Hello to all of the lovely SSers!

My name is Kay and I'm the other moderator that you get to meet for the month of November. I'm a California girl who has a graduate degree, tortures the minds of the future teaches, loves to travel, dabbles in photography, enjoys her morning coffee, and shares a love of reading and HP (just like all of you!)

I've been lurking about SnitchSeeker since July 2003 when I started reading some fan fiction that was part of the Potter Project. For some unknown reason, I waited until September to join the site. When I was finally sorted, I was placed into Ravenclaw and have been a true blue Claw ever since. RAWR! As the beautiful and intelligent Ravenclaw student, Kayleen Harrison (my school RP character), I actively participated in the classes and did the homework (um, ever heard of the HOUSE CUP?!). I even joined the Ravenclaw Quidditch team and became the team captain for 3 consecutive terms (my school character earned the nickname, Captain Nutter). My days as a student in the RP ended when my Diagon Alley character, Maximus O. Vindictus, became the Flying Instructor and Quidditch Professor, two positions I still currently hold in the school in addition to being the Deputy Headmaster and the Ravenclaw Head of House.

Outside of the school RPG, I'm also active in the Ministry RPG where I play Rex A. Vindictus, the head of the Department of Magical Games and Sport. I've even dabbled in the Diagon Alley RP this past summer as the Ollivander's Shopkeeper Assistant, William Pickering (he's still around DA but no longer working at Ollivander's).

When I'm not playing around in the addictive role playing worlds on SnitchSeeker (or helping moderate them), I'm busy moderating the Leaky Cauldron and making sure that members obey the site rules (yes, I'm watching you!)

Why am I a Quidditch fanatic on SS? Easy - I'm a sports fan! Love watching American football, hockey, rugby, and football/soccer. In high school, I was a 4-year varsity letterman in Track & Field (throws, sprints), and even coached the sport for several years (certified USA Track and Field coach).

Vindictus is trying to push Kurumi to reach her potential on the pitch (and is wondering where his cookies are).

Now to answering the real questions
1. Beater 'cause you're armed with a protective device amongst all the crazy athletes out there.
2. Hmm...tough one. Usually with one creamer and one sugar, but in the winter time I love the flavored creamers and skip the sugar. This month, the flavor is Pumpkin Spice and next month it'll be Peppermint Mocha.

4. My fuzzy socks that are keeping my toesies warm on this chilly night and the birthday card from my parents that's sitting on the shelf above my computer.

1. That's a tough one because my SS name is in honor of Bellatrix Lestrange, but I'm a Snape fan like many out there

2. At the moment, I'm into sepia prints after going through a B/W and B/W with color tinting phase.

3. Sooo many memories . . . but it has to be Term 13 when Ravenclaw dominated the school and won both the Quidditch Cup and the House Cup and I had the highest point total in the school and was considered to be the Head Girl before we even gave people those positions.

1. I've enjoyed all of the fan fiction that I've read, so it's impossible for me to pick a favorite.

2. I've tried but I'm easily distracted by the school and ministry RPs, as well as the events in real life. Perhaps I should start dictating my stories while driving to/from work because that's when the ideas pop into my head....

Nice to meet you. My name is Phoenixflyer. I chose that name because I love how Prof. Dumbledore's pet saves the day in the HP series. First by providing life to Harry after being poisened, and then getting Dumbledore out of a sticky situation by helping him to escape. I truly felt sad when you hear his cry when Dumbledore falls and passes away. So sad. I kept hoping he would appear somewhere again in the story line, but he never did. I always wondered what happened to him.

So for my question, what unanswered question has always puzzled you from one of the HP books? I would be interested in knowing.

Firebolt because it's FAST.

My broom would have its own invisibility booster (this way Muggles would NEVER see you), cruise control, a shield to protect you from the bugs and the wind as you speed around on your broom, a mechanism that warms up your broom on a cold day and another mechanism that keeps it cool on a hot day, built-in holder with magical charger for my iPhone/iPod and speakers, and finally an instant tail-twig repair mechanism so that the aerodynamics of the broom will never be compromised by bad twigs. All of these things would make my broomstick the best one out there.*

1. History to middle school/jr. high students
2. I enjoy seeing them make connections to past events and discovering new information that they never knew existed.
