At the heart of a recessed alcove in the Slytherin common room lies the Fountain, a masterpiece of dark stone and subtle enchantments. Carved from deep green marble, the basin is wide and low, its surface etched with curling runes in Olde English and Parseltongue. Rising from the center is a coiled serpent sculpted in such intricate detail that the scales seem to glisten in the flickering green light. Its eyes were fashioned from emeralds, and they glimmer faintly, seemingly following passersby with an unnerving awareness. From the serpent’s open mouth a steady ribbon of water, cascading down over its fangs into the pool below. Beneath the surface of the water, enchanted silver fish dart in lazy circles, vanishing and reappearing. At times, you may hear what sounds like faint whispering. Or was that a hiss?

The surrounding stonework is inlaid with subtle mosaic patterns of silver and jade, catching the glow from hovering lamps and reflecting it in rippling patterns across the ceiling. This allows students to sit on the curved stone ledge around the fountain if they wish to read, study, or simply let their thoughts wander, though many swear the serpent’s gaze feels just a bit too watchful for comfort. A small, enchantment-cooled cabinet sits beside the fountain, its dark wood exterior carved with subtle serpent motifs. Inside, shelves are neatly stocked with chilled butterbeer, pumpkin juice, and an assortment of snacks, both sweet and savory. These are perfect for late-night study sessions or quiet moments by the water.

Slytherin House Pride Meeting

The Emerald Serpen-Tide has been dressed for the occasion, its alcove subtly reimagined into the heart of a Slytherin soirée. Emerald and silver banners cascade from the surrounding stonework, their threads catching the low green glow of enchanted lanterns suspended overhead. The light has been charmed to move slowly, casting rippling reflections across the walls as though the party itself were unfolding beneath dark water. It made sense, right? Since this particular Common Room was beneath the Black Lake.

In addition to the curved stone ledge around the fountain that served as seats, low tables had been added. They were set with glassware, cutlery and plates. The enchanted cabinet, charmed to refill magically, offers chilled butterbeer, spiced pumpkin juice, and carefully curated sweets and savories. Soft instrumental music hums through the common room, barely louder than the water’s steady flow and the occasional splashes made by the fishes, encouraging close conversation rather than spectacle.

This is no loud celebration, but a distinctly Slytherin gathering - elegant, intimate, and designed with a significant purpose in mind. Professors Khanna and Springer are there, ready to greet you. Even if it seemed that they are inspecting the decor and everything else to ensure it is all in place, you will get a smile out of them both.

Completely impartial to the houses, Jasmine had decided to ride with the snakes to assist Professor Khanna with the Slytherin meeting. She even donned lovely emerald robes for the occasion. She had to admit the view of the Black Lake from the Slytherin Common Room was mesmerizing and if she allowed herself, she could see herself getting lost in the beauty for hours. Except not today, because she was here for the students.

Pouring herself a glass of butterbeer, she raised it in solidarity to Khanna, "To a successful meeting."

Well this was unexpected. Tiffany had seen the notice about the house meeting and was curious as to the topics that would be associated with the meeting. She had only been a Slytherin for four years and never once had her head of house called for a house meeting. Were they in trouble? She'd seen the hourglasses lately and honestly, she wouldn't be surprised if it was a scolding for them to do better. Dead last was definitely not a slytherin characteristic.

"Professors," she nodded at the pair, hoping to maybe catch a hint of the meeting itinerary in their eyes. Except also, she kind of didn't want to know.

Diallo has arrived! Now it was time to get this party lit.

Internally, if course. He resisted the urge to run around when he saw the spread of sweets. "Hello Professor Khanna and Professor Springer!" He piped. "These look delicious!"

Diallo could maybe make some s'mores with this spread and some juice. He paused for a moment seeing Tiffany. She was taller and prettier looking than him, "Hi." He said. Athletic girls had the twelve-year old curious. Almost as curious as he was with the meeting.

House meeting! JT shuffled in to the common room, wondering why there was a need to call the whole house together. He supposed it could have something to do with the fact that Slytherin was in last place in the house cup, but it was just speculation. JT waved in greeting to the professors first with smiles. "Hello Professor Khanna!, Hello Professor Springer!" before going over to where Diallo and Tiffany were standing. "Hi Tiffany!, Hi Diallo! Could the meeting be because we are dead last in the house point race?" JT did now notice the various beverages and sweets on selection which made him think that maybe this was a festive meeting of some sort, and not just a serious pep talk since they were last in the race for the cup.

Bayou felt an unexpected flutter of excitement as she approached the meeting. She wasn’t sure why she was looking forward to it or even what it would be about but the anticipation made her grin. Stepping into the Slytherin common room, the first thing that caught her eye were the enchanted lanterns, their light dancing like ripples over the Black Lake. She paused for a moment, genuinely impressed. This was… magical. This felt like home. Her gaze swept over the room, landing on her fellow snakes. She smiled softly to herself. These were her people. She belonged here.

Then her stomach reminded her of more immediate priorities. Snacks! Bayou made a beeline for the spread, her eyes lighting up at the chilled butterbeer and assorted sweets. Grabbing a glass of butterbeer, she allowed herself a satisfied sip before her attention drifted toward the professors already gathered.

“Hello, Professor Khanna, Professor Springer,” she greeted warmly, her voice a unique blend of her Newcastle and North Carolina accents. Her smile was bright, and genuine. “I hope you’re both doing well.” She took another sip of her butterbeer, letting the fizzy sweetness linger on her tongue.

The room shimmered in emerald and silver, lantern light rippling softly across stone. It was elegant. Controlled. Understated in that very deliberate Slytherin way.

And then there was her. Looking like she had just taken several hundred laps aroung the quidditch pitch―only today she wasn't covered in mud.

Fresh from the Music Classroom, skin still warm and faintly flushed from an aggressive session on the drums, she carried the restless energy of someone who had not eased into the evening so much as crashed through it at tempo. Her deep coral athletic tank clung slightly at the shoulders, grey yoga pants just a hair too long for her legs and hanging over her trainers. Her hair was pulled high into a bouncy brunette ponytail, a few stubborn tendrils escaping to frame her face in soft contrast to the sharp set of her jaw. If anyone noticed the faint sheen of sweat at her collarbone, they were hopefully polite enough not to comment―this was not an uncommon site when it came to the fourth year.

She slowed just enough upon entering to take it all in: the cascading banners, the low green glow, the subtle hum of instrumental music woven beneath the steady flow of the fountain. The effect was immersive, almost theatrical, and she felt like she ought to have been dressed up for one of mum's lush gala parties rather than what she was in now. Eh, oh well.

Her gaze flicked briefly toward Professors Khanna and Springer, offering them a composed nod that suggested she had absolutely meant to arrive looking like she’d just finished a conditioning circuit. The tables were set immaculately, glassware catching the light, sweets and savories arranged with precision. Calliope snagged a chilled butterbeer without hesitation, the cool glass grounding against her still-warm palm that most certainly still held an imprint of one of the drumsticks she had tucked into the back of her yoga pants.

"Oh, are we in last place?" she questioned JT as she pulled up somewhere near him. She rarely paid attention to the House Cup race because, well, she was beating a dead horse if she went into that logic.

And she didn't want to be near any horses, dead or alive.

Pale and slightly transparent, the Bloody Baron made a sudden appearance through a piece of wall next to where the entrance to the room stood. His wide eyes took in the setting. He quickly noted that a few professors and students had already gathered.

The Baron may not have said a word but the CLANK! CLANK! of his chains certainly announced his presence.

Yes yes. Hello and all that sort of thing. There was nothing much to see here but the House Ghost floating towards everyone.

Dhruv was more than happy to have Jasmine by their side; she was good company. In her emerald robes, it was clear that she embraced her task of assisting quite wholeheartedly. Her words backed that up too. “To a successful meeting,’’ they replied, enthusiasm dripping in their voice. They inclined their head in appreciation since they had no beverage as yet.

It wasn’t too long before the Snakes and Snakettes began arriving. Dhruv, quite naturally, was inwardly delighted to see them all. “Hello, Ms. Rose.” They were quite careful not to give anything away about the meeting but it definitely had nothing to do with being in last place currently in the House Cup race. “Hello, Mr. Dreamer.” Dhruv smiled. “By all means then, don’t hesitate to fill up a plate. The House Elves put out such a spread for exactly that reason.”

Dhruv then turned their attention to JT, greeting him just was warmly. “Hi, JT.” They watched the sixth year join his friends and had to hold back a chuckle at the question about the points race. Some things were more important than House Cup wins, actually. “Hello, Bayou. I am, thank you. I trust you are as well?” Had anyone ever complimented her about her accent? Because the blend suited her perfectly. Next, their gaze took in Calliope as she ardently soaked in the temporarily decorated aspect of the common room. There was no judgement on her appearance, they hoped she knew this much, as they inclined their head in her direction. As long as the fourth year was comfortable.

The familiar clanking made Dhruv look in the direction in slight surprise: they had not been expecting the Baron to make an appearance. Then again, the ghost did possess a large amount of Slytherin Pride. They nodded in a welcoming manner in his direction.

Right. It was time to get this show on the road.

“Welcome, everyone!” They spread their arms wide, a gesture that should not be unfamiliar to the students. “Feel free to get yourselves some more snacks at any point during the meeting.” Since this was a more casual setting that a classroom’s, there would be no objection on Dhruv’s part if the students needed to get extras. “Judging by the snatches of conversations I’ve overheard, there is much curiosity in the air about today’s meeting.” They toyed with the pair of sunglasses hooked on the front of their button-down shirt, a mysterious smile in place. “All will be in the open soon enough but first, what House and School Pride mean to you? Raise your hands if you’d like to volunteer an answer, please.”

Uuuuuuuuuuuugh. Really?

Her gaze shifted slowly as the Bloody Baron phased through the stone, pale and spectral and dragging centuries of theatrics behind him. The lantern light passed through his translucent form in a way that made the entire room feel several degrees colder. Of all the things Slytherin House could boast as its eternal representative, it was… that. She watched the ghost the same way one might something unfortunate stuck to the bottom of a shoe. Calliope's lips pressed into a thin line, the only outward sign of her thoughts as she lifted her butterbeer and took a long sip.

When Professor Khanna's voice rose warmly above the room, Calliope’s attention snapped back into place with visible ease. Good, a distraction from thinking about weak minded individuals who destroyed everything because they were told no.

The question was straightforward enough and at first her answer was as well ― winning, duh ― but since JT had mentioned they were dead last in the point race and she still felt pride in her House, that wasn't a totally accurate statement. Pride. Hmm. The word sat strangely in her mind. Pride was easy when you were winning. The fourth year took a couple more moments considering before tucking her brunette whisps aside and speaking.

"Results," Calliope said evenly, not loud but not shy about it either. Her tone was clean. Precise. "House pride means we don't just say we're ambitious or resourceful. It means it shows. In performance. In rankings. In how the rest of the school reacts when we walk into a room." Her fingers tapped lightly against the glass in her hand, a phantom echo of drum rhythm. "And ideally not being in last place while doing it."

Then she lifted her butterbeer again as if she hadn’t just sharpened the air in the room by several degrees. Or perhaps she was overestimating the impact. She did that ~~often~~ sometimes.

SPOILER!!: Calliope & Professor Khanna

]JT had while waiting for things to start helped himself to some iced pumpkin juice, a handful of jelly slugs, and pampkin pasties while more students trickled in to the snake den. "Hello Bayou!" JT greeted the younger student with a smile in her direction before munching on some jelly slugs. Candy always raised his spirits. He didn't have time to take in the soft instrumental music before Calliope pulled up by his side. Lovely, could she hopefully not put him in a bad mood which often happened? Plastering on a sweet welcomg smile he turned his attention to his fellow quidditch team player. "Hey, Calliope! Yes, we're in last place in the house cup race. It's about 200 points up to Hufflepuff in first place." How could she not know that? It mattered. JT took a sip of his pumpkin juice as the distinctive clanking noise alerted him of the arrival of their house ghost. The Bloody Baron always gave him the chills.

Luckily Professor Khanna saved JT from greeting the Baron with more than nod and a wave by starting the meeting off. What did house pride mean to him? Thoughtfully JT considered his answer, chewing on a pumpkin pasty as Calliope spoke first as she often did, to his annoyance. She did though say good things this time JT grudgingly had to admit. Raising his hand he added to the discussion. "It also means that we wear our snake robes and house crests proudly, and with loyalty. We do our best in classes and on the quidditch pitch to show that we love our house, and want it to succeed. We also stand by each other no matter what. If one snake gets attacked, they attack us all." JT quited down and took another sip of juice and started to chew on another pasty.

The Baron was not necessarily one for words. This was one such time. The ghost merely nodded to the current Slytherin Head of House - oh he had lost count of the numerous Heads that had come and gone over the centuries.

Sir Bloodiness was not completely unaware that a fair amount of students were displeased to see him. It would be unlike him to care what they or anyone else thought. He met Calliope’s gaze. He held it until she consumed some of her drink. JT’s acknowledgement was met with a subtle nod.

Clank! Clank!

The Baron hovered at the front of the common room. It was a gesture that portrayed remarkable interest in what the Slytherins had to say.

Bayou smiled warmly at the professor as he returned her question, giving a small nod. "I'm doing very good, Professor!" she replied brightly, her unique blend of Newcastle and North Carolina accent carrying her excitement for the house meeting. She lifted her butterbeer and took another small sip, considering his words carefully.

As she lifted her butterbeer for another sip, she heard her name and glanced over. Spotting the older student, JT, she gave him an easy wave. "Hey! How are you?" her voice was steady, friendly, and confident before she turned her attention back to the discussion at hand.

What did house pride mean to her? As a Slytherin, it should mean everything and to her, it truly did.

She paused, thoughtful. This could easily be a trick question. Slytherin had a reputation now; whether people saw that reputation as good or bad depended entirely on their own personal or familial views. After all, it didn’t matter what house you were in anyone could choose to be good or bad. Being Slytherin wasn’t about being the villain.

Bayou raised her hand high, confidence flashing in her eyes. She had her answer.

"For me, Slytherin pride means owning my ambition, moving with strategy, and never apologizing for wanting to succeed."

Her voice was steady but excited, her accent more pronounced as her confidence grew.

"I would also like to add that we're very selectively loyal or at least I am. I think that’s something to be proud of, because we value the people we can truly trust." Maybe that last part wasn’t the most polished answer, but it was honest. And to Bayou, that mattered most.

Nathaniel had sauntered in quietly, taking in the newly-decorated sight of the common room, giving the professors a polite nod in greeting, then moving to the food table. His housemates were chatting among themselves, but he felt no need to join in a conversation, at least not yet. His first priority was food and drinks.

The butterbeer was an easy choice, but he considered his sweet and savory options before selecting a few licorice wands. There were others he considered grabbing but decided he'd come back for more later.

Once he found a seat and set his mug and snacks on a table, he leaned back in the chair, relaxed as he surveyed the room. What the reason for this meeting was, he did want to know, but he also figured they'd find out soon enough. The Bloody Baron showing up suddenly was interesting, though. Nathaniel gave him a nod in greeting.

And then the meeting was beginning, though only with a question about house pride rather than the reason for the meeting. Hmm.

Nathaniel took a sip of his butterbeer as he listened to his peers' answers. Results, pride, success, loyalty, ambition, strategy... Yeah, those were good. He didn't really disagree with them. But how would he answer?

He raised his hand. "It's about confidence," he said. "Not arrogance, but the kind of confidence that says you know who you are and what you want, and you're determined to work toward achieving it no matter what external factors come up or what other people say."

The Baron hovered nearby but this did not bother Dhruv. As long as there were no unnecessary interruptions; the rattling of the chains were enough. Now the focused on watching the thoughtful expressions that came over the Slytherins’ faces. Slowly, hands started to raise. Since there were no right or wrong answers here, they were keen on hearing all that was to come.

First up was Calliope with hers, which was clear and to the point. “An excellent way of putting that, Ms. Barrington. In other words, ensuring that our traits are manifested in a positive way; those results speak to our ambition, for example.” Dhruv nodded to the fourth year then called on JT. They smiled at that response. “Yes, displaying our loyalty through green and silver memorabilia and outfits, as well as those embossed with the Slytherin crest is another way. Putting our best foot forward also, which ties back nicely what Ms. Barrington mentioned earlier.” The DADA professor nodded, smile in place still. “That’s right. We all need to look out for each other, as Slytherins, as Hogwarts students.”

Their attention now turned to Bayou, listening attentively to her. “Be proud of your Slytherin traits. Wonderful insight, Ms. Earnhardt. I quite agree. As long as you’re not intentionally harming anyone with those traits, there’s no need to be ashamed of them. Trust is something delicate that is not usually given lightly and easily, therefore it is understandable if one is also proud of this when it is indeed given.” Nathaniel's quiet entry and settling into the festivities had not been completely unnoticed. And his contribution to the discussion? It was the perfect way to piggyback off of earlier contributions. “Our traits must indeed be portrayed as confidence and only confidence alone if we do not wish to come across as arrogant. There is a thin line between the two so it is of utmost importance to take steps into not crossing it.”

The Head of House took another look around the common room. There were no more raised hands so they moved things along. “Now I draw your attention to the Start of Term Feast, Headmaster Winterbottom made of House unity and Hogwarts pride. His, and the rest of the Hogwarts faculty vision involves a celebration of this pride rather than the our End of Term Feast. An event where we can all mingle with each other further. An event of togetherness. For that reason…” With a sweeping hand movement, a board appeared floating in the air above the gathering’s heads. It seemed to emit a faint green glow around its four edges. It certainly was large enough so that everyone would be able to see all that would be added there.

“Taking into consideration each contribution made a few moments ago, how can we translate those into something meaningfully which our House can contribute to the upcoming event, ideas which showcase our traits. This board will assist us in brainstorming ideas. Would a mini tournament of Wizarding Chess put on a demonstration of shrewdness? Would a few rounds of ‘What’s behind the door’ display our resourcefulness?” They paused, letting the words sink in. “All ideas are welcome.” This was an open invitation for the ideas to begin verbally flowing.

Nathaniel got a nod back along with a CLANK! There was no concern on his part if his chains disturbed the gathering. Which happened to be constantly growing at that time.

The young Slytherins without a doubt had a strong understanding of what it meant to be a Slytherin. The Baron shared the gripe about the House being in last place in the points race. There was time to turn this unfortunate situation around, rather. He sincerely hoped that the young ones would be up to the challenge.

This event that was being held at the end of the term would be one the Baron would certainly be attending. Not to necessarily roam it but to stand proudly and smugly looking over whatever the students and Khanna planned.

Now to await the suggestions for such.

His eyes scanned the door that appeared, curious but not overly so. Nathaniel wasn't very artsy, but maybe he'd check it out later. Or maybe he'd just look over what other people added over time.

That was something he'd decide later, since it seemed they were finally getting to the real purpose of the meeting.

An event at the end of term? That sounded interesting. Not that he minded the traditional feast, but the idea of doing something new and different was appealing.

He took a thoughtful sip of his butterbeer as he considered ideas, trying not to let the Baron's noisy chains distract him. Chess wasn't a bad idea, or some kinda guessing game with doors? Hmm...what other possibilities were there?

Then something popped into his head. Whether it was a good idea or not, he raised his hand. "What about a labyrinth that looks like the Chamber of Secrets? Maybe with some small challenges or something that they have to complete along the way. You'll have to be resourceful and cunning to find the way out." He wasn't sure how big or small the activities were meant to be, so maybe that would be too much. But, he figured he'd throw the idea out there regardless.

200 points behind Hufflepuff? Well, Calliope supposed that was a little embarrassing but as long as Slytherin mopped the floor with Hufflepuff on the quidditch pitch, she wasn't too fussed with losing the House Cup race. Though JT clearly seemed miffed by it so she could play along, if for no other reason than being on the same page with things was good for team morale. "Guess everyone needs to step up their game in that case," she nodded. Or sabotage Hufflepuff somehow.

Just a thought.

She fell quiet once the meeting started proper, even nodded once or twice in the appropriate places, expression schooled into something politely attentive while Professor Khanna spoke about positivity and confidence and not crossing lines into arrogance. In her mind, positive had always been fairly straightforward. You win. You outperform. You dominate cleanly enough that no one can argue with it. That was positive. Not this softened, careful reframing of traits like they needed cushioning... like someone had wrapped Slytherin in bubble charm.

She didn’t roll her eyes though, she had manners. Or, well, better manners than previously, and instead took another slow sip while brainstorming began. The labyrinth idea was a little theatrical, perhaps, but it had teeth ― though she had to wonder if they would have the space to pull off such a feat in the Great Hall. She supposed anything was possible with a little swish and flick of the wand though. If they could use a lot of space, she wanted to do something in the air. Something that required people mounting brooms and zipping through the floating candles of the Great Hall―was going to host booths and tables and tidy little displays… then Slytherin house should be somewhere above them all.

Buuuuuuut something told her that would have a bit of backlash, safety concerns and whatever... and Calliope drew her teeth briefly over her lower lip before raising her hand anyway. "If space allows, we could host an aerial strategy labyrinth. Not necessarily on brooms...maybe you have to levitate someone through it. Moving obstacles and visual distortions and whatever, you need to adjust in real time. And," she continued, almost too casually, "positioning ourselves above the event floor is a fairly straightforward metaphor."

The gathering was far quieter now that Dhruv had put out the request from the Slytherins. The sounds that jumped out at them were the clanking of the Baron’s chains, the smacking of lips of a loud chewer, the light thuds of mugs and cups against surfaces as they were rested down. Dhruv could also see the concentration on their students’ faces and was quite prepared to hear all about what had been brainstormed.

One of the first hands in the air was Nathaniel’s. The Head of House called upon him immediately. “Quite a wonderful idea,’’ they commended, unable to keep the slight enthusiasm out of their voice. “Something similar to a maze, I gather?” Waving a hand in another sweeping motion, Nathaniel’s suggestion appeared in the air in bright green words, beside the board; not bright so as to affect one’s vision but clearly visible all the same.

Sabotaging Hufflepuff? If the professor caught wind of such a thing, they would see that it comes to a halt. But, as long as the Snakes played fairly against the Badgers - or any other House - then the Quidditch and Gobstones teams had their blessing to go out and do the best that could be done. Calliope’s suggestion of an aerial event was not at all surprising, given her smooth aptitude for Quidditch. Dhruv held back the small smirk that threatened to make its presence known. “A creative suggestion, Ms. Barrington.” They nodded in approval for the most part. “I do think in the spirit of School pride, it would be best that the Slytherins be on the same level as the rest of the other Houses. However, such a labyrinth wouldn’t have to be exceptionally lengthy to complete, and can be planned to fit the confines of the Great Hall; Cushioning Charms for one would prove useful in case of falls.” They paused thoughtfully. “The most challenging aspect might be finding someone who would trust the person doing the levitating, to get them safely through the course.” The suggestion now joined the others.

Once all the suggestions had been taken, Professor Khanna addressed the gathering once more. “Those are some wonderful ideas presented, everyone.” Pride was intermingled with their words. “Take a look at our extensive list as we need to cast a vote on which we would like to present at the end of the term. You may raise your hand before speaking on the idea you like best. Once you do, a silver tally will appear next to your choice.” Their eyes seemed to twinkle now. “There is magic in place to ensure that no attempts are made to vote more than once.”

A labyrinth that looks like the Chamber of Secrets, riddled with small challenges to get past/complete along the way. {Skills tested: cunningness, strategic planning, resourcefulness}

An aerial strategy labyrinth - not necessarily on broomsticks but perhaps levitating someone through it. Moving obstacles, visual distortions and other challenges to adjust to in real time. {Skills tested: calculated risk taking & risk assessment}

Prizes are hidden in vaults. Participants have to solve a few puzzles to open the vault they’re assigned to, but are given five minutes to do so. If a participant is successful, they get to keep the prizes. {Skills tested: ambition, resourcefulness, risk assessment}

A version of ‘What’s Behind The Door’ where vague clues are given on what’s behind three doors. Participants have to decide which door they wish to choose. {Skill tested: Calculated risk - taking}

Ideas poured in. Some were exceptional. Some were sub-par. They were ideas none the less.

The Baron left his original position. He now floated none too quietly over the students’ head. It would be rather interesting to see what option received the most votes.

CLANK!CLAANK!

“If I may.” The Baron hovered directly over the head of a random student. “Why not add some ambience to the festivities by dressing as famous Slytherins?” It was quite a delightful suggestion in his opinion. Not to mention clothing from the days of him in the flesh and blood were far superior to current trends.

Diallo did feel welcomed per usual as he filled his plate with the offered food. He was glad to see it wasn't about them being in last place this term. But excuse his silence as he was transfixed on the Baron. His daydreaming had him miss out on giving a suggested activity, but it was fine. The choices didn't suck in his opinion.

Raising his hand, "That floating labyrinth idea sounds pretty cool. That has my vote, maybe, we could tweak it so that we don't have to worry about levitating others, but instead we could swim through the air ourselves!" How fun that would be! He gently rocked in his seat thinking about it. "And when we land back down, it could be a soft cushion of rubber snakes!" Though, perhaps that might scare some people, so could ignore that part.

The chill in the air was felt as the Baron decided to float right over him. Goosebumps from the cool reached under his arms. "..Do we have any costumes to help with dressing like famous Slytherins?" He didn't own a long blonde wig for example.

Voting time? Interesting. Nathaniel was curious to see how everyone would vote, but first, he needed to do so himself. And he really didn't need to think long about it.

"Voting for the Chamber of Secrets labyrinth," he said, raising his hand. Yeah, he was voting for his own idea. No one said he couldn't. Plus, he did like his idea - otherwise he wouldn't have suggested it. As they had established, confidence was part of being Slytherin, yeah?

But he didn't dislike any of the other ideas, so he wouldn't be that upset if any of them won. They seemed cool enough.

Then the Baron had a suggestion. Dressing like past Slytherins...it had potential. "Bet the drama club would have a lot of costumes available," he suggested in answer to Diallo's question.

There was no surprise that the Bloody Baron had ideas of his own. Dhruv acknowledged it, thinking it made sense that the ghost wanted to see a ‘return’ of the olden days. There was absolutely nothing wrong with such. “Thank you, Baron. That’s an intriguing idea.” The said idea appeared with the others, ready to be voted upon if so desired.

Diallo was among the first to cast his vote, the tally appearing next to his choice. In addition, the suggested modifications to the Floating Labyrinth were noted; this appeared in parentheses beside the original idea. “Thank you, Mr. Melo-Dreamer. Your suggestion is noted.” And welcomed too. Dhruv then nodded in Nathaniel’s direction. “That’s precisely what I was thinking, Mr. Hensley. I’m sure there are a few from previous plays. Perhaps the capable members of the club would even be willing to put together extras if we need them.” Not distracted with talk of the costumes, Dhruv ensured that Nataniel’s vote was also registered after which they moved on to recording the other votes.

“Right. Now that all the votes have been cast, it seems our Labyrinth idea retains the lead. This will be relayed to the rest of the faculty, and in due course, more information will be given to you.” The Head of House cast a look around the Room. “Thank you for your participation, everyone! That’s enough of me taking your attention. You’re now free to mingle among yourselves and continue enjoying the food."
