"I will not." Timmy glared as he was getting annoyed with this girl and he was just thinking about throwing her into the lake when she suddenly spoke again and well he was sure that he could get her back for this. "Oh great, I'll be your personal assistant." Yeah he would totally make her fail everything and then that would be payback right.

She was so amused, SO AMUSED! He thought he could seriously take her. Didn't he realize one she was older, two she knew spells, and three the minute he laid his hands on her she'd have friends that would tie him up by his shoelaces in the Great Hall.

HMMM

That was a brilliant idea. Maybe she could get this kid to the Great Hall and use her wand to flip him and stick him to the ceiling. It would be great practice for her too. Her thoughts moving to different things she could try. Focus back on the first year she chuckled, "Primary school?" Was this kid for real?

He was really going to be her personal assistant? Did he really think she was born yesterday? "Okay, well it is a tuff job. I have lots going on. My band needs to get ready for a Halloween gig we are going to do, I have books that need carried, my cat could probably use a bath." Her cat didn't need a bath, but why not have him bathe Storm just for the laughing matter that Storm would scratch and give him hell for trying to bath him.

The lake was one of the best places at Hogwarts in Henry's opinion and he wasn't at school long before he made his way out there just to relax. He already had his morning run past the lake and he didn't think it quite warm enough for swimming today. It'd be cool if they could use some boats or something though. He wondered what they did with the first year boats during the school year and he glanced out at the lake with this thought in mind.

He knew it was an unlikely thought though and he kept walking, his attention soon diverted by a squirrel running across the ground and up a tree. Chuckling at how funny the little rodent was, he sauntered over to the tree looking up at it, contemplating for a moment. Yeah, he was going to climb it. It didn't really take him that long to decide.

Miranda was sitting behind her favourite tree to think under when she heard some laughing and footsteps near. She looked round but must have looked the wrong way because she saw nothing.... no one.... but she heard the footsteps getting closer and then stop and then a scrapping noise... What in the sam hill was going on?!... she swivelled her head the opposite direction and there he was.... Henry....
" Hey there, Henry..... "
Honestly she hoped she frightened him as much as he had her... but that was neither here nor there really.....
" Having a climb?..... Just try not to knock any of the smaller branches on me..." She joked with a beaming smile.. " How was the rest of your summer? "

Which meant that it had been at least three or four terms since their last proper discussion. While the thought was in reference to the giant squid, her mind had wandered elsewhere. Something else on her bucket list, rectifying things with Zeke. Although nothing bad had happened between them, no. Just someone had wedged them apart.

Grab...huh?

Spinning around on the spot, her heels digging into the mud beneath her, Paige had JUST enough time to react to the piece of paper sailing on by her on a autumn breeze. And react was all she was able to do as the seventh year lacked the required reflexes to snatch it from the air. From the surface of the water though? THAT she could handle.

"S-Sorry," she apologized, taking a few careful steps towards the floating paper and gingerly plucking it from the water's surface. "Drying Charm ought to do the trick."

Apologetic look about her, Paige began to cautiously make her way back to the shore so as not to slip when she spotted a certain Slytherpuff pair not too terribly far away. Invested interest in the '-puff' part of that pairing especially, Paige would be hard pressed to not continuously keep an eye out on that.

Azura smiled and shook her head as the older girl apologized. "No worries honestly, if I had tried to catch that thing, I would have ended up in the water with the paper. " She explained as the other girl got her sheet music from the water and Azura looked at it sadly..

Poor Mozart.. She thought as she eyed the dripping piece of paper. He had to take a bath when he wasn't even dirty.

She turned her attention back to the older Hufflepuff as she tried to walk up to the shore and Az held her hand out to help her.. She wasn't in the mud, and had a steadier footing on the ground.

"Thank you for getting that for me, the sound would have sounded funny without that page. " She said with a smile.

Henry surveyed the tree for another moment, just to see where he should start climbing. One of the lower branches looked pretty sturdy and he had just reached for it, beginning to pull himself up when he heard someone saying his name. His arms still raised above him as he grasped the branch, he twisted his body as he leaned over to see who was talking to him.

"Oh hey, Miranda." Henry grinned at his younger housemate, vaguely wondering what she was doing there on the other side of the tree. Turning back to the tree, he hoisted himself up onto the lower branch. "I'll try not to," he chuckled, but he was more joking than anything. He didn't think he ever knocked branches off when climbing.

"Yeah, summer was great. Did yours get any better?" He remembered asking her that at the feast but it had been so chaotic that they never really did get the chance to talk. Now was probably a better time.

Randa smiled up at him as she watched him climb up on the lowest bough... " It was alright... not much to talk about I'm afraid...you already know I saw you but that's pretty obvious.." She giggled. " Hey listen ... about that day... I was in a state... My brother Eddie had me all mental... so don't think too badly of me , yeah? " she really was embarrassed of how she'd acted , but then again she couldn't change it.

Thee blonde could not stop giggling and grinning. Why did he always do this to her? She looked down at him. Was he okay? She gently rolled off of his stomach and sit in the grass beside him.

Picking at the blades of grass as he spoke to her. "Reevaluating life?" She had know idea what that meant. But she just kept smiling at him.

"Its huge, right? I know. It takes a while as well because it keeps changing sooooo you might go one way for three weeks and think that's the best way and then next time that way has gone entirely and there's just a stone wall or an empty room where there had been a little corridor before!" It was very exciting really. "The main corridors don't change so much though."

Char stretched her legs out in front of her and slipped her shoes off.

"I like being alone SOMEtimes!" She said with a little giggle. Honestly. Just because she usually was with people it didn't mean a bit of down time wasn't good, "Besides, sitting out here, someone always comes along eventually. So its nice." And look, he had come along and his kitty had come along, and she wasn't alone at all now was she?

"That's a good question though. No dates. Nope. People should hurry up and start asking me, obviously!" Char grabbed the jelly slug packet and held it out to him. "Want some?"

Silas sat beside her, listening. Was she always this lively and excited when she shared her experiences in school? An amused smile played along his lips on how animated she was talking about the mysterious corridors she had encountered. "Are you talking about the infamous room of requirement? Do you know where it is?" he asked. Silas was in search for that magical room for several days now but he still couldn't find it.

"I'm only teasing." Silas chuckled and nodded about her having her own downtime by the lake. He hoped Charlotte didn't take his words into offense. She seemed to have that easy-going nature, hence the teasing. "I'm sure there are plenty who do, didn't I say this to you before. It's just a matter of time." He grinned. "I shall ask you when I win my upcoming match, would that impress you enough to say yes?" he asked and winked. Silas reached for the jelly slugs, "Thank you, yes I do." He popped one into his mouth, chewing while smiling.

Contessa dragged herself down to the Great Lake, plopping down by the tree, leaning against it. She had dropped her schoolbag down next to the spot. She picked up her parchment and quill, dipping it into her inkwell. She swished it a little but soon got distracted by the lake, watching it. She sighed and stared across the waters. Images of what could be under the water played across her mind. She kept swishing her quill into her inkpot as she daydreamed. Her parchment got a little wrinkled every time she moved but she seemed to not notice.

Why was he walking out to the lake? It brought a mixture of good but more recently bad memories. Sighing with his hands in his pockets, Chris trudged outside and looked around to see if he could spot her. He kept walking to their spot and stopped when he saw a figure sitting there.

He paused slightly not sure if he hoped it was her or hoped it wasn't. His feelings were so confusing. But then again he had agreed to give her a chance to woo him and quite frankly he was looking forward to that. Gathering up his courage he kept walking only to realize it wasn't her. " Oh! Sorry...thought you were someone else." He said to the younger girl. Well...now who looked foolish. All worked up over nothing. Hmph.

She about jumped out of her skin at the sound of a voice speaking to her. She knocked over her inkwell, splattering the liquid all over the grass. Contessa frowned and looked up at the older boy. "Now look at what you did! There goes all my ink that I brought with me." She frowned at him and stood up, trying to get the ink that had gotten on her off. "Do you make it a habit to sneak up on people?" She glared.

Cinn-O-Bun 09-09-2016 04:23 AM

His eyes grew wider as she started yelling at him after the ink spilled. Scratch that...she definitely was all worked up over nothing. He had been all set to apologize but instead he crossed his arms. "Do you make it a habit to yell at people over something so silly?" Hmph.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "Ink is expensive and messy! How is that so silly? Now look at my uniform! It has an ink spot on it now..." Though the ink mostly only got the grass but still! Her parents would so send her a holler for this! Contessa sighed and pouted a little. "You shouldn't scare younger people! It is just mean." She eyed him, trying to judge how much older he was. She looked down at her stuff and tried to cleaned up the mess that she had caused. Contessa couldn't save her ink or her parchment but she could save her bag and textbooks. She looked at the big kid again, "Who are you anyways..."

Cinn-O-Bun 09-09-2016 04:33 AM

Chris rolled his eyes at her exaggeration. Wasn't THAT expensive after all. "I have more ink if you need it. And you can get that out easy so just relax." He let her yell because...well she was tiny what was he going to do yell back? He didn't like doing that anyway.

"Well I wasn't trying to scare you...I thought you were someone else. Chris...and you are?" Besides obviously cranky.

She frowned at him rolling his eyes but shook her head. "I am not going to take your ink..." Tessa looked at him. "Ink can easily come out of fabric?" That fact made her calm down real quick. She looked at him, "Do you know how to get it out?" She sighed. "You weren't?" Contessa blushed at her rudeness then. "Oh... well... sorry for screaming at you..." She shifted her weight from side to side and looked up at him. "I am Contessa but my friends call me Tessa for short... and those who want to die call me Connie..." Yep, she wont stand being called Connie. She looked at him and offered her hand to shake.

"Thanks," Paige flushed as she took the girl's hand and hoisted herself on to more stable land. Fishing her wand from her pocket, Paige set the piece of parchment down on a nearby rock and began administering a Drying Charm to it without hesitation. The thought had crossed her mind to siphon the water from the parchment...but part of her feared accidentally removing all the ink at the same time - liquid to liquid - as it HAD happened before during her own practicing and, well, this was not her parchment to destroy.

"It should be alright in another minute or two," she assured the Ravenclaw while using her hands to smooth out the edges so they did not curl up too much. Blue eyes scanning the page, the seventh year somewhat recognized it from the various sheet musics Brian kept about the common room. Somewhat. "Mozart," she murmured with a deceptive sense of affection to her tone. She would not pretend to be an expert when it came to music.

"I'm Paige, by the way, Paige Skeeter," she said as she looked up. "And you're...Azura, right?"

Reevaluating life? Just what was Katerina and her Slytherin companion on about?

"To tell you truthfully we haven't been formally introduced nor do I know you well. Plus you are my senior so basically the respect is right there." He was trying to keeping it cool "But yes..." he nodded "I was intimidated mainly because you are a pretty girl with awesome confidence and it feels like you handle yourself pretty well" he complimented. Yes, it is true. Hadly is one of those independent women. "It's not mainly the badge." Hey some people are just born to be leaders.

He nodded and gave her a thumbs up for what she had done. "Sketching and painting is a nice hobby to have. It's nice to finally meet someone who shares that same interest" he wishes he was just as better but he needs to really practice some more. Most of what he does is odd doodling. He should step up his skills, practice some more like Hady.

Sean started to laugh and at the same time sigh under his breath. This is going to be fun. He is just going to look like an awkward potato in front of her while she draws him. "Yes I should definitely practice my poses even if you will allow me to do it naturally." he was already picturing himself in an awful yet awkward pose and Hady is just trying her best to sketch him. "But yes, this is going to be really fun and interesting. So do you draw your friends as well?"

Normally she wasn't the questioning type. Not like this and not with people she hardly knew. However this badge was something new and it came with many responsibilities. If students were nerves to come to her because of it she wanted to know that. His answer made her smile at first. Not everyone was polite and they wouldn't always care that she was older or Head Girl. "True but not everyone is like that, I do see what you're saying though." And then Sean went on and a small hint of pink spread across her cheeks. This wasn't what she had expected him to say. "Oh, oh well um thank you. I do my best to remain calm and levelheaded in all situations." Like dueling. Lessons. Everything else.

"There's a few of us around here that enjoy it. Sketching is mainly a hobby for me as my passions lay elsewhere but if you practice I bet you'll get even better at it too." Practice makes perfect.

Another small laugh as she shook her hair from her face. "You can pose if you want to. Whatever you feel comfortable with," Hady answered putting her previous sketch away and taking out a blank sheet of parchment and another pencil. Putting the pencil to the parchment she began on some rough outlines and shapes. "Not particularly. I have one that really enjoys it who sat for me a few times last term. There's another that I draw sometimes but mostly from memory...and my family." The twins more often then anything.

She didn't currently mind the teasing but really, why were some people so shy? It was sometimes adorable and sometimes annoying depending on who it was.

Hmmmmm... He thought he needed to impress her?

"Well if you need to wait until you win to be confident enough to ask them sure!" Char said with a little laugh. Her turn to tease. She poked her tongue out at the Hufflepuff boy and ate another jelly slug herself.

Shaking his head to let the water drip off of his hair, Mason hadn't dried himself yet. He knew how but he was too busy trying to think of a way to save that girl from drowning and at the same time not having to touch that mask.

It served her right though. A voice said in his head but he ignored it. He was a good person unlike her Taking out his wand, the Ravenclaw pointed it at the girl and shouted "Carpe Retractum"! a rope shot out of his wand, circled and tied itself and fell down around Leesha. Hopefully... "IS THE ROPE AROUND YOU? I'LL PULL YOU OUT IF IT IS!" he shouted.

"Stupid, stupid, STUPID mask!" She cursed over and over, still trying to get it away from her face but she didn't wanted to pull too hard because of her wet hair! Then she felt it, something fell around her trashing body, was it a rope? Yes! Mason told her that he had made a rope so he wasn't going to let her drawn? Hmm, he wasn't that bad after all, not that she would forgive him soon for pulling her into the water! Bleh!

Grabbing the rope she raised her voice, "PULL ME OUT OF THE WATER!" She coughed while gulping some water and she spat it out, to realize too late that the water wasn't getting anywhere because of that stupid mask and now she had her own spit on her face! Great! Her day started good today! All because that STUPID boy wasn't able to respond normal to a very innocent joke with a clown mask.. Sigh.

He watched her and nodded, "Apology accepted." Seee...wasn't so bad if you weren't freaking out. He took her hand and shook it. Admittedly half tempted to call her Connie just to see what would happen. Oh well, best not to make the new blood mad. "Nice to meet you Contessa."

Hopefully what he says doesn't offend her in anyway. It was a rather hard question. "Well I can't speak for everybody, Hady." he smiled. Everyone has their own reasons and Sean may not be all right about it. To him it may be one thing but for the rest of the students it could be another thing. He looked at her when he saw he blushed a bit but he tried not to mind it. You know, to not make things awkward. They just became acquaintances. "How do the head boy and head girl do it right? Be levelhead and calm in a situation that isn't calm at all" he asked. "I couldn't even focus at the feast because I was starving and I know I wasn't the only one. But you were too casual and was giving a lot of smiles to everyone." he gave a light applause.

His eyes blinked. He never knew that there were a bunch of people who likes sketching or painting. "That's great. It's nice to meet them and exchange notes about what to do and not to do." he smiled and nodded. "I should step up my sketching skills."

Good she was laughing. That is a great sign and Sean just feels better everytime that happens. Sean is not the best when making people laugh so this is good. "I feel pressured, Hady." he nudged her elbow softly "But yes I will be super comfortable" or so he thinks. He sat a in front of her so they could talk more casually rather than him standing up. "Oh... Did he/she graduated?" he assumed. "That's good. When you graduate you should start an art exhibit. Put all of your sketches in it. I'd go to that." because, why not.

Sigh.

The rope was around her wasn't it? Judging by her screaming it was and that meant that the girl was save from drowning. Wand still pointed at her to maintain he rope, Mason focused on the spell but then thought of something else.

Instead of pulling her to dry land, the Ravenclaw decided to teach her a little lesson to not mess with him again and so he did NOT pull her in. "Apologise" he said calmly but loud enough so that she could hear it. "Apologise and i'll pull you out, if you don't i'll leave and you can swim to land yourself" yeah. He had not appreciated the prank. He was okay with pranks in general but not when someone pranked him with his greatest fear. Even if Leesha had not known that.

Well? What was it gonna be?

What a lovely day. After getting settled into her dorm and getting ready for classes, Niomi needed a break. She decided she would go to the lake, her favorite down-time spot, and write a letter to her younger sisters, Sophie and Tahlia. Gathering her brand new parchment and ink pen, she bought in Diagon Ally a few weeks ago, she headed towards the lake.

The great lake was rather quiet, compared to the Hogwarts buildings, and Niomi loved it. Having a place were not a lot of people to no one would bother her. Looking around, she took the beauty the great lake had to offer. Without realizing it, she came to a spot and a small smile fell upon her face. This would be a good spot, she thought to herself. Before she sat down, she saw movement on the side of her eye. The movement was from a boy nearby. Niomi recognized a familiar face, Colt. He got up from the blanket to get something out of this bag. A stick? What was that for? A muggle thing? Niomi didn't know much about the muggle world.

With a change of mind, she held her parchment and ink pen closer in her hands and headed towards him. When she arrived, near his blanket, and spoke up not wanting to startle him, "Hi Colt." She felt herself blush. Hopefully she could stop blushing before he looked at her and noticed.

As Colt was throwing and catching the ball with his lacrosse stick, he saw a girl was plopped on his blanket. He rolled his eyes and expected it to be Dora because she had a knack for that sort of thing. "Look Dor--" he stopped because it wasn't her. "Oh hey Niomi." he greeted her with a small smile. He placed his stick down on the ground and sat on the blanket with her. "Long time no see.." They only saw each other at the feast which was chaotic in itself with the gryffindors causing trouble. "What brings you out here? I mean I know it wasn't to see me.." he winked. I mean it could have been you never know.

Azura smiled warmly up at the older girl as she helped her onto more stable land. "You are welcome. " Azura knew what it was like to not be stable, she was as clumsy as they came and really, she would have appreciated help up, so that's what she did.. Maybe if you treated others how you wanted to be treated.. Their life would be better. And that was all that mattered.

Azura carefully followed the older girl as she set her paper down on the Rock and watched as she used the drying charm. "Thanks again. " Azura said as she watched the Hufflepuff smooth down the edges to keep the paper straight and not curl. A smile curled the edges of Az's lips as she watched her take such good care of her precious sheet music.

"Mmm, Mozart. One of his many sonatas, I was looking through them to see if I liked any of them to play.. But I'm not sure. " She said with a bit of a shrug, song choice for audition was so important. And would she really impress anyone with Mozart?

She wasn't sure.

*sigh*

"Yeah, I'm Azura Snow. It's really nice to meet you Paige. I saw you at the feast I think? "

Where was he waiting for? He needed to pull her back so that she could get out of the water! She REALLY had started to hate this water and she wanted to pull on some dry clothes! Oh, and she needed a shower! Yes, a nice warm shower and she wanted to smell like her own soap again and not like the dirt in this like! But WHAAAT? What was Mason yelling at her? Did she heard him right? Was he asking HER to apologize? But she had done NOTHING wrong! Yes, it was a joke, her joke but HE had pulled her into the water!

"Apologize yourself!" She yelled back, "You're the one who pulled me into the water and who overreacted because of such a simple and innocent joke like mine! She knew that her voice sounded muffled because of the mask but she didn't care, he was perfectly able to hear her, she was sure of that! But then she suddenly thought about something. She was a Slytherin and not just a stupid little crybaby who needed to be saved, she already had a robe around her and that was all what she needed!

She grabbed the robe with both her hands while only swimming with her legs and she pulled onto the robe and she pulled herself closer to the land, not caring if she pulled Mason back into the water while pulling herself toward him with HIS robe!
