Hello, hello, hello! I’m Michelle, preferably Chelle or Chellie, and I’m so excited to be doing Meet your Mod for the months of January and February!

I found Harry potter when I was about 8. My friend had recently seen Chamber of Secrets and was telling me about it, and I thought it sounded SO cool so I jumped straight into watching movie number 2. I am… terrified of snakes, so I actually had nightmares for a bit. In an effort to get me over my fear, my older brother handed me the book for Sorcerer’s Stone and told me to start at the beginning and read through all the available books. I was hooked from then on! Though I think he might have regretted it later when we fought over every book that came out.

My obsession with the magical world then led me to searching for fan sites, which is how I stumbled upon Snitchseeker back in 2007. I was just shy of 13 when I found this community and had never heard of an online RPG but I LOVED reading and writing my own stories so this seemed right up my alley. I joined and jumped right into RPing, mainly in what is now our St. Mungo’s forums but back then was Borgin and Burkes. I’ve taken a lot of breaks because of life, but I always seem to find my way back to this community! I’ve tried other sites over the years, including creating my own with some friends I found on here, but SS is always the one that has been the most like home.

My most recent return to SS was in 2020 during the start of the pandemic and has been the most active and involved I’ve been in all my other times around. Currently I am volunteering in positions of Ministry of Magic Department Head for Department of Environmental Protection, Diagon Alley Proprietor for Nesting Occamy Rentals and Mod for the Number 4 Privet Drive and Honeydukes forums. Previously I have also been a Yearbook Elf, CoMC Professor in Term 60 and Charms Professor in Term 65.

When it comes to offline, I am a mom to two human children and one furbaby and work in management in a finance adjacent field. I love to read, watch tv, listen to music and work on DIY projects around my fixer upper home. I’d much rather be spending all of my time traveling but that’s not been in the cards yet. Maybe one day when my kids are grown and gone

1. RL persons or fictional characters?
2. What comes to mind first when you hear 'spinach'?
3. Have you gotten any new clothing for Manny bby?
4. When was the last time you and the fam went on a picnic?

Alicaaaat! That seems fair xD thank you for asking anyways!!

1) It is hard to choose just one!! I love my small surrounding of RL people but the social battery is very low and fictional characters have low expectations of me lol (unless you count the ones I created. They are probably bottom of the totem pole)
2) Popeye the sailor man TOOT TOOT
3) I have not! It's mighty chilly at the new place though so I need to go kitty sweater hunting. He's definitely cold like 50% of the time here, though all the field mice are helping him stack on some pounds!
4) hmmm. I think it was like August? When it's summer months and warm we take frequent day trips to our local lakes and will have picnics by the water!

It's amazing to hear from someone who has been part of this community for so long, especially as someone who only just found it. Which character in the HP original books of you think it the most misunderstood by the HP fandom?

No upset and no apology needed! Welcome to site!! I have enjoyed each of the different roles I've volunteered in, but my favorite is Diagon Alley Proprietor or the Shopkeeper position as it used to be called. DA has always been one of my favorite parts of site as it's a playground for aaaaall the characters and one of the first places new members get to dip their toes into RPing. I really enjoy getting to be part of that! Thank you for your question.

Hi Joel!

1) My first house was Hufflepuff! And that's exactly where I'd put myself too.
2) There are a whole lot of places I'd love love to go to, but my top 3 I think are Japan, Vietnam and Alaska. Hopefully soon!
3) Hmm, I think I'd really enjoy hanging out with FearlessLeader19's Jude Anders! He's such a sweet soul and so creative and kind I think he'd be a great person to pal around with! On the flip side, I think my last Hufflepuff Kimberly is who I would least likely get along with. She ended up with a lot of my own traits and I just don't think we'd vibe well
4) I think my all time favorite moment was when my character Anakin first met his later wife, Vashti (AlwaysSnapesGirl's). There was a big messy gumball leak at Sugarplums and they tripped and fell over it all. It was the first of many fun interactions with them and all their friends so it has a fond place for me. Anakin was also the first that really made me fall in love with RPing so his first interactions in general (and him) hold a special place for me.

Hmm, this is such a good question and it's taken me a minute. But I think Dumbledore. I feel like he's often still revered to be such a good dude and one of the heros of the HP universe, but I feel like to him Harry was always just a sacrifice and everything he did that was 'good' was underhanded.
