His Cattycakes needed him. His best friend. His best friend's girlfriend. His personal chef/baker, though he would never call her that to her face. Either way, because of all of these titles, and where they were meeting, Aidan was very excited to see what she needed him for.

It was probably food related.

He thought about it a lot on the long walk down from Ravenclaw tower. It might be fudge, since that was the first food he ever tasted of hers, and that he loved and requested more of. It might be any kind of chocolate something, because chocolate was just good. It might be a bacon something because honestly, bacon was the best food ever created and Cat KNEW just how much he loved it and loved trying things that wouldn't normally have bacon in it, bacon-ized. Or it could be lasagne. Because that was probably the second or third best food ever invented. And Cat's was excellent.

Hands in his pockets, the fifth year made his way to the Slytherin table, because that would be Cat's turf, and took a seat while he waited for her. Although it felt weird to wait for her. Her common room was closer, after all. And if it WAS food tasting she needed him for, the kitchen was even closer. So where was she?

Caterina had walked from the kitchen with several plates stacked in her hands. She'd had to walk slowly so as to not drop them and she was pretty sure that resulted her in being late. Late was better than having broken plates and food splattered on the ground, though.

She beamed when she saw that Aidan was waiting for her. Good. He was here and she wouldn't end up eating all the food herself. "Hiiiiii Aidan!" She placed the covered plates on the table and was ready for smacking his hands if he tried to look too soon. "You have your badge? This is official business."

Anastasia dropped herself onto the bench, exhausted. Getting used to a new place was hard and Hogwarts was a bit bigger than her last school. She'd gotten lost four times simply trying to find her way to the Great Hall so that she could get some food. She almost felt like crying when she'd got turned around for the last time. And in truth she'd be crying now if it weren't for the fact that she didn't want to seem weak in front of strangers.

She wasn't even all that hungry anymore but now that she'd finally found her way here she was going to stay for a bit anyway. If only because she didn't think her pride was up to attempting to find her way back to the Common Room yet.

Christmas was going to sit at her own table but saw the girl she had seen in the treehouse looking down and said "Struggling to find your way about the castle i could give you a tour or draw you a map so you don't get lost anymore"

"You're the Beauxbatons girl right?" Anastasia asked, not remembering the girls name from their previous brief meeting, or if she'd even gotten it. Nevertheless she looked up at the older girl with somewhat hopeful eyes. "Thank's for offering but I don't think a map would do me much good. I'm rubbish at reading them," she added somewhat desolately.

Christmas nodded and said "Yeah i used to go to Beauxbatons and okay i was just offering because it is not great to get lost all the time"

"I know, and it was nice of you to offer," Ana replied, giving the other girl a tired, but grateful smile. "I went to Beauxbaton's too a few years ago, and it was great there. Certainly easier to find my way around, anyway," she trailed off, laughing slightly at her own expense.

Christmas nodded and said "I know Beauxbatons was easier to get around i am sure you will get used to Hogwarts, I am Christmas by the way" Christmas thought it would be best to introduce herself to this girl

"Anastasia, or Ana, whichever you prefer," Ana said after Christmas introduced herself. Christmas. That was a slightly strange name. Although it did make Ana feel festive to hear the name. Oh Lord. Everytime someone mentioned Christmas she was going to think of the holiday. Speaking of she needed to get her Christmas jumpers. She hadn't packed them so she'd have to ask her Mamochka to send them to her.

"Would you like to sit down?" she asked when she noticed that Christmas hadn't taken a seat yet.

Christmas smiled at Ana and said "I think i will call you Ana and sure i would love to sit down" Christmas took a seat beside Ana

"It's easier to remember, right?" Ana asked when Christmas responded that she'd prefer to call her Ana, like most other people did. "So, how are you today Christmas?" she questioned, attempting to make small talk with the other girl.

Christmas nodded and said "Yeah it is a lot easier to remember and i am pretty good today thanks Ana, how about yourself?"

"That's what other people have said too. And I'm alright I guess. Now that I don't have to go anywhere for a bit. I'm happy to be sitting down as well," which she was because her feet were killing her. She probably shouldn't have been wearing stiletto's around the school when she didn't know where she was going. She'd know better for tomorrow.

Christmas smiled and said "Yeah it is good to sit down cause if you are wandering around trying to find things your feet would hurt" Christmas knew that her fourth year was the same but i mean she still got lost even now at times

"I think I might be investing in a good pair of flats," she said jokingly. Not that she'd be wearing high heels soon anyway. She'd be digging out her boots in the near future to deal with any snow or heavy rain.

While Ana was no longer hungry she was a bit thirsty and so she grabbed the pitcher of Pumpkin Juice and poured herself a glass before looking over at Christmas, "Would you like some?"

Christmas smiled at Ana and said "Yeah that would be a good idea and yes i would love some" Christmas knew that Ana was trying to be friendly

Pulling an extra goblet towards her Ana filled it before putting the pitcher of Pumpkin Juice back down and sliding the glass towards Christmas. Taking a sip of her drink Ana thought about what she could ask Christmas about.

"So besides Quidditch what's there to do around here recreation wise?" she finally settled upon asking. If she was going to make friends Ana would need to get involved in as many extracurricular activities as possible. She was already trying out for the Quidditch team but if she didn't make it she'd need other ways to connect with her peers.

Christmas thought and said "The only other thing that i can think of is Gobstones and there is sometimes helping out with the magical creatures" Christmas couldnt think if there was anything else that she was meant to say to Ana

"We get to help out with the creatures here? Do they have baby ones?" Ana asked excitedly, leaning across the table towards Christmas. That would be sooo cool. As long as there were no snakes. Because she tried to steer clear of those these days. Ironic really that she hated the creatures and yet was sorted into a house with a snake as it's emblem.

Christmas smiled and said "Sometimes it varies year after year"

"I hope they have baby ones. I love looking after the little ones. Whenever my otch-. Whenever my step-father brings the baby ones home to look after them he always lets me help. He hasn't let me near grown ones yet though, at least not unsupervised, so I suppose taking care of the adults could be interesting as well," Ana finished with enthusiasm. If she got to take care of any animals she'd definitely be writing her Otchim about it.

Christmas smiled and said "Yeah i guess we just need to wait and see yeah taking care of the animals in fun"

"So do you have to sign up for it or can just anyone do it? Oh and do they have something similar for the plants?" Because if they did that would be totally awesome.

Christmas thought and said "I am pretty sure you need to sign up for it because well i think you need permission to be in the pens and stuff because i cannot remember what creatures we keep at Hogwarts it changes every year"
