Oppps Kat was almost late for dinner she had been studying some plants that she had found on the grounds and took up to the tree house to research them. It was getting late when she realized that it was almost dinner time. She just grabbed all of her things up and jumped out of tree house. She could not be late dinner.

In her rush to get back inside in time for dinner she was leaving a trail of her plants and flowers from the front door.to the great hall. She hadn't noticed it yet. She looked down and noticed she needs to tie her shoes. Oppps she sat down her plants and stopped to tie them. She didn't want to trip over them heading to the table. That would be very embarrassing.

Oooh. A flower. Cornelius picked it up simply because it was random to find a flower in the middle of an empty corridor. Everyone must be at dinner while he was........the boy glanced down at himself. His white button shirt was slightly un-tucked, his green and silver tie hung loose around his neck and he could feel the weight of his curls a tousled about. If his mum was here she'd have a freak out moment and rush to fix him up. But that had been a great nap and Cornelius regretted nothing.

And guess what? Ma' wasn't here so he was going to walk around like a handsome mess.

Taking another step he noticed a few leaves. He picked those up; just like the flower, it was silly for them to be lying around in the empty corridor. Another step and he found petals. He scratched the back of his hair as he lifted his gaze. A nature trail get it?. So in his still half sleepy state, the boy picked up all of the flowers and plants until he arrived at the Great Hall. The smell of food wafted into his nostrils and it was as if he was re-energize.

The corner of his mouth lifted into a crooked smile as the trail ended, momentarily forgetting about the smell of food or that he was still sleepy, when his green eyes spotted the pot of gold in the form of a tiny Hufflepuff princess.

He crouched beside her, a little bouquet of flowers and plants still in his hand. "So this is where the trail leads to." Hi, Katerina.

Kat had still unknowingly left the trail of flowers, so the second year didn't know a thing about Cornelius or his trail following. She busily tying her shoes.Her mind was more concerned about the food in the room in front of her. She was late at this point now and she didn't care. She was close enough that she should get her food now. But food it was so closer. She reached down to grab her flowers (what was left of them), and found a hand. She blinked and looked quickly when she heard a voice.

Curly's voice. She beamed, but she was hit with confusion. "trail? What trail?" grinned, Hi Curly! She Was she missing something? She glanced around on the floor, they were both knelt down near the floor. maybe it was a trail of ants leaving going into the great hall. Or something like that. But nope no ants around. She looked back at the slytherin who looked a bit.... unpolished? Not his normal school boy look. He kind of looked like a really cute bad boy. Giggle giggle She gave him a explain what you are talking about look?

What trail?

Cornelius chuckled. She had no idea what he was talking about. Did she even realize she had left a trail behind? Probably not. He poked her cheek.

"You dropped these all over the corridor, Katty!Kat," he said, waving the small bundle of flowers and plants in his grasp. "Didn't know they were yours, of course, but they led me here to you." How funny was that? Like in those films Peyton watches and cries at the end because of the happy ending.

WHY DID HE ALWAYS HAVE TO POKE HER?

He always poked her. Like all of the time. She touched her cheek where he poked. Blinking up at him, Why? She poked him back playfully. Poke poke.

Her blue eyes looked down at the flowers in her hand. Merlin. They had thinned themselves out. She couldn't help but to grin hearing Katty!Kat. She loved it. Oh no, she'd dropped over half of them. "Oh thanks, Cornelius." Grinning she took the flowers and added them to what she still ha left. "Are you late to dinner to then?" Storing away the plants in her bag now so she wouldn't lose them again. If he was going to dinner now too. Maybe they could sit together and eat.

HE LIKED TO TEASE HER OKAY???

She was one of his favorite people therefore he had to show it SOMEHOW. Pokes usually did it. They were light and fun and sometimes tickled.

Cornelius chuckled at her poke and stood up, offering his hand to her out of habit. Born and raised gentleman, y'know?

"Yeeeep," he nodded, his curls bouncing off his forehead. "Took the best nap in ages until my stomach woke me up." More like tried to eat him alive from inside out. "Why're you late?" he casually asked, his eyes landing on the Slytherin table.

Yep. They were having dinner there.

Torie stumbled through the Great Hall not really paying close attention to where he was going but his dull, blank eyes definitely searching for something. Gold he mumbled as he jerked a little as he stumbled forward slowly. Torie find gold he mumbled looking for anything shiny. Whether it be a necklace someone was wearing or a ring on their fingers or bracelet on their wrist.

Hady entered the Great Hall nearly silently. Her whole intent this morning was to get on over to her house table, grab a quick bite to eat and then head on up to the music room for some drumming practice. A fairly easy morning if one should ask. It didn't appear to be much to drastic in anyway.

Pushing her long brunette hair off her face she quickly glanced around. It was in that briefest of seconds that someone bumped into her. It wasn't hard really but it was the fact that it had caught her off guard making her stumble ever so slightly for just a moment. Instantly her hazel eyes fell upon the younger boy that had stumbled into her. He uh...looked somewhat off. Distant. Maybe he wasn't feeling well?

Not sure what the kid was mumbling about Hady shifted to fully face him. "Hey, um are you alright there?"

He hadn't even stopped when he bumped into the girl, just kept slowly stumbling forward his dull, blank eyes searching for gold. "Gold..." he mumbled in response to the girl who asked if he was alright. He needed his gold! "GOLD!" he mumbled as she faced him. He could see it! It was around her neck! "GOLD!" mumbled again his hands reaching to get her necklace.

"Need gold!" He stumbled forward again reaching for the necklace.

Huh? What was he talking about?

Hadleigh stared at the kid questioningly for a brief moment. Had he said something about gold? What about it. She didn't have any gold on her- oh! Oh, no no! Yes her jewelry was gold but she wasn't giving it over. Not to him. Not to anyone actually.

Instinctively she took a step backwards still eying the boy. "Not gonna happen kid," she answered simply lightly brushing Torie's arm away from her as he move closer. "However maybe if you happened to tell me what you need 'gold' for we could figure something out." Not that she would be giving him anything of hers for any reason. Sorry not sorry there kid.

Sora was just gonna head into the great hall to get something to eat. Though she could summon a house-elf to her office, but she needed to leave her office for a while, get some fresh air and maybe look around the castle.

Entering the great hall, the divination professor spotted two students... arguing? She didn't know, but there was something amiss happened between them. From watch she observed, the boy looked weird and seemed like he wanted to rob the girl.... Eh? She quickly walked towards both of them. "Miss Lynch, what's going on here?" She asked the Slytherin girl.

She really doesn't mind it at all, no matter she said otherwise. Especially getting a chance to poke him back. Hehe. Curly was the best. She could just squish her curly headed Slytherin friend forever.

She took his hand and stood up. He got that big squish that she was thinking about too. Squish, squish. She giggled as Curly told her about why he was late for dinner. POKE POKE. hehe She was now poking him in the stomach. "You can eat soon." hehe

She was late too. "Research. I was studying these plants and flowers." Hold up the bouquet that he had help her pick up. She didn't let go of his hand yet. [b]"Are heading to your table now?" She asked with a grin, she'd join him of he wanted her to.

Torie still wasn't really taking in anything she was saying, he was just focused on that necklace. "Must have gold" he mumbled in the dull voice. His eyes were only focused on the necklace not on her face nor the professor when she appeared. His hand still reached out even after she brushed his hand away "Gold" he repeated again.

Nothing was going to deter him away from his gold. He had to bring it to the forest, the lullaby told him that.

Hadleigh stared at the boy in return only her hazel eyes weren't dull and lifeless like his. Clearly something wasn't right here but the sixth year had no idea what was happening. It could be a joke or a prank but if that was so it was a very stupid one. She didn't feel that was the case however being as the kid probably would've given up, laughed or at the very least cracked a smile by now. Torie's mumbled ramblings, continuing to move towards her and ignoring her questions was a pain but she was somewhat used to difficult matters. He was a strange puzzle to figure out.

"Look I don't know what you're on abo-," Hady started taking another step backwards not wanting to end up smacking the boys hands away since pushing his hands away hadn't worked. A voice speaking her name stopped her mid-sentence and she let out a breath of relief seeing Professor Yoon walking towards them. "I'm not entirely sure Professor but he's muttering about gold or something. He won't answer me when I ask what he's talking about..." Confused was what she was. "I think there's something wrong. Maybe a potion or he was cursed or something?" Just look at the way he was moving. Not right.

She almost thought that this was an act of crime since Torie Yenorin kept asking about gold and he had his eyes on Hady's gold necklace, but it wasn't. Listening to the Slytherin girl's explanation about her concern, the divination Professor observed him for a while.

Delirious, mumbling speech, funny gesture, Hmmm....

"Yeah, I'm afraid that he was under a curse or something else." She spoke up. She wasn't sure exactly what caused Torie to act like this, but perhaps the healer would know. "I think we should bring him to the hospital wing."

His dull eyes were still focused on the gold necklace and trying to take it. It was just out of his reach. He stumbled forward again not even noticing their talking, too focused on the shiny in front of him. "Must have gold!" he insisted in the dull monotone voice. The only thing he cared about was getting the gold that he needed. His hands reached out more trying to get the necklace. "GOLD....must have gold."

The hospital Wing. Hadleigh fully agreed with this statement right here. Heading nodding was happening quickly as she glanced at the Professor Yoon and then back at the boy. "It should be easy enough to get him to follow me."

Since the kid wanted gold which she was wearing in the form of a necklace around her neck she would just use that. It would be much easier and safer then casting a charm on him or something. "Alright, come on then. Follow me if you want the gold..." she told Torie softly as she turned to walk away reaching a hand back to gently grip the sleeve of his robes to make him come along. See the shiny gold. Follow the shiny gold. Yup follow the gold all the way to the Healer.

"Do you think whatever happened to him was done on purpose, Professor?" Curious question right here. Maybe the boy had somehow cursed himself?

His dull eyes followed her as she turned walking away but his eyes were only on the necklace even as she gripped his sleeve. He was following her wherever she led him, he needed that gold! He was determined to get the gold and was now going where she led him. His hand still reaching out trying to get the necklace. Nothing was going to deter him from getting his gold!

Not even the voices of the girl or professor was getting through to him. His feet just slowly followed stumbling one foot after the other as he reached for the necklace.

Well Sky had given had finished giving Xeno a tour of the castle - almost - and she totally was starved! Plus even though she told him where she was sorted , explaining her nervous self in the entrance hall before she knew what her destiny would be for the next seven years, Sky never actually took her pet inside the great hall. It was almost as if she knew she would be starved by the end of her walk.

"Well this is it, Xeno. My home for the next six and a half years. Here's where we eat all our meals and have feasts ... There's four long tables where everyone sits according to their house, represented by the banners hovering from the ceiling. And then we'll, you don't have to eat with your house but it think most people do... The staff watches over us up there and well right in front of that horizontal table... That's where I became a Slytherin."

She paused reflecting a moment.

"No wait ... Technically I didn't become a Slytherin because I guess it was always within me, but it where officially we were told what house we would be in."

Yup. Made perfect sense. Now can they eat yet? The first year made her way over to her house table, scooping some mashed potatoes and Shepard Pie onto her plate... "First we say thanks, then we dig in."
