This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below.
Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

A referee (either Professor Airey or Professor Hirsch) will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.
OOC: This duel must be completed by the 12th of March by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out.
Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.
Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.

Oh, Olivia was READEH FREDDEH!!! ROUND TWO?! YAS!! After winning that first duel, she'd felt pretty confident about herself and her chances in the tournament........Okay, so, that wasn't completely true. She'd apparently frightened Katherine Moss with her fire spell...and that had made her feel a little sad and disappointed, as none of this was meant to be upsetting FOR REALS...real. Just in the dueling ring, you know? Katherine had ran out screaming, though. To be honest, it had been super dramatic...but in the end, Liv could only admire her panache and dramatic flair. #props
Bounding into the arena, the tiny blonde double checked her dueling gear and then carefully twirled into the ring.....Uh, it would've been nice to FIRST see just WHO she was facing, but none of THAT mattered, right? Whoever it was, the goal would be to WIN......just like her daddy had said!
........OH SNAP! IT WAS HER COUSIN!.....Not the Phillip one, who she was SO VERY ANGRY AT...but the Kat one. "HAI, KATTY!" Did Kat see Olivia flail!waving at her?! No hard feelings, right?!...Well, hopefully not, because Liv was about to kick her butt. YEP. IT WAS GOING DOWN!
Now, to get this PARTAY STARTED......she'd actually been practicing with her friendsie Char, since that fire spell, from her last duel, had been a panicked response, and if Liv was going to win and be......ruthless, like her dad had told her to, she'd need to know things. So, there had been lots of practicing and reading very boring books about spells....So. Much. Reading. SUCH BORING. MUCH NOT!Wow.
Okay, well...
Char would've expected her to use the trick...How had it gone again? Racking her brain, it suddenly emerged from her thoughts like a BRIGHT beacon of HOPE, and Liv excitedly sprang into action, turning her wand onto herself! It was meant to make maneuvering easier...or so she'd been told. ....and yea, she quite suddenly did feel a bit lighter on her feet. Hehe, she actually felt BUOYANT. It was weird. So, strange and weird that she actually giggled out loud. EEP!!
The incantation for the fur spell came next and the bouncy Gryffindor implemented some of her dancer's grace and fluidity in slinging the spells at her CUZO! WOOHOO. She even wiggled her bum a little; almost busting out in a dance. DUEL NOW, LIV......DANCE LATER.
This was actually so fun....

Kat's second duel. She couldn't be anymore excited about it than she was right now. Winning her first one had really boosted her confidence. Ariadne was a tough opponent never the less. Since that win though she had a place in the library where she had been studying spells and such. There were so many spells she was ready to try out today. She hoped her opponent was ready to be her guinea pig. She had been up in the library right up to the time it was almost time for her duel.
Heading into the arena to meet her next victim opponent. Her jaw dropped...... LIVY. She was going to be duel Olivia! Haha Merlin this was going to be epic. Did anyone even say epic anymore? She didn't care at the moment. Grinning sheepishly at the cousin. "Hiya Livy." Don't think that just because they were family Katerina was going to take it easy on her. NOPE.
Livy must have been ready to get things started, she noted what Liv had used on herself. And one she already throwing her a spell. Kat wasn't sure what Liv had just casted her way. But there was no way Kat was going to let herself get hit by the first thing that got thrown at her. "Protego!" Shielding herself rather then defecting it back to Liv.
What a awful to lose. But her counter attack what was she going to do. What to do she was going to have to react quickly. Mmmmm ah. She had it. Hehe. This would be good if it worked. The girl that Cornelius was dueling tried it on her Curly. "Colloshoo!" Olivia Lynn might have made herself lighter but that wasn't going to do her any good if her shoes were stuck to the floor. Bahaha.

No, no, NO! WHY HAD KATTY DEFLECTED HER FUR SPELL?! "I'M TRYING TO MAKE YOU MORE ADORABLE, KAT!" Her cousin had seen Gus, right? With his GORGEOUS WHITE FLUFF AND SPARKLY BLACK EYES...Totes more adorable than half the people at Hogwarts, in her HONEST opinion!
...BUT THAT WAS ACTUALLY REALLY GREAT, because her also!blonde cousin had inadvertently reminded her that PROTEGO existed. See, in the heat of battle like this, she tended to forget protective spells. Yep, Liv definitely bounced towards the more AGGRESSIVE side of things. Just like her dad had instructed. BEST DAD EVER, right?!
But, yea, THANK YOU KATTY! TOTES HELPFUL FAM ALERT! However, instead of going the way the other girl had, Olivia was choosing to deflect whatever that spell had been ( smol blonde was totally a FAIL at identifying magic based on wand movements and incantations alone) right back at her cousin's smug face. Oh, yea! Liv definitely knew her cozo was probably thinking she'd get an easy win off her, but PSH. PSHSHSHS.
WHAT DO WE SAY TO DEFEAT? NOT. TODAY, HUFFLEPUFF, PERSON! NOT. TODAY.

Kat could distantly hear her name in the stands. *gulp* Turning her head ever so slightly to see who was cheering for her. Merlin, it was Curly. She grinned and gave him a little wave.
Anyway, back to the duel at hand.

Livy's shoes was supposed to be stuck to the floor and they wasn't! Why? "I'm not an animal, OLIVIA!" This was absolutely ridiculous. She should be winning this. Who was winning this anyway.? No no, Kat pay attention. PAY ATTENTION. Her blue eyes glanced up only up see a her spell coming back at her.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh." Raising her wand to defend herself. There was no way she was going to let herself get hit by her on spell. "Pro...." Ah. Not getting the shield up quick enough. She'd been hit. SHE'D BEEN HIT! Also her shoes were stuck to the floor. Her spell had worked! Just been defected back to her.
Great! She was stuck to the floor or was she? She wiggled her toes inside her shoes then wiggled her feet out of shoes.
HA! She was freeeeeeeeeee!
She wasn't going to give up that easily. No she was a Delgado they didn't give up. So this was the way it was going to be. Fine two can play like that. No more nice Miss Hufflepuff. Miss Livy wanted to dance and so she shall. "Tarantallegra!" She said fiercely. Please please please Livy start dancing. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TOO!

So busy was she dancing around and wiggling her bum that she COMPLETELY missed the outcome of that last spell. HAD IT CONNECTED!? Liv couldn't even pretend to know as she was doing something especially Gryffindor, naturally: twirling and dancing around...because ballerina Olivia Phillips could hardly be contained, let's just be honest here.
.....and yep, that's when it'd happened! SHE'D BEEN HIT! AHHHH! Such drama. Very theatric. HER LEGS! ACK! They were burning up the floor with their insistently quick movement and Liv, though she was adjusted to this type of grueling dance regimen....Well, she'd been DUELING, BRO!....Smol blond was getting tired. EEEP.
This was THE END! THE LIGHTS WERE FADING. END SCENE...... CURTAIN CALL......
Hehe, okay, maybe NOT....but....HER LEGS! BLAST YOU, KATTY. She'd totally get her back with something equally as nasty. Lol, not that a dancing spell was nasty, but you had a Gryffindor girl right here that refused to lose, man. WHAT WAS ONE TO DO?! SHE COULDN'T GIVE UP! NOT. AN. OPTION. So, there was much concentration, probably for the first time during the duel. It was almost time, right?! Well, If Lions knew how to do one thing...it was FINISH STRONG. Okay, she didn't actually know that...but they were a persistent bunch. So...it stood to reason, okay?! She was super persistent, anyway.
NEVAH GIVE UP! NEVAH SURRENDER!

Was it just him or was there a lot of energy in this duel?
Not that the man minded but it was something to take note of.
He watched curiously as the two swapped spell after spell, not even showing the smallest signs of tiring after this. Were some of the older kids watching this? There was a lot to learn about energy from this little duel between the first years. His eyes flew between them and then over at someone in the stands who was making his cheering very vocal. Who..........?
Before he could try and figure out who that head of hair belonged to, the time was up and so, the magical shield went up. He moved on over towards them and took away any effects from the most recent spells that had been cast. You're welcome. "You're a very energetic pair, ladies. Very energetic. Keep it up!"
As for the winner...... "Well done on putting up a good fight, Miss Phillips, but the title of the winner of this duel goes to you, Miss Delgado. Congratulations!" And they were free to go to lunch, if they wish.
