Hey Welcome to Snitchseeker, all that... Anyway, I'm Kristin, and one of your friendly mods of the month, representing August. And I'm writing this at almost 3 am, so excuse any babbling. xD
A little about me and SS: I've been a member here since December 2007, joining upon the suggestion of another member of Snitchseeker who I'd become friends with on Dissendium.com, and been involved here ever since. Starting with the RPs, where I had two terms as the Ravenclaw prefect, then one as Quidditch Captain. And when the Diagon Alley RP started, I joined that as first a shopkeeper assistant at Gringotts, then moved on to shopkeeper of Madame Malkin's, which I still am now, along with the supervisor of the north side of the street. I also am involved in the Ministry RP, as a member of the department of Magical Law Enforcement, and have been the Divination professor in the school RP for the last two terms.
Outside of the RPs, I'm also one of your lovely mods right here in Platform 9 3/4, and I wrote for the site magazine (and was head writer for), Seeker of the Snitch, until it was dissolved fairly recently due to time issues. I'm also the sponsor of the Arthur and Molly Weasley fan club, and am a member of quite a few others.
In case you haven't figured it out by now (or noticed my tag), I'm a bit of an RP addict, but luckily that only began after I was done with schooling. Yes, I am an adult, with a bachelor's degree in art, emphasis in art history. Although, I don't use my degree much, seeing as I'm a lowly sales assistant at the Kohl's near my house. My house where I sadly live with my mother (who doesn't appreciate my being just this side of an insomniac) and my cat, Hermione. I love to write/create the multitude of characters who populate my brain, read (of course), watch television/see movies, draw... I've known how to cross-stitch, crochet and knit for a while now but haven't actually created anything lately...
Now to set you loose. Feel free to ask me anything, and I'll try to answer the best I can. (There are some types of questions I struggle with. Just to warn you) And definitely, have fun and keep aware of the rules. Wouldn't want to start things off on the wrong foot.

Wow! you are sooo ahead of me. What type is your cat? We havea black and white who talks all the time. Up to this we have always had very chilled tortoiseshell ones. She is very funny, but loves getting into trouble.

Hi. And, timing-wise, it could seem that way, but actually, the answer to that is no. I joined because somebody recommended it to me. I'd been involved in HP sites before DH came out, and it all just transferred over to here.

If I knew how to knit I would have done this
Hello! *waves*
Well, thank you for the suggestion, but odds are I wouldn't try this any time soon. Considering I've only ever knitted scarves. I was contemplating knitting a Hogwarts scarf at one time, though. I just haevn't gotten around to it (actually, I never finished the random scarf I was working on before that idea came up.)

Quidditch captain was fun, stressful, and probably everything you would expect something like that to be. To answer your question in a nutshell.

Hi Thank you. And to be honest, I don't know that I really have one. here on SS I'm partial to Ravenclaw, as that was where I was sorted when I first came, but I also have played RP charries in the other three houses (mostly one other sites, although currently two out of my three SSRP charries are former Gryffindors.). So there are parts of myself loyal to all of them.

Ah, Pottermore... Yes, I did get to join, on day three of the Magical Quill challenge (after figuring out a way around the Yahoo mail issue, courtesy of secondary email accounts.)
To SilverRain: Yep. I got the second email this morning. So time to wait for the official Welcome email.
DimasF1: Unfortunately, if you didn't get to register during the Quill challenge, it seems there aren't any ways to register for Pottermore until it opens in October.

Good question. Although I don't know that I ever would get a HP tattoo. I've contemplated getting a Celtic knot tattoo before, but haven't gotten up the courage to do it (or had the money).

Ahead of you how? *curious*
My kitty is a black domestic longhair, and actually pretty quiet most of the time unless she's looking for me. Sometimes we wonder if she has separation anxiety.

It's great to meet you. I was just wondering (and since you're such a huge role-play fan, you would be perfect to ask) how to join the RPG after you get sorted.
Haha, my grandparents have a cat named Hermione too! I was the one who picked out her name when they first got her. She had a brother who I named Harry, but he was given to another home. My family also got two kittens a couple weeks ago. One is a tabby and the other is black with white on its paws, neck, and stomach. I named the tabby Albus and the other one Severus!
You've probably heard this loads of times already, but I really like your cat's name. The next time I get a pet, maybe I'll consider naming him/her after one of the Harry Potter characters.
My question is: if you could be an animagus, which animal would you want to be?
What kind of stuff do you draw? Just Harry Potter related items, or other things as well?
Also (I apologize), but if you don't mind, is there somewhere we can view your art, such as DevianArt I believe it's called or something of that nature?
