Adi returned Zeke's salute. Clearly Professor Flamsteed's habit was rubbing off on them all. LOL. He grinned at Hady. "Thanks,'' was all he said as he watched her and Zeke. Did they know how cute they looked?

"I tried my best to make it look real,'' Adi said to Margo. "I got my parents to owl pictures of the actual suit and some materials then I just put it all together.'' Not to brag or anything but Adi thought he did a good job... as did everyone gathered there. Oh. Margo had noticed his mood. Well, practically everyone had. "I had a small misunderstanding with my girlfriend and she got mad with me.'' He was touched that she had cared to ask. "But we're okay now. Thanks for asking.''

Zander liked Chocolate Froggies tooooo! Excellent! This was something IMPORTANT for Adi to know. See, it would help in the bro bonding. Hehe. "Great! I've got loads of cards if you're interested in collecting.'' He had too much, actually.

The Badger smiled at Cilla. "Cheer up and enjoy yourself. You can always come find me or Lux if you feel down again.'' Oh look! Peeves! And a another student (Heather). She got a wave from him. Hi, fellow fifth year! (at least he thought she was).

Adi bit into the pumpkin pasty and chewed as he read the board with the instructions. "Seems easy enough,'' he said to the best friend. He reached for his wand which he had stashed at the left side of his suit. "Here goes. Vitari!'' Flick!

WOAAAH!

The sapling started growing at a super fast rate! It was like watching video fast forwarding but this was more fun. Adi quickly got some of the other saplings out of the way as GIANT sized pumpkins began to emerge.

When the charm had done its thing, Adi stood there gaping. "I didn't know pumpkins could grow THAT big,'' he said to Benny in awe. "I could fit two of you in there and there would still be room.''

Yes, it did seem simple enough, Benny quietly nodding in agreement. And hadn't they used the spell at least once if not twice in a herbology lesson. The Gryffindor certainly remembered it as did Adi apparently as the Hufflepuff cast successfully. Perhaps even a bit more then just successfully given the reaction the plant sapling gave to the simple spell.

"Woah!" he couldn't help but let out in surprise as it grew and grew and grew almost pushing out the others until Adi moved them out from around his project. "I didn't either..." Benny agreed before chuckling at the comment. Now he was going to be inside a pumpkin? "I think it suits A--Angel better," he mused, switching from AJ to Angel quickly in hopes to avoid trouble. The whole princess in a pumpkin coach fit the both of them anyway.

"Guess its my turn," the Gryffindor said, moving one of the starter saplings away from the others to possibly avoid Adi's trouble. Just in case. "Vitari!" Ben cast doing the correct wand movement towards the sapling of his choice. Woah....his seedling grew up incredibly fast as well, green vines shooting out from the original plant quickly and spreading out around itself. The fifth year was thankful he had made room.

But that reaction was certainly something he didn't remember from the last usage of the spell. However the pumpkins on his vine weren't all too big once they appeared. In fact in comparison, his collection was far more normal then those on Adi's plant.

"Interesting..."

Taking the marker, he moved in close to write his information on the pot before more were done and he lost track of his.

As Kace was walking around in his red power ranger costume, he was wondering if anyone knew it was him. I mean his face was covered. As he went over to Puck he noticed a slight tap on his shoulder. He turned around and noticed it was Lux in her costume. He grinned and liked it. He lifted off his mask so he could be able to talk. "Oh yeah I do and still do. The red ranger was always my favorite." he grinned sheepishly and it seemed some muggles knew what this show was. He was glad the show didn't die out.

"I am liking your costume though Lux.." he said complimenting on hers. You know women liked to be complimented on their outfits. No biggie. Now off to go talk to Puck.

As he tapped her, he felt Puck jump. He laughed and didn't mean to scare her. Okaayyy maybe he did but it was out of pure fun. "Yup it is.." he said smiling and answering her question. "I am glad you know what the muggle show is." he winked. Star Trek? He gave her a quizzical look and said, "Hmm I have never seen that show before." I guess he hadn't seen everything the muggle world had to offer yet. "You doing the extra credit assignment thing?" he asked to be sure.

Now another tap on the shoulder and he turned around and realized it was his puffer prefect. "Thanks mate.." he grinned and he seemed to really like it. "I thought I would go in something different." he winked. He didn't want to go in a constellation, he wanted something that brought out his childhood. Now onto the extra credit....

As he approached his plant and thought this would be fun. He checked the spell on the board and saw it was Vitari and that seemed easy enough and he just needed to flick it. He approached the potted plant and said, "VITARI!" and then with a flick of his wand he saw....

The pumpkin grow into an average looking size one. He shrugged and he was hoping for a JUMBO one but maybe next time? He had two chances right? He got a name tag and began to label his plant and pumpkin. He thought his pumpkin needed a name. He was gonna name it.

The bow was cute, but Zeke was ready to wander off. "See you later." Smiling, she watched him join Hady and sent the little Snake a friendly wave. Hady was so nice.

PuckWas complimenting her outfit. Awww, everyone was so kind. She laughed at her friend's comment. "I have two costumes, but I like this one so much I might stick to it." The other on she had was Ariel of course. She always was Ariel and maybe changing it up a little was a good idea.

Talking to Cilla about food was making her hungry which wasn't the best idea when she was planning to do her extra credit before anything else. She probably should get started on that now. "Oh, I like to make lots of things," she commented vaguely while looking over at the extra credit area where a group of people was starting to form. "I especially like to bake!"

So Kace liked the red ranger the most. Lux wasn't sure if she had a favourite. "We should watch it together some time," she told her friend before smiling at the compliment. "Thanks! I made it myself!" Seeing him make is way over to the plant area, she decided to follow suit. Time for her to get some work done.

Blink blink. Bliiiiink. "Yep, sparkles!" Did he not know what they were? Norah gave him a pitying look. She could teach him, if he wanted, 'cause she was an EXPERT y'know. When it came to sparkles and flowers, she was a PRO, ok. The third year put one finger on her shimmering sleeve and whispered "Spaaaaarkles" under her breath, just to give him an idea of what they were without being TOO obvious about it. It wasn't nice to draw too much attention to stuff people didn't know, but living a GLITTER-FREE life sounded pretty horrible if y'asked her.

"Ooh! Yoo-rainus. That's supermegacool!" Not Your-anus. And not a gum ball. Awesome. Got it. She grinned at him. "I like the color." BOOM. Pro in the compliment department over here. Making a mental note to ask somebody whether complimenting sparkly plants was a profession she could pursue, Norah's eyes widened in worry when Zander mentioned dents. WHAT IF she dented his supermegacool costume and he got upset with her and never spoke to her again and made sure she never became a prefect and never got into University to study the art Sparkly Plant Complimenting and never got hired and was left complimenting non-sparkly plants forever didn't have money to buy broccoli so she never got to be five feet tall? No. Denting his costume would not do. The thirteen year old shuffled in a full circle around him, sticking her nose up to the costume to inspect it thoroughly before making it all the way back and standing up straight. "NOPE. All good! I think I got a little glitter on you though." He couldn't be mad about that, right? Who could be mad about that?

Norah maneuvered her way to the side of the room to get a look at the entire point of this party thing besides sharing costumes. WAIT. Was that a PLANT pot? It WAS. Elevating onto her tiptoes, she pranced as well as she could in her big star costume right up to the front to pick up a pot. COOL. After poking around to find a purple marker, the third year stepped to the side so she could properly bend over the pot and write 'NORAH KITTREDGE. HUFFLEPUFF THIRD YEAR' in the curliest letters she could write. TA DA. And now she had to cast a charm on it? Would it grow into a FLOWER? OOOOH, or a CHRISTMAS TREE. That'd be good preparation for the rest of the year, uh huh.

There was only so much he could say on the topic of fashion and costumed and putting clothes things together, so that was now exhausted, but he DID like what she was wearing. In fact, he couldn't see a costume that he disliked in the room at all. But then, he did put his together himself, which he supposed was something, but it wasn't out of choice. "I tried to get my mum to send me something, but she didn't so I just threw this together." Reflecting on it now, he could have done something easier... oh well.

Still holding her hand, Zeke tugged Hady to one side of the food table, and grabbed himself a pumpkin pastie. Fuelling up before the activity was a good idea, and free food was never to be turned down - unless it was poisoned. "Mmmm, not yet," he managed to say before stuffing his mouth with his first bite. All that pumpkiny goodness.

Spotting the friendly 'hello' wave from Luxthe second year sent a return wave back. She liked the older girl she had always been really nice to her.

Oh so Zeke had tried to have his mom send him something rather then what he was wearing already. It didn't matter though cause Hady happened to like his costume. Moving on from the clothing topic she followed willing at his side not really having to be tugged much.

Reaching the food table she had no clue what she wanted so she went with the same as her buddy a pumpkin pastie. It happened to be closest to her as well so that helped the choice making. Giggling as she watched Zeke stuffing the treat in his mouth. We can make our way over there together after we eat then, if you wanna? The offer was there if he wanted it.

However it was good time! Being careful not to make a mess of her dress she took a bit of her pumpkin pastie. Yum!

Seeing Hady wave to someone, Zeke turned his head to see WHO... but he wasn't surprised in the least to see that it was Lux, she was nice. Turning back to the food, he considered what he might pick next once he finished his pastie. Maybe a cauldron cake... those were always good.

He'd only just finished swallowing a mouthful when he heard Hady giggling and turned to see what she found so funny... noticing then that she was looking at him. Did he do something? Say something? Was there food on his face? He didn't particularly want to let go of her hand to check if he had bits of pumpkin on his face, so instead, he just rubbed it as best he could on his shoulder. DONE.

"Sounds like a plan to me," he agreed, figuring two heads were better than one, and it was a better way to pass time than by himself. "I wonder if the whole cross-quarter day thing actually makes a difference to magic.." and so the task would give them a fair indication of that, surely.

Still nibbling on her pumpkin pastie she was quiet a moment. His agreement for them to move on to the assignment made her grin at him. Working side by side with Zeke was always a good time. It should be a good time. Oh well I really don't know, maybe. I'll guess we'll find out." She agreed happily.

She might have only been at the party a few minutes but Hady was already lots happier then she had been when she walked in. Earlier she had been having a rough day but it was certainly getting better as it always did. Going back to her pastie she finished it off grabbing a napkin and handing Zeke one still keeping a hold on his hand.

Margo had just noticed Lux waving at her and when she tried to wave back she had already turned away. Margo didn't want to seem rude and she certainly wasn't ignoring her on purpose. So marching right over toward her Margo smiled. "Hey Lux" Margo said smiling. "How have you been?" Margo asked! She was having the time of her life. "I'm glad to see you here!!!" She said thinking Margo loved how many friends she was making.



Then Margo figured it was time to started on the potted plat pumpkin thing. So looking at the board again to see what the spell was, Margo was excited and she was sure that she could do this! Feeling very luck Margo grabbed her want and was so excited she nearly should the spell. "Vitaris" She said and nothing happened........ Oh come one! Why did every single spell she ever do only work half the time.

Getting a little frustrated, this time Margo raised her voice a little. "Vitari" She said and watching as her potted plant grow so fast, it obviously had to be magic. One second it was a little green vine thing and the next it was a fully grown PUMPKIN!!! It was amazing!!!!! But when Margo go closer, she realized it was just an average sized pumpkin, "I expected it to be bigger!" Margo said a little disappointed, but no matter, taking the pot up toward the front Margo wrote:

Kate was starting to feel a little out of place. Everybody seemed to already be grouped up with their friends, and she was just kind of standing around trying to figure out what to do. Lucky for her, she wasn't too bothered by things like that. She's just walk up to a group of people later on and jump right on in! That was when she heard her name being called out by some astronaut. Huh? Who was that? She knew that voice from somewhere. Then she heard the boy talk to somebody else and realized it was Adi. "Hey, Adi!" she said. "Cool costume!"

Kate turned on her heels and walked toward a table filled with flower pots. Hmm. Wondering what was going on there, she stepped up to the table and read the instructions. Oh, cool--they were going to test if magic was stronger Cross Quarter Day, which was on Halloween Day like they'd talked about in class. Kate approached two of the pots then reached for her wand. She wasn't really confident in this spell, but she'd watched a few of the older kids try it.

With a flick toward the first pot, Kate called out, "Vitari!" With her inexperience, she wasn't really sure what would happen, so she took a few steps back. Suddenly, something started sprouting from the pot. Whoaa. What had she done? In the blink of an eye, there was a pumpkin. A regular-sized one, yes, but it was a pumpkin. "That was cool," she said to herself.

Dot skipped into the Spirit Room, pausing just long enough to look for her star cluster pumpkin (GLITTERY, SHINY YAY). She pulled her hood up around her face and tried not to feel overwhelmed about showing up for a party alone. There were party games and people and foooooooood...

So of course she was going to go over and look at the classroom activity. Lil plant things. They were cute. She almost didn't even want them to grow up to be grown up plants.

Dot scooped up one of the little plants and budged over a younger girl who was already at work. "Hi. You got your spell to work first try?" That was amazing... and intimidating. What if Dot couldn't get hers to work first try? Erm. "Vitari!"

Oh. "Darn. Pumpkin. I was hoping for a unicorn tree." And just a regular old pumpkin too.

She didn't know either? Well then they were in for a treat tonight... kinda... not really.. but it'd be fun. At least, TOGETHER it would be fun. "Yep, when you're ready to start just let me know," he would give up food just for her.

With his pastie in his stomach, Zeke started on his cauldron cake, only pausing when Hady handed him a napkin serviette thing. Huh? Was she trying to tell him something? "Fanks," he said through a mouthful of food, pinching it between his fingers, still managing to keep hold of what was left of his cake. Cue grin.

Now onto growing a second pumpkin seed. He really wanted to grow a gigantic one but he did manage to grow a normal one. That was progress. He got the spell down and wand movement. It was really easy and he LOVED the extra credit assignment. As he pointed the wand at the pumpkin and said "Vitari!" with a flick of his wand and he saw it grow.

He saw it grow into a GIGANTIC PUMPKIN.

Woaaahh now THAT was cool. He saw it growing out of control! Ermm....he couldn't stop that. Then as it was growing and growing then it stopped but it was bigger than his pumpkin before. He grinned and was pleased with himself. Now to name this big guy.

He got out his quill and put his name tag on...

Awww, Margo was adorable. "Hey! I've been pretty good, what about you? Enjoying Hogwarts so far?" They hadn't had much time to catch up since the start of term because she was so busy with studying, but she hoped Margo didn't mind. "Thanks! I really like your costume. Is that the kind of work you want to do?" Muggle professions were cool. Her parents had them.

Looking at the instructions for the assignment, Lux saw that she needed to grow a pumpkin using the Vitaris Charm. Sounded pretty cool! Unfortunately she hadn't practiced much with this spell, but things should still go smoothly. Any experience was nice and maybe she'd end up with a pretty pumpkin.

Looking around her, she saw that a few of her classmates had already finished and some of them had really impressive results. Wow. Maybe her pumpkin would be huge too. Hehe. That would be fuuuun.

Looking at all the little seedlings, she selected one to work with. Time to test the theory and see if her magic was more powerful during cross-quarter day.

Kate was still standing there in shock over her sudden pumpkin, when she was budged over by someone else apparently overly eager to get started. Kate rocked a bit then steadied herself on her feet. Looking over, she spotted a Slytherin girl who couldn't have been just a few years older than her. Kate sort of frowned at the girl's actions but said nothing else about it. "Hey," she said, drawing herself into the conversation. "Yeah, but it was just pure luck. I wasn't even sure what would happen there for a second."

Kate's blue eyes flickered toward the girl's wandwork, and she watched while the girl performed the spell, as well. "A unicorn tree would have been cool," Kate agreed. "I'm Kate, by the way." As she said this, she stepped toward a second pot and got within a good aim line of it. "Second time's the charm?" she wondered aloud. Even though people always said it was the third time around. "Vitari!" she said, giving her wand a flick toward the pot. The soil shifted and something rose to the surface, but other than that, there was no big insta-pumpkin like last time. "I think I jinxed myself," she told the Slytherin.

Okay, here goes nothing.

Taking her wand out of her bag, Lux gave it a good flick towards the pot. "Vitari!" Eagerly she watched as a pumpkin grew, but it was a little disappointing to see a standard sized pumpkin with a standard growth rate. Maybe her magic was defective. Or the pumpkin was defective. Stranger things have happened, and picking the plant up, she looked it over carefully. Actually, it was still pretty. Besides, she had another pumpkin to grow and maybe that one would be huge and grow really fast!

Using the provided marker, Lux labelled her plant:

Moving into the room more Peeves looked around seeing someone (Margo) go behind another child (Zeke) he grinned and moved closer.

"Are you afraid of Peeves? If you are afraid you shouldn't be in a room for ghost."

...and poltergeist of course. He cackled a bit and moved closer to the girl. .

Hady giggled at him trying to speak with his mouthful. "You're welcome." Using her own napkin she wiped her mouth making sure she didn't have any crumbs on her face and then wiped her fingers before tossing the napkin into the garbage. All this was done with her hand still firmly placed in his.

"Do you wanna go get started on this activity now?"

Adi was so impressed and in awe with his spell work that he failed to notice Benny had been on the verge of saying AJ's name. "I guess. She does love plants,'' he replied, referring to the little sister Angel. "Doesn't mean you'll keep her in a pumpkin shell.'' Hehe. Adi was referring to that poem 'Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater'.

He stood back to watch Benny have a go. Speedy...His bestie's little sapling grew at an incredible speed too though the pumpkin was smaller. "Nice,'' Adi said. It didn't matter the pumpkin wasn't that huge.

His turn again! "Vitari!'' Another flick of his wand sent the targeted sapling growing though this one was growing sufficiently slower than the first. Heh. Mature green leaves were produced from the vines followed by flowers which in turn developed into pumpkins. Regular looking sized pumpkins.

Oh well.

"Your turn again, Benny.'' In the mean while... Adi grabbed the marker to fill out the required information on both of his pots.

Okay, here goes nothing.

Concentrating on what she wanted the spell to do, Lux flicked her wand at the seeding. "Vitari!" Eagerly she watched the INCREDIBLY RAPID growth of an...average sized pumpkin.

Wow, that was rather anti-climatic after the initial excitement though she did have to admit it was nice to see that the cross-quarter had managed to affect her spell work somewhat. It just would have been awesome to have one giant pumpkin to her name was all.

Picking up the marker again, she made sure to label that pot as well:

Shame she could only do two, because part of her wanted to keep trying for that giant pumpkin, but at least there was a Halloween party to enjoy with her friends. Too bad Bay wasn't there.

Zeke stared, just stared, as Peeves approached them.

"Hi." Yeah, HI. He wasn't afraid, not in the least, but he couldn't say the same for Margo considering she'd said so herself. Whoops?

Poltergeists were odd, but he didn't mind Peeves, though he was sure that was largely due to his not having had any encounters with him. This in itself was sad, though perhaps a blessing in disguise.

"Wanna hear a joke?" he asked Peeves.

See this was why she enjoyed being around Zeke. He was easygoing, rather agreeable and always seemed to be excited about it all. It made things more fun for her. "Lead the way."Hady had no trouble with allowing 'her Lion' to lead her around. With a light returned squeeze to his fingers she followed along side him to the potted seedling display table area.

With her eyes scanning over the instructions on the board it all didn't seem to hard. "You can go first if you like, or we can both give it a go at the same time." Either way Hady didn't much mind just so they were side by side.

And lead the way he did! It was easy enough to manoeuvre around the people with costumes, and there weren't too many people here either, not to mention ghosts you could actually walk through - even if they didn't.

Zeke stood silently as they read over the instructions on the board. It seemed straight forward enough. Two potted plants... Vitari... and label. Easy as beans, surely. "Together?" he asked, casting a sideways glance at Hady. "Do you remember the charm?" he asked, because he remembered, he rather liked Charms.

"Together" She chanted flashing a quick grin his way. Pulling her wand from where she'd had it stored in a holder thing about her waist she nodded her head. "Yeah the charm is 'Vitari' it shouldn't be to hard really." At least she didn't think it would be.

Finding a potted seedling was easy enough as the entire table was full of them. Picking the one she wanted to start with she pointed her wand at it. What was going to happen? Pointing her wand at the potted plant she cast a quick glance at Zeke before receiting firmly "Vitari!" Right away the seedlings began to sprout growing vines and then a flower like thing that bloomed into a pumpkin!

Awesome! Smirking proudly since her charm worked right away she returned her wand to it's holder and grabbed a marker to write on the pot.
