Meet PhoenixRising http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ps57ac65bf.png Hello all and welcome!!! My name is Jess and you get to know me during this fabulous month of November (before the Holiday craziness REALLY begins). I've been a part of the SnitchSeeker magic for the past seven years (as of this past month - October) and am thrilled to have gotten to know so many of you over the years! Though in truth, I was never actually active on the site until January 2007, since I kind of forgot about it temporarily for 3 months. But when I found my way back (due to the lovely lioness, shortfry), I was sorted into the house of Hufflepuff in February 2007. I then began playing my first School RP character ever, Amelia Mae Rose, as a second year. With hardwork and loyalty, she was named Prefect in her fifth and sixth years, and then became Quidditch Captain in her seventh year, graduating in the class of 2066. I continued on with the School RP with two more student characters - Dominic Denton and Aaron Rose - before being asked to be Arithmancy Professor in Term 25. A position in which I held up until this past term, when I switched to Muggle Studies, albeit still with same character - Josephina F. Hadley. Other than the School RP, I've worked in various positions in the Ministry RP, beginning first as Department Head of Transportation back in early 2008 until Fall 2009 when I resigned to take on the challenges of being a DA Shopkeeper (I've worked in Primpernelle's, Gringotts, and WWW). When the Ministry was revamped in 2010, I brought back Dominic in Games and Sports. And most recently, I play the kid-sister to my Hogwarts character, Alexandria Hadley, former Space Evolutionist in the Department of Mysteries and current Climate Controller in Environmental Protection Department. Outside of the RP, I'm also one of the moderators for the Fan Clubs, which have recently been revamped. We're always looking for new members and officers, so feel free to peruse those forums once you become a member! In real life, I currently live in the Anything else? Ask away! Quote:

Hi! Since I'm a newbie and find it little difficult getting used to this site (and posting ten replies here without spamming), I would like to ask tips how to get going. Not with these ten posts but after that - how to settle down here, get to know people and stuff. Like what should I look first, where to post and such. It would be awesome to hear how you get it going here. |

There are a couple ways that I found to get going; one, which was probably the most addicting part of the site - in my opinion - and what held me here so long: the expansive Wizarding RPG that we have here. Unfortunately, you just missed Ministry placement and School Sorting will be next month, but there is still places to RP. Mostly meaning the Diagon Alley RPG, where you could explore future characters and get a feel for them ... =). Bear in mind if you plan on playing a first year next term, then keep in mind their age and how they shouldn't be wandering the streets alone (i mean, would you let your 10 year old out alone?). At the same token, if they're older and will be transferring, shouldn't they be in school of some kind now? Two: The fan clubs. A place where you can discuss and fan over a variety of characters/actors/creatures and get to know others who share the same interests. Three: St Mungos. Our very own site chat thread where double posting is encouraged, as is silliness. Go wild, but keep it appropriate. Great place to get to know others too ;) There's also the game forum, if that's your thing .... Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK! Looking forward to seeing you around! :glomp: |
JESSSSSSSSS LOVEY :glomp: :loved: I have questionsssss :whaa: 1) Is English your only language? 2) What was your inspiration for Ollie? 3) How are you such a good writer? 4) How much do you love me? :loved: 5) Lastly, HOW ARE YOU SO AWESOME??? Love, 1/2 Lucky Clover :) |

your questions are hard :whaa: LOL 1) My primary language, yes. Although I do speak some Spanish and Hebrew, I've lost some over the years due to lack of usage =(. 2) That's a hard question, BUT I guess ... his family outline was already there (re: Amelia is his aunt and she was my first character and all). So as far as inspiration for him - and most of my other characters - it comes a mix of watching movies / reading books / and all of you too. Like I'll see personalities I like and be like 'oooh that would make a good RP character', but i don't always play them at first, just when the time is right ^_^ 3) I'm not that good, but thank you  I guess practice though? 4) To the moon and back infinity times? :loved: 5) BECAUSE I JUST AM!!!!!!!!! :sup: <3 Quote:

Jess!!! I have questions... pick me, pick me. *ahem* 1. Out of all of your charries who has been your favorite to play? 2. What is your favorite book series, next to HP of course! :P 3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would that be? 4. Can we still trade jobs... pretty please!?! 5. Do you see yourself ever playing a student charrie in the SRPG again? |
Quote:
*picks the GREEN one down in front* 1. Dominic .... But at the same token, I don't foresee bringing him back for the Ministry anytime soon. I've tried that. I do enjoy still playing him in DA though ... ;) . Of my two current characters, I think Alexandria. But I like them both *sighs* 2. Not really a series, cause HP is really the only series I read - but I'm a fan of Nicholas Sparks books :loved: And Looking for Alaska I enjoy too. 3. Israel. Or Australia, maybe 4. Yesssss !!!! :x3: 5. Maybe ... Idunno. We'll see :shifty: |
Jess.. JESS.. JESS... *FLAILS AROUND* Okay.. questions.. hmmm 1. Favorite plot that's been on SS? 2. Favorite sweet? 3. If you could be in any cartoon from your childhood what would it be? |
*jumps in* I would not miss getting to know one of my fave SS people even more. First off, thanks for being a great friend over the years and helping out with all my crazy questions and stuff especially when it comes to our beloved FCs. :loved: Okay. Question time! 1. Do you like the Fresh Prince of Bel Air? 2. What's your fave shape of pasta? 3. Do you like Barbie? 4. Do you like cooking? 5. What trait of yours did you put in Hadley? That's all for now! :glomp: |
Quote:
heh.......... answers? ;P 1. Hard one. I could be cliche and say the first plot I ever saw - term 15 - but I really didn't get it cause I was a newb and all. BUT I think my favorite plot probably was the term 19 one - Belles and Coopers. It was just well-thought and the staff worked so hard to make everything run so smoothly that term 2. CHOCOLATE!!! More specifically, DARK CHOCOLATE! *noms* 3. I didn't really watch cartoons, so I'm going to go with childhood SHOW, instead. Full House :loved: I'd so want to be in that. Just cause. Yea. Quote:
1. I ... never saw, so no? :| 2. uh... plain spaghetti? Or elbow pasta? Cause yea, macaroni n' cheese! *brows* 3. I did. 4. I suppose, but I don't really cook. I think I'd LIKE to explore it though, some day. Eventually. I mean I did enjoy cooking class in high school and whatnot. 5. Um. |
OH HAI Jess!!! :hello: *waves frantically* :x3: Well here are my few questions pour vous :) 1. Is it challenging being the Head of House for hufflepuff? 2. Could you recall a favorite term of yours? 3. What is your favorite holiday? 4. (Belle made me ask this...) Do you remember my first charrie Belle? :D 5. Lastly...who is your favorite superhero??? :3 |
Quote:
1. Sometimes, but most of the time I enjoy it! :huff: 2. I guess I'll have to go with favorite plot, which is Belle/Cooper's split schools Term 19. THOUGH Term 20 was a pretty favorite term too - lots of fun RP memories to be had then, including getting my first detention (with Dominic in a library.) ;) 3. Would it be weird if I said I don't have one? Working retail the past three years has kinda made me dislike all the holidays :|. Do birthdays count as holidays? Cause those are always nice. 4. I do ;) Anything in particular does she want me to remember about her? 5. uhhhhhhhhh........... the fairy godmother? She's kind a superhero and saves the day ;P. We don't really watch superheros *blushes* |
JEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS *makes really annoying loud noises to get your attention* HAI!!! *rolls out list of questions* Let's get right into it, shall we? 1. Arithmancy or Muggle Studies? 2. Would you ever sort to Gryffindor? 3. IS LEX HADLEY'S FAVOURITE GRYFFINDOR??? 4. Do you think you'd survive in the wizarding world? |
Hi! so here's my questions! 1. Is it hard to be a quidditch captain? 2. Is it challenging to be a prefect ? 3. What would you choose? Divination or Muggle Studies? |
Quote:
HAI! <3 your turn to ask me now, eh? ;) 1. *winces* That's tough, cause my heart is always with Arithmancy. BUT Muggle Studies is good too. I suppose if it were RL, I'll go with Muggle Studies  2. If you asked me that two years ago, I'd give you a definite NO. But present-day me says, maybe - it's a possibility and only time will tell :shifty: 3. :shifty: Hadley says she doesn't HAVE favourites. Much. *coughs* 4. Honestly? Probably not, even though I wish I could say yes. BUT yay for having an imagination with characters who CAN ! <3 Quote:
Hi there! Welcome! :glomp: 1. Not hard, but it does take patience and organization. 2. Not particularly ;D 3. Muggle Studies. |
We shall have to organise some sort of...something to get you into cooking  It's fuuuun! *Has more questions* 1. What's your fave genre of music? 2. When you ever get sad or you feel you need to get away from life, how do you deal with that? 3. Would you ever re-sort? *eyes you.* *super glues you to Huffie* 4. I know you had quite a few charries but if you could RP one of them as a student again, which would it be? Why? 5. Do you miss Jory? :P |
Hi there it's great to be back just in time to see that we can get to ask you questions. So here are mine. 1. How did you get to be so brilliant in Arithmancy and was it hard to teach? 2. I heard that one of your charries was awesome playing Quidditch. Do you miss playing it? 3. Have you ever visited or lived in the town where Hadley was born? 4. Which is your favorite meal? 5. Have you visited the Harry Potter Park in Orlando yet? Well that's it from me? My new charrie is looking forward to being taught by Hadley. I'm sure she'll have something silly to ask her :D |
Quote:
1. COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!! :music: sorry, that's an easy one. (cause today's a good day to get a little mud on the tires ;)) 2. *bites lip* Um, well ... chocolate, specifically DARK chocolate is a go-to for a quick fix. or just getting out of town for a day  3. I dunno :x3: possibly, depending on the character. *clings to Huffie too8 4. Dominic :loved: THOUGH, on the same token, i think it'd have been fun to explore either Alex or Fina as students .... see what made them into who they are today? i mean i have some vague idea, but it's different when you actually play something out versus what you imagine to have happened. ^_^ 5. Of course ;) Quote:
1. Interest. If you have an interest in something, then it makes it easier to learn about and teach. And I think Arithmancy especially seems interesting because of how little it's dabbled in within the series, but yet even Hermione said it was fascinating. 2. Only one was awesome at it? What about my other two students? :gasp: BUT YES, it's one of the things I miss MOST about being a student. Though I'm not sure I'd be able to keep up these days  3. I wish :x3: I've never even been to any country in Europe. 4. Gonna go with a classic favorite of mine that mom used to make when I was little. it's simple too, called 'noodles and pot cheese', which is just spiral noodles (usually), with cottage cheese and some spices like black pepper. when the cottage cheese gets all melty, it's soooo good and nommy <333 5. Nope :upside: One day. Maybe. But your new character wont be taught Arithmancy by Hadley ;) haha, no matter. Looking forward to it anyway XD |
Hello, it is a pleasure to meet you. here are my questions: 1) What part of the eastern US are you from? I am from the great state of NJ!!! 2) What is your favorite HP movie? 3) What is your favorite HP book? 4) Which do you like better, the books or the movies? |
Quote:
1. Howdy, neighbor!! :hello: (which translates to I'm physically residing in NJ too 2. I'd say the first one, Sorcerer's Stone, cause they're all cute and ickle ;D .... or the last 3. Prisoner of Azkaban ... ithink  4. The books, though I have learned to appreciate the movies more for their cinematic effects, rather than content ;) |
*raise up my hand* Me! Me! Hi! I'm a newbie and I'm so glad to know about you. Here is my real important question. How do I make friends in the Hogwarts RPG? I'll feel really lonely without friends when I start. Thanks!! ^_^ |
Hello, Jess! (: It's nice to "meet" I suppose! Hehe. My question is...what is your favorite book not HP related? And the author? *waves* |
Hi, Jess! It's a great pleasure to be here meeting you.:glomp: I have some questions... 1) Holidays season is coming.:snowflak: How do you like to enjoy it most? 2) Which do you prefer: Summer or Winter? 3) Next term in Hogwarts RPG I intend to RP with my charrie in Muggles Studies. Could you give me a hint of what annoys Professor Hadley most? 4) As the Portuguese Moderator, I'm feeling alone in the Portuguese Thread... What do you think about learning Portuguese to post anything there? The flies' buzz is driving me mad!:whaa: That's enough for today... I'll be back soon. :D |

Hi there! Nice to meet you and welcome!!! =D You meet friends much the same you would in RL and also as the trio did in the series. Before you get to Hogwarts, you get to play in Diagon Alley, getting your supplies and such. It's a great way to meet people and dip your feet into the RPing world, so to speak. Join the Hogwarts RP fan club (under group memberships in your user cp) and you'll be able to have access to the Hogwarts Haven Forum, which contains a chat and you'll be able to interact with members OOC (out-of-character) and interest in striking up a RP conversation someplace. Toss up ... between Tuesdays with Morrie (Mitch Albom), Looking for Alaska (John Green), or The Best of Me (Nicholas Sparks)^_^ Quote:
1. I work retail . I don't enjoy the holidays, sorry to say  But I guess Hot Cocoa is good... 2. Summer. FOR SURE! =D 3. Nope,. But do come to Muggle Studies and perhaps you'll figure out then what annoys her most .... :shifty: 4. Possibly.... when I get a chance I'll see if I can swing by there. How similar is it to Spanish? I took Spanish in High School (like AGES ago) ... |
