| | | First Quidditch Match Hufflepuff/Slytherin :ballcap: The stands look like their just about full and most of the Hogwarts student body has arrived. Spots sends an owl to the Quidditch Announcer that it seems finally all is in place and the Firtst Quidditch of the term may begin. NOTE: chatting in the Quidditch thread will not be tolerated, so please no posts like "so and so seeker floats over the Pitch waiting to see the Snitch" and remember NO editing of any kind, if you make a mistake....too bad. A coin toss prior to the start of this match by the Headmaster determined that Hufflepuff will get the first Quaffle question then Slytherin, and so on and so on....Good Luck!!! (also remember, if there's a Beater question offered, then it's to the team who is NOT answering the Quaffle question) |

12 as stated in this phrase from OOTP, "that Harry was not going to suffer an early death after all but live to a ripe old age, become minister of magic, and have twelve children."

Beautiful shot too if I may say so......so as the tension mounts, and teh students begin chanting "Snitch Snitch Snitch" we all wait as the next question goes to Slytherin." Quaffle question to Slytherin: Who wrote The Dream Oracle?

| "Well there it is folks…….high above the pitch and I do believe….yes!! both Seeker have spotted the Golden Snitch, this could be it, Ladies and Gentlemen, if the Slytherin Seeker manages to capture the Snitch before the Hufflepuff Seeker, it will be all over……they’re neck and neck again, down at the south end of the Pitch this one may take a while…look at them go……." Snitch Question to both Seekers: What famous Quidditch player, who died a tragic death, now has a ward named after them in St. Mungos?

:ballcap: Sir_Spots floats out into the middle of the Pitch and addresses the stands, "Ladies and Gentlemen, students, Headmaster, Ministry guests, what a Match, I would like to add my congratulations to the Slytherin team and their players and supporter, I would like to also note a special congratulations to their Captain, Nadia. And I would be in error not to note their opponent who fought a hard battle, the team from Hufflepuff and thier wonderful Captain, Mrs. Weasley. As a result of the victory, Slytherin recieved an additional 150 points for the third Snitch, which brings their total to 240 to Hufflepuff's 75. So according to the rules, the difference being 165, then 165 points will be awarded to the Slytherin House. Congratulations again to both teams and I will keep the stand open for a few more hours but I will be turning off the lights here in the Pitch until our next Match between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw which is scheduled to take place in a couple of weeks. Thank you for your sportsmanship and goodnight. CONGRATULATIONS SLYTHERIN!!! FINAL SCORE 240-75
Final question tally Quaffle questions-34 Beater questions -6 Snitch questions -4 :ballcap:
