She hugged him back and nodded, "Actually..." Anna blushed and looked at him, "Would you mind if I played a song?" She brushed her hair back again and looked at him. She was slightly nervous, not use to playing for others, but she wouldn't mind letting him hear her... After all, it was Kace... The nicest guy she knew here, even if he didn't like it, he'd probably be kind about it right?

Kace stood there wide eyed. She was gonna play a song? He was interested to hear it. "Sure i would love to hear it." he smiled and was interested to hear how good she was. "What song will you be playing?"

She gave a small smile and gave him another quick hug as thanks and quickly grabbed her guitar before going back over to him, "It's actually an old song... but it's called Extraordinary... It's one of the first songs I learned to play and sing at the same time..." She gave a nervous nod, before she started to play.

Awar suddenly had this feeling of nostalgia hit her. She looked at her cute little puff, growing bigger by the day. Her arms shot out and pulled the young boy closer, "Oh my gosh, Kace! Stop growing up! You're suppose to be my little puff forever!"

She ruffled his hair, "You have better luck at this love thing than I ever did!" Awar pinched his cheeks lightly, "Let me know how that goes, yeah?"

"Uh, hi, was it Nate?" The girl asked carefully. "Nice to see you again!" That guy was over-excited the last time they had met too. "What year are you in? You look a bit big for a student," Leah said honestly.

Altair brought himself to raise his eyes from the cover of his book to look up to new voice. Actually, it was quite a familiar voice. "Yeah, cool. Just and loyal, good ol' Hufflepuff. Did you know you'd be sorted into this house? I sort of expected it." Her family members were in Hufflepuff for ages, but she did not mention that point.

"Did you see that older kid we met in Flourish & Blotts? He's right there." Leah said, jerking her finger to the back of her shoulder.

Messer was about to doze off when he felt someone was watching him. His first thought was the Head couple caught him napping on the couch or worse Hadley. He opened his eyes, instead seeing the Head Couple like he thought he saw a younger Hufflepuff girl. Hey he know her. She's the girl he met during the train ride back to Hogwarts. Should he say Hello?

"Umm. Hi." He gave the girl an awkward wave. "I'm Messer." The seventh year realized that they haven't know each other name and he need to fix that because they're in the same house and all.

Laura looked around the common room after coming into it, she hadn't been in here much so far this term and she then saw someone she wasn't sure if she had met before. "Hello." Laura smiled. "Do you mind me sitting next too you?" Laura was hoping not because she wanted to try and make a new friend if she could.

She liked meowthful? Elodie laughed and took a bow.

"It's a talent, it really is." Another bow, and then she applauded for herself. Ego-boosting, she knew, but she needn't bother caring about it too much. No one was really paying them much attention, except for maybe a few looks when they had been twirling and things.

"Hey Lux? Are you tired? Or do you wanna tell me stuff?" Get-to-know session. "We can do it tomorrow though? Get breakfast together?" Might as well cover all bases in case she had no one to get food with.

Laughing, Lux applauded Elodie when she took a bow. Wow, Elodie was rather funny, and Lux liked puns. Maybe Elodie would have some more awesome puns for her at some point. "You have many talents." Just look at that girl go. Hufflepuffs really were lovely people.

When asked if she was tired, Lux yawned on reflex. The mention of it suddenly reminded her that she had been tired and in fact sleeping when Elodie had woken her up. "That sounds like a great idea, Elodie! Let's do that." Nod. Breakfast at Hogwarts was delicious, and the toast was really nice!

Being applauded was probably Elodie's favourite thing in the universe, and being given it by someone she had only just met was absolutely wonderful. She took a final bow, and gave an accepting wave to her adoring fans new little bud. "I do, I do. Maybe one day I'll show you the rest of them." Like knitting, eating spaghetti, teaming spaghetti with ice cream, making spaghetti, nicknaming people, insulting people, kissing- ....maybe not that last one. That was reserved for special people called Coulson. Aka, Boyf.

OH. She was yawning!!! Elodie smiled and put her arm over the girls shoulder. "I'll walk you to your dorm, make sure you get settled in and then I'll go on to my own, okay? You can get some sleep and we'll get breakfast. I'll meet you at 9." Maybe quarter past.

Elodie really seemed to love the applause, which was a good thing, because she deserved it. "Well, I would love to see what else you can do!" Maybe if it was something really cool, she could learn how to do it from Elodie! Lux always loved learning how to do new things.

Smiling when Elodie put her arm around her, Lux then covered up a second yawn. "Thank you, I really appreciate that." Elodie was so nice, helping her to settle in and feel more welcome.

Oh. Not sleeping then, apparently.

Shame. It wasn't like Olly wanted to TALK to him or anything. He was just nice to look at, really. She WAS allowed to look, right? Well, it wasn't like there was anyone here to tell her no so whatever. Making her own rules right now. It wasn't like she was doing anything wrong. No flirting, no kissing. Those were the rules. And she wasn't about to do either of those things so she was good.

Olly just looked at him for a moment longer even after he'd introduced himself. "Olly." She finally replied with a nod, curling up in her armchair, resting her head on one of the armrests. Now go back to sleep, Messer. Did he play Quidditch?

Altair had a feeling this bloke was a bit of a troublemaker. Working charm as a first year? Sounded a bit aggressive for his taste, but to each their own. "That sounds like quite an adventure," he managed to say. Sneaking out of the common room? He probably had the most confused look on his face, he was't one to hide his feelings. Altair just kind of nodded and laughed along, before turning his attention back to Leah.

"Leah, that's a lovely name," Altair smiled as he retracted his hand from the handshake. "I had no idea I would be sorted into Hufflepuff really. I didn't even know that there were different houses until people mumbled about it. I guess the house saw something in me that screamed Hufflepuff." He laughed. Altair always thought himself as loyal, so it fit. He never thought he had a lot of courage like a Gryffindor, or super intelligent like Ravenclaw or cunning like a Slytherin, so it would make sense for him to be a Hufflepuff.

Altair looked over her shoulder. Oh, it was that guy. "Something about that guy just made me nervous," he whispered. "I'm not used to someone so...so... effervescent." That kind of summed it up in the word. Altair was much more reserved and often kept to himself, except with a few. The fact that he was uttering more than three words to Leah was out there in itself. "How do you like school so far?" he asked. Altair was curious how other first years were handling the new environment. Often he felt the most lonely seeing everyone adapt so quickly and him always being a nervous wreck when it came to magic.

Kaiden was pulled from his thoughts when someone came near him and started talking to him. Sitting up, he nodded, "Yeah, sure." He scooted over just a bit too, to make sure she had enough room, since he was taking up most of the couch. "You're er..." what was her name? he hadn't given her one, so his mind was drawing a complete blank. and she was trying out for the team too. What had he written in his notes? "Laura?!" That was it right?

Kace was impressed. She had a great voice. He smiled and was bopping his head along towards the song. She could even play the guitar really well. He even liked the message to the song. When she ended the song all he could say was, "Wowww...that was really great. You are talented."

He smiled, "Well i can't stop my bones from growing. Unless you have a potion or something." he joked with her. "And i do not know about little puff..." he said. He felt her hair ruffle and he squirmed underneath it. "Thanks for that."

"I am?" he asked perplexed. "I never thought i would be good at this love thing...you so call it. And i will of course let you know." he said squirming away from getting his cheeks pinched.

Kace noticed his perplexed look and smiled. "Yeah...but not everyone is the same. I bet your a good guy with a good head on his shoulders. What do you plan to learn in your first year?" he asked him.

She pulled him into an inescapable hug, "NO! You're gonna be my little puff forever!" Pat, pat. "You'll never grow up and leave me like your sister!" Pat, pat. Pause. "How is she, by the way? I miss Belle tons!"

Hayley was tired. Homework was being homework and she really didn't have enough energy to want to do them all at once. She was going to have to go to the library to look things up for a lot of it and the library was so far away. So instead, she decided that it was probably a good time to bond with her cat.

Curling up into an armchair with Marshmallow and a packet of jellybeans to snack on, she pretty much expected the cat to jump off the chair and start running around the place and toppling things. She didn't, though. Instead, the cat decided that maybe for now, snuggling with Hayley was a good idea. There weren't all that many people for her to play with around, anyway.

If a certain boy with nice hair and a pogo stick arrived, though, Hayley was not going to be held responsible for Marshmallow's actions. Sometimes, she even thought that Marshmallow would crawl into bed with Toby if she even knew where he was. Hayley wasn't sure herself, but Marshmallow was probably much smarter than she was.

She looked up at him, not able to fight a blush at the compliment, "Thanks..." Anna smiled at him, "You should feel special though, I never sing in front of others... at least not on purpose." She gave a small laugh, "I've always been too nervous to ask others to listen."

Awkward.

That was the first thing come to his mind. Maybe he shouldn't said Hello in the first place but that would be rude. And why she looked at him like that? Did he has something on his face? Umm. "Nice to meet you, Olly." Now, should he keep talking to her or go back to sleep? But its impossible to go back to sleep when someone was watching you so talking its then.

"You like chocolate frogs?" He took some chocolate frogs from his bag and offered her some.

It had taken a surprisingly short amount of time for Tobias to finish his homework. Admittedly, he didn't have all that much to do, but homework was homework and this particular little badger was still learning how to channel his energy into anything that required staying still.

Still, he was perfectly able to channel his energy into SOME things that weren't bouncing about like a hyperactive frog, and one of those things was Quidditch. The third year now settled himself in front of the fire, without noticing who might by nearby, and straightened a stack of parchment in his hands, commandeering a low-to-the-ground table nearby by setting the parchment down upon it. He placed an inkpot on the table too, as well as a quill.

With that, the boy opened up his heavily thumbed copy of Quidditch Through the Ages and set about looking for special moves and techniques and anything noteworthy that he may have missed in previous read-throughs. Without even realising he was doing it, Toby picked up his quill and twirled the feathered end in his hair as he read. Hmmmmm.

It was nice to meet her? "Is it?" Olly smirked at him before going back to watching him in silence. Somehow it didn't look like he was going to go back to sleep any time soon. Sucks. Now, what else was she supposed to do until her next lesson started, hmm? There was no one else around.

At least no one interesting enough to engage with. Siiigh.

Ah. Food. Her eyes went back to Messer when he spoke up again. "...sure." She reached out and took one out of his hand. And because she really didn't have anything better to do Olly asked him a question. "You're in your last year, yeah?" It wasn't even a good question. A rather lame one really but whatever.

He stood there wide eyed. "You should sing to others! I mean you have a talent for that sort of thing. I am quite jealous. I wish i could play the guitar." he shrugged and grinned. "So now i feel honored that Miss. Anna played for me." he said putting his hand over his heart.

"I do not think you should feel nervous to ask people. I will tell you a secret....i actually love to doodle as well. I will show you some." he grinned. He went over to his backpack and got out his notebook.

He showed her pics of his sketchbook. "I do not think i am that good."

He squirmed and then felt her patting him and he smiled. He could let her get away with that. "Aww i am sorry my dear, but i think i will hate to break it to ya." he winked and shrugged. Then he heard her question about Belle and he answered.

"Oh she is doing well! She is working right now and making her own living. She is living with my aunt right now while she is paying for her college education." He really admired her. She was trying to set him a good example even though it could be hard.

... And the blush just grew, "I... I would but I go mute in front of others normally... I mean, Mel's never even heard me play." She smiled weakly and looked at him, "But I'm glad you like it so much." Anna nodded, "And you really should feel honored." She gave a small laugh.

She looked at him and then to the sketchbook, "Actually, I think they're quite good." She nodded and smiled up at him, "I mean, better than anything I could ever hope to draw." She nodded and smiled, "Most my talent seems to stay with music."

She smiled at the thought of a hard working Belle, "That's amazing! I hope you grow up like your sister. Then your family will be like the superior, smartest, and awesomest family in the wizarding world!"

"What makes me soo special?" he asked her with a smile. "I did really like it. You were amazing. I gonna get you to play publicly one day. Then you will be thanking me." he winked and nudged her.

"Ah and thanks.." he said looking down at his drawings. "I mean this is how i pay attention in class sometimes. I can remember what the teacher said by which drawing i did." he said and then pointed to one. "See this one? I did it in Transfiguration when they were talking about the spells used to make the boats."

Then he referred to her music talent, "But the music talent thing. That is a great start for you."

Kace smiled and blushed. "Aww thanks Lesta..and i will write an owl to her to tell her you said Hi." he said mentioning it. He meant to send her a letter but try outs were getting in the way.

"Now we need to have some adventures you and I." he said.
