You know, just for gags, we could have a crossword or word-search page. LOL That could go with the idea of jokes and/or comics. Like a lil Fun page. -shrugs-

Ok crazymoonyfan the person who brought up this idea, and basically I think we should go by, whoever thinks of the idea should get the position, unless they don't want it. So they are only a first year, so we obviously can't give them the position, but I came to a compromise with them. We could have one of you *points to all of you* fill in this column for now, until this term is over, and once they hit the 2 year mark they could take over... does anyone have any objections? I am being very narrow minded today so yeah... and is there anyone who is willlingly to fill in this term until next? And you'd only do it this term... (just making sure thats clear )

I'm all for giving positions to people who have great ideas, and we could even just wait to implement it next term. The only thing is... wouldn't they have to fit the other qualifications too? There are some really gifted firsties out there. Luke/Mithos will probably be a great addition next term. But... doesn't that CrazyMoony person spam and do some n00by stuff? Or am I thinking of someone else? *hides* I just don't want us to feel like we have to do stuff for people if they don't deserve it. *hides more*

merph. See proves how much I honestly know... LOL hehe they seem nice, but I am one of those "pushover" people so ignore. Plus I spammed once way back then *points to another forum* But yeah maybe i'll stalk this person for awhile and see what they do, I only know them from my arithmancy class, from which they do participate, and seem pretty normal, only thing that concerns me is, there english isn't GREAT, it's good, very good, and since they wouldn't be writing like an editorial, I see no problem. They speak er.. Spanish, German, and french. merph. Wish I could that that

Anyways that was totally irrelevant, I think if anyone gives us ideas, maybe we should watch them closly, or I will LOL and see how they do behave etc...

I think Luke does deserve a spot next term though, he is amazing. And I haven't seen trouble from him... but correct me if I am wrong...

About crazymoonyfan, I've seen him spamming some boards.. Also, he doesn't use quotation marks or proper sentence grammar, which makes his reading hard. However, it can be fixed through editing? ^-^

I think I am rooting for the other people who meet the qualifications and have expressed some interest in the Quill some time ago -- A type of seniority-thing...

Well, qualifications are nice, and editting is a must... BUT. There's only so much we can do with editting and it makes me really tired to have to edit stupid things. I would just prefer we hire good writers so I don't have to be a good writer for them.

Ohh! You guys like the Game Corner idea? SQUEE!!!! LOL Let's see, other ideas for the Game Corner besides just the World Search and crosswords, you could always do the Word Jumbles (I've had some REALLY hard ones before >.<) Just lil things like that.

I know a fair amount, and can help come up with riddles that are Hogwarts oriented.

There are quite a few very active people who have never even seen the shift key on their keyboard. Lee, for instance, has great ideas, but usually I can't even read what he types most of the time... *meep*

Now, I have a suggestion for the next issue. That one is going to be all about the Professors and their replacements, I'm sure. Much as I wish not to, I think we're going to have to be VERY careful about it. I have no idea how much ability the Ministry have to take away the Quill from the students and they could always be held on a bad list for saying something bad. (This goes more for me and my Editorials and anyone who might interview the Ministry because they could always be made to look badly and such)

Hmm... well, they might well take the quill away, so we have to be careful about what we are saying.

My next article is going to be on the replacements. Nothing to do with the situation, just who replaced who, why, for what reason. Completely factual, like I have to be, as a general writer. You however, Ashlie, I mean, you are an editorialist... so as long as you don't directly attack the ministry, I don't see what they will find in that.

I want to try a reading-between-the-lines tactic. I just dont' quite know how... I mean... I want to give my opinion without looking like I'm attacking them. >.<

I say attack them *cough* sorry I seem to hold a bias against them, for kicking my dear beloved Bree out. pfft.

Anyways it's a very good point Ashlie, it's all up to you guys though on how you wish to approach your articles for the next issue.

Aww. Amber, Ashlie would LOVE to attack them, but she's being careful for once. She knows that the Professors know that she is on their side. She just doesn't want to get expelled.

If we DID get expelled... would the Professors let us come back when they get back to their old positions?

I was just wondering if there could be a post listing all the positions currently filled, openings, and ideas of new columns and sections for the quill? It would be great to have a current running of them (if it is somewhere, sorry, I was looking but couldn't find it).
