Currently reading two: The Hobbit, by JRR Tolkien. Have read the LotR trilogy several times, but believe it or not, I never read the one that started it all. It's a surprisingly funny book. The Waste Lands, by Stephen King. I went into Gunslinger fully expecting to drop it after a chapter or two. I've never really been a fan of King. But three books in, and I'm hooked. He's really, really good at moment-to-moment storytelling. I now expect to finish the entire Dark Tower series. |
