house of Hogwarts?:hermy:

Nice to meet you, too! :)

Well, not only is it the house where I was sorted, but I also admire the traits of cleverness and determination.

I want a Weasley sweater... can't find one... can't knit... do you think it would be really hard to learn to knit, then knit one by november 19th? My guess is no.

It really isn't that hard to knit, you can even learn how to knit on line or take instruction. There are only two stitches to learn, really, and if you are able to master both of those by that time, you can do it. My guess would be you're probably better off starting with something simple like a scarf and working up, though! But, it can be done if you want it badly enough! :)

Hi! Nice to meet you!

I've never role played before, any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to just jump into it and start playing, that's what I did! You can read what other people are posting and get an idea from that of what to do, it really isn't hard!

Very soon, there is going to be a quiz announced for students who haven't been sorted yet. (Don't worry, it's posted all over the site so you can't miss it.) Once you see that announcement, you go and take the quiz. The only requirement is that everyone must have 10 official posts.

No, you just look for the announcement, which is all over the site. Believe me, you won't miss it, just keep visiting back every day!

I like that in spite of what others may think of him, he still had incredible family loyalty and loyalty to his house.

Good, and how are you?

Once you get sorted, you will be given access to Diagon Alley, where all the shops are. Go to Ollivander's Wand Shop and you will be able to take the wand sorting quiz there.

Good luck! :)

Hey everyone! I'm Linda!

I joined SS almost four years ago and have been pretty actively involved with it. I've held many positions around the site which include being a Department Head in the Ministry, Muggle Studies Professor in the School (later Divination), Yearbook, Daily Prophet and SOTS writer, and president of many fan clubs. I am currently actively involved as a Knockturn Alley mod and SOTS writer.

Offsite I am currently employed, but keep active by reading, writing, doing lots of knitting, scrapbooking and other crafts and posting here on the site!

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Just nothing too personal, or I probably won't answer.

Thanks, and I'm looking forward to meeting you all!

I love to knit too. Made any house elf hats lately? :)

Well, the people, of course. You can meet many awesome new friends here. And, of course, the RPing is beyond compare. You will all find out for yourself soon, those of you who are going to play in the school! :)

There are lots of good ones out there. Recently, I've read "The Passage" by Justin Cronin, and that's an interesting one. There are supposed to be two more coming out. Percy Jackson is a good series of books, and so is the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. Currently I am reading "The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake" as a book club selection and its interesting.

Oh gee, I think my time here with you guys is done! It has been fun answering your questions, and be sure and check out the two mods who are featured for the month of August. Bye! :)

All times are GMT. The time now is 07:30 AM.
