He'd quickly grown bored, though, what with no actual game going on. He thought about what Quidditch must have been like in it's prime, right here at Hogwarts. It was too bad they didn't value sports as much as he did. He thought the kids here would really enjoy it, but apparently his opinion wasn't the popular one.
Brent opened the doors to the castle and stepped back into the entrance hall. Did he like it here? Sure he did, and he actually preferred Hogwarts over Ilvermorny now. That might have a little something to do with a certain female Slytherin named Miss Skylar Diggory. It was also strange to him that his two schools were merging as one this year. It was odd seeing so many familiar faces but knowing that they were now from a different school, even though they'd once upon a time been his classmates. He lingered in the entrance hall for a little longer, debating on whether he should explore a little more or just head back to the common room.
Melanie didn't often go into the Hogwarts' Great Hall for food, but today was different. She was hoping to run into certain Hogwarts' staff members to see...progress on things. Unfortunately, none of those people were in there when she had checked, and so she grumpily made her way out.
And that's when she saw none other than Brent Westwood. Traitor of sorts, wasn't he? She sneered at him.
"Well if it isn't Hogwarts' champion Brent Westwood?" she asked.
"How are you, boy?" She hoped he lost. Valerie and Kyle had to win, else she be severely disappointed. And no, she didn't feel this was a cruel opinion. Melanie had no qualms. This was the real world, and in the real world, not everyone was cheering you on 24/7. She wouldn't be openly cruel to his face, though. He was a child, and she was an adult. The odds were unfair.
"Liking Hogwarts since you switched over? Hmm?"
The itch she had to go home was strong lately. She hated this place, the weather, the general politeness of the Brits, and the way they over-pronounced every damn 'T' in all their words. It was waaadder, Brits. Not WA-TTER.
/endrant.
Melanie was done with all of this, especially since what she had come here for had been done successfully, as far as she knew.
