Meet Si

Hey guys! The name's Si and I'm from North Carolina which is in the United States. I've been here on Snitchseeker for nearly six years now and I've held various positions around the site including Ancient Runes Professor. As of now I'm a moderator in the St. Mungoes Forum which is where the infamous SH thread is located. I'm a HUGE movie buff and I have a varied taste in music which means I pretty much listen to anything. Ask me anything you want, I promise I don't bite ;]

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Siiiiiiiiiiiiiii!! :hello:

Do you have any inspirations when creating titles for SH threads? If so, what are they?

Hi Rheaaaaaa

UM well usually when I do my thread titles I"ll base them off of a good movie or a good television show I've watched recently. If I can't come up with something I go listen to a song or something then try to incorporate that into a thread title. The most recent one, however, is because I really couldn't think of something witty so sometimes I'll go with whatever pops up into my head.
Hi!

My favorite silent film? Metropolis. It's one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen in my life. The movie brought out so many emotions I couldn't even begin to describe them. It was my first silent film and you never forget your first. :')

If you were on the Island S1 of Lost, would you have survived?

UHH I think I would've survived but barely. Knowing me I would've ended up nearly dead a couple of times and probably kidnapped by the lovely folks of New Otherton.

um...so...since ur in north carolina...how long did it take u to get to hogwarts? what transportation did you take?:madeye:

Ah, Metropolis. Do you like the film only for its aesthetics or also for its message?

Are you anticipating the release of The Hobbit?

What was your favorite HP movie? And do you play the games?

I took a muggle device called an airplane to get to London so I could take the train from there. It took me probably 14 hours on a plane and then however long the train ride is from London to Hogwarts. ;]
I love both aspects of the film but the aesthetics are what made me fall in love with it.
YES IF IT EVER GETS A STABLE DIRECTOR. I heard Del Toro stepped down from it. Jackson just needs to step up and direct it himself dang it.
My favorite HP movie is probably Prisoner of Azkaban because I'm a sucker for a pretty movie with some plot thrown in. No really I liked it because I thought the cinematography was gorgeous and the mood created suited the book.

& I actually don't play the HP games but I play others :D

Hey nice to meet you! I'm Emms.. so what type of genre of books do you like?

Nice to meet you too Emms! I'm usually open to read anything except your stereotypical beach book like a Nicholas Sparks novel. Lately I've been reading a lot of classical literature (I'm actually about to start Dante's Inferno) so there you go :)

hey si! i wanted to know...what is your absolute FAVORITE movie? i work with kids a lot, do you like working with kids??? :)

I know right!! I was so disappointed when I heard he quit, but I think Jackson can do it justice.

If you could be a character in any NON HP movie who would you chose and what movie would it be?

Hey there!
& this is SUCH a hard question. There isn't ONE movie I enjoy because I like so many different ones! I'm gonna give you my favorite movie as of right now though. It's called The Fall and it was directed by Tarsem Singh who is FANTASTIC even though he's only done two films.
OOOOH this is a good question! I love Quentin Tarantino's portrayal of women in his films so I would DEFINITELY be a woman from one of his films. I'm gonna go with Beatrix Kiddo from Kill Bill.

HP Directors

Which director was your favorite out of all the Harry Potter films?

Alfonso Cuarón, the director of PoA because he brought a new, more grown up feel to the HP films. Sure the story wasn't the best but I place that blame on the writer more than the director.

Hi Si! Who is your favorite author?

Hey there! My favorite author is Jonathan Safran Foer to be perfectly honest. Everything Is Illuminated remains to be one of my favorite books of all time.

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

It could chuck as much as a woodchuck could if a woodchuck could chuck wood ;]

Congratulations on your promotion Si.

Hi! If you were trapped on a deserted island for one month with any one of the Harry Potter characters, who would you pick and why?
