Wooohoo It's DECEMBER!!

HAPPY DECEMBER EVERYONE! I'm Bazinga or Ali and it is so great to be back in the meet the mod thread! It's been a minute since I have done one of these. I picked December because it is my favorite month! I love Christmas and it is my birthday month.

I have been on SS since August 2011 (HOLY MOLY THAT'S LONG!) I am one of the older members around here (I mean by age when I say that). I found SS when my oldest son was 2 he is now almost 14.

I am an elementary teacher in Ohio as well as a tennis coach for the high school I work at. I have been married 15 years and have 3 children that keep me so busy.

Throughout my years on SS I have been many things and have worn so many hats. I just recently stepped back from many of those positions and am currently just one of your mods at the SS Book Club! If you haven't checked it out please come and enjoy reading with us.

I love getting to work with players that were my students in 2nd grade. Many times I don't get to see them as almost adults and now I do and it is so great to see what great people they are turning into. I have 24 girls this year on the team and it was such a great team!

You know it is about time I switch it up and now that you say that I wonder if my thread with my classroom got deleted with the hacker. I will have to check.

I LOVE Christmas movies! A Christmas Story is my favorite and if you haven't seen A Christmas Story Christmas go see it! My next one will probably be the Grinch with Jim Carey, I can't believe I haven't watched it yet this year.

Honestly I have gotten many personalities from family and students in my class. They give me inspiration and then the character just goes with it and forms its own likes and ideas.

   Since I teach second grade it is a little hard to suggest it to them. I had a moment when I first started when two older students did join and they ended up causing quite a bit of issues. Sadly none of my kids like Harry Potter.

   Hands down Professor McGonagall. She has always been my favorite and I even dress up as here at the end of every school year for my Harry Potter day I do in my classroom.

   I enjoy just being with the students. I love seeing them learn and get things that they once were struggling with. I think it is what keeps me in teaching when it seems like so many are against teachers in the U.S. anymore.

THERE ARE SO MANY! I think my all time favorites have been with Minerva and Bart. They were so different from each other and I had so much fun with both of them. Quidditch was always one of my favorites as well.
2. What's your most loved tradition around Christmas time?
My most loved tradition is going to a place called Kraynaks on Black Friday with my kids and my parents. It is a store that does this huge Christmas display they change up every year and call it Christmas Lane. It is beautiful and something I did with my parents and grandparents and now my kids are doing it with us and their grandparents. This year was extra special because we got to add my brother and his new son to the tradition and it was wonderful.
3. Which SS character (yours or others) could you see yourself having a fun day out with?
I have a list! I think I would love to hang out with Ethan McCarthy! He has always been one of my favorites! Also I think Wade, Cinna, Pixie's James would also be fun to hangout with. There are so many more I'm missing I know there is, but those are from the top of my head.

HELLO!!

1. Professor McGonagall for sure! I love her and dress like her every year I do HP day in my classroom.
2. I played in high school and was first singles.
3. As a second grade teacher I think the best parts would be the excitement of the kids. They just enjoy everything so much at this age.
