 It goes without saying that everyone's favourite person in the train is the trolley lady. Old, plump, and just as sweet as the food she sells, she can provide you with the sugary delights you desire -- from Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans to Chocolate Frogs to Pumpkin Pasties, it is all there in her trolley! The woman comes around during the middle of the journey and is generally the cause for any traffic jams taking place in the corridor.
When you hear "Anything from the trolley?" be hollered, even from a distance, it would be wise of you to jump up, make sure you have your money in your pocket, and get in the corridor before a long line begins to form. If you are the unfortunate soul that has to deal with an endless line, keep calm and stay put because the wait is certainly worth it. Please make sure you are waiting your turn with patience because the trolley lady is likely to refuse making a transaction with you if she sees you trying to cut in line or pushing people out of the way.
OOC: No one plays the trolley lady, so please role-play receiving snacks and paying on your own.

Sage wasn't sure what exactly she was in the mood for, but she did know she was in the mood for something seeing as she had been too distracted by taking some of the silly little quizzes in Witch Weekly and WHiM. She now knew who her celebrity soulmate was (and hard disagreed with the result), whether or not she was under too much pressure (she was), what her 'guy-Q' was (it was not great), and (allegedly) what her favorite flavor at Florean's said about her. Unfortunately, all this vital research meant she had only taken a couple of spoonfuls of her cereal - hence her feeling as though she were tiptoeing around being famished - and needed to make up the deficient with...something. What would give her the most for her coin? As much as she had a hankering for chewing gum, that was going to do nothing for her other than distract her mouth.
With a couple older copies of magazines rolled up and sticking out of her back pocket, Sage considered her options on the trolley. The pumpkin pasties were looking pretty yum...

He supposed getting there first was the best option. Solomon noticed an immediate familiar face in Sage, someone whom he felt it absolutely vital he spoke to right now.

There was a brief moment of girlish exhilaration that faded almost immediately because honestly, Sage, stop humiliating yourself as she spun around to spot the culprit and found herself pleasantly surprised by Solomon's appearance. "You're a poor pickpocket, you know," she declared as she pivoted around to inspect which page he was on. "Aw, look at you looking for loooooove," she hummed very sarcastically. She truly would gag if she saw him at a doily covered table with some person of interest, just fair warning. "Who will make your heart sing this summer? Fine the person you're totally in tune with." Oh it was too juicy to let him off the hook with. Making friends squirm was one of her favorite pastimes. "Let's see then..." she continued as she snatched her magazine back. "You and your crush would make a playlist of a, mostly pop tunes or b, rock anthems?"
She became slightly irritated by the random tapping on her shoulder just then, only to soften very quickly when it turned out to be the trolley lady offering her the pasties she had paid for in a little to-go bag. Thanking the woman and taking the bag, Sage stepped aside from the trolley so the next person could grab their desired snack and tugged on Solomon's arm so he came with her. "So? Which is it? Pop or rock?"

Solomon did wonder if he could charm Sage in sharing one of the two pumpkin pasties she had just purchased, if not, he would probably buy the same thing as it was such a staple choice for the train ride home. Anything too sugary would send Solomon bouncing off the walls, although most of the time he didn’t care for the effects. He was only 14, give him a break!!
Her reaction was… somewhat not surprising, very amusing, though Solly had a feeling she was trying to embarrass him. She was VERY close to succeeding, but he knew better than to fall for that. “As if I’d tell you.” He faked a shy expression, “but I’ll give you a hint. They’re in Slytherin, like me. Hehehe.” You heard right - Solomon just giggled.
“Hmmm, I’d have to say pop tunes.” Cheesy pop songs would surely be a better choice when creating a mix tape for a crush. “What would you pick?” Just curious, of course. He pulled back his arm that Sage was tugging away. Ummmm, was he undeserving of snacks? Solly ordered two chocolate frogs, clearly steering towards the devil on his shoulder when it came to sugary snacks.

Naturally, Solomon came to play with the wit and the sass. She appreciated it but his reply was eyeroll inducing. "Oooh, house fraternization. Just make sure the common room doesn't get too awkward when they realize they can do better. I hate unnecessary tension and romantically scorned is such a cliche trope." She was playfully cruel because she knew he could take it. Or rather, she assumed he could take it. Her finger followed the pop music path to the next question. "Honestly...neither of these options. I'd prefer jazz but I GUESS that isn't trendy enough for this magazine." Pop culture was so fickle, it was almost funny to observe. "But, in the spirit of being a contrarian, I'll say rock." She arched her brow at the chocolate frog being offered to her and then returned her gaze to the page. "Question two, finally its the weekend. You can't wait to...a, hit up Diagon Alley to shop 'til you drop or b, bring out exploding snap or wizard's chess and exercise your brain." She glanced back at him, and the chocolate frog, and accepted it regardless of the bad luck she had just inherited.

HAHA. “What do you mean they can do better?!!” That was very rude and undeserving. Solly quite thought he was a bit of a catch, although he wasn’t really trying to be. His two not girlfriends thought a lot of him, anyway!
Solomon rolled his eyes because of course Sage would choose an option not on the list. She did seem like the type to not like something purely because everyone else liked it… Solly was not one of those people. “Jazz?! Jazz is rubbish.” He was being brutally honest, and fully expected backlash from his statement.
After she had accepted his extremely kind gesture of the chocolate frog, and he had started to unpack his, Solomon resumed heading away from the trolley with Sage, maybe towards a compartment? Would she share with him? Would she share her pumpkin pasties with him?? “Those look good.” He averted his eyes to them. “They would really balance out the chocolatey-ness of the chocolate frogs, don’t you think?” He chomped a leg from his wriggling feast.
He snorted quickly at Sage saying ‘hit up’, but listened intently to the next question. Easy, no brainer. “Exploding snap, of course.” To busy the brain, maybe, but also to hustle some unassuming first years.
