Delaney roamed down the hallway passing by portraits and statues, but payed no mind to them. The corridor was deserted. Everyone would be in the great hall still finishing dinner, but Delaney only sat at the Slytherin table long enough to grab a few biscuits and tucked them in her robes before leaving again. Even with the hall decorated for the holidays the tension during meals was always present which led to Delaney always losing her appetite.

She eventually slowed down as she found a nook tucked away overlooking the quad. The sun was nearly set, and the stars began materializing in the sky. The silence and chilly breeze were welcoming. Delaney plopped down in her newfound nook and unpacked a dueling book from her satchel that she had taken from the library. She found the biscuits she had stashed and nibbled at one, brushing away the crumbs from her robes. There wasn’t much to do at Hogwarts even with Christmas approaching, all the young girl could do was keep her head down and continue her studies. The more spells she could learn the stronger she would be, and hopefully at the end of the term she would be able to return back to Landsdown.

She took out her wand to try a few spells she had already learned. The occasion sparks flying from the tip and illuminated the small portion of the hallway she occupied.

Violet had skipped dinner today--she was worried about so many things that she just couldn't eat. Anyway, she was starting to think her bottom was getting too big, anyway. Besides, she had a lot of thinking to do. And this deserted corridor seemed as good a place to be alone as any (if you could really ever be alone in this castle).

As she walked past the portraits and statues, she glanced up at them from time to time, but none of them seemed to be in their frames or if they were, they were off in the distance. That was just great--desert us all in our hour of need! Though Violet supposed if she had the chance, she'd take a bunk, too--especially after what happened to that other portrait a while ago.

Suddenly Violet noticed sparks illuminating the hallway up ahead of her, and she felt the unmistakable tingle of magic. Oh no, what was going on!?! Was she walking into a trap? Her first impulse was to turn and run, but she almost thought she heard a soft sound far behind her, and wasn't sure which direction was the most dangerous.

So she drew her own wand and advanced slowly and quietly to the point where the sparks were coming from. Then stepping out boldly with her wand pointed, she started to cast a spell: "Expec....!!!" But it was only one of the first years with a book, practicing, apparently. Violet lowered her wand, hoping the girl didn't notice that her hand was trembling just the tiniest little bit. "Oh, sorry. I didn't know anybody else was up here."

He had promised himself to be strong and not to let his emotions control him but he had done it again. The seventh year emerged from the storeroom at the end of the fifth floor corridor, his eyes were still a bit red and swollen despite that he had stayed in the room for quite a long time to reduce it. He didn’t want anyone to know that he had been crying alone from time to time. Wishing that he could see his parents and little brother and check if they were alright.

The Hufflepuff cleared his throat and ran a hand through his hair as he began walking down the corridor before stopping in front of one of the portraits to look at it in. Attempting to distract himself from his thoughts.

Octavia had made a promise to her parents, even though she couldn't contact them and they had no idea of the situation she was dealing with, to stay out of trouble the best that she could. The best she could meaning, until one of her friends needing her. So today she wasn't spending time outside because she saw some of the neo-alliance on the grounds from her tower windows. They were that easy to spot.

Spending time indoors was fine until you couldn't find your friends. Tavie searched the gryffindor towers first (it was SO easy to get into common rooms when they didn't have riddles) and didn't find a single soul to cuddle with, so she was headed down to the base floors when she came across the tall dark haired boy.

From the back he looked interesting enough. His hair was certainly nice, so she went to took up the space by his side, giving him a sidelong glance before she studied the portrait. "If you wait long enough, they'll swap riddles with you." She knew this from experience.

Perhaps it was his growing anxiety but Minjae had developed a great sense of hearing over the term. He had heard someone even before they had turned the corner, his gaze focused on the end of the corridor in case it was one of the Headmasters followers. Cause if it were the case, he had to leave. Immediately.

He relaxed a bit when he saw a younger girl and with a small sigh he turned back to the portrait. Waiting for her to pass him by so that he could go on with his day. Color him surprised when he saw her standing next to him. "Oh no... I hope not" he responded as he looked from the portrait to her "I am not good with riddles, at all" hence why he wasn't wearing blue robes.
