The first you see is the fishing gear hanging on pins left of the doorway. The librarian is a bit fishing obsessed so he has brought some fishing equipment if time lets him explore the great lake’s fishing possibilities. The next thing you feel is cozy warmth emanating from the roaring fire place nearby. Remembering the chilliness of the halls and rooms in the castle from his years here Mr Kitridge has taken steps to see too that at least one place is warm and comfortable. In the center of the office you see what should be a desk under all the stuff currently placed on it like charts, crammers, stacks of books, an odd telescope or crystal ball and last but not least a big bowl of candy. Behind the desk, a large comfy chair with a pillow in it is situated.
Hanging on the walls around the office are portraits of former notable librarians like Madam Pince, Madam Rowena, Angela Kohan, David Kapoor and Madam Donovan. The collection of portraits/photographs is completed with some Kitridges who've been successful in some way or other through the course of time. No office of a librarian is complete without a curvy s-shaped bookshelf.
OCC: I will not have an arrival thread so please don't clog up the thread with 'waiting to enter' posts. Have your character knock on the door and then wait for Mr Kitridge to allow you to enter or to come back later. If you have any questions or want to set up a meeting don't hesitate to PM or VM me.
Having never actually held a long, proper conversation with the new Ravenclaw Head of House, Sophie thought it was appropriate to stop on by during the first week of school. Best to get on his good side early on, yeah? She was awfully bummed that Elwood had left - they had become pals straight away during Sophie's first term - but now she had a new Head to befriend.
As she neared the man's office door, the third year tried to recall every time she had interacted with him in the past. Every situation seemed to have been all business in searching for a book for studying, as she could recall, and never just... a person talking to another person conversationally. That was a misstep on her part, but who could blame her for normally being a kid on a mission upon setting foot in the library? It felt like a proper place of business.
Knocking on the door, Sophie took a step back, uncharacteristically nervously smoothing down her robes as she waited for a response.

The first week back after summer vacation Leo saw as his adjusting back into the swing of things week. He preformed the most acute takes and noted what he needed to devote more time to later. Now that his duties had been extended to also encompass the duties that came with being Head of Ravenclaw House, Leo envisioned a busy year for himself. A vision that was quite lovely.
With a steaming cup of camomile tea next to his right hand Leo sat at in quiet of his office and cross –referenced book lists with his library inventory book and copying over the new editions when he heard a knock on the door. Stealing a glance at his watch, he shook his and went to answer the door. Who could be up at this early hour?
Unlocking his door, Leo pushed a hand through his messy curls as he opened the door. Beaming out at the waiting student he said "Good morning, Sophie right? Would you like to come in?"

Oh, hello? Someone had thought to come to see the new Head of House just ahead of Mo, and he wasn't at all surprised to see little Sophie entering the Head's office just as Mo himself took to the corridor. Well, this was a bit awkward. Should he stay, or... should he come back later?
It didn't hurt to knock, at least, and let the librarian know that he wished to speak to him shortly. Mo politely knocked once before stepping back. He'd be happy to come back later, honestly.

Suddenly feeling unprepared and unsure of what to say, Sophie considered running off and abandoning today's mission, but soon enough, the door was opening and the third year plastered on a big smile. The man's uncertainty of her name was disheartening, but she played it cool. "Morning, sir - yep, s'me! Sophie Brown." He had to know her well as a primary Gobstones player for Ravenclaw, yeah? Practically a superstar?
Accepting the invite to come inside, Sophie moved toward the center of the room and pulled an unopened box of crystallised pineapple, her favorite sweets, from deep in her robe pocket and offered it to Kitridge. "Just wanted to stop by and congratulate you properly on your new position, sir. Ravenclaw's lucky to have you as our new Head." There was a genuine smile on her face now and her body language was relaxed - until there was a knock on the door, and Sophie wondered if the librarian was usually this popular of a man to have two visitors at once. Curious.

"It's really nice to see you Sophie! Did you have a good summer vacation?" Leo asked genuinely interested to know the answer. Moving away from the door to the let Sophie step into his office, he followed soon after when she was inside and closed the door after them.
Gesturing that she could sit down in one of the comfy chairs by the unlit fireplace Leo was about to sit down in the other when Sophie surprised him with a box full of crystallised pineapple sweets. Accepting the box he couldn’t help but blush just a little at her. "Thank you so much for this Sophie. Crystallised pineapple sweets I haven't eaten since I was about your age. And thank you for believing that I’ll be a good head for your house. I hope I can fill Calista's shoes. I know she was loved by you eagles very much."
Leo was about to ask Sophie another question when he was distracted by another knock on the door. "Excuse me, just a moment Sophie." He said as he moved to open his office door again. Who could it be this time? A professor or another student?
Peering out at the senior claw Marcus Branxton, Leo flashed him a warm smile. "Good morning, Marcus! Did you wish to speak to me in private? I've already got a visitor inside." If the nature of his visit wasn’t very private then Leo wouldn’t mind chatting with Marcus and Sophie at the same time.
As soon as she had heard rumors of a secret room in Ravenclaw tower, she had decided that she was going to go in there. At some point, preferably this year. The fourth year had come to the conclusion that the most logical way to do so would be to ask the her Head of House. Of course, she would pose the question so it would seem as if she was asking if the room existed in the first place. Truthfully she didn't doubt it's legitimacy, this was Hogwarts after all, but she wanted to see if she could glean some useful hints about how to get in from the librarian. Stepping up to his office door she knocked carefully. Hopefully he would be in and free? Otherwise she could just find him later in the library or the halls.

"I did, sir, yes, thank you," Sophie replied brightly, turning the question back around to him, "And I hope you did as well - nice time off?" She assumed he did - didn't all professors love to be away from the students for a little while? Just made sense.
Taking a seat gladly, the third year stole a glance around the office curiously while he spoke, surprised that he seemed so surprised by her gift. He really must not have gotten student suck-ups too often, then, huh? She smiled, happy to have touched him so, "You're right, sir - I loved Professor Elwood as our Head, but I never took her class, whereas I do visit the library and play Gobstones under your advising, so it'll be nice to have a Head of House I'll see around more often." She had opened her mouth to go on, but that was when the knock on the door occurred, and Sophie waited anxiously to see who it was -
Marcus.
"Mo?" Sophie grinned, rising from the seat to hurry over to the door. "Moooo." She extended a hand for him to take, further inviting him inside, even though Kitridge's invitation was probably enough. "If y'wanna talk to him in private, I'll go." Or they could have a Ravenclaw party. His choice.

It was super awkward to be interrupting the private time that Sophie was trying to have with their Head of House, and Mo felt kind of awful about it. He shuffled about in the doorway for a few long moments before offering the most dignified shoulder-straightening he could imagine.
"I hate to take up your time, sir, but I'm here about my badge. The Headmistress told me I had to turn it in to you straightaway." And there was no time like the present. Mo's face was tightly stoic, although there was all sorts of misery in his eyes. "I can come back later, if you'd prefer."

Listening to Mo's errand for coming to see him Leo said calmly after Sophie had already offered to leave so that Mo could talk to Leo alone or they could talk together. "It's up to you Marcus. Would you like to come in and leave the badge now with Sophie present or do you want to come back later when I'm free? I don't have any meetings or appoitments today so I'm available whenever you want.”
He had noted the misery mirrored in the boys eyes. He knew this was painful for the seventh year boy to do in his last year but they had to take the threat seriously and that meant no playing Qudditch.

Heading back to his office with a tray of food from the kitchens Leo came back to his office to find a student waiting for him. Flashing her a beam, he said "Hello, Tora right? Did you wish to speak to me?" Pulling out his keys Leo managed to open his office door without dropping his food tray in the process.
Pushing the door open with his right foot Leo led the way inside calling over his left shoulder. "Please close the door behind you when you come in. I don't want to risk my puffskein sneaking out." Especially since there were lots of kneazles about and other creatures that could see little Wilhelmina as their next meal something Leo didn't want to risk. He had grown really attached to his little furry companion.

...Kitridge hung out with Culloden and Thompson? Ha! "So did I!" Sophie grinned, a sort of quirky smile playing upon her lips. "Well, not the Professor Bellaire part - but Professor Culloden came over and had tea with my mum and me - he's my mentor and all - and when I visited Tobes' house - y'know Tobias Tempus? - 'parently he's neighbors with Professor Thompson and Fuller, 'cause they're roommates or something, and they let Tobes and I swim in their pool." She was glowing with excitement. Best summer ever for sure.
It was nice of him to make such a suggestion. "Thanks, sir. I'll keep it in mind." Far more accessible than Elwood ever was, that was for sure. It was nice that Kitridge wasn't off in some distant tower and wasn't opposed to frequent visitors.

Clasping Mo's hand, still wanting to encourage him to come inside, her previously excited expression turned somber. Badge business. Ugh. Though Sophie almost scooted closer to Mo to hug his arm, she had a feeling that he wanted to look dignified and adult-like in the presence of his new Head of House, so she stayed put, but kept hold of his hand and gave it a squeeze.
And she did her best to silently transfer all positive emotions she could to the poor guy.
Adrienne loved the library. She never spent as much time in here as she liked, mostly due to lack of proximity to the Ravenclaw common room (seriously, whose idea was that?). But she couldn't be more thrilled to have Kitridge as her new Head of House, and that wasn't even sarcastic this time. Plus she wanted to get off on a good foot with him, so that in the future if she ever needed to be bailed out of trouble she could rely on him to be on her side or give her the benefit of the doubt. Also, maybe he'd let her into the Restricted Section without a note. She'd always been intensely curious about what was in there. Maybe she could forge a signature...
She was snapped out of that particular line of thought when she reached the door to Kitridge's office. Shifting the large tray that she was holding to free up an arm, Adrienne knocked a cheery five-beat rhythm on the door, the kind that seemed to demand a two-knock response. Hello, student here with cookies and questions?

Tora flashed a friendly smile back at Kitridge and was about to help him with is office door, but he was already inside before she could offer. Interesting that he used Muggle keys instead of a locking spell... before she could help herself she asked, "Why don't you use your wand?" while pushing the door closed behind her. "I mean that's not what I wanted to ask, but I just thought of it," she added after realizing that she was already distracting herself from the task at hand. She waited a few moments, taking in the office, and the fishing supplies, before asking her real question.
"So I heard that there was a secret door to somewhere in Ravenclaw tower," she continued conversationally, seemingly disinterested in such a fascinating rumor. Her tactic had switched slightly from direct asking, to casually bringing the topic up in conversation. She could always come up with another reason to seek out the librarian if he asked what she "really" came here for. In fact, she was still researching how to become an animagus, which was a legitimate excuse.

He didn't know what to call it. Mo pulled his hand free and ruffled Sophie's hair before turning back to the librarian. "Actually, sir, I was wondering... if maybe I could keep it? Just until the end of term? I know it doesn't mean I'm anything other than regular old Mo, but it encourages me to try to... be more on my own? To be a captain without being the captain. I'll give it back at end of term. No one will miss it or anything."

"That's nice Sophie. I didn't know Professor Culloden is your mentor. What does he mentor you in, Potions?" Probably Leo reasoned since brewing potions were Cosgrach specialty. "Tobias I've probably run into the library. He's in Hufflepuff right?" That Javy and Piers were roommates weren’t exactly a surprise considering how close mates they were. And Sophie was going to remember his offer if she needed someone or an adult to talk to.
------
Leo turned his full attention to Mo and immediately shook his head sadly "I'm terribly sorry Mo but you have to turn your badge in now as Headmistress Bunbury instructed on the train. It's for your own safety. Until the Aurors make a breakthrough in their investigation into the threat against student athletes and quidditch players in particular we can't risk taking any chances. For all we know the person(s) behind the threat could be looking to target you and the other ex captains West and Kaiden with their next attack and that is the last thing we want. So please give me the badge Mo." If he could allow it then Leo would have gladly let Mo keep his badge but at the current time no.
"There are other ways to be a captain/leader of Ravenclaw house. You don't need a badge to be a good role model for the other years. From what I've heard you take interest in the younger eagle's wellbeing as well as your peers which is very commendable of you." Here he nudged his head Sophie direction as an example. "And you take your studies seriously and aim to do well in classes." Leo finished off. If he had to he could probably count off even more ways Mo shined as a student leader of his house to cheer the sad boy up.

Hello, student here with cookies and questions?
This day had so far in Leo’s opinion been anything but good. Everything that could get screwed up had. It was just one of those days where he wished he had stayed in bed. With a headache burning behind his temples Leo made his way back to his office to get himself a pain relief draught. With his mind on the headache he didn’t acknowledge the student standing outside his door until he was within a few feet from her.
Plastering on a smile even if he wanted to grimace he greeted the girl. "Hey there, Adrienne right? Are those cookies for me?" Pulling out his wand from its holster he used it to lock up his door. Holding his door up Leo asked "Would you like to come in? Because Adrienne was probably here to see him for some other reason than to just offer him cookies.

Looking over at Tora as he sat down his food tray on the little side table by the comfy chairs he said thoughtfully. "I use my wand most of the time but considering that I was carrying a tray it was easier to reach for the keys then to unbuckle my wand from its holster." Gesturing that Tora could sit down in the purple comfy chair, Leo took a seat in the blue one. "Would you like something to eat or drink?"
Settling back in his comfy chair trying to block out the rumbling sounds coming from his stomach Leo focused on Tora’s question. Smiling he nodded. "Yes actually there is a secret door in Ravenclaw Tower that leads somewhere but it’s not easy to find it. I'm not even exactly sure where it is. All I know is that it's hidden behind something." He wasn't about to spoil where the location was since Leo was had a house activity planned for it later during the year.

"Hi, yes, thanks!" Adrienne said with a smile, entering the office, which had... much more fishing gear than she'd expected, but was otherwise just about what she would have guessed. Nice and cosy, candy that she surreptitiously grabbed a few pieces of and stuffed in her pocket, books everywhere, and a squishy looking chair. Perfect. Without further invitation, she plopped the plate of cookies on his desk, giving them a fond look. They were chocolate chip, and had elaborate blue frosting letters spelling out Head of House, and then one with the Ravenclaw crest on it. She was quite proud of them, to be honest. Not that she'd made them, of course, but she'd convinced some of the House Elves to make them for her, and she'd supervised and given criticism which, in her opinion, was a big job in and of itself. Besides, it had been her idea.
She flopped down into the chair which, yes, was just as comfy as she'd expected, and got right down to business. "Okay, so, two things. First of all, I'd like to welcome you to being Ravenclaw Head of House! As the cookies probably made clear." Adrienne sprang up again as quickly as she had sat down. "Plus I don't think we've ever been properly introduced, which is ludicrous, because you're the librarian, and I'd be in here all the time if I could." She stuck out her hand to shake and gave a rapid-fire introduction. "Adrienne Rebecca Colbert, fourth year. Ravenclaw, obviously."
[FONT="Georgia"]"That's nice Sophie.

"Uh huh, he mentors me in life." She was pretty happy about that, couldn't he tell? "But potions, too. S'my best subject. I made him my mentor right after his first class last term. Saw the greatness in him, y'know? And he apparently saw it in me, too, 'cause he made me his protege pretty gladly. He's a cool guy. S'like my second dad - lotta wisdom and insight. M'glad you guys are friends." And, though she wasn't going to say it out loud and embarrass Culloden, she was pretty sure she was helping him, too.
She nodded at Toby being a Hufflepuff. Of course he was. Sophie was positive that, if someone had to pick a Hufflepuff out of a line-up with Tobes in it, he would get called upon straight away. Maybe it was his smile or his baby face or the way he couldn't stay still, as if his joy was constantly trying to purge itself from his being. She wasn't sure, but there was just something overwhelmingly Hufflepuff about him.
Though she wasn't all over Mo, Sophie was squeezing his hand like he'd defy gravity and never be able to come back down again if she let go. It was meant to be encouraging, but it probably was stressing him out - she realized that only when Kitridge denied the request to keep the badge, and Sophie deflated, dropping Mo's hand. But why? "'Scuse me, sir, but you said... their next attack, like they've already attacked before. Have they? Did someone get hurt?" All along, Sophie had doubted how serious the threat was, but if there was someone who had already been attacked over it... well, that made the situation seem a lot more dire.
Then, as if she felt that both of them needed to hear it, she stated firmly, "Mo will always be our captain and best leader." No offense to Nigel and Dora. "He's looked out for all of us more than anyone. He's patient and kind and caring and soft-spoken and good-humored and knowledgeable and sincere, even with the first years, and..." And what? She didn't know, so she just shrugged. She wanted to tell Kitridge that Mo deserved a badge, and they should consider making Mo a co-prefect with Nigel. But... she was almost certain Mo wouldn't like that, because it might make him uncomfortable or embarrassed to have a little third year fighting for him. Mo probably wanted to hold onto whatever pride he had left.

It had been a long shot, and Mo knew that, but it was still hard to hear. Mo had been furious at the Headmistress for this decision, for not caring about the morale and well-being of the student body, but he wasn't at all mad at Kitridge. The man was obviously just as captive to the rulings of the Head as everyone else.
"It's okay, sir. I knew... I didn't expect more than that." Mo pulled the badge from his inner pocket and held it clutched against his chest for a long moment. "It was... it meant the world to have the opportunity to lead. So thanks for that." Probably, it would be nice to just be a regular student again.
He started to hold out the badge and paused. "I heard that some people are going to get theirs back at the end of term as a keepsake. Would that be possible?"

Mo jumped a bit when Sophie spoke up, and Mo turned a fond look to his little friend. She was a good egg, and a very good friend to speak on her behalf. He tugged the end of her hair gently. "Thanks, Soph, but it's okay. We're going to have a great term this year, and it doesn't matter who has a badge or not. I was thinking of making up a new sport for the Common Room where the floor is lava and you have to get from the door to the stairs without losing a leg."
It was a pretty easy, baby game, but it would be extra challenging in a big room with plushy furniture like the common room. "Or we can come up with a new game together and teach the 'Claws. Mophie Ball?" Mo gave Mr. Kitridge a small grin and ruffled Sophie's hair again.
I know you won't tell her where it is... but Tora doesn't know that ;)

Gesturing that Tora could sit down in the purple comfy chair, Leo took a seat in the blue one.
Tora perked up at Kitridge's response. He had totally fallen for the bait! She suppressed a smug grin by gratefully taking the seat offered her. "Thank you," she said politely, Gram's manners had been instilled in the girl form an early age. "No thank you, I just finished eating a snack from the Kitchens myself." Polite smile. All good? Yes? Once Tora had deemed her mannered obligations fulfilled, she slumped back a bit into the really comfy chair.
"That's interesting. What sort of thing do you suppose it's hiding behind?" Tora continued on the train of conversation, hoping that she didn't sound too, too eager. Really, she only wanted to know for her own nefarious purposes. Perhaps, if she couldn't get an answer from Kitridge, she could try asking the Room of Requirement for a passage there. Would that even work? Tora's problem solving mind spun away from herself and she had to jerk it back to the present before it got so far off she wouldn't be able to call it back when the librarian answered her.
Gwen had never met her new Head of House, but now was as good a time as any. Especially since she had a very serious important question to ask him. Of course, she wasn't stupid enough to bring it. She was definitely planning to pose the question as a hypothetical. That way if he said no, he wouldn't know it was already done. If he said yes, then she had nothing to worry about.
Of course, Zeke said it was always better to ask forgiveness than permission, but Gwen didn't want to lose her house points, and she was hoping that Mr. Kitridge was reasonable. It wasn't as if Gwen couldn't take care of it. She was perfectly capable.
That in mind, she took a deep breath and knocked on the door to Mr. Kitridge's office.

Okay, let just work this out. Cossy was Sophie's mentor in life as well as potions. He was a knowledgeable man Leo supposed and he himself too his mates advice sometimes so why not student's too? "So, you’re thinking of becoming a potions master after you graduate?" Leo asked curiously. If Sophie after all had the talent and skills for it why not build a career around it?
Eyes widening in small shock Leo flailed with his arms. "Oh, Merlin no, you misunderstood me Sophie. I apologize if I was unclear. I just don’t want Mo to become a target of the person(s) who sent in the threat to the school and the other places since they seemed to really dislike quidditch. If Mo wears his badge around the school even if we’ve upped the security and we have auror’s patrolling the castle and grounds he might get targeted by the person(s) behind the threat and that is the last thing we want. For his safety and protection he can’t wear the badge. I’m not taking away his badge to be mean Sophie I just want to keep him safe and well protected." A perfectly good reason seeing as he was their head of house and a member of staff.
As Sophie threw herself in an ode to all of Mo’s good qualities Leo steered his attention back on the senior boy.

"You've been a good leader for Ravenclaw Mo and I'm really grateful for everything you’ve done for the house so far. I really hope you’ll continue to lead your house mates because they look up to you," Like Sophie for example. Waiting for Mo to give him the badge Leo responded to his query [b]"I can talk to the headmistress and ask if you can get it back as a keepsake at the feast at the end of the year. But I can't promise you’ll get it back." It was after all not up to him.
Getting excited as Mo started braining up ideas for the common room Leo tagged on voice full of excitement. "A lava floor game sounds fun! I want to know more about Mophie Ball. Is it a game with a muggle football?" Hopefully both Mo and Sophie understood that he was just following orders.

Could Adrienne just slow down a little? His head was throbbing and the girls mouth that ran like an attacking snake didn't make things easier it, if possible made it worse. Holding up a hand to stop her Leo went around his desk to pull out a pain relief draught.
Downing the liquid in a few gulps he explained "I'm sorry. I just had to take something for my head ache, bad morning." Putting the used up potion on the desk he went around his desk again to shake the girl's out stretched hand with a broad smile. "It's please to meet you Adrienne. I'm Leobald Kitridge, the school Librarian, newly appointed Ravenclaw Head of House and Gobstones sponsor."
Gesturing to the cookies he asked. "Are you thinking of becoming a baker after you graduate from Hogwarts? Those cookies look really pretty and delicious." Now he just had to wait for the pain relief draught that Cosgrach had supplied him with to work its magic.

Pausing with a fork full of pasta hanging in the air Leo said thoughtfully. "I don’t know. I suppose secret entrances could be hidden in plain sight like behind curtains or under furniture even. But I hope you're not planning on turning the common room upside down just to see if you can find a secret entrance? Every common room needs its mysteries."
Deciding to steer away from the topic of secret passages and entrances he asked. "Did you have a good summer vacation?"

Taking a small rest in his office after working non-stop to re-organize the storage room to his satisfaction Leo was just about to close his eyes for a moment when he had a knock on the door. Giving his kneazle a glance he said to her "I guess I'll just have to take a rest later, don’t I Madonna?" Passing by his kneazle Leo gave her an affectionate pat on the head between the ears before he went to answer his door. Looking out at the girl standing there he beamed. Passing by his kneazle Leo gave her an affectionate pat on the head between the ears before he went to answer his door. Looking out at the girl standing there he beamed. "Good day Gwen, would you like to come inside?"
He knew her name. Gwen shouldn't have been surprised by that, but she was. It was vaguely disconcerting, someone who you'd never personally met knowing your name. Did the professors feel that way all the time? When the little first years came in and said hello, using their names? Gwen had never realized before how weird that was. She brushed it off. He was her Head of House. It was his job to know everyone's name.
"Yes please," she nodded in response to his offer. "I wanted to talk to you really quickly." She spotted a cat-like thing in the office behind him. It was a kneazle! Maybe he would be open to the idea of strange pets if he owned a kneazle! "Also I wanted to congratulate you on becoming Ravenclaw's Head of House." Because that was polite, wasn't it? Was that something to be congratulated on, or just an extra responsibility? It was probably a pretty hard job. Sort of like a fill-in parent for kids while they were at school. That would suck, Gwen decided. Good for him for wanting to do it.
"Let me know if you change your mind about the food Tora." Leo said as he dug into his pasta. He couldn’t think well with his stomach rumbling and he had a feeling that he needed to be able to use his wits.

Behind curtains (or tapestries?). Under Furniture. Got it. Tora jotted down mental notes in her mind before allowing herself to continue the conversation at hand. "No, of course not! I was only curious," Tora said innocently. Heh. She wouldn't turn the common room upside down, though thinking about it...that might be a fun idea, she might turn it inside out or completely out of order. All in the name of discovery, I assure you. Every common room needed it's mysteries, of course, just not to Tora. It's mysteries were there for her to ascertain.
Her summer? Tora repressed the wave of dislike and irritation she associated with the past summer. "It was good," was all she said on that matter. "And yours?" always good to be polite! "Did you go... fishing?" she asked after a beat and a quick look about.

Sophie was sad for Mo. Really sad. She didn't understand why Mo couldn't have it if he promised not to wear it or anything, or why others could get theirs back at the end of the term and he couldn't. Did the professors not think he was worthy?
Still, despite her disagreement with his rulings, Sophie nodded once. "It's nice of you to think of his safety." Because that was true. A dead Mo was not a good Mo. And then, shortly after... Kitridge did go on to say he would talk to the Headmistress about letting Mo get it back at the end of the term! Ha! She was glad she kept her mouth shut, then, since Mo's calm way with words had succeeded. Or, at least, succeeded enough for right now - Sophie, for one, would take the victory of Kitridge just talking to Truebridge about it.
But when Mo tried to leave, Sophie held onto his arm, letting her know she was coming, too, before she even spoke up. "Nah, it's okay, I should probably go anyway. We can go work out the rules of Mophie ball, hmm?" She grinned up at Mo, not entirely caring if they did go brainstorm rules, but she DID want to go with him and talk to him about what just went down and the possibilities for the rest of the term. "Nice talking to you, sir. Hope to make you proud in Gobstones this term." She saluted, then, because it seemed appropriate to salute. Totally polite of her.
