The Lions sit under a beautiful scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional feast speech. To all Gryffindors, both new and old: enjoy the feast!
"Life is not fair, Miss Jenkins," the professor informed the girl, his tone not exactly belittling but not the most encouraging either. "I suggest you invest yourself in a helmet and buckle up, your seven years at Hogwarts will be a bumpy ride."
Alright, now his tone was light and....airy.
"You may ask an older student to teach you if you wish. I am sure Miss Messer or Mr. Hyland would be more than willing to assist you." He quickly glance towards the Head Boy and prefect with a quick wink.
Her family had warned her that not all adults were like them and she was starting to see their point.
This one was GRUMPY!!
And what on earth did she need a helmet for? "No offence Sir, but I am a Gryffindor and we don't NEED protection from life's little bumps." She would face them head on and battle her way through.
LION PRIDE!!
But she would take any help she could get. Trixie BEAMED at her Head of House. "Thanks Professor, you're a true gem!"

Face expressionless but his jaw clenched, Yoongi walked towards the two before standing beside them. “I heard you , Sir. I can help her out, I don’t think they deserves help but I will” Just a honest opinion of the Head Boy they had aimed for, had the man not seen that? oh no wait, he had been unconscious! Merlin's Beard....
He turned to Trixie, looking at her picking up food with her hands and resisted rolling his eyes. “I’ll teach you two spells that come in handy now, if you don't want my help say so now and i'll get Candice” he said without a smile but his tone was definitely softer now. He couldn't stay mad forever, he knew they were just having fun but that fun was at the cost of him and he would not forget that. "Take out your wand"
Ooooh House elves! Poor creatures. They had made this food with their hard work and it got ruined because SOME OF THEM decided to ‘have some fun’ ugh.
Before Trixie could go and ask Prefect Candice for some help, the Head Boy himself was standing beside her and offering her his help. Her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree at the thought of being able to do some magic. "Oh no, you can help me." Even though it sounded as though he would rather stick his wand up her nose.
And at his order, Trixie immediately took out her wand and held it up like a sword. "Okay I'm ready!" She bounced up and down on her toes in anticipation.
If she wasn't about to be taught some magic, Trixie probably would have run over to the elves and give them all a big HUG. But MAGIC! She was about to do MAGIC!

Bullying? Why was it that everytime the boy stood for something he believed in, it was suddenly bullying? Who could he honestly bully? He was barely 5 ft tall and they ALL knew magic. Norah even offered him chocolate. It was just Yoongi who decided to have a major malfunction--that his quill had no doubt made into an exaggerated affair.
His brows furrowed in obvious protest but before any words could come out his cousin was suggesting otherwise. It was just as well. The Professor didn't understand and it wasn't likely he'd start seeing things their way any time soon.
It really was the only way. Professors--annoyingly rational creatures that they were--were usually more apt to believe the older students with badges. They wouldn't have remedied the situation so he and Bentley had to and he would stick to it even...even with the office meeting.....and...and....an owl to his parents. Oh Merlin. Dead man walking, that's what he officially was.
The invitation to have some none soggy food was all the excuse he needed to turn away from the man. No throwing. He was actually hungry.

The food fight with Vince happened on twitter XD <3
Toto * RotiSila * ToRo * Braveheart * Grandma & Mama Tori
Okay. So…. Marsha Hanover wasn’t completely innocent in terms of this food fight. She hadn’t started it and had by no means been the most active in it - but she had had a small food fight with Vince Krum and some mashed potatoes and broccoli… even if he had ducked the food and she had ended up with it in her hair.
… Sigh.
And she had been trying not to let AJ see when she had remembered her wand nd cleaned herself up.. Only to be caught with sailing liquids AND more flying mash. What was this? Children’s hour?
Sighsigh.
Marsha really didn’t want to get into trouble so early - so she had sat, trying not to get even MORE food on her clothes. Didn’t they know that she was trying to look nice and NOT have gravy and tatties in her hair. Honestly.
Sighsighsigh.
Being little apparently had its uses FINALLY as she simply kept low to the table and hidden from the food fight. …. Until Professor Flamsteed came over and yelled at them. She frowned, pouting a little bit as they lost 100 points for this idiotic display… and what was it even for? Did anyone know, ‘cause it better be something worth putting them SO far behind before the first day of school had even started. Honestly, didn’t they know they had a legacy to protect?
Sighing loudly and rolling her eyes as they all started to work together to tidy up the Hall, she stood and took out her wand. Happy to be back at school so that she could actually use magic… no way would she have had the time or the patience to clean THIS room without it. However, as it was she stood up and started to use a mix of ’sourgify’ and ’tergeo’ to clean up the food and liquids that had been … redistributed around the table.
Unhappily, she picked up a sandwich with one hand and kept cleaning with the other. What a rubbish start to her third year. Just sayin’.
Tinka appeared, little elfsy ears twitching. She was looking around for the man who had sent the Patronus in the first place! There he was! Her hands flap flap flapped as she wave wave waved at him. "Sir! Sir!" Little elfsy hands pulled geeeently on his trousers. She wave wave waved her little hands again so he would come closer.
"Sir" she squeaked. "Tinka knows sir had bad evening so Tinka prepared nice calming tea for sir up in his office." Tea, warm milk, and a few cookies.

OH NO WHAT WAS GOING ON NOW!!
Oh its just Flamsteed....AN ANGRY FLAMSTEED!! He looked over at everyone at the table he had never seen Flamsteed angry and this right here frightened him...
100 POINTS!!! WHAT the semester hadn't even started!!! He frowned just his luck.
He got up dried himself off with his wand and walked over to Arista, "Hey babe." He wrapped an arm around her, what in the heck did he miss when he was scarfing down his food. He planted a kiss on her cheek before looking around at the mess..."Well maybe I should start helping with this cleaning thing..." He grabbed hold of his wand once more and pointed at some juice near Arista and said "Scourgify!"

Maybe when he's done, he'll ask Thomas and Arista where the Hospital wing was to get something to tak before he gotten to bad. "Hope are you ok, not getting sick or anything? "Spencer asked her.

WHATT!! Arista eye's bulged out of her face and her mouth dropped, what in the world! Merlin's beard she so did not have a tone. "I did not have a tone I just asked a question!" Suddenly realising that it probably wasn't good for the girl to go on and mess with the situation further because really the Professor was already so mad!! She resisted the urge and took a breath and turned to look at her boyfriend who in all the madness though it was appropriate to come over to her and throw his arm on her. She rolled her eyes about the loss of points and glared she soo did not have a tone. Ridiculous..At least it was only five points, hearing Flamsteed speak again she looked over at him trying but ultimately failing at not glaring at him. Humph!
She shrugged Thomas' arm off of her and smiled over at Spencer taking out her wand she preformed the hot air charm on Spencer as well as Hope just in case because Spencer did have a point she didn't want either of them getting sick. She scourgified the pile Spencer had created before saying, "If you have your wand you could cast Scourgify, it is pronounced SKUR-ji-fy and the wand movement is just an S. Or you can use Tergeo the wand movement is simple just point and say the spell. Let me know if you need any help with it." She grimaced as she cast another Scourgify at a nearby soggy roll.

Flexibility and willingness to sacrifice for the greater good? Amur just sort of stared and blinked at the Professor, gooby-gop-slop dripping off her hand. Her gaze went slowly to Blaise, who was still standing about in range of Flamsteed's wrath, back to the Professor and then back again. More like 'one student'. Blaise hardly seemed like the 'greater good', even though he had a decent enough heart.
And a whackload of Gryffindor courage. He got brownie points for her for his confession. For owning up and NOT trying to disappear. Kid had guts. Flamsteed HAD to give him that. Right? RIIIIGGGHHHTT?
Apparently not. Amur's brow knitted together in a tight knot. Her lips pursed together as she watched the cub lion and the Head of House, trying to slot the words and exchange in places that made sense. Was it really bullying? The Prefects and Heads could have taken it in fun, but then they were the main targets of a slaughter attack. That was sort of the definition, wasn't it?
Still, Blaise was being a MAN-CHILD and owning up. And it wasn't like he had a horrid reason either. Surely the Professor could see that. Surely he would find out what it was the Prefects had said that had caused such a reaction.
But then, there was that little bit of slighting not being reason for retaliation.
Amur shifted her weight, and for ONCE, for ONCE the appearance of the elves did little to lift her suddenly conflicted spirits. Would Flamsteed not have defended his own if he thought their honor was at stake? Perhaps in a different manner. Perhaps, at a different time.
Adult logic. Why did it have to almost-always go and make sense.
With a huff of sudden obligation onset, or perhaps that was called a conscience, Amur looked back to Flamsteed. Her voice came out a bit meeker than she had intended it to. "Professor, I took part as well." One attempted danish dusting guilty. "Though people really shouldn't point wands unless they intended to USE them."
Not that she wanted to get in trouble. Not at all. Heck, she had been conflicted in even joining, but then there was wand pointing and just...how could she not get involved? A couple of soggy rolls got the dump on another plate. Maybe a pointed glance at Hyland. Followed up by a broccoli and a rather confusing THING of ....brown, green and pink?
Not asking, just putting DOWN.

Then Callum spoke to her, who seemed instantly very popular. But maybe that was because his sister was already a Gryffindor? "Good! it's nice to meet you, Callum!" Alice was all smiles, making friends was the thing she'd been looking forward to the most about school. "Do you like climbing trees?" Because that's what she wanted to do once she could walk the grounds, climb a tree and find some friends to do so with.
Callum smiled. "Nice to meet you, too, Alice." Her energy reminded him a lot of Char's, even down to the question she posed to him, which made him laugh a bit. "Yeah, I do. I like being outside more than anything." He was game for just about any outdoor adventures. There had never been an activity he had been invited to join yet that he had turned down, so if this girl was looking for a companion to adventure with, he was absolutely game.
That was, unless he was already off on a great adventure with his sister, cousins, or their friends, which was a huge possibility.

OH SWEET SOLSTICE WOULD YOU LOOK AT THOSE?!
"That certainly is a fine example of crystallization process of Cu5FeS4 in the orthorhombic system," he said in awe. "Certainly an impressive collection, Mr. Kettleburn. Impressive indeed, and your black opals are quite striking, don't you agree, Pebbles?" He paused to give his pet rock an impressed look before looking back to the Gryffindor. "My office door is always open for visitors, unless you would like to meet else where. The astrophysics laboratory, for example."
...Merlin's beard.
The moment the phrase "crystallization process of Cu5FeS4 in the orthorhombic system" crossed the professor's lips, Callum Kettleburn's eyes widened, his mouth dropped open slightly, and there was apparent joy that tugged both his eyebrows and the corners of his mouth upward. This was... this was HIS kind of person! Yes, his family had always helped him indulge in his interest in geology, but this man before him was spewing off scientific jargon like it was second nature, and Callum's heart grew twelve sizes. Twelve.
And the professor already knew his name.
"Thank you, sir," he responded rather timidly, his eyes still dancing with delight and admiration. "That would be wonderful." He wanted to ask when and try to schedule it out, but he was too awestruck and overwhelmed to say any more to him at the moment, so Callum pocketed his rocks, offered the man a final smile and a nod, and headed back to join Char, helping himself to one of the house elf's sandwiches along the way.

Sir. Sweet solstice.
Although he supposed he could gut the house elves a bit of slack this evening. They had just had their entire feast ruined by students and...er...ahem...himself. Ahem.
"Ah, thank you Tinka," he smiled. "Earl grey. Hot. I presume." Just the way he liked it. And he, of course, would never turn down baked goods and would be happy to see those when he returned to his office. Which seemed as though would be relatively soon considering their work at the Gryffindor table was almost done and the other houses had, for the most part, taken care of their own tables.

He was really going to like it here.
Bowing his head, Airey banished a few more soggy rolls and...er...well...he actually wasn't quite sure WHAT that had just been. "I look forward to it," he grinned. Especially now that his head was no longer spinning off into orbit.
Taking another look around, Airey nodded his head approvingly and returned his wand to his neck to once again amplifying his voice. "ALRIGHT, GRYFFINDORS! Grab a sandwich or two if you haven't already and follow your prefects up to the common room. House meeting tomorrow morning before the start of lessons. Breakfast will be provided."

Well good going gravy, Neverwinter! Just perfect. Way to get involved in ALL the wrong ways. Why was it the Professor chose to focus on THAT instead of her admission. Shifting her weight, Amur's eyes skittered this way and that across his frightfully bright red suit. Sure she didn't agree with the Head Boy's wand pointing, but that didn't mean she wanted to get him in trouble for it.
Then why had she said it? Personal defense?
A slight growl rose in Amur's throat, before she got it! She realized it! Her escape! Everyone's escape! All of a sudden, her voice came quick and chirpy. "Not at all Professor!" Not at all did she care to elaborate, that was. "Just a passing comment that could be a great lesson topic."
Right then! She spun, grabbed a sandwich and shoved it in her mouth. She wasn't really hungry, but surely he could see that her mouth was quite preoccupied. And, to the common room? That sounded like a fantastic idea!

SPOILER!!: Flamsteed=loss of points, Thomas, Spencer, Alice I saw you I swear haha
Or you can use Tergeo the wand movement is simple just point and say the spell. Let me know if you need any help with it." She grimaced as she cast another Scourgify at a nearby soggy roll.
Thomas watched as the stuff went on around him completely uninterested he was still a bit miffed that he had missed all the excitement he smirked down at Arista who had yet to notice him which was a shocker to him who could not notice him.. But she was busy...busy with stairing down the Head of House...Goodness why did he like this girl... Five points wasn't that bad, she could easily earn it back she looked down at the girl and then back to the Professor oh crap that was a warning look!!!
"Calm down Love. Lets go to the common room." They had just been given the good to go and he didn't want Arista getting into anymore trouble he thought the Gryffindors had seen enough for the night.
Candice was busy cleaning the end side of the Gryffindor table from foods when she heard her name was being mentioned by Flamsteed. Teach the younger students how to the cleaning charm? Well, if she must. Sigh. But thankfully Yoongi already offered to help the ickle. Then she heard he's saying about he'll get her if Trixie didn't want his help. What? Was she the good cop now? No. Can she be the bad cop too? With him and Flamsteed?
Oh well, never mind that back to cleaning. The sooner they finished the sooner she could go and clean herself up. Maybe its the perfect time to test the Prefect Bathroom.
Look. House elves. Thank Merlin she didn't share the same fear like her brother. If her brother was here he probably already running away scared as soon as the elves show up. And how to explain to the elves that some students decided throwing foods were fun?
"Thank you Quirly, Beezley and Nimma." Much appreciated. She only ate a few carrots and broccoli. So some non soggy foods would be great. Candice grabbed herself a sandwich before she got back cleaning.
She grabbed two sandwiches before leading the Gryffindor to their common room. "Right. Gryffindor follow me." She was considering to use leash for the ickles in case they decided to wonder off or doing something that would cost them house points but she reckon Flamsteed wouldn't like that.

Blaise was nibbling on his sandwich, giving firm nods as Amur mentioned not aiming wands. He hadn't drawn his wand--granted he didn't have his wand to draw in the firest place--but the point was, it was NOT a duel. If he felt so strongly he could have thrown something back.
The little boy stood, mouth gaping for a moment when Amur refused to actually ...you know....tell. No no no, his Gryffindor chivalry only went so far.
"It's not a passing comment Professor." Bentley said not to say anymore on the fight but he bet he wouldn't mind sinking certain ships.
"The Head Boy immediately drew his wand at us, threatened us and told us we wouldn't like it if we didn't react in three seconds then proceeded to count. Proper saw my life flash before my eyes and my notepad can prove it." Sure his quill embellished--but it never lied and even Airey knew that. Take out the strong language and you could still clearly see it happened. "Amur had to step up to defend us 'cause shield charms are hard." Even when he tried--even when he needed them in duels and ended up getting knocked out because of that.
That said, he shot a stink eye at the boy who'd taken the whole thing more serious than a dragon attack before grabbing another sandwich and following after Candice.

Spencer appeared from under the table and shivered and nodded. "Yes Arista, that would be nice, I'm freezing!"said Spencer letting out a small sneeze. Uh-oh, he was starting to get sick, on the first night at Hogwarts he was sick. 'Stupid rain!'Spencer thought to himself as he sneezed once again. Maybe when he's done, he'll ask Thomas and Arista where the Hospital wing was to get something to tak before he gotten to bad. "Hope are you ok, not getting sick or anything? "Spencer asked her.
Spencer stopped and looked at what appeared to be a very angry and various man, who was he? It was obvious he was a Professor, but was he their head of house? Spencer's question was all the sudden answered, and he was right, he was their head of house. Wow...he was scary when he was mad, and was that a vein popping out, how often did he get mad like this was it often? Well...this wasn't the way he wanted to meet his head of house, but none the less, he finally met him at last. Spencer heard from his cousin Savannah, that he was cool but a bit weird and taught Astronomy, one of Spencer's favorite subject.
Spencer had a look of shock and horror on his face. Gryffindor just lost a hundred points and the term hasn't even started yet, well...good thing they could win them back right? Spencer sighed when they were told that they were going to clean the whole Great Hall. Well...this was how he really wanted to spend his first night as a official Gryffindor student, what was he suppose to do? He didn't know any spell. Well...help in the muggle way, he knew how to do that, being raised by the muggle way he knew how to do things the muggle way. He gotten some pie out of his hair and set it down on the table.
This was going to be a long night, good thing most majority of the Gryffindors knew magic to clean this up, Spencer was gathering the food in a big pile so Thomas or Arista could clean it up he couldn't do much, but he could help some. He was glad that they were able to use magic, probably would take them forever to clean it the muggle way, it was freaking huge! Spencer was hungry though, if they ate some of the food would that help? He was just kidding on that, it was ruined and touched by others, yuck! Maybe they'll eat later, more like cold sandwiches, not what he wanted but hey it was something to eat. Once again, NOT how he pictured this night, not at all.
Hope smiled up at Arista as she started using her wand to clean up the ginormous mess that seemed to be growing instead of decreasing. "Sure Arista, That would be great! Thanks princess!" Hope smirked.
Hearing Spencer sneeze, she went into mama-mode as her cousin liked to call it. Feeling Spencer's forehead to see if he had a fever and around his neck she asked,"Are you ok?? I hope you're not coming down with a cold. That would be dreadful. I think once we get this cleaned up we need to find the hospital wing and get you checked out." She thought about maybe finding somewhere to make him some soup and a sandwich. She would have to explore.
She was dried off by Arista, Ahh so much better."Thank you Princess. Scourgify?? Ok! thank you again!" She pulled her wand out of her bag that she always carried around with her and practiced flicking the wand and pronouncing the wand and then tried it, "Scourgify". It worked!! She just did her first magic spell! Of course it was just to clean up mess, but it was magic none the less! This was so exciting! Even if it was disgusting! Gryffindors needed to get their act together. She did not want to be in last place on her first year!! Not okay!!

These ugly, HORRIBLE studentsies had made a mess of dinner. Since the Headmastersie had left Algamus had known there would be trouble. Trouble with the studentsies in red. Horrible, horrible children.
And they were very bad, very bad indeed, because they threw the foodies and then were cleaning too! That was Algamus' job.
He came down with his broom anyway and started to cleans. Studentsies were not to clean. Rude studentsies. Worse student master.
Toddles hears studenties were bads. Studenties very bads. Toddles comes to helps. Yes Toddles does. Toddles gets broom and sees foods. Students bad for wastings foods. We elfsies cooks its. Yes elfsies does.
Toddles cleans and cleans. Toddles helps Nimma. Yes Toddles does.
Oh see? There were some house elves now! Charlotte somehow brightened up even more upon seeing them and they even had non-soggy food! She tergeo'd another patch of liquid goo that had become an indefinite brown mass of who knew what, and beamed at Quirly and Beezley.
"We had a food fight!" She told the elves enthusiastically, not adding on the part about how fun it was because that was entirely evident in her bearing, "and now we are cleaning up! Are you going to help us? You are very good elves, Quirly and Beezley!"
Beezley turned to look up at young Mistress with saddened eyes. "Why do studentsies fight with food?" she asked the young Mistress. "Beezley doesn't understand fights with food." All Beezley knew was cook food and eat food, cook food and eat food. Beezley had never had fights with food. Not unless you count the messes made with flour when baking cookies.
"Beezley will help young Mistress, yes she will. Beezley loves to help the studentsies," she said. Beezley pointed a knobby little hand forward and vanished a pile of red goo into thin air. Studentsies did not have to pick that up, no they didn't!

"We do not require your services further. You all have done more than enough this evening, thank you."
Beezley heard her name and looked up at Master Flamsteed with eyes all aglow. She had recieved thanks from Master Flamsteed, which made her proud. Beezley grinned a toothless grin in reply. "It was my pleasure, Master," she said with a bow. She was being dismissed now, which made her have to choose between young Masters and Mistresses and Master Flamsteed. Beezley did not know what to do, no she didn't!
"Beezley is here to serve," she reminded him. "But Beezley will go if Master says so."
