Hey

Welcome to Snitchseeker, all that... Anyway, I'm Kristin, and one of your friendly mods of the month, representing August. ~~And I'm writing this at almost 3 am, so excuse any babbling. xD~~

A little about me and SS: I've been a member here since December 2007, joining upon the suggestion of another member of Snitchseeker who I'd become friends with on Dissendium.com, and been involved here ever since. Starting with the RPs, where I had two terms as the Ravenclaw prefect, then one as Quidditch Captain. And when the Diagon Alley RP started, I joined that as first a shopkeeper assistant at Gringotts, then moved on to shopkeeper of Madame Malkin's, which I still am now, along with the supervisor of the north side of the street. I also am involved in the Ministry RP, as a member of the department of Magical Law Enforcement, and have been the Divination professor in the school RP for the last two terms.

Outside of the RPs, I'm also one of your lovely mods right here in Platform 9 3/4, and I wrote for the site magazine (and was head writer for), Seeker of the Snitch, until it was dissolved fairly recently due to time issues. I'm also the sponsor of the Arthur and Molly Weasley fan club, and am a member of quite a few others.

In case you haven't figured it out by now (or noticed my tag), I'm a bit of an RP addict, but luckily that only began after I was done with schooling. Yes, I am an adult, with a bachelor's degree in art, emphasis in art history. Although, I don't use my degree much, seeing as I'm a lowly sales assistant at the Kohl's near my house. My house where I ~~sadly~~ live with my mother (who doesn't appreciate my being just this side of an insomniac) and my cat, Hermione.

I love to write/create the multitude of characters who populate my brain, read (of course), watch television/see movies, draw... I've known how to cross-stitch, crochet and knit for a while now but haven't actually created anything lately...

Now to set you loose. Feel free to ask me anything, and I'll try to answer the best I can. (There are some types of questions I struggle with. Just to warn you) And definitely, have fun and keep aware of the rules.

Wouldn't want to start things off on the wrong foot.

Hi Kristin, did you always want to be in Ravenclaw or did you first have a choice before you were sorted? I would love to play Quidditch for my house one day too.

how old were you when you started to like Harry Potter, and do you think it is possible to get a degree in Harry Potterism? If so, would you study Harry Potter?

And in response to your comments about your cat, we recently got a tabby kitten which my daughter named Lily. I would have perhaps named her Minerva, but Lily seems to suit her. Sweet kitty.

As long as you're a member, you should be able to take the quiz. I don't know why it would cause any problems. If you're still having this issue, let me know and I'll see what can be done.

It was really fun. Getting to come up with ideas for my column, listen to everyone else's as well, and then getting to see it published on site was amazing. Definitely. And I really am sad it had to go away.

And lmao, honestly? I was surprised when I got sorted into Ravenclaw here, as that had never occurred to me. (Even though I'm kind of obsessed with books/reading, and can occasionally relay odd facts about things. Usually pop culture, though) Every other time I'd been Sorted, on the WB HP site, facebook, etc., I'd been sorted into Gryffindor. But now I'm happy being an Eagle.

And actually, you already are a member. Seeing as your username is a pretty cyan color. Unless that changed between when you'd posted and when I first saw this post.

Either way, you should be able to post to your heart's content now. ~~without spamming, of course~~

That's a simple answer. You sign up and try out.

And prove to the captain that you deserve to be on the team, and can add something to it to make it that much better. (In the case of the RP teams, that would involve a knowledge of HP trivia, or at least a quick hand at Google.

Actually, I was already in college when I started liking HP. Specifically, around the time HBP was published. So, 2005-ish. I was a late starter, but I caught on quick.

And I think that would be awesome, if you could get a degree in HP. I definitely would study that if I could.

Why thank you. And I'm on here a lot, even if I don't manage to do much other than idly chat in St. Mungo's. Most of the time, it's when I should be asleep, though. So I'm dedicated, but some people wouldn't necessarily think it was a good thing.

But oh well.

Honestly, I don't know that I really have one. Although I like GoF and the subsequent books a bit more, just because they're a bit more involved and everything. I enjoy and love them all pretty equally, though.

Do your coworkers know you love HP? I ask because I'm 30 and love HP, and get laughs from my older sister, so in no way would I let any of the people I work with know.
