The weather is brisk as you head down to the pitch, autumn firmly taking hold with the leaves on the trees starting to turn coppery hues. The sky might be clear and the sun out, but there’s definitely still a chill in the air. At least the dew on the grass present when you arrived for this morning’s SORE exercises has cleared, so there’d be no need for soggy bottoms when you eventually sit down.
Under the hoops at one end of the pitch stand Professors Baldvinsson and Noble, chatting about the latest Quidditch results. Lines of mason jars containing bluebell flames radiate out from them, forming several concentric semi-circles. “Find yourself a jar,” Noble instructs, “And put your cauldron on it ready.” They had remembered their cauldrons, yes?

Hmm. Lucas had been SO excited about his answer...but Professor B seemed a little...harsh? About it? He crinkled his nose and made a slight face. Kinda' offensive, if you asked Lucas, to put down someone's traditional medicine.
Actually, it irked Lucas more than he cared to admit. Like it was an attack on his mother's ideas and values, even if it wasn't, but it FELT that way. Whatever. The teenager rolled his eyes when Professor B wasn't looking....but then remembered how disrespectful that was and wished he hadn't, but it had been DONE. ATTITUDE HAD BEEN HAD. NO TAKING IT BACK NOW.

RICE THOUGH? Lucas' ears perked because rice sounded soooooOOOooo good right now --- but alas, it wasn't the food. It was the technique they'd be using today in class. Right. He couldn't even receive food from home anymore because they were checking OWLS and no eating outside the Great Hall so...like....he missed noodles and rice and all the instant cups he used to snack on all the time. It was practically killing him. He glanced around quietly, looking for someone who needed a partner...Derf already had someone...ummm. He felt kinda' awkward asking people....Maxton had gone with Zachary.
"Anyone wanna' partner with me?"

R.I.C.E. Okay. Seemed like an easy enough thing to remember. A little boring honestly and she tried not to let that show on her face as Professor Baldvinsson went over what each letter stood for and demonstrate how to operate something called a sling which honestly looked like some torture device designed to torment the injured party.
Practice time and no rest...hmmm.
Not really the best with wand work, she moved to grab one of the rolled up things off the ground. She looked around for someone to partner up with but she was such an introvert that she didn't outright ask for anyone to join her. Trying to be a little ladylike about it, she sat on the ground and decided to wrap her knee and sitting means rest so there's that...
She wasn't sure if she should unroll it and wrap it like string or take advantage of the fact that it was rolled and easily controlled. She chose the latter and pressed the end of it to the underside of her knee. Was it supposed to stick to her skin? How did it stay on to start? She looked around at the other and tried to mimic them. She kinda rolled it over her knee then under trying not to make it too tight. Over. Under. Over. Under. Over. Under.
It looked pretty good to her. She stood up to admire her work and...it slid down her leg to rest around her ankle. Maybe it wasn't tight enough...

DID PROFESSOR NOBLE SEE HOW GENEROUS SHE WAS BEING? HMMMMM?
Lucas was worried. It wasn't news to anyone who knew him but he was still worried.
First he'd been worried that he had to find a partner and now that he'd asked to the class, he was worried that no one would want to partner up with him. He wasn't a BAD partner. His primary school teachers always called him a delight to have in class. Mhm!
It was a relief, then, to hear someone calling out to him and saying that..... they'll be his partner? But that relief soon turned to confusion when he realised that the person who wanted to be his partner was the same person who picked up the pizza during the Gryffindor party and just left. She gave off the too-cool-for-school vibe and he was more..... Lucas. Just Lucas.
Maybe she'll have tips for him on that whole confidence vibe. Maybe.
Thinking that he shouldn't keep her waiting any longer, the first year went and grabbed two bandages and then made his way towards the older, cooler Gryffindor. "Hey! I'm Lucas. Thanks, for, uh, saying you'll partner up with me." Smile.
Patrick listened intently to the remedies that people were giving up. One that he had learned a time or two over the summer was vinegar. Raising his hand patrick waited until he was called in. “when we would get burns we would put vinegar on them to take the sting out... but st home remedies for other accidents were usually pretty simple with ice.”
He looked over at Anna and whispered, “hey hope this isn’t too bad now that we’re talking about injuries...” he turned his attention back to the front listening to all the remedies people came up with.
Anna gave Patrick a look that was kind of doubtful and somewhat hopeless because Potions was kind of bound to ruin everything AND!! "Look, they took Juniper's broom. No flying for us this time, I suppose." BOOO! She wasn't amused.
The fourth year shrugged when Mr Baldvinsson countered her reply and said he trusted her not to suggest that to her teammates. Shruug. That would depend. If they were just being dramatic she probably would. Hmmm. BUT she knew better not to tell the man that, heehee. "I meant minimal injuries anyway." And, y'know, she could totally be the judge of what was minimal or not when it came to her team... Heehee.
She DID laugh out loud at Zoryn's answer, though. Brilliant indeed. And Anna agreed. People nowadays could be overly sensitive when it came to injuries and probably felt like special snowflakes or something. Someone needed to TOUGHEN THEM UP! Anna was up for the task.
...
Ooohhh, noooooo. They were doing first aid stuff. How boring! Anna wasn't that up for it, but she supposed it was better than brewing a Potion, so she'd give it a go although she'd still rather be flying. She had to admit that watching Mr Baldvinsson demonstrate it all on professor Noble was veeeryy entertaining, and she even laughed out loud at the men's interaction, especially Noble's unamused face as his arm was wrapped and his reply to having his arm levitated. Alright, this lesson wasn't as boring anymore.
Turning to Patrick, she started. "I'll go first!" She told him, already getting up to fetch the things she would need to wrap his arm - or leg; leg sounded more fun - and all that jazz. As she walked back towards where their cauldrons were, Anna decided to practice the spell just in case. "Glacius." She said, pointing her wand towards the bandages she was holding. She could feel the cold air blowing towards her hand and the bandages. "Oop!" The girl exclaimed, dropping the bandages onto the ground and shaking her hand slightly because the cold air was indeed VERY cold and for some pointless reason caught her by surprise. She laughed out loud at her silly moment before kneeling down by their workstation. "Right, hold your leg out, I'm going to wrap it up!" She grinned up at Patrick as she got the bandages from the floor. "Remember, you don't choose which leg gets injured." The Gryffindor added mimicking Mr Baldvinsson, and pointing at the Slytherin's right leg meaning she would work on that one whether he liked it or not! Heehee!

Stella felt like what the Professor said was a bit harsh as well, her mother been using that tradition on her sprained ankle for years, although she bit her lip not saying anything. But anyone that was close to her could tell she looked like Tinklebell when she was angry but she kept her cool. Besides she was here to learn new things and ways, but he didn't have to be harsh in her opinion. Maybe she shouldn't have raised her hand, keep her knowledge and what she knew to herself. "Well... next time I raise my hand to you old goat!" she thought to herself.
Mmm...rice sounded yummy about right now, oh how she wanted some chocken fried rice. Oh... it made her miss home right now, but she knew she wasn't going home anytime soon or getting anything from home as well. It seems like this was going to be another interesting lesson, she sighed to herself.
Stella was looking for a partner and glanced over at the older Lucas. " I don't have a partner if you don't mind working with a firstie." she said smirking at him.

Juniper had no idea that a flying lesson would have so many notes. Clearly only this lesson would. She was already aware of what R.I.C.E was. Rest. Ice. Compression. Elevation. A whole acronym for what to do when you have a injury. It was really self explanatory but she took the notes on it anyway.
The captain got up and grabbed one of the ace bandages. The plan actually was to just work alone, but as she headed back to her spot she noticed a younger Ravenclaw girl that didn’t quite have her bandage on her and it slid down her leg.
The sixth year smiled at the younger girl. ”I think that’s got to be a little tighter around your knee. We can partner up if you want. It’s easier to wrap someone else.” It really was. She would rather work with someone else to do something like this. First time ever she was completely okay with partnering up, even more so with people she wasn’t really social with. Good for her. "I'm Juni by the way."

Kaitlynn turned and looked at the older Ravenclaw and gave her a small smile. "I guess I could really use the help. I've never really had to use these things before and honestly I'm nervous about doing the whole spell thing cause I'm not the best with spells..." The second year closed her mouth because she was rambling a bit. Not really the best with social situations either.
Composing herself she took a deep breath, "Kaitlynn. My name is Kaitlynn. Nice to meet you Juni." She crouched down and unwound the stretchy material from her ankle and held it in her hand. "Maybe you could wrap me first?" It made sense in her mind, after all then she could figure out just how tight she should really be wrapping the thing.

Oh he had an OFFFFFFER! "No, not at all, Stella!" he said with a thumbs up. "I'd looooove to work with you!" She was such a nice first year! Kinda' endearing, too! "Let's get right into this. Want me to go first and...you can try it on me next? Let's practice the first part with glacius spell though... you heard how I said you? Now you say it!" And he waited for her to say it before moving on. "Now this is the wand movement---" he simply pointed his wand. "Easy right?" He did the wand movement and practiced saying the word a few times, gesturing for Stella to do the same.
And after a minute or two of that, he turned to face. "I'll practice on you first, okay? What do you want to be injured?" Wait... "Well actually, in real life you don't get to pick what gets injured so I'll just pick-----YOUR WRIST!" and he took a hold of it and chuckled. "You've broken it - oh no! - what EVER will we doooo?" he feigned shock. "I think I know what to do FIRST though---leeeeeeet's ICE IT." And he performed the spell, glacius, on the "afflicted" area. Not ONTO her skin...but...like....near it. He didn't want to freeze her arm! "Yeah so...don't aim directly at the area...because that would freeze your skin." And that would not be good. "Next is..." he was holding her wrist gently. "The C...compression." Time to get the little bandage thing and wrap it around her wrist firmly. He summoned one of the wraps from the ground with his wand and began to wrap it gently around her wrist, taking the time and care to make it neat and correctly done. He patted her wrist once he was done. "and now...elevation..." he grinned. "but of course....we don't need to elevate it now." They only needed to practice the ICE and COMPRESSION. He waved her wrist around in a floppy manner. "Feeling better?" he winked.
Now...his turn? "okokokOKOKokok...you do me now."

Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
Daisy was still waiting for a partner so she decided to practice the Freezing Spell. She aimed her wand towards the ground and non-verbally cast, "Glacius" which caused an area of grass in front of her to become slightly frosty. She then pocketed her wand and went to fetch a bandage in order to practice compression.
Max jumped, startled when he received a pat. It caught him so much by surprise that he automatically felt himself nodding at the culprit — the new Slytherin guy.
“Uhhhh…. yeah, okay. I suppose,” he responded with a shrug. It would probably be tricky attempting to bandage up your own arm, so maybe partnering up wouldn’t be so bad. “Do you wanna do me first? Or shall I do you?”
Why were all the Slytherin Student Leaders so fidgety?
At his response though, something so stupid came to mind, but Zac refrained from being that idiot. Or at least for now."Sure, you can do me first" he nodded, with a straight face. See mother, he could behave.
"Lets practise the spell first?" he asked since the older boy had his wand out already. Pointing his own wand at the ground, he practised the hand movement before trying to say the spell right; GLAY-see-us.
He practised it once, twice --- and thrice, before finally casting the spell altogether at the ground, "Glacius" Grinning, he turned to look at Maxton as the blue light appeared at the tip of his wand. This was so satisfying.
"Why don't you try it? And I'll go get us some bandages" He offered next to the prefect.

Natasha looked around at her classmates, envious at how easily they were able to approach each other. At times she felt cursed for being so shy. Shaking her head to herself, she picked up one of the bandages, then found a little spot out of the way where she could sit to practice. She was familiar with the use of the bandage, and wrapped her knee up nice and neat. The spell, that was new to her, and it challenged her confidence. "Glacius." She said, pointing her wand at tje bandage on her knee, but nothing happened. "Come on, work with me a little." She pleaded with her wand. "Glacius." She tried again. There was a faint blue light and the bandage cooled down enough to be noticible. It wasn't perfect, but it was a start.

Some things would probably work better than others, so maybe they could experiment with it... That could prove to be pretty fun. But for the moment, they needed to focus on the activity at hand; they both had injuries that needed to be healed!
The basic practice down, they were ready to get started. "Sure." Madison was okay with things either way, and had no problem with Hanna play Healer first. She watched as the other girl wandered off to get a bandage, and in the meantime sat comfortably. In a way she was STILL getting the resting part in even if the professor said that they wouldn't be doing that. Well, she was sitting down, so it still applied.
Hanna had a good question about the freezing part, since obviously the ice couldn't be applied directly to her skin - that would only lead to an ice burn, and they did NOT want that to happen. "Good thinking," Madison added as her friend set about using frozen grass and dirt instead, placing it into the bandage wrapper. She thought for a moment. "I injured my right wrist." She was right-handed, and thought it would be interesting to have that one all wrapped up. Since as had been mentioned before, sometimes you did end up being unable to use your dominant arm/hand. A leg was out of the question, because she didn't like to think about not being able to walk properly, even if it was for an activity.
Patiently she waited for Hanna to treat her arm.
Ooooh! That was a good point! "Think of all the things we could get from the kitchens!" You know, because with increased exercise AKA SORE, Hanna found herself getting hungry more than usual.
Hanna smiled at Maddie as she saw her partaking of one very important part of RICE. Rest. "You're doin a good job of resting, my patient," she said expertly. Her right wrist! "What did you do to it?" she pretend asked, as she held the ice on Maddie's wrist. "Is it too cold?" Hanna never really iced herself, so she wasn't sure how much pressure to use to hold the ice onto Maddie's wrist.
After a few minutes, Hanna deemed the area sufficiently iced. At least... hoped it was sufficiently iced. How long did they need to ice the area for anyway? "Next step, compression!" Hanna removed the make-do ice pack from Maddie's wrist and started bandaging it. Having only ever used cuts of fabric on dolls and things, she did the best job she could. Starting with Maddie's hand, wrapping it around, then above the thumb so that she would have use of it. Then she slowly wrapped, whilst trying to get the compression bit good enough. Once the entire bandage was used, wrapping Maddie from hand to just below her elbow, she secured it with the stretchy claw things. "How's that? Is it too tight?" Hanna really had no idea.

Max raised an eyebrow. Practice? He didn't feel the need to practice... not the charm part anyway. Charms was sort of his thing and he was even starting to get the hang of them non-verbally now. And he used this particular charm all the time for iced-coffee.
Still, he nodded in agreement anyway. He supposed Zac wanted to make sure he had it down before.... y'know, it was attempted on any body parts which was understandable. He sure was glad to see that Zac's attempts weren't a disaster anyways because he wasn't keen on leaving class with frostbite.
As he waited for his housemate to collect the bandages, Max blotted out the sound of everyone else and concentrated on casting the spell non-verbally until the patch of ground near his feet turned an icy shade. Success!

Jessa could've explained to the Professor that at this point in her life she wouldn't be trying or [i/]practising[/i] the suturing charm as she'd been practising it on herself and her subjects since her 3rd year but that would open the door to other more complicated questions she wasn't in the mood to answer. Instead, she silently nodded, conceding to his point that it wouldn't be useful for quidditch injuries.
Remarkably, she kept up with the man's league long lecture........for the most part. Being a kinaesthetic learner, standing by and passively acquiring so much information was always a little painful but the Ravenclaw tried her best and did manage to keep her fidgeting to a minimum,
Thankfully they would be getting into some form of activity right after. Her mind felt numb and in need of physical stimulation.
Naturally, she would forgo getting a partner. It was nothing personal, she just preferred working alone when she could, and didn't think highly of the skills of her classmates--so maybe some offence could still be taken but it wasn't the intention. To put it very plainly, it gave her less anxiety just getting things done on her own.
First thing's first, choosing a limb. Her right knee would do. Jessa silently cast a glacius charm by the area, being careful not to directly cast on the knee itself--something she'd already known. Again, there had been a lot of injuries in her time, not all on herself but enough all the same. She'd gotten plenty of practice with making things better.
Grimacing only a little at the cold by her joint, Jessa accio-ed herself a line of bandages and began to carefully wrap her knee. As it turned out, this wasn't one of the more needed remedies while she was working up in her lab. She didn't usually end up with sprained or broken anythings, making this refreshing in some way. Round and round the bandage went. Nearing its end, Jessa gave a particularly firm tug to make sure it was as snug as Noble talked about.
There.
"Injury" taken care of.

"How about you fix me up first?" he suggested, offering his left arm to her to do with as she pleased. "I took a real bad hit from a bludger. Think it may have broken. Hopefully you won't have to chop it off."
Rylee very nearly giggled as Derf had to look down at her. "I sure hope so seeing as to how we don't have to go sitting in anything or walking through anything slimy," she grinned. That had been fun though collecting slugs together.
"Sure thing. I can do thing." Rylee nodded firmly. "A bludger, huh? You're supposed to hit them with your beaters bat not let them hit you, you know," she teased lightly laughing. So was the job of being a Beater out on the Quidditch pitch.
"So first you would rest it, right? Then ice it?" Rylee glanced up at him for reassurance. "I cast Glacius, right?" This she knew how to do already having used the charm many times to cool down the wax when making her flower crowns. "I'll be careful, don't worry." Pulling out her wand she cast 'Glacius near his left arm so as not to cause any harm to his skin. "Not to cold?"
"Now compression." Using an ace bandage she gently but firmly went ahead to wrap Derf's left arm. When she was all done she look at him. "How does that feel? Is it to tight?" She smiled softly. "Lastly you should keep that elevated." She grinned up at him. How did she do?

That was.... a lot of instructions from Baldvinsson, but Bel was listening closely, even to the responses to the other kids answers. This stuff was important, and Relevant To Her Interests™. She jotted down as many notes as she could, mostly leaving spaces to further expand on things later on, and then eagerly watched the demo on Professor Noble... and tried not to laugh, though she was smiling widely. She never understood why people thought he was a grump, he wasn't THAT bad, really. He was being a good sport about things right there and Bel was pretty sure a true grump wouldn't be. So he was just... a defense mechanism kind of grump. Actually not so bad, just not someone who would put up with rubbish, and that was something she could respect.
She got up and grabbed one of the ACE bandages, perfectly familiar with them since she had both injured herself a few times and done a first aid course before. She looked around a bit to see if anyone wanted to buddy up with her but most of her friends had partnered up with people already, and others that weren't friends (yet) had buddied up with their own mates. And hey! Max was working with Zac! Bel grinned and waved over at the two boys and then decided that she'd wrap her hand... the other hand though.
.......... and the spell. That bit would be tougher. She wasn't exactly one for spellwork. Erm.... maybe she'd practice the bandaging first, at least she knew she could do that. Bel began to wrap the bandage around her wrist, starting at her hand and working her way around. She was careful not to pull it too tight. She fastened it carefully and then tested it out, flexing her hand to see how the compression felt, and then double checked to see it wasn't cutting off her circulation. Yep. Looked good.
......
....
Yeah. Now to practice the spell? Bel was aware that she'd need to do the cold without the compression bandage on, but since it was probably gonna take her a bit to actually get the hang of the spell, at least she could say she'd ticked off this part of it.
Glacius right? Bel pointed her wand at a spot in front of her and, concentrating hard, gave it a go. Glay seeee usssss. Hopefully her accent didn't get in the way.

Heehee!
Patrick heard Anna holler at him that they would be partners. “Easy there my friend.” He warned as she tested the charm on her own hand. He laughed an easy thing to do around someone so bubbly. He was seriously concerned for that charm hitting his leg if it was going to be that cold. He was prepared to get all the credit here.
He watched her run for the bandages, “Remeber that we aren’t doing this too tight. I’m trying to be able to feel better not worse.” Pushing out his left leg instead of his right just to be funny. He looked over at the other groups trying to gauge how they were doing, who was working on arms who was working on legs. Just trying to figure out what was going on. “How you think this potion thing is going to work into it?” He asked waiting for the ace bandage to finally wrap around his leg.

"How about we head there after the lesson and see what we can find?" Then they could talk to the house elves as well, because Madison hadn't really had the chance to chat with them yet and she wanted to. House elves were really sweet and she heard that the ones at Hogwarts were treated really well, so that was something at least. It made her mad to think about any that were treated like slaves.
She beamed at her friend, because her 'resting' was being lazy more than anything, but at least she was getting points in for following RICE. "I fell off my broom and twisted my wrist as I landed. Fortunately I wasn't TOO high off the ground at the time, or it would have been worse." Sighing, she looked at her 'injured' wrist. Madison really wouldn't be cut out for the Quidditch team if she kept this up. Hehe. "The cold is just perfect." So everything was going along just as it should, and it was only a few minutes later that Hanna deemed things ready for compression. That meant her turn was coming closer at hand. She wondered how easily she would be able to treat her friend when she herself had a bandage on. They would see soon enough!
The ice pack was removed, and Madison watched as Hanna worked on getting the bandage around her wrist. Really it seemed like she was doing a good job of it. Once everything was finished, she inspected it and was pleased. "It's just perfect." Good job, Hanna! "I guess it's just the elevation part now, but there isn't really too much I can do for that when I have to work on treating you next..." It just wasn't practical. "Let's just say that I would know to keep it up, and leave it at that." As in demonstration, she raised her arm for a bit. Hopefully that would cut it.
"Now it's your turn! Before we get started, where have you injured yourself?" Once that was sorted, she would grab a bandage and begin treatment.

Lucas. Easy enough. She could try to remember that one. "Zoryn," though of course if he didn't already know that by now, then he was an idiot sandwich. Which meant that Zoryn needed a new partner, like, ASAP.
Only she didn't try to find a new partner because Lucus brought the bandages they needed and honestly, she liked him a little. He was kind of cute, did he know? For a snot-nosed first year, that is. They can only get so cute before they're actually just annoying.
Speaking of annoying, this lesson was starting out to be such a drag. What was the point of doing this fake demonstration if they were literally skipping two out of four letters? RICE? More like IC.
IC as in I C no point in this activity.
Despite this, she held out her arm. "You can try on me first if you want, I'll help you with the spell if you don't know it." Because she was feeling NICE today. Did Professor Noble see that? It's called having a HEART.

Just trying to figure out what was going on. “How you think this potion thing is going to work into it?” He asked waiting for the ace bandage to finally wrap around his leg.
Anna laughed when Patrick reminded her that 'they weren't doing this too tight.' "Afraid I'm going to hurt you so badly you won't be able to play Quidditch anymore, is it?" She teased, laughing at her own joke. "Don't worry, I'll go easy on ya." Wait, was that his funny American accent rubbing off on her? Lol! Jk, she was doing it on purpose. When the Slytherin offered his left leg instead of the right one, Anna looked up at him. "Hey!" She exclaimed, playfully slapping his wrong leg. "It's that one that's injured!" She told him, pointing at his RIGHT leg.
Yeeeeep, she waited until he offered his RIGHT leg while grinning cheekily up at him. Yep, she'd wait. Stubborn who? Nooot her! Heehee.
And then she started to wrap it. "Ladeda, deda..." The fourth year sang as she worked. 'How you think this potion thing is going to work into it?'"I honestly have no idea." She replied truthfully, shrugging but never stopping the wrapping up of his leg. "I just hope it's a quick and easy one. Have you got any idea what it's going to be?"
After the bandage had gone a few times around his leg, she stopped and looked thoughtful. "How much wrapping do we need to do?? Are they aware of how long your leg is!?" She laughed. "I suppose if you broke it... it'd have to be a very dramatic accident to break your leg in so many different places. I think this is enough." She said, finishing it up because ain't nobody got time for more wrapping a fake injury up. "Feeling better yet?" She asked before she snorted and laughed.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" She cast on his leg without warning JUST as Mr Baldvinsson had done to professor Noble. Y'know, for the lols. "Be careful!" Anna added, giving him her cheeky grin.

"So....." Lucas cleared his throat. "...... how did you get this injury..... Miss Zoryn?"
Because they were playing Healers and Patients, right?
Right?
Admittedly, she hadn’t been paying attention to the demonstration. So letting Lucas go first was more of a safety net, as he looked like the type to pay attention in lessons. And also the type to take notes. Which was something Zoryn appreciated about other people. ‘Cause the more people that took notes, the more people there’d be to ask for copies of said notes. Life was bliss when you did absolutely no work yet managed to profit anyways. It was good to be king.
“Anytime, Lukey,” not seriously though, she was only saying that to be nice. Zor did not have the time to be dealing with every first year’s mother. He could go waste Sylvie’s time instead. “Can I call you that?” Only asking out of courtesy because she’d probably call him that no matter what he said.
The sixth year watched the kid open up the bandage in silence (there’s a first time for everything kiddos). She was only SLIGHTLY judging him for the way he did it too.
It was like he had never seen a bandage in his ENTIRE life?
Was this lil’ dude okay? On second thought, maybe she should actually go back to finding a new partner. Like, no offense or anything.
And then, he was talking again. Cracking a smile, Zor decided to play along. Not, like, ‘cause she wanted to or anything… She was just being polite. Yeah. Polite. “I know you’re pretty new around here, Lukey, but I’m pretty much a star Quidditch player. Was the youngest captain the first year they brought it back and everything.” Background was essential. “So the professional league, they asked me to train some of their players for them. Unheard of, I KNOW!”
Create your own fun, right? Seeing as Noble LOVED to squeeze fun out of everything.
“So anyways, I was training these players when one of the players lobbed a bludger at THE ALICE ODESSA out of absolutely nowhere!!” *___* Alice Odessa, what a dream. “Long story short, I saved her life, but ended up with a battle wound. Some things are worth the sacrifice, y’know?”
She peaked down at his work, amused with how intense he was in wrapping. “Lookin’ pretty good, kid. You're a natural!”

Lukey.
Did everyone hear that? She was calling him LUKEY!
There was a huge beam on his face and he almost wanted to tell everyone he knew about this but..... yeah. It probably wasn't interesting enough to get a nickname so he.... ditched that little idea. But he WAS going to remember it, uh huh. "Yeah, of course. It's a nice nickname." And he had nothing for her so Zoryn, it was. Sorry.
It was nice to hear that the older girl was playing along with all of this. As if they were ACTUALLY Healer and Patient in here and not two students in a lesson. This was kind of fun, you know? And she was coming up with a story about being...... the youngest captain here? Uh. Was this just a story or did this ACTUALLY happen? Like actually actually.
And then she was talking about professional quidditch and someone named Alice Odessa - ????? - so he just.... let it go. Maybe it was fake and if that was the case, he had to give her credit for it. Because of this, he gasped in all the right places - or whenever he could, really. "Really? Wow, I didn't know I was in the presence of a STAR."
Was it true? Could she tell him? He didn't know.
"So she, this Alice Odessa, owes you her life? I guess that's what happens in the big leagues," he said, still wrapping the bandage around her arm - how long was this thing?! "You're mighty brave for sacrificing yourself for her, you know. She is one lucky player." Was he saying the right thing? He - surprise - didn't know.
When she complimented his bandage wrapping skills, Lucas..... didn't really know if he should believe her or not. Because to him, it looked as messy as his present-wrapping skills, it just didn't have tape sticking out everywhere. But she said it was pretty good and he was a natural so..... he was taking that with a beam on his face again. Hear that? He was a NATURAL! "Why, thank you, Miss Zoryn," he said, finally coming to the end and tying a huge big knot in place. Like shoelaces. Or ribbons. It wasn't too tight, right?
"I'd say in my, uh....." He cleared his throat. "very professional opinion," Not. "that you're almost done. You just need some ice." Which was her cue because.... he couldn't do that ice spell yet. First year and all.
And yes, they maybe should've done the ice spell first because RICE but now, with the bandage in place, they could add ice directly onto the bandage, right? ..... Was that allowed?
