Once you have gotten your number code correct and the door has let you through. The first thing you might notice is the room is super low. So low you might have to duck down or crawl to get in. Looking up there are little trap door all of course locked. Clear at the front of the room are more directions for you to follow.

Place them on and climb the wall to retrieve one of the many smaller boxes flying around. They will come to you with a small whistle. They will not come with accio so don't even try. Once you have the box carefully go back down and take off the sticky gloves and shoes. The floor is charmed so no you can't fall to your death or even get hurt. You will need to unlock the box to retrieve the letters to get through your final door into our classroom.
Good Luck
OOC: Just as the directions say you will RP doing the steps, minimum of five to get through each step. Again there is no time limit for now so please have fun and don't feel rushed.
NOTE: If you have not been quoted in Room 1 with a link to this room please do not post here yet. I will delete the post. If you haven't started in room 1 that is okay, go have fun, do room 1! You are not too late or too far behind. I PROMISE!!
There comes a time where things do need to wrap up! I would like to move on Tuesday, January 12. So I will be closing room 1 and 2 at that point. You will have until Tuesday at 3 p.m. EST to finish up on any of your post! Once these are closed it will be said that door have opened for your character to just go straight to the classroom! Remember it is okay if your character did not get all the way through!!

As soon as Carl entered the room, he noticed the super low ceiling and ducked down. He walked around a little, then gave up and simply began crawling. This stage of the test was worse than the first - at least the first room had normal ceilings. And there was nothing around either, no glass cabinets, just the directions at the front of the room.
Oh, so there were doors above. Carl looked up, glad for the first time that the room was low. Otherwise he would not be able to climb up to wherever he had to go. Now, what was he supposed to do? He turned back to the board, continuing to read.

Alright, shoes were off, gloves were off, and both were set off to the side neatly. Davie was just wondering if he should open the box now, or wait and open it after he climbed down to the other room? WERE they supposed to go back down?

He scooted on over toward her a little bit. "Hi! How are you! How are you liking everything!" And even though the professor wasn't around, in case he wasn't supposed to chat, he would... open the box next. He got his wand back out and everything.

Azura smiled when she saw Esme come over and ask if she was all right! "I'm totally fine! Thank you Esme!" She said with a warm smile as Austin spoke and she nearly rolled her eyes.. Yes yes.. At least she got her box!!
Nearly died in the process though!!
She looked at Rachel who opened her box and then Azura shook her head.. Duh! She could open it now!
She pointed her wand at her box and said "Alohomora!" She smiled as the lock clicked open and she opened her box to see her letters!

As a precaution, the first thing Brooklyn did after she’d gotten the trapdoor unlocked was to cast an Impervius charm over herself. At least she could make sure she didn’t end up any dustier than she probably was from having to crawl here. Plus, she still didn’t know what she was going to find beyond the trapdoor. It was always better to be prepared, especially when she figured there wasn’t anyone else here she could use to escape. Most of the people she knew she could depend on had graduated after all.
Reaching up finally, she opened the trapdoor and pulled herself through. Well that was anticlimactic, she thought, eyeing the shoes and gloves waiting for her. Not to mention the boxes flying well above her head. Obviously they were going to have to climb. She didn’t want to climb, but she also didn’t feel like being pelted by boxes if she tried to get them to come down to her. It meant dealing with having to expend some energy, and she started pulling on the shoes, sticking hers into her bag which got set against the wall. Once she’d switched shoes, she set about putting the gloves on as well.

Jace forgot how much fun climbing was. He was always forbidden by his mama to do such thing back in Japan, but his papa would let him do it when his mother was away...or not looking. It didn’t take long for the young samurai-to-be to reach the right height so he could retrieve one of the boxes. He knew he was too high to jump off the wall, even if the floor was charmed to make his landing a soft one. He didn’t want to take the risk. Not that he didn’t trust the still unknown professor’s charm work, but jumping off was just...not his thing. Besides, it wasn’t very samurai-like, yeah?
He did remember reading about whistling to retrieve the box. Jace considered doing what Torrance did before when he met him in the Fountain last summer, but his hand was gloved, and pretty much stuck on the wall, carrying some of his weight. Maybe...a nice, melodic whistle will do?
Breathing in, Jace peeled his left hand off the wall, so he could twist his body and face the floating boxes. He licked his lower lip, and let out a nice, steady, and almost melodic whistle. “Fweeeeeeeeeeeeet.” Jace waited...and waited...until the tiny box he has been eyeing hurtled toward him. He reached out with his free hand, and caught the object straight into his palm.
With a bit of difficulty, Jace managed to place the box inside his trousers’ pocket and began his decent. The hard part of the obstacle was finally over!

Time to open the box! David broke his eye contact with Ariadne just for a minute because the box under his arm was getting bothersome. He swished and flicked his wand at the box very simply, saying, "Alohomora!" as he did. Nice and simple, that WAS why he liked this spell.
The box opened, of course, and he took out his letters. Neato. So what was the next challenge, huh?

Yes, what did they do for the gloves and shoes now? "Well, I guess we're just gonna leave them here."The young lioness said. Leave them be and maybe the other students would gonna wear it. When the Slytherin girl greeted Davie, Ava just smiled and waved at that boy.
Now, the moment of truth. She had unlocked the box and pulled out the letter inside. A, S, D, C... This was the next code to the next room, right? Now what would happen next? "I'll see you at the next room, Ariadne?" She said to her. Mentioning those letter, Ava headed to next room and... Be prepared.

As soon as he reached the ground, Jace quickly took off his sticky gloves and shoes, wore his own pair again, and headed to where he left Azura, Rachel, and Esme. They all went ahead and opened their boxes, and Jace did the same. Procuring the box in his pocket, he unlocked the box once more with the unlocking spell, “Alohomora!”

The semi-glare he got back would have made him laugh... but he knew now was not the time to do that, and so he remained silent the rest of the way down.
After summoning his own shoes and slipping them back on, Zeke turned his attention to his second box. Great. Fun. Joy. "Alohamora!" he cast on it, hearing the soft tell-tale click of success. He just wanted to get his letters and get in the classroom. Have it over and done with. It didn't surprise him either that Maggie shared that sentiment, only....
....
Some time, was something he could definitely live with. And her fingers on his arms. Yes. Just yes. In fact, they needed more time. "Mmmmmhhhmmmmmmm," he murmured in agreement, grinning now. He ran a finger over his hand, but then something clicked, and it wasn't his box - that was already done. They should go and then get out of here. "Let's see what the classroom looks like then," he mused lifting the lid off his box.

So really, hopefully they would just get a 'well done' speech from the professor and then he would dismiss them. Honestly, right now Maggie could think of a LOT better ways to spend her time than discuss the unlocking charm. A lot better.
And judging by the grin on Zeke's lips, so could he.
Taking his hand in hers, Maggie gave it a squeeze before looking back down at her box. Ah. A, B, E, D. That was easy enough. She holstered her wand again and – dragging Zeke along – made her way over to the door. "A, B, E, D." There. Now hopefully this would be the last room.
Who knew with those Hogwarts professors.
She let go of Zeke again only right before walking through the door. "See you on the other side." Ha. Funny right? It really wasn't. But it had sounded like a cool thing to say. Sending him one last smirk, she quickly slipped through the open door and into the next room.

They had a mutual understanding, and there was still a Charms Professor to meet and greet and learn things from, so that would be done first and then they could take a break. They deserved one too, moving through rooms and ignoring first years took some effort.
He only had enough time to glimpse his code before Maggie started dragging him closer to the door. D, O, G, G... easy enough to remember. DOG-G. Mhhmmm. What a clever association.
Surrendering his box, Zeke watched with mild satisfaction as Maggie gave her code. Why? He couldn't explain, but he was keen to follow her then and there. Waiting was never his strong suit. "See you," he called after her as the door closed.
Now...
"D, O, G, G," he stated clearly, smiling as the code was accepted, allowing him through to the classroom.

It was the moment of truth. Janelle was ready to open the box and discover what would be inside this time. She took a moment to get her thoughts together and concentrate. Then she took a deep breath. As before, Janelle put her box on the floor and pointed her wand at it. Then making the swirly wand movement, she said, "Alohomora". She was soooo close, she was almost afraid to try to open it.
After taking another deep breath, Janelle tried to open the box........and it was unlocked! Thank Merlin because she did not want to have to repeat the spell. She was on fire today and all of her spells were clicking.......so far anyway. Peeking inside, Janelle looked for her letters. Letters? She was so ready to move on to the next room.

Hearing Azura call back out to her was a good sign. As was the younger girl stating clearly that she was indeed alright and not at all in need of a healer. These were certainly good things and allowed Hady to continue onward with the completion of her own task.
With her two feet firmly set on the floor once more...after a bit of tugging and yanking of her hands and feet off the wall of course. She had sat herself down and tugged off each glove and the the shoes, her box set safely on her lap. Free of being stuck to anything she quickly pulled on her own shoes feeling much better already.
Removing her wand from it's holster she pointed it at the box and gave the incantation, "Alohomora". The lock easily clicked open giving Hady the information she needed to move on the to next room.

Still holding the box in her hands the female snake rose once more to her feet and headed to the door which she hoped was the last one. "W. I. P. N," Hady recited clearly when she was close to the door in question. Sure enough it sung open giving her entrance to the next room.

"You alright there mate?" Of course he had wanted to be first to see the room but he was super close to Blaise so a couple seconds wasn't much was it?
The second year looked to where his cousin pointed and frowned. Sigh.
Where was the super cool everything? He had thought that an awesome reward was awaiting them after successfully completing the charms but noooope.

Worried for his girlfriend who was literally stuck to him like glue. Not that he minded of course. Ehem."llia, are you alright?" he asked as he glanced back at her. He had never seen her so pale. He wondered why. For now, he made sure to keep himself close to her. "We're just going to follow the others, alright..."he reassured her.
Then, another little girl suddenly bumped into. Her look was even more paler than his girlfriend. Oh dear... and it seemed llia knew her too! Bella, was her name? "Hey there, its going to be okay...Professor Primeaux is just testing us...nothing is going to harm you, we have to keep on moving,"his positivity beaming, hoping it gave them a little courage. Henric got up onto all fours and crawled ahead. He noticed several doors above their heads. Henric reached for the knobs but it didn't budge. He knew it. "We need to unlock these doors first, ALOHOMORA!"
"I'll be fine.......just a little smaller in here than I was hoping." Like way too small. She should pretty much always be able to stand up. Following people, ....okay. She took a moment to read the directions as she leaned against Henric. Climbing was involved....she could do that. She smiled weakly at Bella, hopefully his pep talk would help her. He crawled forward to open his door and Ilia did her best to sit by the girl. She picked the two closest doors to them and aimed her wand. This was awkward feeling, she really hated not having full motion. It sort of reminded her of......the feeling of eight hairy legs and a set of pinchers, holding her down. She shut her eyes and took a few deep breaths, doing her best to refocus. "Okay, it'll be better up there." She wasn't sure if she was saying it more for Bella or herself really. "Alohomora." There was one for herself. She now aimed at the one above them. "Alohomora." There we go, it should be roomier right?

Ariadne nodded. Leaving the shoes and gloves here was what she had planned to do anyway, but it was nice to have an older student to agree with that. She didn't have a use for them, and the professor probably wanted them all back anyway. "Thanks for helping me! I'll see you in a little bit," she said.

Rachel's box opened and glowed brilliantly. Hers wasn't a series of random letters but instead it spelt a word. She still repeated each letter individually, however, as was instructed. "B, O, A, T.'' She smiled at her group of friends. "I will see you lot in the other room.'' Yes, she would but for now she headed off in the direction of the door to the room. What would she find there? More boxes?

As Rachel and Azura assured her that she was fine, Esme nodded. That was a relief because she had been rather worried for her friend. "I'm glad you're okay!" she said with a smile. It was time for her to get back to the task at hand.
She would just...keep an eye out to make sure that there weren't any other tumbles.
Making her way back to the wall, Esme placed her hand against the surface, and then her foot. Now began the process of climbing so that she could get one of the boxes. One foot in front of the other, she kept thinking to herself even though her hands were obviously moving as well. This wasn't so bad. She didn't look down, but had a feeling that she was making good progress.
Stopping, she gave a small whistle which sent one of the boxes zooming her way. Awesome. Now she just needed to get back to the ground. Easier said than done with her hands full.
For a moment she contemplated letting herself fall...
Was he offering? He supposed so. As he pushed open the door he had unlocked, he nodded at her. "I'm offering if you want it." That seemed straight forward enough. He wondered if the girl would get credit if she didn't unlock the door herself, but well, it wasn't terribly specific on the board.
Besides, his back was starting to hurt and he needed to continue on. Standing up into the opening created by the now open door, he pulled himself into the new area. Sticky shoes. He chuckled to himself a little, remembering how he had managed to meet Dima and Kyroh that first year. Sticky shoes up into the dorms. It had been quite the work-around.
But nostalgia aside, Thornton reached back down through the opening to offer Chloe his hand and to help pull her through. "Need a lift up?"
NO. She did not need a lift up. She could do this part herself. It was the climbing part she did not want to do. Merlin, boys were so silly.
Chloe didn't even respond to that question, she just lifted herself up through the door (and struggled for a moment) before she came out the other side. See? She didn't need that kind of help. Now, though, for sure she needed assistance.
Could he do the rest of it? "If you want to climb up there and grab it then I'll open the box." That was how the second year wanted to do team work.
"I'm glad you're feeling better." Austin finished putting on his gloves and shoes, he looked up at the ceiling. Boxes were flying about, and a few students had actually got theirs. So maybe this wasn't as impossible as he originally thought. Turning back to Kaylee he said, "Well then this should be easy."
As he began climbing he walls, he realized he spoke too soon. The gloves were really sticky, and it was hard to lift his hand up to move it. Although it means that he won't fall off the ceiling. Speaking of falling, when Austin was about halfway up the wall, he heard a long scream. Looking down, he saw Azura lying on her back. "At least you got the box!" He called down after her.
When he was hanging on the ceiling by his feet and hands, he turned his head to see Kaylee. "So how do you suggest doing this?"
Kaylee smiled " Thank you! I am sorry for taking up your time. She said blushing.
After she put on the gloves and shoes and started to follow Austin up the wall "This is tougher than it looked!" She cried out. It took nearly all her strength to pull her hands and feet from the wall.
By the time she made it to the ceiling she was out of breathe. "That was quite a workout." She glanced around watching some of her fellow classmates. "Well, first we should whistle, in which she tried. It took a few times for her to successfully whistle. She gave a little cheer when the little box came her way. 'Hmmmm where should we put these boxes so we can climb. How about our...'"Pockets!" she exclaimed. After a little bit of a struggle she finally managed to put in her pocket. After she accomplished that she glanced over at Austin "Shall we make our way down?"
Except... Katherine really was afraid of heights...
Yeah, she might have acted a bit angrily and climbed at least as high as he did - and it wasn't even that high. But she made the mistake of opening her eyes and looking down. To her, every metre she'd climbed looked like a hundred. She gasped, tried in vain to clutch on the wall and closed her eyes shut. She hatedhatedhated this and him and the test. She was going to be stuck on this stupid wall, then when the charm wore off she was going to fall and die. She was going to fail and the professor would never think good of her. She wasn't going to prove anything to anyone. She was going to disappoint her parents. It seemed like only she was afraid of the stupid wall - everyone else climbed it as if they had been climbing walls since they were born - which meant, they would always remember her as the girl who was terrified of heights despite all the protective charms ever. She was going to fail her first ever test at Hogwarts - by dying.
She turned her head to other side (eyes still shut), because she didn't want him to see her contorted face in fear. She took a deep breath and reminded herself of the people who had jumped down for cryin' out loud and laughed about it afterwards. She could do it. She could. All she had to do was putting a hand upwards, then a foot upwards, then repeat it for her other side. She was even willing to let go of her shoes, as long as she made it alive from here. So, eyes shut tightly, she did that. A hand, a foot, and repeat. A hand, a foot, and repeat. ...she repeated this for 5 times or so (though to her it felt like five hundred, and felt that she was at a good height now to whistle... except, a lady never whistled, so she just made her mouth a small o and blew air out. Then, she also whispered "A box, please a box!"
...she... had to open her eyes and like... remove one hand off the wall to hold it.
She was going to need an extensive therapy after this lesson.
She figured she didn't need to open her eyes and she took a deep breath (or eight) and........ removed a hand...... to wave it frenetically in an attempt to hit a box. She expected to fall off and die any moment, to be honest. If she didn't die now, she would certainly die while climbing down. So she still had plenty of opportunities to accomplish that.
Anyway, she was also sure no box would come, but there it was! Her hand hit something hard, but the pain felt like the world's best feeling right now. Her eyes hurt from shutting them too tightly for so long, but she didn't dare open them. She held the box under her armpit, and started her most-dreaded descend.

"W, L, K, and C," Davie read out loud as his box clicked open. Cool. So were they going to do something with the letters and numbers they had just received? Something like a little Arithmancy, maybe? He knew he was in Charms and all but the boy liked all the subjects. What were ya gonna do about it.
He got up to move on to the next room and caught Ariadne's reply to him, along with Ava's wave. He waved back of course. "Good! I'm glad you're liking Hogwarts!" Even though she was in Slytherin (it wasn't the best House for him, but for her, he could understand). "Yeah, I'll catch you in the next room for sure!" He was on his way there himself!

Well, alright then. He'd only been trying to be of assistance. Thornton waited until she was through and then looked upward at the wall he was meant to climb.
"I'll.. get two, just in case we need our own codes.." he said as he turned to the gloves and shoes that would let him make his way up the wall. "You sure you don't want to give it a try? It's actually kind of fun." At least, it had been the last time he'd used a pair of these.
But without waiting for her response, Thornton finished lacing up the shoes and tentatively put his hands on the wall. Testing the stickiness, he was satisfied that the charms would hold him. Tentatively at first, Thornton began making his way up on the wall. After climbing a few feet, Thornton looked back down to Chloe..
"See? Not so bad."
