Default Charms Lesson 1, Room 3

Once the door as let you through to the third and final room you will find a regular classroom with desks and a professor. The professor has his back turned towards you as he watches through what looks like two windows. One that is showing the first room and one that is showing the second. He has been watching and taking notes the entire time. He doesn't look up as you walk in, but there is a note on the board near him.

Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

Blaise walked into the class in time to hear the tail end of the Professor's question. Why he'd done it? What it benefited him? Why it benefited THEM? The Gryffindor dragged his feet over to his seat (somewhere near Davie), his must sullen expression back into place. Figures his instincts were right; he really should have cut his losses like Daxton.

Deciding not to compete with others for offering answers, he instead began working on the name tag he'd grabbed. By work...he meant saying his name and having his quill tack it on for him.

Oh look, it used a different word this time.

As he listened he thought of responding and finally, he did. "It benefits you not having to actually teach us anything and it benefits those among us who actually know to cast because they get to breeze right through. My own benefit? Doesn't exist." But only 'cause he asked.

No no no they needed to stand over in the side..so it was less likely for the professor to spot them. Bentley dragged his cousin to the side as soon as he had got done having his quill write his name.

He did the same after shooting Blaise a crossed look.

"Shut up Blaise." He said sending a sharp elbow to the second year's side. "Can we just not lose any more points until September's over?"

"Maybe so we can learn to be self reliant?" Bentley offered.

curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog

Scarlett had thought that she had breezed through those rooms pretty quickly - but apparently not. As she entered the last room, she found that class was starting and the professor had just asked his first question. She knew she wasn't the only one who was just a few minutes behind, but it was slightly disheartening. She'd thought she'd done really well! Well - she had at least done better than everyone else still working through. That was good enough for her.

She put the name tag on her desk as the rest of her classmates answered. 42. Interesting.

Now that that was done - time to throw her opinion into the mix. She raised her hand. "For some people, it's good to just jump right into things. Other people require more visual examples and stuff - it helps you determine our learning patterns so you can tailor all your lessons to help everyone," she said. She'd read about that in some book about teaching that her dad had on the end table in their living room.

"K-I-T-Y" Ailsa spoke clearly to the door, which obediently opened and allowed her passage into a much more traditional classroom. Her reaction was an odd combination of disappointment and relief; as much as the classroom was a more familiar setting for scholastic learning, the practical tests seemed, well, honestly, quite useful.

She picked up one of the blank name tags from the pile as the professor asked why they thought he'd chosen to open the class as he had, and what benefit it had. Pausing at the edge of the classroom, she listened to the other students' answers. She gave a little thought to sitting down next to Davie, but as he answered, and said just a bit too much, she was reminded of professor Flamsteed's reaction to her doing something similar in Astronomy. No sense making that section of the classroom a target zone.

Instead she sat down next to Kate as the girl still seemed to be irritated and perhaps she needed someone friendly. With a gentle smile to the brunette, Ailsa filled out her name badge and secured it to her robes. She wasn't sure what was bothering the girl, so Ailsa left it at a smile before raising her hand to answer the professor's question.

"Because that's how life works? Me da always says that life's a bit tricky that way, giving the test first and the lesson after. So even if we failed or really struggled you wanted us to see what things would be like once we've left Hogwarts?"

Entering the next room, which proved to just be a classroom and not some other form of test to annoy them, Brooklyn held her head high. She wasn’t about to let anyone know exactly how irritated she was, and she even gave the professor a brief smile as she retrieved one of the nametags. At least, she was going to assume nobody could detect anything different in how she was acting than normal. She was fairly confident the professor wouldn’t, being new and all. Fairly confident. As long as nobody who did know her said anything, but most of them seemed focused on the lesson rather than her.

Making her way to a free seat, she sat down and took out something to use to fill out her nametag. That took all of three seconds, and it only took another few for her to have written her name down and attached the tag to her robes. After that, she merely sat and listened to the others. Odds were the tests were to see what they knew, maybe even to see if they worked better alone or in groups. She didn’t need to say that to know if she was right or not. There were plenty of others here, so she chose to believe that someone else had said it. That and the discussion would tell her once it began.

Aaaaand ZOOOOOOOOOOM. In his excitement Jaemin had practically yelled the letters (appropriate letters, really) and gone from the second room to the third, bouncing happily. What would the next room be?! More opening things? He was practically a pro at it now.

...oh. It was just a class now? That was okay too! The little boy stopped to read the board, looked at the tall professor man for a moment, then took a nametag and hopped his way to a seat to sit down and write his name. He wrote the whole thing out, then wrote it in Korean underneath it. His name looked so nice like that... he patted the nametag almost affectionately before putting it on his robes and looking at the other students as they answered a question he hadn't been around to hear.

Moving over to the table at the side of the room, Marsha wrote her name neatly on a name tag, stuck it to her jumper and then took a seat at an empty desk so that Mel could join her when she got through the last room if she wanted too.

As she had just joined the class and hadn’t heard the start of the discussion, she stayed quiet. Just in case she was wrong with what she assumed the question to be.
She had failed. That was what the first year had thought when she moved on to the third and hopefully final room. Walking up to the table she took one of the badges and found a seat near Marsha as well…family, and Sha had been all helpful and wasn’t scary like some of the other students seemed to be.

Looking at Sha she gave her a little grin. "I never mastered those sticky shoes..." she muttered with a sigh because she felt bad about it really. "Hello Professor Primeaux" she added with a bright smile even though she felt a little bit down and out over not doing so well in the entire test.

Who Am I? Ern's 2460FUN

Chloe stumbled into the room and had to audibly stop herself from saying a not-very-nice word. After all of that they just ended up in a classroom? This was why sometimes she questioned the sanity of the professors at this school? Lessons could just be lessons, you know. She knew. Chloe knew a lot.

She rather put out from all of the exertion and anxeity grabbed a badge and quickly jotted down her name.

She didn't talk to anyone. Her heart rate was still coming down from her nearly bludgeoned head experience. Yea, the prefect nearly killed her.

When the professor began to speak Chloe glared at him. No, she didn't know why he made them all jump through hoops? Maybe because he was cruel and evil and bored. She understood boredom. But this was taking boredom a little far in her books.

Hah.

And to think charms would be her favourite class...

She was sure there was another test waiting for her, so she didn't even want to enter there. But she'd come this far, and she didn't want to throw it all away now, so after taking a moment, she opened the door... to see a proper classroom!?

She quickly whispered the letters to enter, and then lingered at the entrance to take it all in. There was the professor, watching them with a notepad, and the successful students, and then the note on the board. She read it quickly, and didn't even know what to feel - apart from... relief that this was the end, and betrayal for some reason. She gulped and picked a seat in somewhere middle. This was a bad omen: she ALWAYS sat in the front. Always. There never came a moment she had evevn picked the second row; but for the first time in her life, she didn't even want to be at class. So, somewhere in the middle like an average student it was, after taking a badge or whatever.

She heard the question as she sat down, and felt the anger rise again. It benefited no one. He could have seen their level just fine during a regular classroom. He could have tested them at the end of the term. He could have - there was just so many options he could have done if he'd really wanted to do all those things her classmates suggested he had been doing, so what he really did was being cruel in the name of teaching. But Katherine kept her mouth sealed shut, and opted to be busy with writing down her name on the badge: 'Katherine Moss'. She didn't even know how to stick it, unless it stuck by itself, so she left it on the desk and looked at a distant point on the floor in silence.

This wasn't her ideal start to Hogwarts at all.

HE MADE IT!! YOU SEE THAT!! "WHAT'S NEXT BRING IT ON!"....ow. ooh he held his side yelling at the top of his lungs was a bad idea from where he fell on his box. He looked around finally and noticed...a classroom and Uncle Julien already engaged in conversation. Torrance next decided to throw his hand over his mouth his one hand carrying a pair of shoes so those smacked his face when he did so. Ow Again.

He scanned the room until he spotted her! His RIVAL! KATE, and he didn't care how she wanted him to say it either. Kate was short for Katherine, so there. He took a name tag quickly trying to avoid eye contact with his uncle which would probably be impossible now with his entrance. He nabbed the empty seat beside Kate and put her shoes on her desk. He then whispered harshly at her. "Your shoes are terrible."Yup he's totally blaming her for his fall too though it was his decision to just drop from there and hope his Uncle didn't want him dead.

Robin came in, glanced at Jaemin and sighed. She had probably offended him. She started her way to the other side of the room. Noting with curiosity that he wrote his name in English and Korean she was tempted to do the same, but no that would be copying.

Glancing wide eyed at the professor, who she had not seen throughout the entire test she gave a little bow, a habit she had, and scurried to an empty chair. She sat down, exhausted. That was the biggest test of her life.

He was watching as the other students walked in during the discussion. He was observing them still, all of them. Finally he lifted he wand and opened the doors for the ones still working to come in. It was time for all to come together. The lesson was starting to come to a close and he would not be the reason anyone was late to their next class.

Turning is eyes back to the class that was there he motioned for the ones with their hands up to speak in turn.

And for first years... well... good luck to them. No, the purpose of the activity was more akin to a social experiment, and he was keen to have his theory confirmed. Hand raised, he waited for a sign that he was allowed to speak before sharing. "It didn't benefit most us, not really, but it benefits you," he started. "Being a new Professor, with new students, this way you could identify the first years easy, and take note on others that have... issues..." he may have glanced briefly in Daxton's direction at this point, "and identify those that are team players or have leadership skills and those of us who are too selfish to bother with helping our peers," what were they called? "individual learners."

Was he on the right track?

The screens. The screens said a lot. Why else watch them at every step? Hhmmm?

Also, he was still a tad bored, so could the others please hurry up?
"I find it very interesting you included yourself in that being selfish group, but it does give me a chance to see all of those things. Part of the reason why we did this." Not the full reason, but it was certainly part.

Speaking of Azura. She looked up to see the other girl come in and wave to her. Rachel waved back, pleased that she was just fine.

When Professor Primeaux spoke, Rachel gave him her full attention. She considered the question for a moment before raising her hand. "I think you did this to get an idea of who are stronger and more experienced at spell work and for us to also realise that magic requires us to fully focus and isn't always as easy as it seems. It's something that we have to work hard at doing.'' It certainly had taken her a fair amount of time to get those locks opened and closed.
He actually didn't even care about this part, but he wouldn't say that aloud. "Very good thoughts, it does help me know who needs more practice."

She shrugged then. "Or, you know, something like that."
"Some people do, but some don't. This was a good way to determine which was which." Not his reasoning, but still a good thought.

And now the professor was talking to them. Which he was fine with, he supposed. If class could get started then he'd be able to get back to his dorm sooner and sleep longer before lunch, maybe. Ollie sat up in his seat and listened and groaned a little when the professor said they were going to wait for the rest of the class. It wasn't his fault people were taking so long so why should he suffer.

He put his head back down on the desk and considered answering the question that was asked. Whyyy would they be forced to do spells before learning anything? Well because it was a test, but they already knew that. Without sitting up but only turning his head towards the professor, he raised his hand to answer. "You made us do spells first because talking at us on the first day is too boring." He wasn't trying to be rude, but it was the truth.
"No I actually do enjoy talking and teaching. If I didn't I wouldn't be here right now." Honestly he almost wasn't after that feast.

Trying to shake her paranoia, she decided to go for a more Janelle friendly answer and raised her hand. "I think that the task gave you the opportunity to she how much we know. Yes, Ariadne enjoyed it, but that was probably because this was her very first lesson ever. She didn't know if she wanted that kind of test before EVERY class.

So why did he throw them out there first and then decide to teach the class? Ariadne did some thinking before raising her hand. "You know what I think? I think it's because we won't ALWAYS have somebody like a professor with us to teach us everything to do. Sometimes we're going to be in a situation we're going to have to get ourselves out of, like the test you put us through today," she explained.
"You are very much right when it comes to you won't always have a professor. It's not exactly why I did this, but it is true. Sometimes you have to do things on your own."

Grabbing a numbered badge he made his way toward the center of the room; not too at the front nor too at the back. Writing his name on it, he smacked the name badge onto his robes.

This was just as the professor asked broad questions. Cornelius scratched his chin thoughtfully. Well, he wouldn't know, now would he? He wasn't a Legilimens. Not yet, anyway. He needed to get together with Mason and discuss that first.

Cornelius didn't think much about the professor's questions, instead he focused on what his classmates said. Answers lay in what they were saying--which was a bunch of repeated stuff. "Erm, because you can't make solid observations if we're just sitting in desks." He jerked his head where the professor jotted something down.

That's what the guy was doing, no? Observing and jotting things down. Cornelius could see, he could.
He nodded at this one, "Spells are to be done in many different ways, but it was easy to observe you doing them like we did today."

"Or maybe, since you're new to us and us to you, you want to see where we are, rather than have us tell you where we think we are."
Struggling could be entertaining, but that wasn't who he was. "No, I can't say I do, but I do like to see you succeed and many of you did."

Jace's head snapped back as soon as the professor moved from his position, and spoke with command. The Ravenclaw trained is eyes on him, and followed his every movement, while wrapping his brain around the words that he spoke.

As soon as the last student offered his answer, Jace raised his hand and offered his. "I suppose it's your way of knowing which student is willing to learn, Professor." Because he did everything he can to be in the classroom right now. He went through obstacles to learn on his own, and be taught more in the end.
What a good Ravenclaw, he smiled at this one, "Yes, willing to learn and able to learn are very different. You must be willing to learn, because everyone is able to learn even if it is in different ways."

The professor was talking now. He'd have to catch up with Ariadne later, and he showed as much by pressing his finger to his lips. This dude was like sleeping bags... he was INTENSE! Heh. Heh. No, uh, not exercise, no sir. David sat up a bit straighter as the professor spoke to them all, not just to Daxton.

"It was a test, sir," he answered, starting with the obvious and obviously with raising his hand. His answer to this was pretty much exactly what he'd told Callum earlier. "Well, a pre-test, rather. You wanted to give us these tasks as a pre-test, to see how we handled magic under pressure, and to see our strengths and weaknesses, not just as individual learners, but also as a collective group." He tapped his chin. "I find it interesting that we were only required to use two spells to complete the tasks, which didn't really build in difficulty of magic, but which required some strategy and minimal creativity."

Just saying. Also, was it too early for questions? David would hold most of his questions for the moment. "Could it be that these boxes, with the sets of numbers and letters, represent something... beneficial for us? And you?" Er? "Or at least your observations of us tell us how you can best teach us." Something like that, yep.

This one was full of information and he leaned against his desk and listened. "All of these are very good points. Some of them close to what I was doing. I did get to learn many things about many of you today."

Being could they step up and look out for one another like a family should the need every arise.
He liked this one already, "Very good. To learn is one thing, but to help others learn is a step even higher. We should be a team while learning in this classroom."

When the Professor asked them a question, the young lioness raised her hand and answered it. "I think because charms is more practical, so the best way to learn it is by practicing it and I don't really mind about it. And the second one is, those activities before is to know if the older students could be a good upperclassmen or not to the younger students. I know that all the first year students don't know how to use the unlocking and locking charm, so the older students had to show and teach them how to use those spells. And also be a good supporter to them." Wink.
Another one who got an actual smile, "Very good, this was a test of leadership as well as charms"

This one he eyed, he eyed fora few moments. He had a list of notes on this one already just from the class. Yes, if it wasn't for him this one could have been stuck. "Shut up Blaise." He said sending a sharp elbow to the second year's side. "Can we just not lose any more points until September's over?"

"Maybe so we can learn to be self reliant?" Bentley offered.
"I would say that self reliance is a thing to have, it wasn't what I was looking for, but yes it is important. Helping and being there for others is a great thing to have to, but one needs to remember not to allow that person they are helping forget they need to practice and try for themselves as well." He saw something in this one. Something very positive in the leadership he showed, but he needed a bit more molding to help push others as well as help.

"That is very good going forward, it wasn't exactly what this class was about, but very good observation."

He chuckled with this one, "Yes life does work that way, but that wasn't why I did this today."

Then this happened.. His eyes widened when his other nephew came into the room Benton already being there he took a deep breath at Torrance. He knew the child meant well, but did he have to be so loud. Taking his wand he vanished the shoes off the desk, "Your desk if for parchment and books, not shoes. "

Was that everyone now? Yes, okay then.

He pointed at the board and let it turn with words:

Quote:
Respect

Responsibility

Safety

"I have to say that many of you left me very surprised. After last nights feast activities, I wasn't sure many of you cared to learn or be respectful towards each other or professors. Being told that the leaders of the school might have been part of it, well that left me wondering if the willingness of learning was even here." Eyes on you nephew for the information. "I decided to do this little test more to see if 1 you wanted to learn, 2 you would try even if not told what to do, 3 how you would act without a professor around, and 4 which of you would be leaders and which of you would prove to not care about being a team. Learning in my classroom is a group effort. We are a team while in this room, we will work as a team to learn and succeed. There is not one person in this room that can't learn, nor there isn't one person that is unable to learn. You all learn differently and I do understand that, but your ability to learn is always there. It is the willingness to learn that I wanted to make sure you had. I will not teach an unteachable child. There is no one that can't be taught if they want to learn. So if you are one of those people that do not want to learn the door is right there please do not come back."

He turned and went back up to the board and pointed to the words, "In my room we will use these three words as our rules, Be Respectful. You will always be respectful to yourself, others around you, the school property, and of course to your professors. I saw many disrespecting their elders at the feast and that will not be tolerated here. It distracts us from learning. You will be responsible. I am not your babysitter I am your teacher. You will work hard and remember your own books and material. Anyone forgetting anything will lose points. Lastly you will be safe. My room is a place to practice without worry of being harmed. There will be no goofing around, there will be no dueling, and there will be no unassigned spells used in this room." Where they all on the same page now? Could they move on?

"Now some of you felt this wasn't hard enough, you are correct it wasn't. That is okay though. It is not wrong to practice things you already know. It's your first class of term, think of it as a review. You haven't done spells since you left last term. So you freshened up." He grinned and moved back towards his desk picking up his parchment. "Now many of you showed great leadership in there. I have it written down and you will be getting five extra points for being a good leader. It is a great ability to be a leader and to stop and help instead of moving on just for yourself. The real successors of today are the ones that struggled with the spell and did not complete the rooms. This as all my class was not a race. It was to learn and to practice. The fact that they did not give up even if they couldn't do it. They didn't just have someone else do it, that is showing the great ability of wanting to learn, wanting to get better. Failing to them is not an option, that is the inspiration I hope to see in all of you." Bravo to that group of students.

"Now I have some boxes in the room if you would like to continue your practice, but we are running out of time for today. So the ones that are ready to leave and have no questions, you are welcome to leave. Anyone with questions or wanting extra practice feel free to stay and help yourself to a box."

ooc: I will be leaving this open for awhile for anyone who wants to play and practice, but we are done for anyone who would like to be done Julien is not usually that long winded.. Sorry..

Selfish, yes, that was him. He was selfish enough to ignore the plights of others and conduct himself in a way that benefitted his interests over others. And yes sir, that included helping our girlfriend. Selfish. See?

Zeke semi-tuned out as the Professor rambled on about the feast thing (which he wasn't even present for) and then went on to discuss rules and learning and wanting to learn and blah blah blah.

Yes. Zeke Browne wanted to learn Charms, he did not however, want to sit and listen to a big fat load of NOTHING masked as some moral lesson thing. The Professor was losing him. Frankly he just hoped the lesson material would become more rigorous in the following days or else he might just have to teach himself, follow the textbook to a T.

As for practicing on more boxes, no thanks, we'll pass.

Pushing himself out of his seat, Zeke extended a hand to Maggie. "Shall we?" They had better things to do now, yes?

Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

One minute he was sitting and the next he was being dragged to the wall then elbowed and all he could do was muffle what would have otherwise been an exaggerated shout. The man ASKED Bentley, clearly he wanted an answer--and no, he wasn't buying that love of teaching, no more than he was buying that respect for Prefects. The funny thing about respect was that it was a two way street and one didn't earn it by being rude to his family.

When he realized this was not a lesson but a further lecture on top of ALL the other lectures he'd gotten for the feast, the boy's mind was firmly made up.

There's the door, don't come back? That worked brilliantly for him because as the Professor had rightly guessed, he did not want to learn and he did not want to do it at the hands of someone like him. Had he planned to learn today he would have been sorely disappointed and so, with his most defiant look, the boy grabbed hold of Bentley's hand and began dragging him from the room.

There was the door. He was not coming back.

curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog

Wait, so this whole thing had been some sort of test of character? Scarlett was totally confused. She only half listened to the what the professor had to say, because SHE hadn't done anything wrong at the feast. She'd been stuffing her FACE full of delicious FOOD and being a good little Badger. It was evident from the current point standings, was it not? She hadn't even been paying attention to what had happened at the other tables. All she knew was that suddenly, they had negative points, because they'd done something stupid and gotten those points taken away.

What the other houses - and big kids - got into was THEIR business. She wasn't sure why the professor had taken it out on all of them, but hey, she'd gotten a chance to do some MAGIC! And some fun wall climbing stuff! She was smart enough to know he wasn't directing any of this at her anyways. Her parents HATED rudeness and had taught her how to respect others, especially people of authority, so none of this really applied to her. She debated staying behind and practicing, but as the older kids started to leave, she succumbed to peer pressure and decided to head out as well. She'd have plenty of chances to practice Alohomora in the coming years, she could ditch out a bit early on this one. She didn't want to start off this year by being known as the first year Puffer who was a total Teacher's Pet.

"Thanks for the lesson, Professor!" she called with a smile as she took her things and happily skipped from the room.

SIR, YES SIR!

So this all went back to the food fight at the feast. Ariadne was now officially really, REALLY glad that she didn't throw any food. That was really coming back to haunt some people, wasn't it? Yeah. She was NEVER going to participate in any food fights at Hogwarts. EVER.

This had all been a test to see what kind of student they were. Ariadne hoped she had given the professor a good show. She'd tried hard and shown she was willing to work for it. She'd done that by cracking open her textbook in an effort to figure things out all on her own. She'd shown determination and willpower. She'd done that by climbing that wall before Ava, her Gryffindor helper. So, yeah. She thought she'd done well.

Ariadne thought she'd had enough practice for now. She gathered her things and made her way to the door. "BYE, PROFESSOR!" she called out. "That was an awesome first lesson EVER!"

So it all tied in to what had happened at the feast?

Once again Esme was glad that she had refrained from participating in the incident. Food fights made no sense to her so she would not have any part of them. It seemed that all of her Housemates had felt the same way, because they were just as innocent in the whole thing.

Honestly she didn't even mind being lumped together with the troublemakers, because she got a cool lesson out of it. She managed to use what she had learned and even offer assistance on the way - though she wouldn't have accepted any. It was a shame that her sister had decided not to take part, but then Juno could be so lazy when she wanted to be; the only thing that she HADN'T inherited from their father.

Esme didn't really need to practice anymore since none of the magic they had performed was new to her, so she decided to head out. "Thank you for the lesson, Professor. It was AWESOME." If he kept bringing the practicals like this, she would love the class more than she already did. Gathering her things, she headed for the exit.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.

Professor Primeaux spoke a lot but this didn't bother Rachel one bit. She hung on to every word. Her eyes shifted to the Gryffindors while he spoke. Yes, she still thought that some of them were unruly but you couldn't blame her for that opinion, could you? Not after the happenings of the Feast.

As for practice, the Claw wasn't sure she wanted to do anymore for now so she would pass. She had had quite enough done for one day and she felt she was getting accustomed to the two charms they had used. "Shall we go, Haddie?'' Rachel got to her feet and made her way to follow the students exiting. "Goodbye, Professor. This was an interesting lesson.'' She offered him a smile before departing.

There was nothing at all to be said. Every single word that was spoken by Professor Primeaux was heard and accounted for. Hady didn't even look away from the man as he spoke though she knew who was being spoken of as he gave his speech about Respect, Responsibility and Safety. She had also heard about the five extra points given to those that had leant some assistance to those whom needed it, though no names had been given for that.

Not in the least did she blame the new Professor for this test of ability, leadership and willingness to learn and adapt. When the option came to remain in his lesson and learn or get up and leave of course the fifth year didn't move a muscle. There was noway she would leave, every lesson was being taken once again this term. Even those she didn't need to take or care all to much about.

Hady didn't have any questions to ask and knowing both charms used today like the back of her hand she was ready to go. Rising to her feet when they were told that the lesson was over she quickly slung the strap of her bag over her shoulder. "Thank you for the lesson Professor, see you next time," she called out to him just loud enough to be heard along with a small wave as she exited through the doorway. Time to get some studying in before her next lesson.

Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

YEAH KATE get YOUR shoes of the Desk they don't belong there. Gosh.

Tory listened to Uncle Julien speak to the Class. He always found whatever his Uncle had to say very intriguing. Most of the time he couldn't really follow because he usually got very passionate when it came to his big lectures, such as this one.

Tory could have easily drifted off into space, but something caught his ear. "Uh...Uncle Professor!" Tory said not really sure if he was allowed to call his Uncle Uncle during class so he went right for the next best thing and yeah Uncle Professor was a good fit. His hand slashed the air above his head as it raised. "What if I don't want to be a leader?" He lowered his hand now. "I don't want to lead anyone, I'd rather just keep to the back and find someone worth my time to Follow." Like Tia, even though she was one of the student leaders, and the Head Girl to boot. She helped him in the first room. So she was worth his time for now. To Tory following didn't mean to do as he was told. They were more of like a guide. Point him in the right direction, and he'll figure out a way to get there on his own.

Haddie shook her head. "I am going to practice Colloportus some more. It's... irksome." She stood up, but instead of moving to the door, Haddie made her way to the front and retrieved one of the offered practice boxes. It was locked like the ones she'd gotten in the tests.

She sat back down and aimed her wand at it. "Alohomora." The box clicked unlocked. "Colloportus." The box clicked locked. Then a minute or two later, unlocked itself again. Haddie sighed. "Colloportus!" It clicked itself locked again. While she waited, she turned to the box she'd earned in one of the challenges, the one she'd been practicing on while waiting. "Alohomora." Might as well practice on all the boxes while waiting to see if the charm stuck or not.

Only this time, it wasn't Colloportus she had issues with. The box unlocked itself, and then not a minute later, re-locked itself. "Mr. Primeaux? I seem to have trouble countering my own charms. I can't get the counter-charms to stay, um... charmed."

Ilia walked into the room as people were already answering the question. She took her time making sure that Bella made it through alright after that whole small room incident. She didn't really want to think about what she felt or ever do that again, but she was glad that she could help little Bella through. Thank the stars for Henric being an emotional support bubble! She probably could have gotten through it even without him, but he took away that anxious , upset feeling very quickly. It was his protectiveness and his Puffness she was pretty sure.

Ilia looked back to check that both of them were still closer and silently listened to the professor's speech. Wow, they actually got sort of a sane one for once.....She smiled to her companions and then looked down at Bella. "If you lack any confidence in your wand work after that session, I think now is the time to practice it." She sort of wanted to ruffle her hair, but stopped herself. "I think you did well."

Finally they made it to the last room! And there was Professor Primeaux already answering some of the other students questions. Meh...better late than never, right? Henric was just glad they made it through together as a team with little Bella in tow. llia was amazing as always, he knew his girlfriend could easily pass the test even without his help but it still felt good to know that they were still each other support system.

Henric stood by them and waited for the Professor to finish his speech. He grinned towards Bella,"Yeah she's right...you did! Let us know Bella, we're happy to help!" He beamed.

He waved goodbye to their charms professor."We had fun today, professor. See you again next time," he grinned before holding his hand up for llia so she could follow him out.

Really though Bentley had thought that they were done with these lectures. It happened. The prefects were mean and they were mean right back. People needed to move on. But thst was apparently too much to ask yes?

Did they want to see their parents up their heads up on pikes as a way to warn other students not to start a food fight?

Bentley shrugged. He hadn't really listened to everything that the professor had said when he realized that what he was saying had nothing to do with Charms.

Lucky for him though, his grandmother was highly skilled in that area and he was pretty much on track and knew a bit more than most his age.

"Waaaaah...Alright I'm coming I'm coming..." He said trying to shrug Blaise off as he dragged him through the door.

Well, she did throw some things to Yoongi but somehow she didn't regret it. Ava did that because... it's fun? And respect to the Head Boy... She would give him some respect if he stopped insulting her by calling her 'Tall Ava'. Hufffft.... But she didn't throw anything to Candice and Frankie.

A test for a leadership. That's why Professor Primeaux did this challenge to them. And she was glad that she could help Ariadne... Well, not really helping maybe. Just to explain the step and supported her for the climbing... Well, she could say that she helped a little bit. Oh, speaking of a leader, she definitely needed to write to Zander. Yes, she had promised that to the former Head Boy and she thought this would be a good time.

So, that's wrap for today's class? Ava didn't mind though. Those activities were fun and she hoped that the Professor would do the same thing again for the next class. "See you on the next lesson, Professor! I totally had fun today, maybe next time you're gonna give us more difficult challenge?" Hehehe. She's a Gryffindor, that's why she liked challenges.

Bashful Bowtruckle ♥ ♥ Lassie's Sweet Pea

That was it??? It was over???

Sure, they'd gotten a very looooong lecture about the feast and food fight and respect but those were all things Oliver knew about. Not like he was going to go around starting food fights. Especially not since all the Gryffindors had to go do chores around the castle or something, or at least that's what he'd heard from Timmy.

Oliver grinned as he gathered his things. He was actually very surprised in his abilities to make his hopes and dreams come true...at least for this morning. Maybe every class would be this easy and fast!

The boy stood and began walking out. As he passed the professor he said,"Thanks for the best first class ever, Professor Primeaux." Because it truly was great. He got to do easy spells and now he'd get to go and sleep. So cool.
