Front Cars The driver and snack lady sit waaaaaay up front in the driver's cab, but there are plenty of other compartments up here! Careful you don't sit in the Prefects' cab though. They bite. |
for anyone~ :3 Ellinia clutched her snow globe close to her chest as she peered through the compartment doors. Hogwarts. She had never thought that would happen. Ellinia had spent most of the summer helping her parents move into the new house after moving from California. She had not been expecting to move anywhere remotely close the magical school at all. Nope. She didn't even know that she would be moving here. If she was supposed to go to a magic school, she was pretty sure she would've ended up in Salem. Because surely that school was closer than a whole ocean. Nope. She ended up moving across that ocean and large land mass and ending up here. She was on a train. A magic train. And it was going to be a magic school. Magic. Ellinia Calypso Lexington had magic. She had not been expecting that all. Cradling the snow globe carefully under one arm, Ellinia slid open a door to an empty compartment and sat down. She placed the snow globe on her lap before shaking it. The snowy white glitter sparkled before it landed on a castle. The Hogwarts castle. Her mommy had given her that as a good luck present for her first year away. And it was sparkly. Oooh... snow... |

SPOILER!!: You two! Now Leah and her kneazle made their way to the front of the train, and randomly peeked through a door. It seemed vacant at first, but a closer look told her that there were two girls in there, probably introducing themselves. The second year skipped into this scene. "Hello, do you mind if I sit down?" She pointed at the seat opposite them. "I hope I wasn't interrupting," she apologized, "Er... I'm Leah, second year, and this is my kneazle, Filomena." Leah thought that it was not right to stay quiet when one girl was introducing herself already. "Nice snow globe you have there." She commented. |
SPOILER!!: you two lovelies ♥ Ellinia looked up from her snow globe when she heard the intruder speak. Eyes wide in surprise she didn't know what to say. Instead, she jumped slightly in her seat before standing and smoothing out her clothes with one hand. If they could even be considered clothes - she was wearing her first year robes. Her mommy had said they would be pretty and magic-y. Ellinia just found them itchy. "T-thank you," Ellinia muttered, shaking the girl's hand. WAS HER HAND SWEATY? She really hoped not. The girl quickly sat back down and placed her snow globe back on her lap, causing the fake snow in the globe to spin around before settling slowly. "I'm Ellinia and I'm also a... uh... f-first year," she said, giving the girl a small smile. People were talking to her. That was weird. Hogwarts people were nice like her mommy had said. She held her snow globe a little bit closer when she heard the door open. Another person was here. Was she popular now? Was it the snow globes? She knew her sisters were wrong when they said that she'd be weird if she kept carrying around a snow globe. "Oh, uh, no, please sit down," Ellinia said, gesturing to a seat before quickly grabbing her snow globe. She didn't want it to flop and crash to the ground. That would be horrible. And the girl had a kitty. Except the girl called it a kneazle. What was a kneazle? Was it a common thing? She'd pretend it was. "I'm Ellinia," she said. "It's nice to meet you," Ellinia added quickly. Because the girl was older. This Leah was a second year. That meant she had been at the school for two years. So it would be manners. Right? "That's a really nice kneazle," she said. |

Derry was pretty unimpressed with today, Hugo had woken her up at stupid o'clock, and then she'd spent hours waiting around for her dad to take her down to London... which he hadn't. Her parents had both been pre-occupied and things were running over and she was getting later and later... So she'd come by herself in the end. Not impressed. Her last year at Hogwarts and she'd come to the station by herself. Great. She got her trunk on the train, then searched for an empty compartment. It didn't take her long, and she hadn't had to scowl at anyone for being in the way yet, so at least that was a small victory. She found a compartment and closed the door behind her, chucking her bag on a chair and falling heavily into one of the seats by the window. Well, at least she was sat down now. Derry grabbed one of her lollipops from her bag and unwrapped it quickly, hiding the rest of them. She wasn't in the mood to share sweets today, people. Not in the mood. Grump. Huff. Grr. Time to stare out the window dramatically and attempt relaxing. |
Quote:
Carrying his trunk along, Caleb looked for an empty compartment but most of them seemed to be full already. Blehhh. That meant he had to SHARE. A few compartments later, however, he noticed a familiar face and slid open the door. "Hey Derry! Mind if I join you?" Caleb asked his fellow snake and Quidditch teammate. She didn't look too...erm...ENERGIZED today, if that was the right word for it. Ah well, she would surely cheer up in the company of his awesomeness, yeah? |
Quote:
She closed her eyes and leaned her head back, wishing they could just get going already. It felt stupid to come down to London just to head all the way back up to Scotland again, but at least she'd see her friends... probably... if they turned up... though to be honest it was probably her fault for not looking for them. But she still had gifts to give them from her travels. Eh, oh well. Derry's eyes snapped open when she heard the door go and she crunched the rest of her lollipop. Oh... "Hey, Caleb." she said, smiling a little at the boy. "Yeah, sure, sit down, it's fine." She sat up a bit so she wasn't spread out over three seats - thank you lanky legs - and chucked her bag on the floor. "You alright?" |

Play wiff me? :3 Gary was not pleased. NOT pleased at all. As he found himself an empty compartment after pushing some people off his way, he was wondering why his parents always insisted that he took the train to the school every year. The train was filthy and it was full of annoying people. Always crowded. Gary hated crowded places. Really, did he have to suffer this twice every year? Was not there any transportation service to take him to the school? He bet there would be even if such a thing didn't exist if you paid enough for it. Sighing his frustration out. The Slytherin boy tried to get more comfortable on the filthy compartment seat of the filthy train. As he did so, his eyes met his, kind of small yet vicious looking owl with a sharp beak, owl's who seemed to be glaring at the people outside the compartment, reflecting her owner's mood. Meh... |
Penelope walked around, looking for a compartment to sit in. Spotting a compartment with a few girls who looked her age, she entered the compartment. "Hi, I'm Penelope. Can I join you?" she asked, looking around the compartment. One of the girls had a Hogwarts snow globe. "That's a pretty snow globe," she said. |

For Anyone :3 The time had finally arrived! Valon was that much closer to stepping on Hogwarts grounds. Leaving his mother was the toughest part of all this, not because he was going to miss her but because he didn't want her to be alone. They were still new to England, after all. After securing his trunks he made his way to the compartments, there were crowds of people and all he wanted was a place to sit and probably read a book or play with his cat, Gatinho. Looking left and right compartments were filling up quick! My goodness there were lots of people here. The new soon-to-be Hogwartian spotted a compartment, upon all the chatter going on around him he smiled and settled for the empty compartment. First things first, Valon arranged his carry-on next to him and placed his cat on his lap. Sighing and feeling a tad bit nervous all of sudden, the sixteen year old looked out the window and traced his name on it. |
Quote:
A girl with bright red hair had scoured the train thus far and hadn't found a compartment yet that she could sit in. She was throwing glances into the windows. Each so far was full, or was occupied by someone she knew she did not get along with. She passed one compartment that was empty except for one boy, and she thought she spotted a cage. Kanna backtracked, unsure if she wanted to venture further down the train and risk being crammed into a compartment. Tapping politely on the glass, she poked her head in, pulling her shoulder bag close to hers o people could still walk by. "Excuse me," she said, "May I join you?". She did not recognize the boy, which she liked, but he did not appear to be the most jovial right now, which discouraged her. She was ready to politely nod and leave, something that she needed to be ready to do more often. |
The compartment she had entered was getting crowded. Too crowded for Penelope. She exited the compartment and went to find a compartment with fewer people in it. Most of the compartments were full, but she found a compartment with two other people in it and entered the compartment. "Hi, I'm Penelope. I'm a first year," she said, "What are your names?" |
After spending the majority of the Summer holiday away from England Ana had been happy to return to spend the few weeks left of Summer holidays with her boyfriend. She was even happier now though to be settled on the train back to Hogwarts. It was her sixth year and Ana had been delighted that her mother had kept her promise and not pulled her from the school to send her back to Durmstrang, despite the fact that her first school would always hold a special place in her heart. Ana had managed to lose Terry somewhere in the mass of students and parents on the platform but she wasn't unduly worried about it. She'd see him at school if not beforehand and she didn't mind sitting by herself. Maybe she'd even see some friends on the train? Who knew. Entering the front cars Ana found an empty compartment and dropped down inside it, leaving the door open in case anyone needed to join her, getting out a book to read on the journey. |
Quote:
As she reached the front of the train, she saw her good friend Ana sitting alone in one of the compartments, which made her smile because Ana was awesome. Heading over to the doorway, she stood in the threshold, knowing that the polite thing to do would be to ask to join instead of randomly walking in and sitting down. "Hey, Ana. Mind if I join you?" |
Quote:
Just as Ana finished the chapter a voice interrupted her reading and she looked up, a welcoming smile on her lips. "Of course you can Lux," she said warmly, happy to see the younger girl again. "You don't need to ask," she added, as she marked her spot in the book with a piece of ribbon before putting it down on the seat next to her so that she could give her friend her full attention. |
Quote:
Stretching her legs out in front of her, Lux got herself comfortable on the seat. "So you excited to go back? Where is Terry?" She had not spoken much to him, and always felt that it would be great to get to know him better. Hopefully that would happen this term, and no one else would start ageing again because that would be dreadful. Once was enough, and Lux never wanted to witness it again. Things at Hogwarts were going to be perfect, she kept telling herself. |
Quote:
"I am pretty excited. I can't wait to see people again and all that, although I do hope this year I wont be forced to look like my Babushka because some healers are idiots and don't run tests before deciding to give people new cures," she added, frowning at the thought of all the aches and pains she'd had to suffer through, as well as at the broken ribs since her bones had been more brittle than they would normally be. At least the experience had cured her of her fear of the healer though. "As for Terry I don't know. I lost him in the crowd earlier and figured we'd find each other eventually," she told Lux, waving her hand slightly to indicate her indifference. It wasn't that she wouldn't love to be spending time with Terry, because she would, but time apart could also be good especially since they'd been living in each others pockets for the past few weeks and she didn't want him to start to think that she was clingy or anything. "What about you? Looking forward to third year? And where is Bay? I haven't had the chance to see him in ages." She'd been going to attempt to arrange a meet up with him last week but then Terry had surprised her with a trip to Cornwall and she hadn't had the time. |
Griffin, i suppose u are talking bout us. If not pardon me. Quote:
He was annoyed. And when he heard the tapping on the compartment door, he was even more annoyed. What did they want? With a deep frown on his face, Gary stared at the girl who just...asked if she could join her. The Slytherin boy eyed the girl from head to feet. She didn't look stupid, like a mess or whatever he didn't like. And actually...she could be considered a pretty girl, so why not? Plus if he couldn't sleep, having a conversation with a girl could make the journey kind of bearable. He gave her a polite a nod and shifted his gaze on his owl. "Careful with the bird, though." Quote:
"What do you want?" Gareth told the little one curtly |
Quote:
"So, ready for your last year?" he asked with a small smile. He wasn't sure if she was upset about leaving or excited - it was always one or the other with seventh years, it seemed. |
Quote:
Of course Ana was excited about Hogwarts. Everyone seemed to be on the most part! "Babushka? So that's your grandmother, right?" It had to be if Ana had looked like an old woman last term. It must be scary to look like your own grandmother; Lux loved both of hers, but she would cry if she had woken up one morning and looked into a mirror to see that she resembled one of them. Fortunately, the topic of Terry drove that thought out of her head. "Oh, I lost Bay earlier too. But I found him again, so it was great!" She had been sad when she lost sight of him. "I'm really looking forward to starting another term at school, though I really hope that nothing like last year happens again." The Muggle Studies lesson about death had been the worst part, because there had been a coffin involved. That had totally freaked her out. "And the last time I saw Bay, he was going to the food trolley because he didn't eat lunch before the train, or bring one." Eye roll. "Of course I have some cucumber sandwiches, but he hates them. He also told me he would bring me back something!" |
Quote:
"That's right," Ana agreed, giving Lux an encouraging smile, happy to see that the girl had remembered the term. "She looks good for her age and is in great shape, she doesn't even have that many wrinkles but it still wasn't a great sight," although Ana was sure that when she was properly old she'd be happy to have aged gracefully. Ana listened intently as Lux chatted to her, nodding in the appropriate places. "You know, I think not liking Cucumber sandwiches must be a boy thing. Terry doesn't like them either, something about not enough substance," she recalled from that time when they'd gone to the kitchens and she'd asked for a cucumber sandwich. Terry had been shocked by the thought that cucumber sandwiches were actually a thing. Silly boys. "Now, tell me, how was your birthday party? I was meant to go but then I got the flu so couldn't make it," Ana recalled sadly. She'd been devastated when her doctor had forced her to stay in bed instead of attending Lux's party which she'd been looking forward to ever since she'd gotten the invite. |
This would not work, Penelope thought. Instead of finding a quiet spot, I seem to have bothered an unfriendly, and much older student. "Sorry to bother you, I'll just leave." |
Quote:
Oh, awesome. She had remembered something correctly. Though, she wasn't sure how much of that had been memory, and how much of it had been logic... Regardless, the girl was proud of herself. "That is totally understandable, I wouldn't want to look like either of my grandmothers, even though I love them." If Ana was lucky, she would age like her Babushka. The cucumber sandwich theory made Lux laugh and shake her head. "You might be on to something there. Bay tried to eat one last term, and he threw it up." So long story short, she had learned her lesson and never asked him to eat one since that day. It was a good thing that he hadn't gotten mad at her over it, because she felt terrible and didn't want Bay angry at her. "But Louis, Lucas, and Sander like them! Sander's brother Cris doesn't though." Oh well. That was life. "My birthday was great! I had a lot of fun though I missed seeing you there." It was okay though; Lux totally understood. |
Posted Kanna in the wrong color by mistake DX Quote:
She then held out the box for him to take one, if he wanted. "My name's Kanna," she introduced politely, after setting her bag beside her and removing the quill from her teeth. He didn't seem to be in the mood for... much of anything. At least she had offered him an introduction and something sweet to eat. As far as she was concerned, she obliged him nothing more or less. Her head swiveled in a flash of koolaid red and she offered a smile at the proclaimed first-year. She almost gave her name, but her host seemed to go in a different direction. Holding her breath at the awkward clashing of personalities, Kanna nibbled at her sugar quill to keep quiet |
Quote:
Quote:
He heard the small noises of the girl doing something, opening a bag or something, and simply ignored it until she spoke introducing herself to him. Gareth turned and eyed her again in his silence. He stared at the box of sugar quills then at her face as if doing some evaluating. Then he leaned back ignoring the sugar quills, a half smirk appearing on his face. "That stuff is bad for your health, Kanna." What kind of a name was that? |
Quote:
"That wasn't a 'no'," she said, a hint of a teasing tone in her voice. But she was getting vibes to leave him alone. If he still declined the candy, she would sit back and leave him be. She was very upset over losing her MP3 player. Her father had been able to charm it enough for the muggle device to still work fairly well. She had no idea where she had lost it, but... She didn't want to press him to introduce himself. She was learning to not be so pushy. Kanna would spend their time together without knowing his name if she had to, but hoped he would at least... Pff. She didn't even know. But she hoped his mood improved. As it was, he didn't feel like a black hole of energy, which was good, because she couldn't stand people like that. |
Quote:
"Well of course not. You're still a young girl," Ana agreed almost calling Lux a child but avoiding doing so. At Lux's age Ana certainly hadn't thanked anyone that caller her a child. Especially not people who were only a few years her senior. "I do look a lot like my babushka though. There are pictures from when she was young and I could almost be her doppelgänger!" Which amused her to no end since it proved that she was her fathers daughter. Something which a few family members had doubted after her parents divorce and her mamushka hastily remarried. Ana nodded sympathetically, Lux having told her about Bay's experience with cucumber sandwiches last term after it happened. Ana had been inclined to laugh at the story but Lux's sad and worried face had stopped the laughter before it could rise in her throat. Clearly she still felt somewhat guilty about it. "Finally! Some boys with sense!" Her theory might not be correct, and them liking cucumber sandwiches proved it, although they could be the exception too it, she was glad that there were other people that saw the beauty of a cucumber sandwich. "I'm glad you had a good day sweetheart," she said, her tone earnest as she brushed some hair out of her face. "Hopefully next year I'll be able to make it if you have a party." |
Quote:
After eyeing the box of sweets again, he looked back at the girl's face raising an eyebrow. And even though he had the feeling that he would be regretting the move later and cursing himself for him, he reached for the box and picked one of the sugar quills being extra careful about not to touch the other sweets in the box as he picked one of them. "So you already know." That it was bad for her health... "But still want to have them." |

Ready for her last year..? Eh. Derry shrugged a little and tapped her toes together absentmindedly. "I dunno actually..." she said, thinking a bit. "Like... sure, I'm graduating, but... life starts, y'know?" Not that she had any kind of plans or anything... not after the muggle exam result she'd got this summer. She might have to go back to muggle school for a bit. Eh. "What about you, excited for third year? Cooler than all the first and second years, yeah?" |
Quote:
"You make it sound like I'm a huge daredevil," she mused at him. It was true that she had a bigger sweet tooth than most people she knew. But she intended to be eighty years old one day, still with a whole shelf full of candy to eat. "The way I see it is that if something like a sugar quill or a licorice wand or a fudge fly can make you happy, then it's not really bad for you in the end." Provided you didn't eat them all the time and had good teeth-brushing skills. Of course. |

Separated from Caleb now the now third year Slytherin found his way into the front cars. He liked the idea of arriving at their destination before everyone else in the other cars even if it was only by a fractional amount. This was probably due to the fact that he was exceptionally petty. Cutty found a spot near a window, good for lighting and peering opportunities, and took a seat. For reasons known only to himself, Cutty put on a pair of fake spectacles and took out his copy of 'The Lonely Potioneer's Diary' by Augustus Stubbins and began to read from a bookmarked page. |

I was in a muggle school.. my parents thought that I was not a witch until a six years.. I was angry with a my classmate who was teasing me and without lifting a finger I sent against him all the colored chalks and a blackboard eraser .. then a old wizard has came to clear the memory of all my classmates... it was a shock for me!.. |

Angel wasn't paying attention to where she was sitting and instead of sitting next to the boy she had been aiming for she accidently sat on his lap, she didn't really want to move now that she had sat down, surely the boy wouldn't mind her staying there, it had been an accident after all. |
Quote:
"Yeah, that's scary," Caleb admitted, hoping he wasn't freaking her out or anything. "Any idea what you'll do after school?" he asked. Maybe she had a plan. Maybe she'd go play Quidditch or something? "And please, I was cooler than them in my FIRST year," he joked with a cheeky grin. Well, half joked. |
posties for Dani & anyone if they'd like! The twelve year old Ravenclaw, whose name we have come to learn as Josette, quickly settled into one of the compartments in the front of the quickly moving train. In her tiny hands was a little kitten, a kitten that she'd just bought a few weeks ago for her birthday. He was so tiny & so fluffy! She actually could hardly still believe that her father allowed her to buy him for her twelfth birthday. He figured it'd alright to allow her something to keep her company while she was at school. Now, as exciting as it was for her to have a kitten; whom she'd named Sebastian, she did have to admit it was a bit of an adjustment for her taking care of another living thing. Not only that, she was still trying to figure out the strange things he did. For example like right now, why he was always managed to somehow end up on her head. She didn't know why, but whenever she'd hold him the tiny thing would wriggle out of her grasp and would begin climbing up her shoulder only to hop up onto her head and lay there. Seeing as to how she'd never understand him, nor deny this cute action, she allowed him to stay on his perch. She whispered, "W-Would you like a treat Bastian?" Taking a moment to reach into her bag, she'd taken out a treat for her temporary hat. But it was when she'd done this did she softly mutter, "Oh no.." She couldn't exactly see where the little critter's mouth was to feed him the treat, how was she going to do this? Josie bit her lip before slowly lifting her hand up with the treat and slowly began moving it towards Sebastian. ...Was she getting close? |
:3 After stocking up on sweets and retrieving Zeus from his carrier, Maddison headed for the front of the train to find an empty compartment. The back had been quite crowded what with older students looking for snogging space and younger ones plotting pranks or whatever. Since the small brunette had no one to plot with or snog (ew), she was hoping the front would offer a bit more privacy. The small kneazle bounded along behind her as Maddie weighed her options, noting that maybe getting a compartment to herself had been a silly thing to want as the train was crowded. But then again...Maddison had always be the lucky sort. And luck seemed to be on her side today. The eleven year old was just about to turn around when Zeus skidded to a halt, meowing at her to acknowledge him. "Z, now is not the tim-" Oh. OH! An empty compartment! Grinning, the small first year scooped up her pet and nuzzled into his fur. "You're brilliant, Zeus. Well done." Smart like his mum, that was for sure. Looking up and down the corridor to make sure no one had seen that little display of affection, Maddie slipped into the compartment with her furry companion and made herself comfortable. This was much better. |
Talikins! :3 To be honest, there were only two reasons why Grayson was at this end of the train: a) food b) The boy did want to know what kind of people he was going to be going to school with without the whole getting to know them nonsense. The pockets of his hoodie were bulging with sweets but he didn't pay attention to them. Instead, the fourteen year old started peeking into compartments as he slowly made his way down the corridor. Uh huh. Just looking to see if the compartments were empty. Nothing to see here. When he did reach one that was near the end of the Front Cars, Grayson slipped inside and flopped down on the seats. Pretty convenient how this was towards the end of the Front Cars. And a mere coincidence, too. He lay back on his seat and propped his feet up on the seat next to him, his right ankle settling on his left knee. His right foot started jangling along to a tune that was stuck in his head and, before long, he found himself humming along very quietly too. This was the life, wasn't it? Peace. And quiet. And no unwanted people, thank you. |
Quote:
As for what she was carrying, it was only her Kneazle, Nibbles, who was squirming and trying to escape her arms. She shifted her cat's position to something more comfortable for Nibbles and Marigold. She looked at the scratch over the flower she drew on her arm. Shame. Oh, and empty compartment! She only saw it out of the corner of her eye, but she lunged and slid the door open. She skipped in and shut the door in front of her. She sighed in relief, then turned around. OH! "Sorry, I didn't see you!" For there was someone already in the compartment. But before she could leave, Nibbles had jumped out of her arms and landed on the seat. She winced. |
SPOILER!!: Josette! You stop off at the food trolley for a little bit and your kneazle goes missing. It was perhaps the story of the Gryffindor's life. Felix must have slipped out when someone else had opened the door to leave because when she'd gotten back to the Prefect Compartment he was gone. Next time, she'd just take him with her. Leaving him behind was hardly worth the walking she was doing now. Lex went down the line of cars by the front of the train, peering into a few while entering others. He had to be around here somewhere. They were on a moving train and her baby wasn't stupid. He'd never survive a drop and roll, nor would he try to. Lex threw open a door and spotted that little Ravenclaw who played...Beater, was it? Just last term. "You wouldn't happen to have seen a kneazle, would you?" The general look around told her he wasn't in here but maybe the girl had run into him at some point? |
Quote:
Brown eyes looked up from Zeus and landed first on another small animal and then on its owner. "I gathered as much," She said in a matter-of-fact tone. If this girl had seen the first year, surely she wouldn't look as uncomfortable as she did right now. "Is that a boy or a girl?" Maddison's attention had shifted back to the stranger's pet now, noting that Zeus seemed quite interested in the new arrivals too. The kneazle had leapt down from his place on her lap and inched towards the other feline, ears forward. "Zeus is an alpha so if it is a boy, they might not get on." |
Quote:
A wide smirk formed on Abigail Cambell's face as she walked about the corridors spotting a very familiar face. It was that boy from the Leaky, what was his name again? Graton...ot what? Heh. She didn't really care, he was so rude anyways but what did his rudeness earn him. DUN...DUN....KARMA. MHHHHM. Looking as casual and innocent as she could, Abbi began following him whilst pretending to look for a compartment of her own. Meanwhile she already had a compartment and with all her things put down inside it, she was just out and about for a walk break and WHY not have some fun HUH? Giggle Snort. In ze thoughts because that be suspicious to the people around. Ohhh compartment for your own, hmmmmm person? NOT TODAY! "Good Morning BALTIMORE!" She entered the compartment dramatically and wore a smile ever as wide as her face could handle. |
Quote:
Oh. Talking about Nibbles. "She's a girl." So no fighting. Plus, Nibbles looked happy. She was preening and stuffs. OOOH, cat flirting. How adorable. |
Ohmygosh XD Quote:
Boy was he wrong. No sooner had he gotten to the second verse of the song he was humming along to, then the door opened. He hardly had time to register who was there when the person started........... singing? Calling loudly? Whatever it was, it was LOUD and this was one fourteen year old that WASN'T PLEASED AT ALL. The sound of the voice had caused him to jump so violently that he rolled............ .................... and ended up on the floor. Grayson Douglas Whitlock was starting his journey to a new school by laying down on the floor out of shock. When he finally came to his senses, the boy turned around and STARED up -- because he was still laying down on the floor -- at the person who had entered HIS compartment. Oh. It was her. Little Miss Sass had made her entrance. "WHAT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN. DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A MUSICAL TO YOU?!" Looks. Looks for you. |
Quote:
"Good." Zeus liked the ladies. A bit of a cat casanova, as far as Maddison was concerned. Who could blame him, though? He was a great looking kneazle. And since the eleven year didn't have to worry about some kind of feline death match now, she relaxed a bit and glanced out the window. "Does it always take this long to get to Hogwarts?" |
Quote:
"I'm Marigold, by the way. And this is Nibbles." The cat was important. |
SPOILER!!: Alexaa Josie was just within inches from where she'd believe Sebastian's mouth was when she'd suddenly heard the compartment door suddenly be flung open, practically making the tiny girl fly out of her seat. And from the sounds of tiny squeaks atop her head, the sudden noise had also scared Sebastian as well, causing him to slip off her head, but not before Josie managed to catch her tiny fluffy friend from falling to the floor. Her blue eyes traveled to the compartment door and it was at that moment when she'd nearly felt all of the colour in her faced nearly dissolve. She'd recognized this older girl. It was the girl from last term that she'd unintentionally hit with a bludger during one of the matches when she was playing Beater for her team. It was almost as if the words could not be found in the twelve year old's brain. ...Words...What were words? The fear in her eyes couldn't go unnoticed, but she couldn't help it. She'd felt so terrible after that match, & never actually managed to apologize to the girl for she was too afraid of being torn apart. But wait, hadn't she asked the second year a question? Josette could only muster one word..that unintentionally came blurting out of her mouth. "SORRY!" ....Why had she just yelled that? |
SPOILER!!: LOL she's presh When she'd opened the door earlier she didn't think it'd have caused such a stir but the falling kitten and the rattled girl told her she needed to work on her entrance. If she didn't know any better she'd almost be sure the girl's face was losing colour but that couldn't have been it and even if that was the case, it'd return to normal soon because it was just Lex...and she was just looking for her kneazle...which admittedly wasn't that intimidating if you thought about it. The fact the girl's lips parted told her she'd be getting an answer so she leaned against the door's frame and waited though by now she was starting to figure she already knew the answer. Oh but Merlin the girl was obviously getting worked up about something. Lex's brows crinkled as she shoved off the frame and took another step into the corridor. Was she...missing something? Alexa twisted and took a glance behind her in case something had snuck onto the train when she never noticed. Awfully quiet train for a hijacking, wasn't it? In the end there was nothing terrifying behind her and she turned to face the girl in time to receive an apology? What? ".......................Okay.................. ." Blink blink. Did she wanna know? Probably not. "Look, it's not that big a deal. Plenty of people haven't seen him. I can just keep looking." No need to look like you've seen the ghost of Christmas past, gosh. "Are you....are you okay though?" Kinda jittery wasn't she? |

It was a good thing that Ana had not called her a child, because Lux certainly was not little anymore as much as some people wished she was. "I really take after my mother more than anything. I hope she ages well, and that I do too... But it's okay if I don't, because I don't have a huge problem with getting wrinkles and grey hair as long as it isn't when I'm still young." That was why last term was so freaky; everyone looked sixty years older than they really were. It was almost as if someone had used a really powerful Time-Turner. Wait... doppelgänger? "What's a doppelgänger?" Was this another Russian word? More giggles. "I know! Cucumbers are so refreshing. Bay doesn't like them though." Which was totally fine, of course. Teasing and friendly complaining aside, the girl understood and respected people's differing opinions on food. Bay liked to do the opposite thing, and teased her sometimes for liking cucumber sandwiches. It was rather funny. "Maybe we can get Terry to like them, so that at least one of us has a boyfriend who is a fan of them!" Of course if that didn't end up happening, Lux would be totally cool with it. A big smile formed on Lux's face. "It was wonderful, and Bay asked me out that day before my party." It had been so nice. "I really hope that you can, but I understood why you couldn't go last time. My friend Bart missed it too, because he had a stroke at the end of last term." He seemed to be doing better now, so that made her happy. Lux wondered where Bart was; she missed him. |

She was so ready to join his rolling, except hers would be rolls of laughter. This was just too hilarious. Her giggles had turned into a huge fit of laughing and snorting. He was on the floor, ON THE FLOOR. Not looking so boss now. HEH. WHY? Because WHO was the boss? SHE WAS. Especially of sass. HEHEHEHEHE. Utter Brilliance, Karma, that was. It took her a moment to recollect herself before finally being able to respond to his whole musical comment. "It actually DOES." He was singing earlier too. She was MORE than sure she had heard him just as she bopped right into the compartment with her greeting. Yet she felt the need to add. Just a little extra sass, you know? "But now it looks like you just got OWNED and BIGTIME." Owned he was and by who? THE BOSS. Hehe. Good times, oh good times. Her eyes were looking straight down at him. She felt highly in charge and she liked it, a lot. Dynamite came in small packages after all, didn't it? |

"Maddie Cooper." The eleven year old pointed to herself and then nodded towards her kneazle. "That's Zeus. He's my confidant." And she liked him best because she knew her secrets were safe with him. |
For Sarah Cris was making his way back to the middle cars and to his friends. He had decided to take a short walk to stretch his legs. He smiled and nodded at the other students he passed by, so intent to acknowledging everyone that he didn't realize he wasn't watching where he was going. "OOOooommpppphhh. I'm sorry. I should have been looking where I was going. Are you okay?" Cris asked the person. |

Grayson was not amused but it turned out that the Sass Master was. He raised his eyebrows at her, just watching as she continued to laugh. He could feel his blood boiling because this girl was laughing at him specifically. Jeez. Could she not? It was doing dangerous things to his ego. Things he did NOT like. Scowl. How long was she planning on doing this for, again? Oh good. She had finally stopped laughing at him. Oh, so it was a musical, then? His eyebrows were going to stay right up there, then. "Where are the saxophone players, then? Off taking a tea break?" He might have still been laying down on the floor but the girl was still going to get sassed back. Just because he can. And because his ego was calling for a chance to restore itself. And he got OWNED?! Did she really have to put it like that? Grayson rolled his eyes. "Fine. I got owned." If they were going to use her words. Jeez, he hated this. "This isn't the end, you know. We're going to the same school. I will get my back, Little Miss Sassy." How he was going to do this, he didn't know. He'd probably have to try that prank that Nigel had talked to him about back in that sweets shop. But now, there were more important things at hand. "Now are you going to help me up or not?" he asked, holding out his hand. He was waiting. |

For a few seconds he ignored the boy who was obviously speaking to him, and instead scrambled around on the floor to try and grab the hat before anyone stepped on it. Hugging it to his chest, he stroked the feathers and mumbled softly to it, brushing off some dirt that had found it's way onto the trim. His poor hat. Turning round he was going to glare at the older boy, point out what he'd done and demand that he clean it for him. But he recognised the boy from the food trolley earlier. The one who had helped him cool down. The helpful, nice one. So Monty merely smiled, shrugged and stuffed his hat onto his head. It was safer up there. "Cris! Hi. Oh, it's okay. I'm fine. This though," he pointed to his hat and pouted, "is a bit dirty. Do they never clean the floor of this train?" Looking down he groaned, spotting a smudge on his tights where he'd been too close to said floor. "Flibbers. They were new." |
Sarah/Monty. Not going to quote to make edits easier xD Cris almost groaned out loud when he heard the boy exclaim loudly about his hat as he dropped said hat on the ground. He was about to lean down and pick it up for the boy, but the boy was faster than he was. As Cris watched the young boy, turned around while brushing off his ha...wait a minute it was a tricorn!! Cris immediately recognized it, having seen it worn by some of his ancestors in the moving portraits in his house. Why was the boy wearing a tricorn, was Cris' first thought. Second thought was why was Monty wearing a tricorn, having belatedly recognized the younger boy. He had met him earlier at the Food Trolley. He shrugged at Monty's question. "I think they do, but it's hard to keep it clean with all of us traipsing all over it. Awww....I'm so sorry, Monty. I can clean it up for you if you want. I can help clean your tights for you too," Cris offered, the moment he saw the dirty smudges on the Tricorn and his tights, taking out his wand to do so. "I'll try not to destroy in the process," he teased Monty before realizing it was a wrong choice of words. "Um...I was kidding. I won't destroy it. Want me to try cleaning it for you?" he asked Monty, sticking out his hand to take the Ha..Tricorn from the boy. |
Pearl :-) me neither lol Oh. That was a very good point. He hadn't thought of that. There were an awful lot of kids moving around, all with dirty shoes, no doubt. Yes. That was a very good point. "You can?" Monty stared up at Cris in wonder. The boy knew spells. Well, of course he did, stupid Monty! He was so much older, he probably knew loads of things. Whereas he knew nothing. Yet. That's what Hogwarts was for right? Maybe on the next train ride he'd be able to clean his own things, without help. Maybe. There was a slight hesitation when Cris cracked a joke about destroying his stuff by accident, though. A sudden wave of terror ran through him, and his eyes widened. He was kidding? Oh. Oh good. That was okay then. Smiling broadly, Monty nodded and took off his hat, giving it a quick kiss before handing it over. "Thank you so much. I'll really like it if you could." |
Sarah Cris couldn't help but notice Monty staring up at him in wonder when he offered to help clean his hat for him. He smiled as he nodded down at Monty, "Sure I can. Once I'm done, it'll look all brand new again." When he saw Monty first hesitate and then widen his eyes in terror, Cris knew that it had definitely been the wrong time to crack a joke like that. Despite that, he still found it funny that the boy actually believed him. ....well okay, he had a point there. Monty had only just met him, so he wasn't to know that Cris was very efficient at his spell work. Quickly turning his head, Cris coughed into his hand, in an attempt to smother the laugh that was threatening to burst from his lips each time he looked at Monty's face. He waited patiently for the boy to realize he had only been joking and took the hat that Monty kissed affectionately before handing it over to him. "Okay here goes," Cris winked at Monty before pointing his wand at the smudges on the hat. "Tergeo" he said the incantation as he cast the spell to first suck up the dust off the fabric. Once that was done, he ended that spell before casting the Cleaning Spell to clean it, and ending it once he was done. Holstering his wand, Cris inspected the Tricorn. Then he made sure the tricorn's folds were properly creased before bending down to hand it over to Monty. "Here you go, Monty. I hope this passes inspection." he grinned down at the boy. |
Baek/Jun Vinnie entered the train, looking for an empty compartment. They would need a big one. After all they were like Lost in her thoughts the brunette almost walked past an empty compartment, taking a few steps back the girl peeked inside and grinned. This would do. She opened the door and immediately dropped her trunk on the floor. This thing was heavy. But then again it carried all her life so it would be quite disappointing if it wasnt heavy. Plopping down on one of the empty seats she put her feet on the opposite one. As long as there was space this would be her position. Vinnie sighed happily and looked out the window, watching all the families say goodbye. For once the girl was excited to start the school year, there was so much to be planned. Like the party. They were having a party and the year hadnt even properly started, how good was that. She seriously couldnt wait to talk it through with Jun. |
For Adi and Anyone Else :) Kace was exploring the front compartment. He saw some new firsties and some new students. He smiled to them and he was looking for his best buddy. He hadn't seen Adi all summer. He wondered what he could have done over the summer. He looked through compartments trying to find his buddy. |

Searching through the compartments, he spotted the brunette looking out the window. Sliding the door open, Jun slid into the opposite seat and grinned. "Am I the first one here?" Shame. |
SPOILER!!: Lady Lux "Dresses and looking pretty are about the only things I liked about the etiquette lessons my babushka insisted we all had to take. Besides dance that was. I love dancing, and ballet. Although that might have more to do with the fact that my aunt Amélie was a ballet dancer and teaches it now," Ana mused, tone fond as she mentioned her family members, despite the fact that she was complaining slightly about having to behave like a proper lady. She'd always liked fashion though and even though she'd wear tights and jeans like every other girl at some point she preferred being in dresses. It made her feel feminine. "Hmm, well what shoe size do you take? I'm sure I can find some of those shoes for you to at least practice in if it's something you'd like to do?" Ana asked, looking down at Lux's feet. They looked to be around the same size as her own, maybe a little bit smaller. "Well then your mother must be a beautiful lady," Ana opined since she thought Lux was quite pretty, if not beautiful yet. "I don't resemble my mother much at all, come to think of it none of us really resemble her all that much. Katya looks a lot like her but Sasha, Liza and I all take after papa's family," which Ana wasn't displeased about. Although her mamushka was good looking Ana didn't much want to resemble her. Just in case it stirred up ill feelings. Huh? She didn't know what a doppelgänger was? Seems like Ana would have to explain it. She took a few minutes to think of what the best way to explain a doppelgänger would be before she opened her mouth to respond. "A doppelgänger has come to mean a few different things. In old German culture a doppelgänger was said to be a harbinger of death. When you saw your doppelgänger you would soon die. Other times it's seen as simply meaning bad luck will befall someone. A doppelgänger is your exact double, whether that double be a ghost or simply another person who could be your twin, although in most cases you've never met them before. I could be considered my babushka's doppelgänger under the meaning that I look nearly exactly as she did at my age. The only difference is that I have my mamushka's eye colour," Ana explained, hoping that Lux wouldn't be put off by her explanation of the term. "Well I'm not so sure that he doesn't like cucumbers so much as he just doesn't see the point of having a sandwich with only cucumber's on it. He did refuse a bite of mine one time though, but he had his own sandwich so that might have been why..." she mused, giving a slight shrug. She didn't much mind if Terry liked cucumber sandwiches. Not really. Everyone had different tastes in food and Ana certainly didn't like all the foods that Terry did. For example she thought that Yorkshire Pudding was disgusting, although she wasn't sure why she didn't like it. Ana held in the urge to squee at the news that Bay had asked Lux out on the day of her party, although she couldn't stop herself from giving the other girl another brief hug in happiness. She sobered however when Lux mentioned a boy who'd had a stroke. It showed the real damage that last term had done to people because if Ana remembered correctly Bart had also been affected by the healers' negligence. She couldn't remember ever speaking to the boy but she'd seen him in classes and her heart ached for him, even if only briefly since Ana could well admit that she wasn't the kindest nor most sympathetic of people. "I didn't know that he'd had a stroke. Is he feeling any better?" Ana asked, tone subdued, and face showing that her concern for the boy was genuine, if not deep. |

And, apparently Angel can do no wrong. XD Quote:
And the chapter that explained the blue skin was coming up next and Cutty tilted the book one handedly to let gravity turn the page for him. That was about when he felt it. A small, light-weight bum on his lap. Fine. It could stay there. But on the other side because it's owner was blocking his reading light. With an exasperated sigh, Cutty put down his book, tilted his legs so that the bum's owner was on the other leg, then re-assumed his reading as if nothing at all had happened. He probably figured that it was totally natural for the totties to begin throwing themselves upon the lap of Cutty Mordaunt 'round this time of year. |

Anyway, she was looking for those twits since they never bothered to tell her they were changing cars and she, being Josie was going to pop open every compartment door in search of her "friends". "'ave yer s-" She paused at the couple in the corner and made a face. It wasn't disgust, it wasn't intrigue. It was just a face. How older were they even? That girls chest was flatter than her own and the boy, he wasn't even paying attention to his girlfriend. He was physically checked out from what she could see. Some couple. Oh- she was staring "Sorry yeh? Joost lookin' fer some fri- young old man?" His ears. Even as an aged little Wizard, those ears were unmistakable. "Oh bullocks." She laughed "I almos' didn' recognise ye- yer young agen." She grinned and walked in "'Oo's yer bird?" She smiled at the flat chested skinny legged girl. But who was she to talk? "Was' yer name again? Cuddy?" She grinned "Josie- in case yer fergot- dun wantcher to feel embarrassed 'bout dat." She smiled at everyone in the compartment. They'd benefit from knowing her name too since she was encroaching on their space. |

Feeling the need to drink something, the brunette got out her special cup from her handbag. It said „ Its just water i swear“ and whenever she looked at it, it made her laugh. What brought the girls thoughts back to the party. This was totally the right way to start the year and build up a rep. Throwing the best party of the year at the beginning of the year. Yep. And they would have burger pizza, like how much better could it get?! Just as she got lost in the world rushing by again, the Slytherin heard someone speak. Probably to her, cause she was the only one in the compartment. She blinked and looked at the person in front of her. Jun! „ It seems like you are“, she grinned,“ and i was gonna say the best comes last. Shame.“ But they had so much time to plan now, this was gonna be fab. Charlotte would totally hate them. Grin. |

"So did you have a good summer?" Angel decided to ask the boy, she thought it would be polite to ask him that, she loved being polite and she totally thought that this guy was amazing and very friendly. She just hoped that the guy would still be friendly once they got to Hogwarts because she had loads of questions to ask. Quote:
What was this girl saying about birds? She was defiantly no bird, didn't the other lady see that she was a human been, seriously did the girl need glasses or something. Angel though returned the smile and then just decided to wait on the guy to speak, she was a bit shy now that this other girl was here, were they dating each other and she was sitting on his knee, how embarrassing that would be if they were. |

The compliment made Lux blush slightly. She did not think she was all that pretty or anything, though people did compliment her on her looks. "My mom is really pretty. I've seen older pictures of her, and she looked a lot like I do now." Seemed that Ana took more after her grandmother, and Lux took after her mother. It was funny how genetics worked like that sometimes. When she was younger, she thought that everyone simply took after their parents, and that was that. Nodding along, she tried her best to keep track with all the members of her friend's family since there seemed to be quite a bit of them; hopefully one day she would meet Ana's siblings and parents. The thought of a doppelgänger was rather interesting, if not strange. "So you could also meet someone on the street that looks as if they could be your twin? Hypothetically speaking of course. Maybe not everyone has a doppelgänger?" How weird it would be if she was in Diagon Alley and spotted a girl who looked the exact same as her! Listening as Ana talked about Terry and cucumber sandwiches, Lux nodded along. "People sometimes share sandwiches?" It was not something that she had ever thought of doing. It seemed very unlikely that her and Bay would ever do that unless it was turkey or something; he really did make nice turkey sandwiches. "I know that everyone has different tastes and that it's good to respect that. I learned it last term." See, she was growing! Yaaay, another hug! Smiling, Lux returned it before getting more serious at the talk of Bart. "He is doing much better now, though I haven't seen him in a little while." Lux wondered where her buddy was, and hoped that she would be able to find him soon. "He had his stroke in class, and I felt so bad because I didn't notice it at the time." That was something she still felt a little bad about. |
Pearl :-) Wow. He looked so confident with his wand. Something Monty himself was yet to master - he dropped it more often than not, whenever he pretended to duel by waving it around. But this older boy..........such good spell work. Monty's eyes followed every move, stared at the places the dirt had once been and now were not. It was brilliant. "Wooow." Monty grinned back, taking the hat gingerly and turning it over and over in his hands. It was spotless. "Thanks, Cris! That's brilliant." He put it back on his head, proudly; flicking the end. Really brilliant. So brilliant. "Can you teach me to do that? Or - or, do they teach it at Hogwarts?" |

He stared at the sugar quill between his fingers and eyed hers. She looked okay eating this candy yet he had this thought that he would look stupid while doing so. But if she was used to eating this stuff then she probably had other people consuming it around her so it might not look stupid to him when he would try to eat the candy. He nibbled the tip of the candy quill a bit as she spoke, her words making him raise his eyebrows again. She was kind of...right. If you enjoyed it then it was not so bad at all. "I can see no errors with your reasoning, Kanna." and there was that name. "What does your name mean? I have never heard it before." |

For Anyone Austin walked onto the train, a small bag slung over his back. He didn't feel like walking all the way to the back, although it would be quieter, so he climbed into a small car near the front of the train. Plopping the small bag on the seat, he sat next to the window. It was a little bitter sweet for him. On the one hand, he wanted to go away and learn, be away from his parents, and get some time to be his own person. But on the other hand, he won't be able to see his parents until the Holidays, and he didn't want to be alone. He wasn't that great at making friends, due to his cocky attitude and what not. But it didn't matter to him much. He would be fine on his own, and he was sure someone would say hi to him in his dorm room. Ravenclaw was the best house to be in, in his opinion, and if that hat shouted any other house name, he would be very unhappy. He probably wouldn't come back after the Holidays if Ravenclaw wasn't his house. |
Sarah. Sorry for the delay. RL SPOILER!!: Monty Cris took an exaggerated bow before straightening up and grinning. "Thank you and you're most welcome. The cleaning spell? Yes I can teach you that but yes they will also teach you that at Hogwarts along with a whole bunch of other interesting spells." "When learning spells, my Professors always tell us to first learn the incantation, which is actually the words to the spell. You need to say it correctly or the spell might not work the way you want it to. Then once you've mastered that, you learn the spell's wand movement, like this," Cris waved his wand followed by a flick. "For the spell I just did, the wand movement as you can see is pretty straightforward. I just pointed my wand at the areas I wanted cleaning. Now that's the easy part. The hardest part is getting the spell to work, and it's not just fancy wand waving and saying the incantation. The hardest part involves this," Cris explained as he tapped his forehead with his finger. "Concentration is what is important. That and your intention," Cris paused when he realized that he was sounding like one of his Professors. He laughed as he looked at Monty,"I have a feeling that most of what I just told you, just went flying over your head. I know it did when someone first tried teaching me to cast my first spell." he chuckled as he recalled that memory. "I've always believed that practice is always better than theory. So would you like to try casting that cleaning spell? You will find it very useful in some of your classes especially Potions. Don't worry if it doesn't work out the first few times. With lots of practice, you will eventually master it," Cris smiled encouragingly at Monty. |

Adi was pleased to be going back to Hogwarts and seeing all the students chatting away just made it even better. But who was that standing there? The other boy's build was familiar...It was Kace! SPOILER!!: Haha, please don't mind her! Perhaps that wasn't the ONLY word she had intended to say..Especially since that one random word most likely wouldn't make any sense..And judging by the girl's face..it certainly did not make any sense to begin with.. ....Wonderful.. ... 'Why was she just standing there? Isn't she going to yell at me?' 'Should I try to run to another compartment-NOT possible, she's blocking the only exit-Although there is always the window-NO!' ... She shook her head after those scrambling thoughts before realizing the older girl had spoken to her again. From the looks of it, the girl was still looking rather puzzled after Josie's random response. But had she seen the girl's kneazle around? Come to think, she could have sworn she'd heard something scurrying about before Josie had entered the compartment, but she hadn't taken the time to search anything out of the ordinary. -Wait, what was that? Was she okay? ...Was she okay? Well, aside from the guilt, Josie had to admit she was feeling a bit better for the most part. But in response to the older girl's question she slowly nodded her head, all the while stroking Sebastian's head. She bit her lip before she softly spoke, with actual words this time. "I-I um..I think I did hear some sort of a-a um..A noise when I got settled in..But I wasn't quite sure what it was.." Not to mention, she was also |

He was just reaching a compartment about to look inside when he almost accidentally collided with a small looking student. A first year perhaps? He put on his breaks, digging his heels into the floor and pausing inches away from her. ”Sorry about that” he chuckled then looked at her expression. ”Are you okay?” he asked. Was it just him or did she seem a little sad? Text Cut: Ana and Lux He continued on down the train, peeking briefly through every window until he found the one he was looking for. And it wasn’t long until he did, there sat by the window was Ana along with her friend Lux. He knocked on the door, opening it and poking his head around. ”I hope you don’t mind an interruption ladies?” he question looking between the two of them. ”Unless you’re having precious girl bonding time in which case, I’ll go find my mates.” No big deal. He waited for an answer before he sat himself down, he respected their wishes after all. And sometimes girls wanted individually girly time with their friend’s right? He was sure he’d be able to find Theo or West somewhere, although the majority of his friends were prefects and he wouldn’t have access to their compartment. He grinned expectantly at the pair, eager for their response. |

SPOILER!!: Lux "I've loved dresses ever since I was a little girl. My papa was quite indulgent with me. I had lots of gowns as well, even though I couldn't possibly need them. I liked dressing up as a princess though, especially after seeing the movie Anastasia," Ana revealed, eyes clouding over slightly as she thought back on her childhood. Those days seemed so far away now. It was scary to think that in less than 12 months she'd be of age and considered for all intents and purposes to be an adult. It made her long for childhood again. "Well, dancing is meant to be fun, and so as long as the way you dance makes you happy that's all that really matters. I love dancing, and I know a lot of formal dances but sometimes the best feeling is simply dancing crazily to loud music and not worrying about any proper steps." Just as long as no one saw you doing it, because that could be tres embarrassing. A 6.5? Ana could definitely work with that. She was a 6.5-7 herself so she should have some shoes that fit. In fact, there was that pair which was too small that she'd been planning to resize... They were a wedge heel and it wasn't all that high either. "I have just the shoes. I'll give them to you when we get to school and you can see if they fit, and if you think you'd be comfortable trying to walk in them," Ana told Lux decisively. Ana had to refrain from smiling in amusement as it seemed like Lux was struggling trying to keep up with Ana's family members. A lot of people seemed to have issues with it, although to Ana herself it wasn't all that complicated. Then again it was her family so it shouldn't be. Although her extended family could confuse even her sometimes since there were a lot of them spread out around the world. The family Christmas' were always a good time to catch up and attempt to remember the names of people you only saw once a year. "Potentially yes. I met a girl at school last year who had a pretty adverse reaction to me. Seems a look exactly like her boyfriends best friend. I don't know why that was a bad thing but it was," Ana told her with a slight shrug to indicate that she wasn't really certain on this subject. "It would also be possible that you don't have a double, although of course there are people who'd look similar to you from a distance if not up close." Didn't Lux know that people shared food? "Yep. Like with everything else sharing is caring. You can eat one half of the sandwich whilst another person eats the other half," Ana affirmed, nodding her head slightly to emphasise her point a bit. Ana liked sharing sandwiches. It meant that when she wasn't too hungry she didn't need to worry about wasting food if someone else was going to eat some of it too. "That's very good Lux," Ana praised. Some grown ups didn't seem to know how to accept and respect differences in taste so it was good that Lux did. Ana nodded solemnly as Lux gave her the lo-down on Bart's health, laying a comforting hand on Lux's arm as she talked about not having noticed that the boy was having a stroke in class. "I'm sure a lot of people didn't know Lux. There are signs for these things of course but unless you've read about them or are a qualified healer you really can't have been expected to notice them. It's nothing to feel bad about." She was sure that Bart wouldn't want Lux to feel bad about it either. Besides, in class it wasn't like Lux could have been expected to be paying attention to Bart enough to notice any signs even if she had known what they were, and she was a child herself, even if she was growing up. SPOILER!!: boyfriend Ana turned from Lux, moving to smile hesitantly at Terry as he stood in the doorway. "What do you say Lux? Can Terry join us?" Ana herself didn't mind if Terry stayed, because he was her boyfriend and she always liked having him around, but she wanted to double check with Lux before she agreed. It was only fair. Although she did think that this might be a good opportunity for the two of them to get to know each other better. Considering she loved Terry and adored Lux she wanted them to get along so she could hang out with them both at the same time. "You finally escaped from your mum then?" she asked playfully, having heard part of the lecture he was getting about it being his last year, career path etcetera and was glad that her mamushka wasn't there to give her a similar lecture. Sans the last year part of course. His mum's lecture had only served to make her sad though as it reminded her that this would be the last year that she'd be able to see Terry basically any time she pleased. Although maybe not even as much as that since like she'd been busy with OWLs last year Terry would be busy studying for his NEWTs this year. |
SPOILER!!: We don't mind her at all :3 This was perhaps getting a little creepy. She'd never been in the company of someone that did far more staring than talking...not to this extent, no and the Gryffindor didn't know what to make of it so at first she just stood staring back but that wasn't nearly as satisfying as an actual conversation would have been. ....Maybe, just maybe the girl didn't want to talk to her? Yet another thing she wasn't familiar with but there had to be cases like that, yeah? If that was in fact it then Lex wouldn't push it further, she had a kneazle to find and apparently harrassing little Ravvies would get her nowhere. She did turn to leave but was stopped in her tracks hearing actual words. Plural of word. It made a difference. "Noise? Really? Where? Was it coming from under a seat or like....passing by the compartment...?" Now she felt like she was getting somewhere with this kneazle hunt. In truth he couldn't have gone that far...but then she'd spent quite some time in that line for the food trolley. This was what happened when everyone wanted snacks at the same time. "Don't suppose you might have seen a streak of silver-grey...huh?" His fur was hard to miss once you'd seen it. Also. "I don't think I remember your name..." She admitted with a curious look. That was practically her asking to be reminded, just saying. |

After school..? Ehh. "Well... I want to be a vet but... I've got to do muggle exams so..." It was kind of... a lot of pressure. "I did one over the summer and kinda... failed." Eh. EEEEEH. That's basically how she felt about everything at the moment. Maybe she should just get another lollipop and chill out or something... eh. "Yeah, totally." She could appreciate the cockiness. |

Oh thank you!" said Lucy taking the chocolate! "I can give you one of my sandwiches if you like it! The chocolate reminds me of a dear friend of mine .. a girl of my age .. my neighbor .. a very kind and tender girl named Camilla .. she was very good at telling wonderful stories! It was hard to hide her that I was a witch, but I'm sure she would understand why she was very sensitive .. and you? you left some friends at home?" |
You two ladies! It was interesting how Ana was rather different than her when it came to dresses. "I used to hate them, it's only been in this last year that I've started to change my mind." Willa had been thrilled about this transformation, as it meant that make overs could be given with no fuss. Of course THAT was fine, but having a boyfriend wasn't. Eye roll. "Dancing is wonderful, and I hope that we get to do more of it this term. I also hope that we have another Valentines Day event." The last one had been fun, and now she had a real Valentine to go with! Louis had been wonderful, but she had never felt any romantic interest in him. Ana's offering a pair of shoes up, made the young girl squeal eagerly. "Thank you so much, you are amazing!" Ana was way too kind. It was interesting and a little strange to listen to Ana's encounter. "It would have been even neater if you had met the best friend instead." Though maybe not, because it could be really strange to meet someone who was your exact double. It was also interesting that the girlfriend seemed to have a problem with her boyfriend's best friend. She herself had no issues with any of Bay's friends. In fact, they shared a lot of mutual ones. "I look pretty similar to Willa when she doesn't have blonde hair. Not identical and she is quite older than me... but we do look related." Sharing food wasn't a totally new concept to Lux, since she tended to give Chocolate Frogs away a lot, but still she had never thought of sharing sandwiches. "Hmmm, I suppose I could always do that. But cucumber is my favourite and not everyone likes it. Turkey is nice too!" So that was something she could always share as well. Beaming as Ana praised her realization of food preferences, Lux then listened as the conversation turned to what had happened to Bart at the end of last term. Of course it was true that she wouldn't have known, but still. "You're right. I'm just so glad he is okay now." Hearing a knock then the door slide open, Lux smiled to see that it was Terry. When he asked if he could join them then took a seat, she nodded. "The more the merrier." Why not. Terry was nice, and this was a good chance to get to know him better. Besides, Ana would want to spend some time with him surely, because that is what girlfriends and boyfriends did. "So how are you, Terry? Do anything exciting this summer?" |

"A vet? That's like...a healer for animals, right?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. They'd never had to bring any of their animals to a vet or anything, so he wasn't sure exactly what they did, but it sounded AWESOME. Playing with animals all day? That'd be so cool! Ok, he knew they didn't PLAY all day with them and it was probably super hard. "Well, you've been at a wizarding school, right? And that's a muggle thing? So you'd probably just need to do some muggle classes or something and I'm sure you'd pass!" he encouraged her. Because didn't muggles have some weird sort of Arithmancy and were all SCIENCE-Y and stuff like that? Caleb would have failed too if he tried to attempt all that! |

"But dude how was your summer?" he asked one of his best friends. |

The girl smiled in response to his laughter, making her eyes crinkle up. It was a sound she practically fed off of. And perhaps whatever had him in such a foul mood was being left behind as the train sped across the countryside. It was true. She didn't know him. Partially why she had been interested in sitting with him. She loved to meet new people. People were interesting. And so he saw 'no errors' with her reasoning. A funny way of speaking, he had there. But that was probably due to his family, or where he was raised. See? People were interesting. "Kanna is short for Kannalynne," she explained. "It's a German name." Or so she had been told. Annalynne and Annaliese were German names, and that was close. Plus, she was German on her dad's side, so... It was a safe thing to say. As for a meaning, she shrugged her shoulders. "I honestly think it might be a made-up name. I've heard it means something like 'fountain of joy', but I've also heard 'music of life' and 'sunshine' and such nonsense. But I've never known for sure. I think it's made up," she said again with a laugh. "And I've never heard your name at all," she said in a bit of a teasing tone. He seemed to be feeling better. Perhaps the move wouldn't have such a terrible outcome. |
SPOILER!!: Yay! <3 Josette immediately nodded in her head in response to the older girl. Yes, she mostly certain that she'd heard a noise coming from somewhere. But where was it coming from? She couldn't exactly remember, it had been so fain that she really didn't get the opportunity to even try to guess where it might have come from. She pursed her lips as she tried to think & come up with a somewhat reasonable guess as to where she'd heard the noise. "M-Maybe it might have been coming from under a seat? But it could've passed by...Although I remember it was more clear in my..left ear when I'd first walked in here..So..perhaps...maybe it came from the corner under the seat..closest to the door?" She shrugged a little bit before suggestively pointing in the direction she'd thought of. Although, she possibly could have been very wrong & her kneazle probably wasn't even in here to begin with. ....Only way for certain to find out.. A silver-grey streak? She slowly shook her head before coming up with a simple, "Not that I can recall.." Oh, she'd wanted to know her name. Right yes, of course. Her name. ..Was she sure she even remembered her own na-WAIT, IT'S JOSETTE, RIGHT RIGHT OF COURSE-OH WAIT- ..BLINK.. "My-My name's Josette.." She gave a faint smile. |

That was a mouthful of a name. To Gareth it sounded much better to him that way than Kanna for some reason he was not sure about. Perhaps with the longer form it sounded more feminine to him and that tiny bit of femininity fit her pretty face. He stared at her face in silence, taking in her features before his gaze moved on her hair. He liked the colour of her hair. It was bright and shiny and... What? Realising what he was doing, the Slytherin quickly tried to block the thoughts of her being attractive. That was not funny. Not funny at all as he didn't really believe any girl around would be good enough for him. "German..." he repeated. Yeah, it obviously was a name of which origin he was not familiar with. "I see. But i don't think those sounded like nonsense to me. Music of life is pretty deep." and even though it was a made up name, Gary thought it had to have a meaning. Maybe she didn't know for sure what it referred to. And she was asking for his name. Since he had sort of started to have a normal conversation with her, he supposed she could very well have his name. "It's Gareth." he said and no, he was not going to start talking about how he was called Gary by some. That was...meh. Of no importance. |
Possibly my last post since the opening feast is open. Quote:
Oh, she was talking. The person to whom the bum belonged was talking. And she was indeed a person, or let's hope that Cutty saw her that way. "I had an excellent summer." And he did. Got to go on his own for once into the markets in Cairo without his uncle. Also, British Columbia was never better. He'd met a girl and the opportunity to emotionally blackmail his step-mother was ever present. He'd work on Treeza. Maybe he'd get a new seadoo out of her by the end of the year for the holidays. "And how was yours?" Quote:
Cutty held his head high as she spoke, recognizing him. His bird? Oh. Oh, the lil tottie on his lap. He tapped his heel against the floor causing the leg on which Angel was perched to rise and fall rapidly. "Tell the lady yer name, loov." "Josie. I wouldn't forget the name of an empress." He said before adding in. "It's Cutty. Cutty Mordaunt." |
