Thank you for this question, seriously!

this question is one I ask my kids a lot even myself.
I have all the books on the shelf, but never have pressured them to read any of them. Each of the older kids have had them on the book lists in the public school but until recently never even considered reading them.
My oldest loves to write, and some of the stories she's done are just incredible! But I've tried getting her into RPing 'cause I think she'd be brilliant, but yet she still hasn't tried it. I found that if you don't pressure them, but tell them of the things you've done since reading the stories, and even talk to them of some of the RP's that you've done, it gains their interest little by little.
Some may say, pfft I'd rather go read 'Percy Jackson' as an example, my oldest son for instance would rather read that, but it don't mean that he doesn't turn around and grab one of the HP books the next time he wants something to read. I have totally engrossed in the HP world, but yet I just nudge them on occasion telling them what's been happening in RP's I've been in. It catches their interest at times, and other times they just roll their eyes
usually more often then not lol
