Several photo booths have been set up not far from the entry point of the dance. A selection of typical photo booth props can be found here too, accessories for attendees to pose with along with their friends - or by themselves, if they would like - for memento photographs.
On the outside, each photo booth is adorned with decorations according to one of the showcased elements, and the wide selection of photo booth props adhere distinctly to the elemental theme as well. Also in evidence, miscellaneous hats and feather boas in reds and oranges, greens and teals, bronze and gold, blue and white, black and silver, and more. A veritable rainbow of adornment.
So grab some accessories, hop inside a booth, and pose to your heart's content. Photographs - magical or mundane, according to preference - will be dispensed on the outside of the booths at the end of each photo session.

Speaking of best friends.
”Miss James. Miss Rivers. How many hearts have we broken tonight, you think?”

The past few months had been rough ones, but Kins was feeling a lot more like her usual self tonight. Being with her best friends, wearing the most stunning dress, hair and makeup done by the best of the best, it was all helping. Still, she didn't have as much energy as her other blonde counterpart, but that was usually the case, hm? "Love a tiara moment," she chimed in softly, as Christianna reached for them, offering both friends a small smile.
"The boys look like lost puppies without C, so that's at least two." The boys being, well, there wasn't really a need for clarification, was there? Throwing Nerina into the mix only added the possibility of several more broken hearts. So. They were doing pretty well for themselves, probably. Except. Except the business of breaking hearts was one Kinsay didn't want to be part of anymore. It was awful. Usually left hers broken too and. And and and. And she wasn't going to think about that right now.
Photos. That's what she was thinking about.
Briefly glancing over at the nearest photo booth, Kins tilted her head thoughtfully, fingers twisting her rings. "Can we take a bunch of pictures? I want to put them up on my wall." Next to all the other collages she had made for inspiration. Their dresses deserved to be on the inspo boards too. They were dressed just as well as any of the models Kins had cutout from the magazines. It was only right.

Atlas was her best friend, she had been friend-zoned a long time ago, but she still wanted to be his friend, nonetheless. Besides, she was DELIGHTED to see Atlas showing the same enthusiasm towards the props and photo booth as she was. “You could never be too busy for me, could you?” She flashed him a cheeky smile.
“I think so. They have everything.” She mimicked his quiet chuckle after lovingly watching him find the signs. “Oh, yes, I saw some a minute ago.” Digging her hand in not too far, she pulled out a humongous pair of sunglasses and placed them on her face. “Made for a giant, maybe!” With her outfit ruined by silly props, Remy was ready for some photo booth fun, and started inspecting it for relevant buttons and potential backdrop options.
ANYWAY… “So… notice any weird couples here tonight?” Because SHE had. Ahem… Jasper and ahem… Serena. When did THAT happen?????
Guess who was oblivious to all these thoughts and feelings that one Remy Ilizith Gaeltheos was all too often plagued by? Yeah, to no one's shock (probably) that would be one Atlas Leonel Flamsteed who whether as a warped perception of self defense or pure ignorance had found himself in this position. More likely than not, however, was a complete misunderstanding and misinterpretation of things. He was not totally oblivious, however, and Aries had seen to that...so perhaps it was much more his warped perception of self defense that drove him to choose not to see. And...was...a friend zone really such a bad thing? He would argue it was not.
He felt his friend zone was...very narrow and even more sparse. Occupied by less people than he could count on one hand.
But, for the record, she did look really nice tonight. He could tell she had put a lot of thought and effort into it...but she also looked effortless as well. She was...just Remy. No matter what.
"Think I've proved that hypothesis," he grinned back. It WAS his OWL term and between studying for those and throwing himself into decoration creation...he had certainly kept himself occupied. They managed to squeeze time in here and there. Remy never forgot about him or made him feel alone in crowded spaces, that had been important.
Chuckling once she put the sunglasses on, Atlas dug around until he found a pair for himself and slipped them on as well. "I dunno...they might suit us," he teased, knowing FULL well how utterly ridiculous they looked right now and, frankly, not caring. It did feel like a bit of overkill, honestly, with the cat ears and feather boa and sign...but wasn't that sort of the purpose of these sorts of set ups anyway? Why have all these options if they were not meant to be used? "We can always take one picture or a set without any of the props too, if you want," he suggested as an afterthought.
Atlas was still hanging outside of the booth as Remy got things set up inside, his ears twitched while overhearing some of the surrounding conversations. Younger years getting to know one another, Red Panties Valentina speaking with Lisa's older brother, Rhett...also finding the sunglasses and popping them on (great minds?), and...one other that had his chest twisting and breathing come uneven. Unable to even begin to comprehend why THAT would be something to aspire to and...pleased about, Atlas averted his eyes and practically leapt into the phot booth after Remy just as she asked him THAT question. Remy, who was standing MUCH closer to the entrance than he had anticipated, so it was more like an improvised glomping that had occurred. NOTHING TO SEE HERE AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. "H-hey..." he stammered, thankful that he had gained enough balance now to not have fallen over in the collision. His arm around her and other on the display helped things too, obviously. "...uh...fancy meeting you in here."
Couples though. Did they...really have to talk about couples?

"I am. I'm the youngest of four. Reagan and I also have two brothers, Jude and Koen." Mabye she knew Jude? Everyone seemed to know him or at the very least, know of him. If being spoiled had been brought up, Keigh would have admitted that she was indeed very much so. However so were her other siblings. Well maybe not Koen so much anymore since he was gone and married now but the point was still there. Though there was the possibility that Rea mentioned Koen as well or maybe his band?
Nod. Nod. "Sure, that sounds nice." Sitting and eating by the lake sounded peaceful and they could talk more too. Hmm? Ohh! Well.. this was true. They were right here. The blonde may have wanted photos with all of her family but there weren't here at the moment and Olivia was. "No, I haven't taken any yet. Do you want to take a few with me? It could be fun?" And having a good time was why they were here tonight, was it not?
Olivia nodded. “I know Jude. He’s always happy-go-lucky.’’ Except for some time recently when there had been a drastic change in his personality. She had been curious and Reagan had only mentioned he was dealing with heartbreak; the Gryffindor hadn’t elaborated and the Ravenclaw hadn’t pushed. She did remember feeling sorry for him though but was glad to see he had bounced back. “Just like you are,’’ she added as an afterthought. “I think Koen’s the one in the band? The one that got married last year?” Famous people’s weddings such as Koen were bound to be newsworthy and she possibly had seen it in the media.
The fourth year found herself blinking, a little taken aback. Keighley actually wanted to take pictures with her despite them not knowing each other? She truly was a Hufflepuff. Olivia smiled slowly, a happy and delighted one. “It sounds as though we have a plan then, though if you have to meet your friends at any point, don’t worry about letting me know.” Her blue-eyed gaze turned to the photo booth nearest then to Keighley again. “I’d love to.” She gestured to the booth. “After you.” A gentlewoman she was. “I call a fake mustache photo first!”

She nodded. That was Jude alright. Mister happy-go-lucky. "He's the greatest." So were Reagan and Koen though. There was no doubt in her mind that she had the best siblings anyone could ever ask for. "Me? Well umm.. thank you? I try to always be as positive as I can be about things." Happiness was key. Another nod of her head of blonde hair. "Yup! The Kings and Serpents. He got married over Christmas break in the nicest wedding ever." Well.. she hadn't been to very many weddings but in her eyes it was one of the best.
Huh, had she said something wrong? Keighley wasn't sure why Olivia looked soft confused for a moment until she finally saw her smile. Okay, much better! Smiles were much nicer than looks of puzzlement or whatever. "It appears that we do. I don't think there's any reason to focus on that happening, if they wanted me they would've found me already." That's how she saw it, anyhow. With a warm smile on her face, Keigh made her way to the closest photo booth. "Oooh, mustaches! What about top hats?" The third year laughed, already trying to picture in her head how they would look.

Christi’s energy was rivaled only by sugared-up first years and while some might find that a bit much, Nerina soaked it up. Being around her felt like powering up somehow and the brunette couldn’t help but grin, selecting her own tiara from the bunch and placing it atop her head as she listened to the blonde slew compliments at both herself and Miss Kinsay James. ”I’m going to shrink you down and carry you around in my purse all summer, Rivers. Your compliments are the perfect mood boosters.” And if she was being honest, she was feeling the sizzle she was bringing tonight. It felt good. She felt good. Confident. And not the fake confidence she sometimes exuded just because she could.
Glancing around the dance, the sixth year laughed lightly. ”Merlin, they really are like lost puppies. Any closer to deciding what you want to do about that whole situation, Christi? It’s amusing to watch, but it must do your head in sometimes.” Being fought over sounded romantic at first, but after watching things unfold, Nerina felt tired for her friend.
”Enough pictures so all of us can take some for our rooms, yeah?” She nudged Kins gently, offering her a smile. ”I want those beautiful faces up on my wall so everyone who visits will be jealous that I’m surrounded by hotties.” The poor girl was going to start carrying a fan as an accessory just to help deal with all the heat.
”Alright, any other props we need before we head in?”

"...uh...fancy meeting you in here."
Couples though. Did they...really have to talk about couples?
For the record… of course the friend zone wasn’t a bad thing for the person putting said person into said friend zone. For the other party… not so much fun. Honestly, even if Remy thought that Atlas was the slightest bit interested in her, she was quite sure he wouldn’t know how to express it, or choose to suppress it. Sometimes she felt like being wild and coming out with everything she felt, but the fear that it would ultimately push him away was too much and too obvious.
The friend zone was here to stay. Her own friend zone was also a quiet place as well, as a matter of fact, making it difficult for Remy to discuss all the feelings that came along with being a teenage girl. She had a close friend in Lisa, but everyone liked Lisa so did the girl even have any real problems that were relatable? Pfft, no. She was pretty and popular. Remy was a little clueless, in that sense, not understanding that the picture perfect life wasn’t all what it’s cracked up to be.
Her problems were the only relevant problems in the world, ever, basically.
“I think they make my nose look big. Do they?” Remy gave Atlas an open window to compliment her, as a kind of test. Her expression was playful, though, after pulling the sunglasses to the tip of her nose to reveal her eyes, then pushing them back up after her question. “I’d love that.” She answered softly when he suggested a set of pictures without the props as well.
After selecting appropriate backdrops, figuring out all the buttons and technicalities, Remy spent time making sure she looked picture perfect before Atlas joined her. She actually was OWNING the sunglasses matched with her feather scarf. Of course, not going for headgear that could potentially mess up her hair, and mess up their set of prop-less photos that Remy would CHERISH. She was about to announce that she was ready for Atlas to join her, and that he did. Suddenly his arm was around her, and she had pretty much let all of her weight go so that he was essentially holding her upright.
“Woah!” She couldn’t help but hold herself in place for a moment and tilted her head up to look at him with doe eyes. NOPE - the eye contact freaked her out so Remy quickly regained use if her own body and stood upright, being careful not to shake off his arm around her just yet. “You’re SO eager for pictures with me, sheesh.” AHEM. “So, uhhh, are you ready, then?” She adjusted her now crooked sunglasses.

"They're not really different, I just wanted to see if one booth was the luckiest." Or... she'd steal Rhett's brilliant idea, and do them all! That sounded like a great idea. She grabbed a pair of giant glasses and put them on the back of her hat. "I'm going to take a picture with me facing backwards, so the picture will get all of my costume. And then I'm going to turn my head slightly so I can side eye the camera. Thanks for the idea to take photos in all of them!"
Look. Ash was accustomed to very formal photoshoots where you needed to look serious and miserable and fashionable. She liked having the opportunity to do it a different way. A fun way. Complete with hats. She wished she could take photos with someone though. Everyone seemed to be taking pictures with their friends.
"Lucky how?" Rhett liked to be lucky, especially since Mitsuki was always saying he was cursed. And his natural talents only went so far. But he wasn't sure any of these photo booths could change that.
He watched this girl as she pulled out more props and he laughed as she explained her idea. "That'll be funny. I think I'm going to do something different in each one too. Maybe a different costume and props in each one. Or maybe different expressions." Like silly and serious and mad. He reached for a mustache on a stick he found mixed in with the signs. "Aren't you going to tell me your name?" Since he told her his and all.

Dances weren't his thing. Food was. If anyone was beginning to see a pattern they would have to learn by now that was why the young man of twelve attended these things. For the food. So naturally his clothing of choice hadn't been his idea either. Someone, he wasn't going to name names, VERA. Had to have told their papa about this dance as a suit was sent to him without him requesting one. Not only was he told to wear said suit but he was told to get photos as proof while at this dance. So very terrible.
Their papa was in luck. Photo booths were present and Vasco wanting to quickly check two things off of his list headed straight for it. Well only after spotting the twin in the crowd with her pirate/fairy friend and quietly suggesting that she meet him over here... NOW. Maybe she wouldn't keep him waiting since the photos were meant to go home to papa and Vesper.
Vera was deciding pretty formal dresses were FUN. The one Papa had sent, which she HAD requested, was so pretty and flouncy and she liked the way the skirt SWISHED when she moved. It also had a great twirl to it, which meant she was spending the entirety of the evening making herself far too dizzy as she spun around and around and around and around.
She could spin herself all the way from the entrance to the party to where Vasco was apparently waiting for her right? There was no WAY that could go wrong!
So that's what she did. Around and around and around some more! She could see the booths getting closer and closer and she was pretttyyyyy sure she could spot her brother out of her peripheral as well but she was on a MISSION and could not stop the spinning yet! A few more turns and her equilibrium was very, very off. Thankfully Vasco was close but maybe not close enough as she lost her balance. "TIMBEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!" It was polite to let people know to get out of the way right?? Minuscule first year was going DOWN.
Valentina had finally decided to take a little break for a couple of dances. With a glass of water in hand, she randomly headed over to the photo booths. Hm. It would be a great idea to take pictures with all her friends - they would be a reminder of a beautiful night with beautiful people.
After a few minutes, thinking it was time to head back, she happened to notice a familiar face nearby. Had she seen him on the dance floor? Val couldn’t remember. “Evan!” She walked over to him with a little smile. “Handsome as ever, I see.”
One sister was spotted, and Evan watched her and Daniel for a moment, a hint of amusement on his face as his sister practiced her poses before giving a small shake of his head. The good news was, for the most part at least she seemed to be enjoying herself this evening. That was a relief to see and he realized he could breath a little easier at it. He imagined the rest of the stuff she'd been struggling with was not gone, but perhaps for an evening it would be forgotten.
He watched them a few minutes more, before hearing his name and turning to see Valentina making her way towards him. His face settled into an easy smile as he pushed himself off the prop he'd been leaning against, a small chuckle at the compliment. "V, as radiant as always. Lucky I ran into you over here. Want to take a photo to commemorate our sixth year?" He was truly not ready to graduate in just one more term.

Olivia could tell right off the bat just how much Keighley thought of her younger brother. She recognised it because it was the same way she felt about Oliver. Her ruby red lips {complements of a very pretty lipstick she had bought specially for this event} curved once more into a smile. “Now that’s something everyone can learn from you.’’ Others gravitated towards the positive people and those positive people could be a beacon in their lives. “I hope he’s enjoying his married life. He’s really talented so I look forward to hearing more music in the near future from the band.”
That was true but it also meant that Olivia would have this moment with the prettiest girl at the dance. “Top hats too!’’ It was going to be an epic mini photoshoot, Olivia could already tell. A minute was taken to admire the decorations in the booth before she reached for two tophats and mustaches. “Here you are, Keighley.” She handed the girl one of each before trying on her own hat and holding up the mustache cutout just above her upper lip. “How do I look?”

The joys of being a teenager. Rather than a desire to grow up faster, Atlas had the desire to regress. Things were less complicated while you are a kid and everything just felt more and more complicated these days. The most difficult part for him was parsing what growing pains were normal and which were influenced by the ripples of wartime trauma. The answer to that? Just not think about any of it and let it wallow and fester in the background constantly. It was both working and not working simultaneously. But with Remy...he could mostly forget all those things, which in turn made him all the more reluctant to talk about them because there was a subconscious fear of popping a certain protective bubble. He felt as though he had very few safe spaces...and he wasn't about to give the remaining ones up. So, ironically, their fears and concerns were almost mutual to a degree - the fear of loss, at least.
But, uh, in any case...the sunglasses certainly did not make her nose look big and he was tempted to ask Remy if she needed glasses because clearly her eyesight was suffering. How is that for a compliment, eh? "Entirely the opposite," he replied easily, uuuuuuuuuuutterly oblivious to the test Remy was tasking him with. Also, as someone who was kind of the master of judging people based on the results of tests they were not aware they were taking, he might advise her not to do that. One was often left rather disappointed. "They make your nose look smaller. Kind of cute how they can't fit on your nose properly because you have a fairy nose." You know, fairy...like the decorations and her nose being small like if a fairy were to wear human-sized sunglasses. Only not really. It had not been a particularly to scale explanation. "You look fine, Remy. Better than fine."
And he had signed himself up for at least six pictures, it seemed. This night was going in directions he had not anticipated at all - maybe that wasn't such a bad thing though.
And, well, speaking of unexpected...this predicament inside the photo booth was another one and his brain was scrambling with trying to come up with an excuse for the whole...er...yeah. Thankfully, Remy provided the perfect reason and he was going to just burst right on through the door that she had cracked up. "Uh...duuuuuh," he grinned before giving her sides a playful tickle and dropping them from the balancing act masquerading as a hug and set to adjusting his own sunglasses. "Wait a second..." The jump had knocked his holographic cat ears right off his head, but his backwards cap remained perfectly in place, so he took a moment to crouch down and retrieve those, slipped them back on top of his cap, and threw his obnoxious feather boa dramatically around his neck. "...okay....NOW...I am ready."
And to lay emphasis, he stuck his tongue out. That...was THE pose, right?

If there was one thing anyone should know about Keighley, it was how close she was to her family. Mainly her siblings. Their bond was unbreakable. "Thank you, it's not always easy but I try my hardest to be positive whenever I can be." She was that ray of sunshine her family always said that she was. "There's no doubt in my mind that he is. Stasya, that's his wife now, she's really very nice and they've known each other for ages for I'm sure they're super happy." He had to be otherwise he have gotten married. "His band is amazing." And no she wasn't just saying that because he was her brother but that may have had a little something to do with it.
If only Keighley knew what Olivia was thinking the third year would be about a hundred shades of pink right then. "This is going to be so much fun!" The blonde laughed accepting both a top hat and a paper mustache for herself. Placing the hat on her head in an ever so slightly crooked manner and holding the mustache above her own lip she looked over at her new friend and tried to hold back the giggles. "Marvelous! Simply marvelous!" Silly is what she really meant but in the most very best way! This was so much fun!

Vasco was standing there for AGES waiting on Vera. At least that's what it felt like to him as he stood there fiddling with the cuff of his shirt sleeve, every so often glancing up to see if he saw her coming his way. He was pretty sure he had told her to hurry up and not take her time, so was she possibly doing that so much more important than meeting up with him?
And he just had to think he wanted to know, didn't he? For just as that very question went through his mind and he glanced up once more, he spotted her. Twirling her way in his general direction. Why, why was she always like this?! With a semi audible groan of clear annoyance at this being what had kept her, the not so much taller than his sister first year made the best attempt that he could at trying to reach out and grab her to keep her from falling.
Buuuuuuut had he managed it?

The compliment did all sorts of up and down things to Remy’s head. Starting with concerns that her nose was TOO small, to her nose being cute and fairy sized which caused INSTANT butterflies, soon fading when he finished with the word ‘fine’. “Thanks… I guess.” She replied quietly while tucking a stray curl behind her ear and wing of the sunglasses. The rollercoaster of dealing with boys was exhausting. Thus far, Atlas was the only one who caused such extremity in emotions, though.
A major crush. First name of a few listed in her diary. Future husband, basically.
Okay, tickling was NOT accepted no matter your ranking in her diary, Mister Flamsteed. Once her yelp of hysterics had passed, he received an unappreciative glare and a gentle jab with her elbow. “Don’t ever do that again, Flobberworm.” She wiggled her finger at him and finally smirked, “Or. Else.” Or else she’d find a sticky sweet and hide it in his robes, or perhaps something a little less evil than that.
Finally, they seemed ready for the first set of photos. Remy found herself a seat while leaving plenty of room for her friend, but not too much room, of course. His first pose was perfect and she mimicked it with her signature tongue poking out, alongside a rock on sign using her hand as the first flash snapped.
The image appeared on the screen quickly before readying for the next, and it made her uncontrollably laugh, quickly glancing to him as she did. Seemed like a perfect next shot.

Honestly Ve was not sure if she was just naturally talented at being super annoying, or if her brother was just a far too easy target. Even when she wasn't actively trying to annoy him, the very rare moments that these were, she STILL managed to be successful at her lifelong goals. She would have been fully impressed with herself, if she wasn't so busy potentially falling to her DOOOOOM.
Except, no crashing to the ground this time as she felt her brother grab her and righted her. Her knees were still a little wobbly, that was a looooot of spinning, but she brushed off her skirt and just smiled at him instead. "Thanks bird brain! Did you already pick which backdrop you want to do for Papa? Do you think we can just do one of ALLLLLL of them?"

Olivia nodded, understanding what Keighley was saying fully. “I’ve learnt that it’s helpful to be sad or overwhelmed when you need to be. Those moments pass and most times, you get to be happy again.” She knew this wasn’t always the case but this was how it worked for her. She hoped that Kaighley didn’t burden herself with false positivity but rather processed the negative ones when necessary. “I guess them being happy is the most important thing, right?” Stasya. Yes, that was Koen's wife's name. Olivia remembered reading that fact as well. The Ravenclaw bobbed her head. “The band really is! I’ve been to a few of their concerts and own a few of their merch.” This scored some points with her in Keighley’s books hopefully.
Olivia agreed! It was going to be a dozen times over fun. Especially since it was clear that Keighley was enjoying herself already. “Thank you. I look like the perfect gentleman, don’t I?” she asked in a gruff and the manliest voice she could muster. “Well, hello there, Sir. You’re looking quite dapper.” She laughed, marveling at how easy it was for her to be this relaxed with the Hufflepuff. “Shall we pose for the pictures then?” Olivia peeked outside once more, deciding that these props would do for now; they could always grab others later. “Magical photos, right?” The girl held up her left hand to make the peace sign, her pose for now.

"Most definitely. You can't be happy one hundred percent of the time. Everyone has their breaking point and needs time to recharge, to process things. I find it best for me to be around my family when those moments hit, so far I've been very fortunate that those moments are very often and pass quickly for me." She knew though that when something happened and she needed help, her family would be right there for her like they always were. "That's the main thing, if Koen is happy then so am I." That's how it worked, right? "Oh yeah?! We should totally listen to his music together sometime then." Seriously. Maybe they could meet up this summer?
Being silly was always a lot of fun no matter how old you were. "The most perfect," Keighley smiled already trying to hold back her own laughter. "Why, thank you, Sir!" She tipped her hat at Olivia and even bowed at the waist before bursting out into a small fit of giggles. "Yes, yes, lets before I can't manage anything at all." This was said through a little more laughter which she was trying to contain and a nod of her head in agreement to magical photos.
Ooooh, peace signs were nice! Good idea, Olivia! Could they do bunny ears next?!

If anyone were to ask him that, he wouldn't answer. Vera was his sister, twin sister. Wasn't that enough of an answer anyway? Nine out of ten times it didn't matter what the twin was doing, she somehow managed to pull him right into it even if she was nowhere near him. Like now. He was always saving her butt from certain doom. Literally.
"Mm," Vas hummed letting his eyes roam over her for a brief moment to see how dirty she had already gotten herself. Couldn't she wait thirty seconds? Even he was waiting. The chocoholic hadn't eaten a thing yet.. and he was STAVING! "Choose whichever you want, Magpie." All he cared about was getting this over with so he could go eat.

Unknowing to Olivia, she certainly was not the person to think that Keighley was wise for her age. She might not even be the last for this train of thought. She nodded, feeling an odd sense of relief that she couldn’t quite explain, relief that Keighley seemed to know how to handle these sorts of emotions they were discussing. “Family is a great help. I guess not for everyone but we’re fortunate this is the case for us.” Olivia’s parents were always supportive as was her big brother, annoying as he may be at times. The Ravenclaw beamed. The last thing she had expected was there to be a suggestion for her and Keighley to bond over music! “I’d love that! I have every bit of material The Kings and Serpents put out.” Could the Hufflepuff tell that this band was her all time fave?
Olivia had not thought that she would have so much fun this evening. She loved how Keighley was taking this spur of the moment activity into stride. “You’re welcome, my beautiful lady!’’ she responded in the same ‘manly’ voice. She thought Keighley was the sweetest. Soon enough, Olivia’s giggles joined Keighley’s so that the photo booth was full of their laughter. If they didn’t watch out, very soon they might be too weak from laughter to take out many photos. But they were posing not too long after and their pictures were being taken. “Next pose!’’ she urged Keighley. Olivia held the mustache away from her face, put her free hand on her hip and arranged her in a happily surprised expression with her mouth open.
Vasco CLEARLY didn't know her if he genuinely thought she would have been capable of waiting to dive into the food. Vera Wang Brinley Thanatos had two motivators: Food and chaos. And for everyone's sake, her attention to be focused on food was probably to the benefit of EVERYONE in attendance at the dance. You're welcome, Hogwarts Student Body. Besides, wouldn't Papa have been concerned to see Vera actually looking properly put together for once??
SHE would have been.
Dusting herself off, which did absolutely nothing for the mess that she was, she skipped over towards one of the selections of props. First, a couple of boas. The bronze and blue one would be good for Vasco, and she could do the red and gold! It probably wouldn't match either of their outfits that fabulously, but... it was fun. And feathery. And she wanted them. AND considering Vasco DID just tell her whatever she wanted... She threw one boa over her, draping his over her arm before selecting a mustache on a stick, a top hat, two pairs of silly goggles and what looked like a giant lion top hat.
They were going to look fabulous.
"Let's go into this one!" she pointed at the closest booth, waving to her brother to follow her before slipping into one herself and re-arranging her bright boa over her rainbow dress and the lion hat and a pair of sunglasses. She was clearly stylish. And Vas would be too with the bright blue and bronze, the black top hat to match the dress robes Papa had sent him, and matching pair of shades. "Huuuuuuurry, hurry!"

Keighley considered Olivia's words before she nodded her head. "I suppose not everyone wants their families help either." She wasn't one of those people. If she needed assistance in any way, she wasn't afraid to take it. "With a family as large as mine, I consider myself extremely lucky as there's always someone around to help me should I need it." Family was everything. Okay, wait a minute. Hold on! Olivia just scored big points here if she was as big a fan of the band as she was saying she was! "So do I but I guess that would be a given since he's my brother?" she laughed. If it was available, she had it. Okay, who was she kidding? Being the cute little sister that she was.. she tended to get things early and she was super proud of that.
No matter what she was doing, Keigh always tried to make the most of things and have a good time. Making a new friend was one of the best reasons to have a ton of fun and make some great memories. Oh, my goodness! That fake manly voice that Olivia was speaking in was hilarious! If she kept it up, the third year wasn't going to be able to stop her fit of giggles. Somehow she managed it long enough for the photo to be taken of them, a bright smile plastered on her face. Lowering the paper mustache, she held her hands up with her fingers curled a little and her pretended to roar like a tiger or lion. Yes, she was being silly and she was having great fun in doing so.
*****
One could truly argue that point, seeing as to how HE was always the one with food. Well candy. Typically chocolate of some sort or another. And he was the mastermind behind most of her chaos or the one keeping her from certain doom like moments earlier. Yet, she never gave him a break and left him be.
Merlin forbid she thought about anybody but herself. There was going to come a day when he wasn't going to be around to catch her and she was going to fall hard. Perhaps that is what needed to happen.. but he never let it. She was his sister after all...
Watching her grab props for the two of them he wandered over wordless when she finally announced that she was ready. It was about time too, he could've taken a bunch of photos without her and been done by now. Entering the booth behind Vera, Vas sat down and held out his hand for whatever horrors she no doubt had chosen for him to wear.
