But that's cause even though I do technically have twitters for a few of my characters (Hadley included), I never really go on them. Besides, they take away time from being on SS ....

Don't do it! Don't succumb! You should know that 95% of the tweets made from SS "character accounts" are all [ooc blah blah blah] anyway! So they're really very pointless (at least to me, and that's why I don't have one).

My two cents: I like having the twitter cuz you can keep up with people easier. Yes. They are a lot of OOC stuff. It's a faster way to interact with charries too because most people have it on there phone and aren't on SS everyday.

I fully agree with this! I have tweetdeck so I can have all five charries right there and it's easier to keep up with them, plus I like that it keeps IC present. Some rp's go for awhile so like one I'm in is still from the beginning of term, but twitter I can have them present IC which is around Christmas right now.
I also do like the OOC about it, because it's place to get to know each other better and talk to each other about everything from charries, to work, to just cultures since we are all over the world!

You don't NEED twitter but its useful if you are RL busy and don't have time to fully commit to the RP. Not everyone uses it for ooc chatter, but the ooc chatter is usually RP related to some degree. I personally wouldn't want to use it at the expense of SS... I use it for RPing that I can't do on SS for time or rule related reasons, and because its a fast way to keep track of a huge number of characters. You can always make one and choose not to use it, or only use it sometimes if its not right for you. *two knuts*

When my laptop went haywire and my iPhone wouldn't load SS (STILL WON'T), Twitter was essential in staying on top of things regarding (most of) my SS!titles. I was able to DM/tweet/stay in contact with my MoM employees and get updates about DA things. Luckily, I still had my work computer...but I was limited there as I still had actual work to do. (SO LAME. WHO ACTUALLY DOES WORK AT WORK?!)
...BUT ALSO LIKE TEGAN SAID....it's not for everyone. ..and that's OKAY! We'll still love you whatever decision you make.

There IS a lot, but it's mainly personal charrie stuff (and even then it's not all of it because RPs can be hidden in DMs or on a completely separate forum elsewhere), so you're not really missing TOO much (unless you like to stalk everything about loads of charries XD). Most of the important/main stuff (like plots and classes and other SSRPG things) are done on SS so you won't be missing out on any of that if you want to get involved. Twitter's just a fun little side thing to explore even more of your charrie/chat with other SSers/keep up with SS things if you can't get on SS for a bit/etc., not something you HAVE to have or anything

I actually used Twitter to sort of introduce Lily to SS, however weird that sounds. I started RPing her there, from even before she transferred to Hogwarts, but most importantly, I used Twitter for her fifth year when she was technically at Hogwarts yet I was still RPing my previous charrie here on site. At least, to introduce her to some of the charries here. (Her entire friendship with Alec was essentially entirely on Twitter, but still is a big part of her story.)

#This The school plot seems suspiciously quiet so far. *wonders if this is a part of it* I'm keeping my eyes out for narrator posts or 'out of the blue' posts. If my charrie isn't where plot things happen, I usually stalk from afar 3> Unless one of Tag's friend's is involved then he gets worried and makes me post XD
Tag would stare in awe XD Its always interesting to see/hear what the charries would do, or if posted at the plotty places, what they are doing/saying/ handling the situation. And if Professors or adults show up, how they handle the situation from that point on too
