The Three Broomsticks http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...0Thingy/3b.png Centered among the shops of Hogsmeade is a well enough known pub in the small village, called The Three Broomsticks. Not unlike the Hog's Head down the street in the strictest idea of pubs, drinks and the like, however it is the atmosphere that helps make the latter choice the one hailed by the mass majority. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings, yet taller, with a sign on it's facade featuring, you guessed it, the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way. |
Ah, The Three Broomsticks. Seemed the perfect place to have a meal and to meet the locals. |
Ashleysaurus! ^_^ Brrrrrrrrrr! As soon as he had taken his first step out of the castle, Alec immediately regretted his decision to take a trip down to Hogsmeade. It wasn't as if he hadn't been here before; visits to the village never usually went amiss by the boy. Except... it was COLD. And he couldn't help but think of the hot chocolate he could have been sipping back in the common room. Hot chocolate... complete with whipped cream and extra marshmallows. ... This settled it. He had to go and get himself some hot cocoa. Which meant... yes! PERFECT. The Hufflepuff hurried along towards the door of the Three Broomsticks before heading inside. The immediate rush of warmth was comforting; so much so, that Alec took off his beanie and ruffled his hair into place. That was probably another reason as to why he should have stayed at the castle. Beanies were comfortable but they did tend to-- ... BLINK. There was only one person here? Confused, the boy took a couple of steps forward and looked around, as if expecting more people to pop out from underneath tables or around the side of the bar. But... it was more or less empty. Apart from stranger over there. He shrugged before taking off his coat and hanging it up by the door, along with his beanie. He turned back to look over at the stranger... and then at the tables. There was something great about the emptiness: choice of seats! He headed over towards an empty table and sat down as quietly as possible. There. ... More people were coming, right? |
SPOILER!!: Alec! After stocking up on her shampoo and conditioner at the salon, Ella decided to take a stroll along the street and window shop. This decision would have been a more perfect one if it weren't for the bitter cold. BRRRR. The blonde found that after passing one or two more places, her fingers were like icicles and she couldn't stand it any longer. She really should have brought her elephant Spotting The Three Broomsticks ahead, the seventeen year old hurried towards it. Surely she could warm up in there, yeah? ...Yeah. ... So...it was pretty dead in here. Ella was surprised too because normally the place was filled with students but perhaps the cold had kept them away. Merlin knew she was longing for the warmth of the Hufflepuff fire place right now. Her gaze fell on what she thought was the lone customer in the place and she smiled faintly, not wanting to interrupt him if he wasn't up for a chat. And she'd need to find a seat which wouldn't be too ha- BEAM. Boyfriend was here! Hi boyfriend. The blonde's face lit up immediately and she smiled, thinking it funny that they'd both ended up at the same place. She quietly made her way over and took the seat across from him, shrugging off her coat when she got settled. "Fancy meeting you here." Grin. |
Text Cut: Ells! He was sitting... in the Three Broomsticks... all on his own. Great. Just... GREAT. His grey-blue eyes scanned the area some more before landing on the stranger. Lone stranger. He had half an urge to go up to the stranger and talk to him because... hey, why not? Before he could do more than blink at the guy for a second or so -- why was he so creepy? -- the door opened and he turned to look over at-- GIRLFRIEND. The grin was instantaneous and he watched as she headed over towards... him! YEAH! Maybe she'd want some hot cocoa too? Especially if she was cold? ... Was she cold? Did she need his coat? Or his beanie? He was sure both of those things would look good on her, no matter what. "And you!" he said, grinning some more at her, "I didn't know you were coming down to Hogsmeade today!" Otherwise he would have waited for her and they could have walked down together. Unless... she had actually been waiting for someone else to hang out with. But that wasn't important since she was here now. What was important was... ... "Do you want anything to eat?" Because he was STARVED. And he'd pay. Nodnod. |
SPOILER!!: <33 He looked really nice, Alec did. The kind of nice that made Ella want to kiss him only she refrained for the moment. Food? "Yes please." Big smile for the boyfriend. Ella was starved. "Hot chocolate and..." What went good with hot chocolate? Duh. More chocolate! "And a brownie?" Please and thank you. |
Text Cut: ^_^ The salon? "The one that's down the road?" ... That... was probably the only salon on the street, right? Great. Way to make a fool of yourself, Summers. But hey, salon meant HAIR so had she bought something to do with hair? "Buy anything interesting from there?" As for him... his reasoning wasn't as interesting. In fact, it was probably going to make him come across as the lame Hufflepuff that he was. "Erm... I just decided to come to Hogsmeade and take a walk but then I felt cold so I came here..." See? Completely lame and uninteresting. So food was happening! AWESOME. Hot chocolate and... a brownie? "Candy Girl would be really proud of that choice if she knew," GRIN. "But it sounds awesome. You sure you don't want anything else?" He smiled at her for a moment before looking down at the menu himself. There... were a lot of choices, actually. |
SPOILER!!: :) It was the only salon on the street but Ella didn't let on that she'd noticed. Instead she smiled and nodded in confirmation, pulling the bag down some so that he could see what was inside. "Shampoo and conditioner. I've heard some good things about it so I wanted to give it a try." And she shrugged, covering the contents again and placing the bag on the chair beside her. She was much more interested in what he'd been up to, y'know? "I'm really glad I bumped into you, y'know." So the walk thing had actually been a pretty good idea, boyfriend. "You think?" GRIN. "I'll have to mention it to her, then?" She'd have suggested bringing her a brownie back but there was no promising she wouldn't eat it on the way. As for wanting anything else, the blonde shook her head. "Nope. What are you going to have?" Hmmm? |
Text Cut: Girlfriend! Alec was really glad that she hadn't mentioned anything about the 'only salon on the street'. Or had she even noticed it in the first place? ... She probably had. There was no way she could have missed that. But hey, the topic of conversation had turned to something about hair! He leant forwards slightly and took a peek inside the bag. "Oh! Well... I hope it works for you!" Even if she already had great hair that he... sort of... couldn't help... but stare at. BLINK. ... Alec reached up a hand and ruffled his hair, glad that the Captain had gone on to say something else. "You are?" The boy nodded before saying, "Awesome! Do you two... talk a lot?" Because if so, that was almost like Ells and Astrid talking to each other and getting along. Things like that made Alec REALLY happy! ... You know... when certain 'w' words weren't mentioned. "Okay!" His eyes scanned the list once last time. "I think... I might get a brownie too. And cookies. And... strawberry shortcake!" Could she tell that he was hungry? |
Ella and Alec, hello Text Cut: the Staring Hufflepuffs As he went to pick another chip from his plate, Ström noticed that someone else had entered the pub and was staring. At him. He gave the other young man a polite wave, then watched as he was shortly joined by a pretty blonde girl. Hmm, friend of his? Were they Hogwartians? Certainly seemed so. |
Tora wandered into The Three Broomsticks, basking in the sudden warmth of the pub. She looked about for anyone she knew, and seeing no one she knew personally she decided to sit by herself. It was impolite to just randomly walk up to someone else's conversation, especially when they were older students. She knew that she wouldn't be sitting alone for long though. Someone would probably wander into the popular meeting place sooner or later and then she would have someone to sit with. For now, she pulled out a book she had been trying to finish and started to read. |
SPOILER!!: Boyfriend He hoped they worked for her? Did that mean he thought her hair needed work? "I...thanks." Ella ran a hand through her hair with a slightly concerned expression before deciding it was perfectly soft and silky. Phew. Anyways, eyes back on the boyfriend because he had a nice face and Ella was going to enjoy looking at it. BEAM. "Yeah, of course. This means we can hang out." Which was her favorite thing to do, in case he didn't know. "Me and Lex? When we see each other we do." Nodnod. Ella quite enjoyed the Gryffindor. She had spunk, y'know? Ella appreciated spunk. She smiled and shook her head when Alec shared all that he'd be ordering, amused. "Someone is hungry!" Grin. "You'll share cookies with me, yeah?" Hopeful looks. Ella could definitely down some cookies. SPOILER!!: Stranger dude She would have said more about sharing kisses later too but then they had company. OH! It was the dude that had been sitting by himself. Stranger dude. He seemed polite and very alone so Ella gave him a smile. "Hey. Yeah, really cold. Not a great day to be outside." Because it was cold. ... ... EEP. She was failing at this small talk stuff. The blonde glanced at the boyfriend for help because she was being awkward per usual and then back at stranger boy. "I'm Ella, by the way. And this is Alec." Grin at the boyfriend. "You don't go to Hogwarts, do you?" Cause he didn't look familiar. Not at all. |
for Deniz A year and a half. It's been a year and a half since Louisa was in Hogsmeade, yet when she first stepped into the main street everything looked and felt so familiar and warm. She had a small smile on her lips walking down the familiar road, the memories rushing back too fast; this is where she pulled off that flirting charade with Paulie, this is where she followed Vashti and Anakin to their first date, this is when she saw Dallin and Ellie holding hands and be in love, and this is where she was supposed to meet Joao today. The door creaked a bit when she opened it, the warm aroma hitting her face and warming up her red cheeks instantly. She paused, taking off her coat and looking around the place for any familiar faces. Nope. No one she recognized, although the boy at one of the tables looked oddly familiar (Alec). Hmm. Anyways. Louisa claimed a two-chair table and set her coat on the back of her chair, crossing her legs and taking the menu in her hands. Aaah, a glass of firewhiskey would be great. |
saying hi to Louisa ...and ordering~ Instead of waiting around, Daichi first figured he should warm up with a cup of hot chocolate before moving forward to the next shop. As he opened the door to The Three Broomsticks, he dusted off the snow from his hair and shoulders and unwrapped his grey scarf. It wasn't like he was meeting someone here but if he saw someone he knew then that would be fine as well. But first he needed to warm up. As the ex-Slytherin made his way to the bar to order a drink his brown eyes landed on a girl ....that he knew... Taking a seat at the bar, the eighteen year old didn't take his eyes off of her. And then it hit him. "LOUISAAAA~!" He WAVED enthusiastically from his seat at the bar and jumped up to run towards her. He stopped before he did this action and sat back down again. She looked like she was waiting for someone so..it was rude to come in between right? YUSH! he would sit at this bar, order a hot chocolate and SPY on them~! Wait...was he a spy if he had already given away his location? mweh... "Can i have a hot chocolate please?" he asked the barkeeper and found his money in his pocket. |
Text Cut: Daichiiii <3 .... oh wow. That was definitely her name. Louisa turned around and saw a big boy waving at her, and then jumping off his stool to come over but changing his mind at the last minute. ... .... Daichi?!! A chuckle rose inside her, she got up to her feet, leaving her coat and handbag at the table, and went to say a quick hello. "Merlin's Beard, I can't believe it's you! You have stubbly chin!" She wrapped her arms around the younger former Slytherin and squeezed him a bit before letting go, and staring into his face, "Merlin's Beard. No more baby cheeks to pinch. What is this magic, huh." She nudged him, with a smirk on her face. "I'm waiting for someone at the table, maybe we can take a walk after you're done with your drink and I'm done with my appointment?" Hmm? Pleeeeease? Louisa continued to stare at his stubbly chin with a smirk. MERLIN. He was old. |
Text Cut: Ells and not Kurt nope Things always seemed to become awkward between the two of them, for some reason. Always. And this seemed to be one of those cases. ... Or... maybe it was just him? "Erm... anytime?" Also, she shouldn't touch her hair like that because it made him stare and want to touch her hair, which seemed to be happening to him right now. ... At least she was smiling, yeah? He grinned at her before saying, "I like the sound of hanging out with you." "It's great that you two get along!" Yeah, he was REALLY glad about this tiny little fact. Even if he himself hadn't talked to her in quite some time. ... That... needed to be changed. Maybe some-- ... Did the girl just shake her head at him? "I can't help it?" he said, a sheepish expression crossing his face, "Of course! I think... the menu said that they come in twos?" Perfect, much? ... Oh HEY! Look who it was! Waving dude. "Hey there!" he said, giving the guy a single wave and a smile. He was joining them? Yeah? Awesome. Good choice, stranger dude. "Very," Nodnod. "Guess it's a good thing it's quite warm in here." The Hufflepuff shot the blonde haired girl a smile, as if he was trying to tell her that she wasn't doing a bad job at the small talk thing. Not at all! At least, he was sure it was better than anything he could do. And speaking of small talk, he should really say something, right? Be polite and all that. But what should he say? Make a joke? Talk about how they could sneak him into Hogwarts if he wanted them to? ... Yeah, no. He did smile, though, when their introductions were made. "And what brings you to Hogsmeade if... if you're not from around here?" See? He was BAD at small talk. |

Daichi touched his chin and was shocked that...she was right. "But i don't want to have a stubby chin~~!" he whined. It wasn't like it was THAT visible but for someone standing so close , like Louisa was, it might me. So he rubbed his hand on his chin, cause a red spot to appear. Great, now it looked like he had a red beard GAAAH! As Louisa hugged him, or more like squeezed him So he had been right about her meeting someone. His brown eyes looked at the seats for a second and then...punched Louisa against her arm. "IDIOT! your stuff could get stolen if you leave them behind like that!" Honestly! But then he smiled and nodded his head "I have soooo much tell you~! But i'll tell you alllll about my awesome Prefect-ness" hint hint "after your appointment." .......... "Are you on a DATE?!" huh huh? do tell! And no , he didn't had any twinkly eyes |
Quote:
To her surprise, it was fairly empty, with only a cluster of older students in one place, a couple of adults talking by by the bar and Tora reading something (as usual) all on her own. Oh, and was that annoying Hufflepuff who goes by some name that starts with an A? Yeah, he was talking to another Puff that she recognised, and then someone Adrienne was pretty sure she'd never seen before in her life. She cast them an odd glance, but didn't approach them, instead deciding to silently head over to Tora and tap her on the shoulder while actually standing on her other side. |
João was excited for this meeting. He'd missed Louisa, although he couldn't admit it, and he was pleased when she sent him a letter to meet him. He was smug, even. So he didn't rush to Hogsmeade to arrive before her. If he was the first, fine; if he wasn't, that was alright too. He was wearing a grey sweater with a black t-shirt underneath, jeans and boots. He didn't carry any bag, naturally. He just carried a box of finest Brazilian chocolate, bought by his mum before the... stuff. He frowned upon remembering her and took a deep breath. She couldn't ruin this. He opened the door to the familiar café and stood by the entrance until he spotted her. She was talking to a boy he barely recognised, but... surely the boy didn't belong to their table? He wanted to see her ALONE, after all. He didn't hear their conversation though not because the place was crowded, but because he wasn't paying attention. Putting on a smile that came naturally with Louisa, he walked to them in his confident manner. Or, rather to a retreating Louisa. He eyed the boy intelligently and nodded politely. He must be someone from school. João was sure he'd seen him around, but no names came to his mind. Whatever. "Louisa," he greeted her with a big smile, putting the chocolate box between them. It even had a red ribbon on it. "There are for you." |
Text Cut: Daichi XD Welp, those were two contradicted notions. He didn't want stubble and yet he denied the baby cheeks. Louisa quirked an eyebrow at him and didn't reply because he DID have stubbly chin, she was ready to touch his face and prove it if she didn't know how shy Daichi was. OW. O.O Did he just punch her arm??? Daichi??? Cute Daichi that tried to steal her kitty once upon a time? Louisa froze for a moment, rubbing her punched arm, before she burst out in laughter. "Oh I'm loving what graduating did to you. All tough and manly, eh?" Nudgenudge. "I can't wait to hear all about it." She was still laughing. Of course. He'd think she was on a date. Although it didn't make sense that she would cross half the world to get a date in the three broomsticks. At least the date should've been somewhere fancy in London to make up for her travel troubles. But this was Daichi with his overly-excited... self. So Louisa pushed her mouth in a lopsided smile, "Not a date. Just meeting up with a very old friend." She didn't know if Daichi knew or remembered who Joao was, but if he really was going to spy on her (which elicited a heartily laugh from her), he'd know who she was meeting in a few! She leaned closer and hugged him again, "I'll see you in a bit, chinbutt." With a snicker she dodged away from him and quickly made her way back to her table. Text Cut: João João was already meeting her at their table. Louisa's smirk was dropped and replaced with a small, nostalgic smile. She didn't know whether to hug him like they normally do or just shake his hand? Shaking his hand was awfully lame and awkward, and seeing that he had a chocolate box with a cute ribbon, she inclined to just smile and sit down in her chair. "Hey you. Long time no see." No kidding. The chocolate got her full attention now, "Always the gent, huh?" She chuckled and started opening the box. He can be the one with high society etiquette and manners for both of them, she was going to smudge her mouth and face eating chocolate right now. "Brazilian chocolate? I expect Brazil nuts choclate." She grinned, bit into the wrappings of the box and tore them off it with her teeth. A little eager to have some. Don't mind her. |
Quote:
"With you in New Zealand, it's a bit hard." He was only teasing, though. He had finally understood it had been too hard for her after Vincenzo, and he wanted the best for her. "That's my middle name," he said, chuckling along. He raised his eyebrows when she tore the paper open, but didn't say anything. Was she angry? Did they serve food here? It had been too long since he'd been here. He looked around distractedly before answering her. "You know, I try to hide my fondness for him." The box was actually a mixture of all kinds--almond, nuts, milk, bitter. Anything she liked. "What would you like to have?" |
Craaaap! He had punched her arm! He had punched a girls arm! Was he going to get yelled at But no time for that because it seemed that her DATE had just walked in WITH A BOX OF CHOCOLATES KYAAA~ ok he acted like a girl right now.. "Ok, i'll see la--CHINBUTT?!" he flailed his arms as he watched the older girl walk to her table again and it was then that the former Slytherin caught the other guy staring at him. It was the kind of look that made him uncomfortable, like he was judging him. In the back of his mind, he felt like he knew him but no name came up in his mind. He would sit here and stalk..eeeh..drink his hot chocolate when he got some! We're watching you, mysterious guy who looks familiar! |
Quote:
... of him? Okay, the slow motion charade was dropped as her eyebrows knotted. "He? He who?" Pause. "The Brazil Nut nickname giver?" She forced out a laugh and popped another piece of chocolate into her mouth. "I think he hides what he knows of most people." Including Joao liking him secretly. Maybe it was just for the sake of Adam? Even if Adam was practically missing for a year now, no contact, no word from him. BUT, she wasn't here to complain or whine or be gloomy. Louisa perked up, grinned revealing some chocolate stained teeth, and answered instantly, "A glass of firewhiskey please, with this chocolate." Yum yum yummm. She licked her teeth and took ANOTHER chocolate. "Those are so good, thank you." Chewing and talking. She was being completely herself today. Hopefully her dress didn't fool Joao into thinking she changed or matured because then he was up for a big surprise, hehe. |
Zéline wandered about, not entirely sure of where to go. She knew nothing of the place and the other Beauxbatons students had gone separate ways, which she did not mind, honestly. Although companion would be nice, she could find her way around without help, even not knowing the place. Adjusting her bag on her shoulder, she noticed a sign on top of a doorway and thought The Three Broomsticks had a nice ring to it, so she decided to check the place. Zéline entered the pub and walked around. She didn't smile at anyone, but also didn't give rude looks. It was her first time in England and even though she had had English lessons for many years, she was still too self conscious to start conversations with native speakers. Zéline would be happy just to listen to them. She glanced around the main room and waited for pretty much nothing. |
Taylor twirled into the Three Broomsticks and glanced around the room. Tay danced over to a booth and slipped out of her coat, tossing it onto the seat and slipped into the beach, sighing in relief. Her legs were frozen since they were uncovered outside. Taylor glanced at her coat that was thrown beside her and slipped it onto her legs, smiling. They can get warm now and she still looked cute, no? Tay flipped her curls and puffed them up, crossing her legs. She waited for Wade to get there and was hoping she would get to see a certain hufflepuff seventh year quidditch player who just happened to be Wade's friend and also goes by the name Nash Cash. She smiled at the thought and uncrossed her legs to swing them a little, blushing at the thought of him then soon something entered her mind, causing a frown. Her legs stopped swinging and re-crossed her legs. Taylor sighed and a tear came down her cheek. She swiped it away and whimpered but then messed with the menu a little, checking it out and trying to fake happiness so that Wade wouldn't see her upset since Tay was 'happy and perky' and shouldn't be upset and anyways, she was supposed to 'forget about it'. She huffed and rolled her eyes, tossing the menu back on the table. Forget about it? How can I simply forget about it? Is he stupid? A frown showed and she tapped her fingernails on the table and sighed. Taylor closed her eyes and took a deep breath, rubbing her temples, trying to relax. She was here to have fun with Wade... forget about all others but him... the kitty guy... A laugh and a smile escaped her lips and she reopened her eyes, genuinely smiling. |

"Hey! I don't think I've seen you around school, would you like to come sit with us?" And tell us everything about you and why you seem so suspicious? Are you a spy? Do you think you can get past us this easily? Do you have something to do with the creepy Arithmancy professor and his creepy door? |
Hot Cocoa. That sounded good. And the best place to get it in Hogsmeade was the Three Broomsticks. The Hog's Head was alright, but it wasn't always... clean. And it was farther away and he was cold. Untucking his scarf, Pierson kicked off the snow from his boots and walked into The Three Broomsticks and ordered himself a nice mug of hot chocolate before finding a seat at a table by the roaring fireplace. Ahhh, yes, this was pleasant. Hogsmeade was just as he remembered it. |
Quote:
The snow out was good for snow-people making and she pondered on that as she walked around tables. Maybe she'd drag an Alice out to build one with her again like last year. However, all her thoughts flew right out into the snow when she spotted Professor Facial Hair sitting all by himself. Would it be weird to talk to him? No? "Hello, Professor." She greeted, smiling brightly at the man. |
Quote:
"Ah, Miss Moretti, hello." He gave his student a smile and a nod. "I trust you're enjoying the Hogsmeade Weekend?" The ones in the winter had always been her personal favorites. |

Once inside, Wade searched around to see where she was... Aha. Finally he found Tay, though alone at a booth waiting. She must be thirsty, he thought, getting him to make a first stop at the bar to order and pay for two butterbeers. He took them right over to where she was at, his hair slightly ruffling a little on its own as he passed by the nearby Professor Fuller, before smiling back at her as he made his tiger kitty *Purrrrrrrrrr* noise at her. "Sorry for the wait, I got us some drinks." He set them down before joining her in the sitting, "I'm so glad that Hogsmeade's open again." Last he heard was on her and his mate, Nash's mutual crush on each other.. yet they weren't dating. That always got his brows furrowing, before remembering how long it took him to finally ask his Indy out. He hoped things were still good between the two, which got him asking. "So how've you been, Tay? Anything new lately?" |
Text Cut: Adrienne Tora looked about until she saw her friend Adrienne standing on her other side. "Hey! How are you doing?" she grinned and motioned for her to come sit down. When she realized that Adrienne was also inviting over a student Tora had never seen before. "Oh, hello," she said unsure of what to say for a moment, but Adrienne had already invited her over, so she might as well introduce herself. "I'm Tora Gallaway. Where are you from? I haven't seen you at school. Are you new?" she asked in her usual curious manner. Looking sideways as Adrienne, she gave her friend a confused look, who was this girl? And why was she here? |
Text Cut: Louisa ...João looked at her in confusion. "We call him 'Paulie' for short." Why making such a hard adjective? Had she been studying too much that her brain got... slower, or whatever that was? He eyed the chocolate box. She had had too many chocolates. He didn't say anything though, in case she might be offended. "He isn't as silly as he looks, yes." That might have sounded harsh, but it was true. Paulie did look silly most of the time. But pilots ought to be clever, so João was going to accept he was. He frowned deeply, though his gaze was on the table to not look so badly at her. She... did she realise what she was doing? Because they were past polite questions and also because he tried to make her see. He didn't mind her eating messily or a lot. "Enjoy," he said. She certainly did. |
Quote:
... well. Wasn't that awfully rude and judgmental of him. Some things never change, apparently. Louisa stuffed her mouth with another piece of chocolate, "Isn't that obvious?" She got up and went to get her drink herself. When she sat back down, she sat with attitude and took a sip from the glass and a glance at him with the same attitude. Let's get this over with. "So, what's up?" Unless he wanted to leave. Then, she was going to finish the drink and go on a walk with Daichi. |
Quote:
He had this sweet smile when she returned with the bottle and watched her with interest as she took a sip. "I've moved to London," he said as if nothing had happened. Only, his face was flushed and he was breathing a little more heavily. "With you?" |

"I am, thank you. Are you?" She rubbed her hands together and placed them on her red cheeks. "S'so cold out though." He definitely had the right idea, sitting by the fire and drinking... was that hot chocolate? YUM. Cat was soooo getting some of that too. |

Wade's brows furrowed as he saw her reach into her purse.. to take out money for him. His brows raised before he looked back at her smiling softly, "Oh don't worry about it, Tay. It's on me." His hand took those ten sickles to kindly pass them back to her. He liked being generous, plus he knew everybody had to save their moneys while Hogwarts still had some fees to be taken care of. But it didn't stop there, next thing she pulled out were two items, one was... oh wow a keychain and...... pickles. Wade blinked at them.. "Whoa.." Right. His birthday. He was eighteen on the 1th of December. He looked back at Tay as he hugged her again before holding the jar of pickles and quidditch themed keychain in his arms before blinking back at her. "Tay.. these are perfect. Thank you!" Okay, so he'll definitely keep these. They were going to be used gratefully. *Sniff *Sniff*... What? He liked the smell of pickles. "I love them!" See, he was already fastening the keychain on, before popping open the jar of pickles. Taking just one, he ate it with pride savouring the flavor. "Mm.. delicious." He laughed a little before closing the lid back on to save the precious pickles for later. "Well, that's good." Wade then looked very interested in hearing what Tay was saying, especially after talking about a date she had recently. "..Yeah?" His smile widened. "With who? So how was your date?" Oh, and him? "Not too much, just those patrols I have to do and Quidditch practice." He blinked though as he suddenly remembered, "My dad told me I was going to be a big brother soon.. him and his girlfriend are having twins." |

"But do you like it there?" Last time they'd talked... she was sharing a room with a boy. Right. |

...Was that a French accent she detected? "Adrienne Colbert," she said in response, holding out a hand to shake. And yes! It was! Adrienne smiled eagerly. "Marseille? I spend my summers quite near there, in Aix-en-Provence. Are you from Beauxbatons, then?" she asked, flipflopping back and forth between French and English accents for the various words in each language. She hadn't spoken to anyone from France since school had started, except for a few letters to Mamie and Papie, so she was excited to meet someone new from there. "It's nice to meet you, Zéline," she said, pronouncing the name exactly how the girl had done it. |

But he was oblivious. His scalp was still numb cold from being outside. Quote:
It was cold, but he liked it. "I don't mind it, or the snow. It actually sticks here. Not much in Greece." He bet she didn't know he just came from Greece. He bet she didn't know a lot of things about him. Because she was a student. Duh. |
Quote:
She frowned slightly as his eyebrows furrowed. Tay gave him a small pout and fluttered her eyelashes, ”Please, Wade, think of it as a birthday gift. Taylor clasped her hands together in a begging pose. She beamed at what he said about the gifts, ”I was hoping you would like them. I ran into Alec and he said it was your birthday and I asked him for gift ideas. I knew that you liked pickles and played quidditch but I didn’t know you were a chaser… especially as wonderful at it as he seemed to think… You should hear his praises… I have to see you play sometime… but I bet you are just as wonderful as I am told you are.” Tay smiled and held back a chuckle as he smelt them. ”I am glad you love them.” Her smile sweeten as he already clipped the keychain on and ate a pickle. ”I am glad that you think they are delicious.” She beamed at him. Tay smiled, ”Yep.” When he asked with who and how was it, she went bright red, ”Umm… Nash… and it was good, a picnic by the duck pond.” Taylor glanced down with a smile that showed how much she had fallen for him. She twisted a blonde curl around her finger and sighed, happily then looked back up at him. ”Patrols and practices? How can you keep on top of it all? I can hardly do classes and practices.” Tay laughed and smiled, ”Congrats on the soon-to-be siblings… and twins, ya say? I am a twin…” She beamed, ”Twins are the best!” Taylor giggled. |

She let him have those and leaned forward on the table. Her hand going for the chocolate again. "Three and a half years, huh? Time flies by so quickly. It makes sense then." To come here where his friends and girlfriend resided after finishing his commitments in Brazil. "And what are you going to do now? Work? Do you have a flat? Did you talk to your dad?" She knew his family's history, okay? No need to dodge or feel embarrassed, they were beyond that. How did she like it there? Ah. Louisa leaned back in her chair and crossed her legs, "I'm very happy there, thank you. The good thing about living in a far off place is that you can have all the time to think things over without distractions or emotional pressure from your family and friends. The downside of living there is feeling homesick and sometimes lonely." Especially if you have a flatmate who teaches his puppy to pee in your bed if you leave the room's door open. "But this is what I want. Nothing is perfect, and nothing worthy comes easily." So. |
Quote:
Curiouser and curiouser. Okay then. "How long has it been?" She asked, still rather curious. She wanted to know things about the man. He seemed to be rather mysterious and such and maybe it was also because of her crush. She was going to figure his age if he gave her a date. Maybe. "You've been to Greece?" Cat sat down, enthralled. "What's it like? Is it beautiful?" Only then did she realize she had sat at his table without being invited. Whoops. ".... Do you mind if I sit?" Should have asked that first, yes. Get it together, Moretti. |
Quote:
He smiled, if somewhat sadly, as she asked about Greece. "I lived there for nine years." Nine. Years. Wow. That almost sounded weird now, since he had moved back to the UK just recently. It almost seemed a lifetime ago. "It was beautiful, yeah," he sighed, leaning back into his chair, only just then realizing that she had sat down. "Oh, yeah, I don't mind." In fact, he probably should have invited her, but he was... distracted by Greece thoughts. "The people are great." Most of them. "The culture is fascinating. The food is incredible. The weather is fantastic." The way he talked and thought about it would make anyone wonder why he left, but he had his reasons. Good ones, too. |
Text Cut: Louisa João nodded. That much time had really passed in a blink of an eye. He traced the edge of the glass with his finger absent-mindedly as he thought about his mother once again. Luckily though, Louisa asked him another question soon enough. "I've applied to British Ministry," he said and smirked to himself. Louisa learnt it before Aspen did. If his girlfriend found out she was the last one to know, he was getting a thorough hex. He wouldn't really blame her, but he liked to surprise her too. "I talked to him before applying, yes. He supports my decision, but said I should have my own flat. Helped me with renting one in Tottenham." And he'd paid for everything ever since. João had been here for only a week, but he had settled down so he'd needed a lot of money. His dad was really the best. The Brazilian eyed her for a second because realising she hadn't asked about his mother. Good. He wasn't prepared to talk about her. She was a whole different story than his father and... he still couldn't get over her words. ... He nodded after listening to her. "I'm glad you are happy," he said with a smile. "You know you can ask me if you ever need help with your coursework." His smile got wider. She was following him in faculty and it amused him for some reason. Probably because she used to look so down on politics, yet now she was saying it was her dream too. "How is your room-mate?" Still a male? Could João hide his dislike for the situation? Hopefully, yes. |
Quote:
Even if he was old. OLD. Oh good. He didn't mind if she sat with him. That would've been super awkward. She hadn't meant to, but she was super interested in talking about Greece. "I bet. I'd love to visit some day. Is there a place that is nicer than the others? I was in Egypt a while this summer, have you ever been there? It's aweeesomeee." Culture, food, weather.... fascinating, incredible and fantastic. Ugh, it sounded perfect. |
Quote:
Though Wade was smiling, one of his brows rose slightly at her redness. Ah.. so it was Nash. He listened as she talked about where they had it at. "That does sound nice.. I'm glad you two had a good time. So, you two are going to see more of each other then, right?" He began sipping some of butterbeer, which coated his little stache already, before shrugging while smiling. "I dunno.. I guess I got more energy than during OWLs year. I slept so much during then. " Which was true, the studying was exhausting then. "and thanks, I'm quite excited about helping take care of them." He then looked at Tay surprised, "Really? I didn't know that, so whose your twin?" Laughing a little with her, "Yeah, they're double the fun!" |
She hadn't the slightest clue as to why she ventured out here today, not one, but here she was, alone, and just wanting to get out of the castle for a change. Surprisingly so the seventh year opted for a dres and paired it with some leggings and a jacket to keep her warm in the chilly December air. She should get food or something, or maybe just sit and people watch.. with some pumpkin juice. so that's what she did, went to the bar, got a pumpkin juice and sat at a table by herself, and watched everyone. #PeropleWatching101 happening over here |

Text Cut: Zéline and Adrienne Tora grinned and maybe even laughed a bit at Adrienne's response. "Oh so very funny," she said mock sternly. ----- Oh. She was French. Unfortunately for Tora, she knew no French whatsoever and was therefore at a great disadvantage in this conversation as she knew that her best friend, Adrienne spoke the language fluently. She would normally have repeated the girl's name back with a 'nice to meet you', but after hearing Adrienne's perfect pronunciation, Tora didn't want to butcher the name with her British accent. If this girl was not new to Hogwarts, and if Adrienne's guess was right, then this girl was visiting from Beauxbatons. Though if this girl was from that French school, it meant that she must be here for that Academic Tournament thing from the paper. Either that or for some other random academic purpose; Tora seriously doubted the second option. This piqued Tora's curiosity. If the students from Beauxbatons had been chosen, then who were the students from Hogwarts? What year were they in? Would she know them? Was she in any of their classes? Were any of them from her House? She would have asked Zéline, but she didn't think that the French girl would know, so she stayed silent, and gave a friendly smile. |
Text Cut: Joao The Ministry, yes, that was expected. The best wizarding jobs were those under the ministry of magic. She nodded when he said he got a new flat in Tottenham too. Nothing really to add to that. It was good he was establishing his life after college and settling down. Seemed like he was committing to something, and this was a new and odd Joao to her. "I know. I don't need help with anything, though, not just with study. I'm studying the Wizarding relations and Diplomacy, anyways. Not muggle politics." She pointed this out quickly, "But thank you for offering." It was said rather automatically, the chocolate box in front of her (now half-full only) got a little nudge with her finger. Roommate talk. Right. "He's okay. We're getting along slowly, I'm learning how to compromise and find some sort of meeting points among all our differences. It's what we should muster in our Psychology coursework, so it's practically studying. He's helped me with something recently, too, so I'm not so peeved out by him anymore." Nodnodnod. She re-crossed her legs and looked over at Daichi, making sure he didn't leave yet, and pretended that she didn't hear what he'd just said. Because if she pretended that she did hear him, angry steam was going to go out her ears and she'd just up and leave him with his judgmental attitude. "Plans for Christmas?" She wasn't really interested in anything other than his well-being, so. |
Beau wandered about Hogsmeade unsure of where to go. He had lost track of all the other Beauxbatons students when they had all gone their separate ways. He was fine when they all dispersed but companionship would have been nice, friends were nice. The Three Broomsticks. Hmm. Entering the pub he said, "Ze Three Broomsticks..." had a nice name to it, made him wonder if the owner was in quidditch at one time. He looked around at the other people in there... Maybe there were students from Hogwarts in here. |
Text Cut: Louisa João shrugged. His offer was up if she wanted help. He noticed it was an automatic reply--if he didn't know better, he would think she didn't want to meet him--but he didn't say anything. Instead, he studied the café and tried to find whether something had changed. It still felt the same. He looked into her eyes while she explained her roommate. So it was still a male. He didn't let anything show on his face, but he was annoyed by it for some reason. "I'm glad," he said shortly. What else could he say? "Nothing special for now... I haven't talked to Aspen about it yet. You, family?" |
Quote:
Oooh, right. He wasn't alone in Christmas, mutual plans. Sounded serious and good. Louisa nodded understandingly, "Yep. Family, and possibly some friends the next day or something." She didn't plan that far ahead yet. "I'm taking this break one adventure at a time. This week, I'm all about re-visiting the old places." Next week she wanted to go to her flat and check up on Giuseppe and the cats. The next one - well, who knew. "Welp. It's been great meeting and catching up with you. Thanks for your time. Let's keep in touch." All the polite things were said in one breath as she collected her bag and started getting her coat off the chair's back. "I promised Daichi I'd go on a walk with him, so.." She gave him a small but genuine smile. |
And zis vas another restaurant type thing, yes? Vilhelm walked inside. It vas much varmer than outside, and Vilhelm considered taking off his furs, but then promptly dispelled the idea. He valked around, casually looking at what seemed like a hoard of Hogwartz students. And maybe a Beauxbatonz one over zhere? |
we see you beauxbatons and durmstrang boys. People watching, honestly one of her favorite past times, favorite things to.do like ever, mainly cause people did the craziest things when they didnt know they were being watched. She glanced over at the entrance every now and again as some other students she know walked in, some adults too. She stayed at her table and had a spoon in her glass and was stirring her pumpkin juice consistently, watching, waiting, for something, anything to happen. Then she saw a guy come in, one obviously a student, but she didnt recognize him, in the slightest. He was saying something to himself and Ariana couldnt well hear what he was saying she heard the accent and well, no one talked like that at hogwarts in a normal basis, not that she knew of anyway. With her intrest peaked she kept her gaze about the room she made sure to keep a watch on him. She was people watching you know she was watching everyone. Even you McIntyre and Potter. |
Quote:
Hmm.. so she didn't know. Guess her and Nash had some things to talk about then. He tilted his head smiling softly at her, which turned into a laughter. "Sure, I can always get some more from little Tobes. The happiest second year in our house." He beamed.. until he heard the sadness about the Tay's twin. "Aw, I'm sorry to hear that." He gave her a nice hug before she got too upset. Maybe it was too painful to continue talking about it. "So, what are you doing for the break? Any plans?" |
We see you see us... *eyes* Quote:
"Vhat do you vant?" he said a little rudely, then rephrased it. "Um... do you vant something? |
hello! shes rude.... sorreh. Quote:
Scuse us?! She narrowed her eyes and stoped stirring her drink,"excuse me?" she said back to him just as.if not more rudely then the first time he phrased his words, "s'not be rude, kay?" she said again with a raised brow. Really dont be rude if you want answers, kid especially answers from us. |

"I have been to Egypt, yes. It's very... dry." Obvious observation. It wasn't his favorite place to be, but it was an interesting vacation. Back to Greece, though. Piers got comfortable in his chair. "I spent most of my time in Athens, since that's where my school was. It's a great city - very big - if you like that sort of thing, being in the middle of all the action, I suppose. Up north is more of the country, which is beautiful, but I was more a fan of the oceanside. The islands are my favorite." The whole place was amazing, but he had his favorite spots. He didn't know if he would ever go back... at least not anytime soon. But it had been a good several years while it lasted. |

...were those... closing words? He looked at her attentively. His face was composed carefully--he would only let his guards down around Aspen--but he wanted to stare at her with this silly and surprised expression. It hadn't even been freakin' 30 minutes and she wanted to go? He actually couldn't believe it! He'd apparated all the way from Tottenham VS. she wanted to get drunk and was bidding farewell after half an hour. She valued their friendship so much. "Sure," he said and smiled back. He thought he did a good job with 'genuineness' of his smile, but eyes were the key and he couldn't perfect his smile that much yet. "I thank you for your time. We should totally meet like this again." Particularly like this. Goodness! The change she'd been through was incredible, and hurt him deeply. "Goodbye, then." He got up. He wasn't even going to hug her. He was just going to act like he'd forgotten, so he headed towards the counter without a pause, fishing his wallet in the process. Daichi. He was apparently a more important chap than João. |

Anyone. It had been over a year since Adeline had been to Hogsmeade and near Hogwarts in general. The sixteen year old missed this place so much but her not being there are the castle and attending classes was for a very good reason that she could not tell anyone about, yes it was top secret but she wasn't ready to tell anyone yet. |
With her new purchase wrapped neatly around her neck, Schuyler made her way on in to the Three Broomsticks with Aidan. It was nice to put the scarf to use outside in the cold, but she had to admit that it was also nice walking into the warmth inside the pub. And it was pretty crowded in here. Must have been a sort of hot spot. Good to know. The Gryffindor weaved around a few people who were on their way out, and she quickly spotted a smaller, open table. "There's one." And with a little hustle to her step so that no one else snagged the table, Schuyler headed on over to it. There. Claimed. She shrugged off her coat and unwrapped her scarf yet again before setting them both on the back of her chair. Now she took her seat. The girl glanced around and spotted a few servers, as well as a bar where you could order. Well, if a server didn't come around soon, they could get their coffees on their own. She turned back to Aidan. "So, no vote for a ball, for you? Way to be a killjoy," she joked. Despite the fact that boys didn't share quite the same amusement in getting all dolled up and such, most guys did like the idea of spending time with girls and dates and all. |
Quote:
Mummies were soooooo cooooooolllll. She leaned her elbow on the table and listened intently as he spoke about Greece. It wasn't even that it was him and his awesome facial hair talking, it was just what he was talking about. Thinking of beautiful places made her so happy. "It sounds amazing. Lots of history there too. I like history." And pretty places and oceans. "Do you think you'll go back some day?" She was already making plans to go there herself. |
SPOILER!!: amadshade and aaetha Zéline was slightly taken aback by the girl's French accent and raised her eyebrows as she observed the younger girl go on and on about her time in France. Aix-en-Provence. "Mmmm. Ah, oui, I attend Beauxbatons." The fifth year confirmed proudly whilst sitting perfectly straight and looking around to watch some other people around them. All Hogwarts students, probably. She gave the silent girl a almost suspicious look before turning back to the one who was talking. "Mmm. Nice to meet you too." Zéline replied politely, about to look away again. Wait, Adrienne? She looked back at the girl after realising what she was called. "Do you 'ave Frrench backgrround?" She asked, looking a tad bit more curious. |
Quote:
But he was not a killjoy. A ball didn't sound very joyful. More like supervised half-fun times. "Speaking of which, the only way to get your food in here is to go up to the bar. Takes forever otherwise. You really want coffee?" And, of course, he'll get it for her. Hence why he hadn't taken a seat yet. |
Quote:
Yes, so her assumption had been right. And it was very chivalrous of him to go up to the bar for them. "Yes, please. With cream and sugar. |
Quote:
"Walking faster!" She did try, though his legs were longer than hers and it would be more productive for him to walk faster and carry her. Right? Maybe next time. Cat bounced when they quickly reached the Three Broomsticks and nudged the door open. "Look, there's plently of tables free. We don't have to sit with anyone else." Nope. She didn't want to do that anyway. This was meant to be a Marcus!Caterina date, not a Marcus!Caterina!other!people date. "Let's sit over heeerreeee." She decided, trying to steer him in her chosen direction. |
Quote:
"What do you want from the menu? I'll go place our orders, and I'll get you a drink. Butterbeer?" Obviously butterbeer. It was Mo's favorite... who didn't like butterbeer? Crazy people. That was who. "So Valentine's Day is coming up soon. I should plan something special... it's my turn again, right?" He reached across the table to take her hand. "That gives me time to write a whole book of cheesy things." |
Quote:
She grabbed up a menu and looked it over thoughtfully. "Want to share soup and sandwhiches with me?" Soup sounded good, with all the COLD and she was HUNGRY, she just didn't want to tax out his pockets. They could share, yes? "I want Butterbeer." Nod. "And kisses and snuggles but those aren't on the menu." She griiinnnneeed at him over the page. GRIN. See that there? That was smart. "Is it your turn? We're not doing a very good job with turns, are we?" Hmmm. "I like cheese and books and you and books made by you." But they'd mostly already established that. |
Timeline: After the first tasks (anyone just come and talk to her) Karina needed to unwind after the very interesting task and so visited the Three Broomsticks, the pub that she had not yet had the chance to truly visit. She moved over to an empty table and sat down, wondering if she had to go order up at the bar or if a waitperson would come ask her for her order. Hmmm. She would just wait for now. In a little while she would go up and order if no one came around. Now though, she just sat back and relived the task she completed, looking through her memories to find things she could have done better, things to improve on, and thinking in general about what challenges lay ahead. |
Anyone can still join in :) Quote:
"Karina,'' Mischa said. She probably did not want company anyway. Which would be fine with him. |
Quote:
Also with cream and sugar because if Schuyler liked it like that, it probably tasted good like that. And so, after a nod at her order, Aidan went up to the bar, returning a few minutes later with the coffees. He placed Schuyler's mug on the table in front of her, then slid into the seat across. "So," back to the conversation, "You want a ball to see me dressed up?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows. He knew that's not what she meant, but... Smirk. |
Quote:
And there Aidan went, all dutifully. Look at him ordering those drinks like a professional. And carrying them back just as well. Schuyler smiled when he placed both his hot chocolate and her cream and sugared coffee onto the table. "Thank you, Aidan. How much was it?" Because it was very nice of him to go over and get them, she wasn't going to not pay for it either. She stirred her coffee with her spoon and decided not to take a sip quite yet. It looked pretty hot. Hot enough to burn her tongue, and that was an annoying sensation later on. Burnt tongues. Regardless.. Was that a smirk on that Ravenclaw face of his? Yes. And Schuyler grinned when it surfaced. In fact, it slightly resembled the one he'd been showing off at the Halloween party. "Yes. As a matter of fact," she told him. "But, that's not the only reason," she added with more of a smirk on her lips now. She couldn't let things go to his head, you know. Just looking out for him, of course. "So. If your date had to be a professor, who would you want to go with?" Getting impatient with her coffee, she leaned forward and tried blowing on it a little. Blow and stir. Coooool down. |
As Karina had strategically sat with her back against the wall and her eyes towards the door, she noticed immediately when Cha walked in. She made a spectacular effort in not looking at him for more than a moment because no matter how well they worked together in the task, they were still enemies off field. That didn't stop her secretly wishing he would come over to talk to her. The Scandinavian girl looked up suddenly when her fellow Durmstranger said "No." Mischa had seemingly heard her inner thoughts and answered aloud as this was the type of response she would normally get from him. She quickly concentrated on how she would like to talk to him about the task; just in case he really was skilled in Occulmency (though she doubted it.) Then he was walking over toward where she was sitting. ...? He must be headed towards the empty table a couple away, why would he come sit with her? Karina's eyes widened slightly, as she stared down at her plate and not at Cha obviously coming towards her table. She resisted the urge to look up as he said her name. "Cha," she said, playing it safe with her standard response. There might have been the smallest smile there, but it could be easily mistaken for some other expression; after all, why would Karina Wozniacki smile at Mischa Moller |
He could still just go sit at the empty table which was right next to him. Just greeting Karina by just saying her name was usual for him since they had their rivalry going. But something was keeping his feet from moving and instead he found himself asking "Do you mind if I join you?'' Mischa himself was quite surprised but he masked it by keeping his face neutral. Also exactly why was Karina staring at her plate? He could not one bit see her face. But then why would he want to see her face? He knew how incredibly pretty... What was he thinking? Karina obviously disliked him and he felt the same towards her. Or did he? |
Cha Still staring at her plate, Karina took a moment to compose herself before she looked up at her task partner. Yes, I would love it if you joined me." she thought, but didn't say. Instead she just motioned to the chair, implying that he could sit while hopefully not giving away that she wanted him to. Wait. That was a bit ridiculous, why would she want him to? She had to have some excuse other than just "I wanted to talk" ready if he asked... the task! Picking up on her earlier thoughts, she decided that she wanted to talk about the task and that was the only reason why she wanted him to sit with her. The only reason. "So," she started after a moment of silence where she caught herself staring. She started again, "So, how did you like the task? Now that it's all over and done with?" Best to start with something on neutral ground because, for some reason, Karina didn't want to fight with Mischa. Or even be particularly unfriendly. But by no means could she be anything more than friendly. No, that was not allowed under any circumstances. |
Finally Karina decided to look up. Mischa thought she looked beautiful today. "But didn't she always look beautiful?'' some part of his brain asked. "You just never noticed.'' Yes. That was true. He had never paid much attention to her despite her being his best friend's girlfriend. Thinking about Strom brought Mischa back to his senses. He could not no matter what be thinking of Karina like this. He pulled out the chair farthest from his school mate and sat. He avoided looking at her. For the first time for as long as he could remember, he was lost for words. What was happening to him? But then he finally met her eyes when she spoke. "Looking back at it I think it vas very simple. Ve just over thought.'' But they had atleast managed to complete the task. "Hov did you find it?'' Mischa suddenly found himself hoping that he would be partnered with Karina again. But a part of him doubted it. |
It took him quite a while to sit, and when he finally did, she was half disappointed that he sat so far away. But not really, he needed to keep his distance; it wasn't like they were friends or anything. Even though they weren't friends, she found herself leaning in a bit to talk to him (just so she could hear him better of course). Her dark red hair fell over her shoulder and she flicked it back annoyed, focusing on the movement more than necessary so she would have time to think of something intelligent to say. She felt the need to impress her boyfriend's best friend which could get dangerous very quickly. But now to focus on the question. "I guess that is true," she said, finding herself agreeing more and more with Cha. "Though I also think that our task was more shrouded in mystery than the other tasks were. But that's just my opinion." she felt the need to say something Cha might not agree with, if only to save face. Though she did actually think that the purpose of their task was less clear than the others, it was quite probable that the others and felt the same about their own tasks. |
Sitting so far away from Karina did nothing to help Mischa. He found that his eyes kept wanting to look at her. Though at times he did succeed in moving his stare at something else he always flicked a few glances her back her way. He liked the way her hair kept falling forward and when she attempted to brush it back he wanted to tell her to leave it. But that would be wrong coming from him. Yes it would be. Best keep quiet. Yes. Their task did seem puzzling at first. "Ve managed to complete it though.'' Though Mischa was not satisfied with being in second placed he was satisfied they had completed the task. He did not think he could face his school mates and Headmaster if they had left it incomplete. "I am sure vou are in anticipation of the second round,'' Mischa added looking towards the bar rather than at Karina. |
Karina normally would look about herself, keeping watch for anything suspicious, but she felt herself relax as she started talking with Mischa. She was still facing the majority of the room of course, so she could see if anyone else approached, but she was paying less attention to her surroundings and more attention to the boy in front of her than usual. "Yes, at least we managed to complete it," she agreed with a grim smile. It would certainly have been awful if they had failed. Not only would she have to explain to her fellow schoolmates and Headmaster, but she would feel like she had failed the honor of being chosen for this competition. She sighed painfully, just thinking about the shame made her hurt somehow. It was more likely just thinking about the next competition though. She gave another nod in agreement though she didn't know if Mischa caught it as he seemed to be looking all around The Three Broomsticks. The prospect of the next task might be better if she knew she would be partnered with her boyfriend.... or, more and more preferably, his best friend. Cha was a really good task partner, and Karina found herself regarding the figure across the table with a hint of praise in her navy eyes. He was smart, and could definitely keep his cool under pressure. Not only that, but he knew when to get things done and when not to dawdle. She hoped they would be partnered again later in the competition; not only because he would be a good ally, but because she didn't have to worry about anything around him and could focus on the task at hand. She found herself thinking more and more about Mischa lately, something Karina told herself was just an after effect of being paired in the first task. Somewhere, the Swede knew this wasn't entirely true but for the sake of the competition, no need for dramatics here, and her relationships of all types, she had convinced herself otherwise. |
Why could he not stop looking at the girl in front of him? Over the years she had been nothing to him but a rival and his best friend's girlfriend. That was the only way she was related to him. Misha never paid any heed to her when she and Strom were around him. And yet now here he was giving her more attention than usual. He shook his head. This had to be happening due to their partnering for that task. Right about then a thought occurred to Mischa. "Vou are not waiting on Strom, are vou?'' Why was there a sudden pang of...jealousy rippling through him? He shifted uncomfortably. What was happening to him? Petty emotions never bothered him and certainly not who Karina was meeting with. This was all bothering Mischa now and he was unsure what to do about it. |
Ethan Minerva walked into the Three Broomsticks. It has been awhile since she had been in here actually. She had been going to Paddiefoot's with Ethan instead, but it was nice to be in the Broomsticks. Looking around it had seemed she beat him there, no biggie. She looked around noticing a few people and smiling as she walked over to an empty table in the corner. Leaning she fixed her boot, not usually the type of shoes she would have worn for the walk from the castle to Hogsmeade, but today was special. Well she was trying to make it as special as she could. Last years Valentines Day had horrible memories attached to it, so this year it had to be happy. Three years of dating was special and today was just going to be happy. No Tillstorm, no pathways, no she was not going to let this year have a bad taste, because of last year. Sitting down she took her hand through her hair making sure it was in place and fixed her sweater dress. She really wanted to look nice today for him. Setting down her bag that she had brought with her, Min searched the area. Seeing some of the foreign students she gave them a friendly smile, but really just kept to herself. Today she wasn't being social Prefect, no today she was being girlfriend only. |

"No," the word wasn't an exclamation per se, but it was a strong point. She smiled nervously, a bit surprised at her own tone. "Ahhh, no. I think he's resting somewhere right now. No, I'm just here to be here." she didn't feel like talking about Ström right now, it made her feel a touch uncomfortable and maybe a bit unsure. Though why she would be feeling unsure, uncomfortable and the works when talking about her own boyfriend, she didn't understand. Especially when she was talking to his best friend. "Have you had the butterbeer yet?" she asked suddenly changing the subject away from Ström and uncertainty. She had yet to try the famed drink, maybe they could order one. Er... two. |
A distraction arrived in the form of a Hogwarts girl Mischa recognised from the Grandstands. He saw her smile in their direction and returned a nod. Those few seconds were a relief for him. Why the sudden jealousy? All because he thought Strom was probably on his was to meet Karina? A thought now unexpectedly flashed into his head. Could it be? "No,'' he answered instantly. He was not attracted to Karina. But Mischa seemed to be contradicting himself for upon hearing that Karina was not here to meet Strom he felt much relaxed and calm. Good. "Or probably preparing vor the next task,'' the Durmstrang student replied. He was sure Strom was just as determined as they were to do better. Mischa noted the speed at which Karina changed the subject. It did not bother him. "No I haff not.'' He wasn't in the mood for food or drink at the moment. All he wanted to clear his head and get his emotions in check. But he did know how to act like a gentleman. "I vill get vone for you.'' |
Preparing for the next task? She should probably be doing that as well! But she hadn't even gotten settled in yet with Hogwarts and the Gryffindors. It's too bad Mischa was staying with the Ravenclaws instead of with Karina and the... Lions, were they called? Anyway, they must do better in the next task. Second place was just not good enough; they needed to overtake Hogwarts and leave Beauxbatons in the dust behind them. "Mmmm," was all she really said in regards to her boyfriend. However, on the topic of Mischa getting her a butterbeer? Well.... maybe. She gave a small smile, "As long as you don't poison it," she said, teasing a little and for once the teasing wasn't mean. "Thank you," the Scandinavian added afterwards, Cha could be really...sweet sometimes. Whoa. No, these thoughts were not good. Karina needed to focus on something else..."You don't want one though?" she asked quickly after to avoid any thoughts of Mischa's good characteristics. |

However, he might fancy her quite a bit and want to do something nice for her, even if it was something as small as buying her coffee. "Not enough to matter," he decided. He's got this one. She just bought herself a scarf, he could afford to buy her a coffee. 'Yes'. Another unexpected answer. Aidan was expecting an 'of course not' and couldn't hide the slight blush that appeared. "Okay, so what are the other reasons? Convince me I'd want to go." Because it sounded like a terribly girly wish so far. Though Schuyler dressing up was something he wouldn't mind seeing. "Romanos," he answered after a moment's thought and consideration of the Hogwarts female professors. "That's an odd question. I'm going to have to ask it back at you," he said, eyes on her and her attempt to cool off her drink. |
Schuyler waited as Aidan sort of froze for a moment. Maybe he had paid for the coffee without really even knowing how much it was. Figuring that she would just round it off to a general amount that she usually paid for a coffee, she moved to retreive her wallet from her bag. Only then Aidan answered with that. That it wasn't 'enough to matter.' Schuyler looked back at him again, and then the smile surfaced. That was sweet, Aidan. "Thank you." The blush that crossed his face didn't escape her notice. But she let it pass without a word, and instead focused on these 'other reasons' that he was looking for. There were plenty of reasons to want a ball or a dance or something festive like that. "Okay," she said, accepting the challenge to convince him. "First, dressing up all fancy, and seeing everyone else all dressed up. That's a given. And then there's the food, like you said. Dancing - that's a big one." Because Schuyler loved to dance. And even if you didn't like to dance, there was something fun about being yanked onto the dance floor to at least sway a little bit. "It's just a special occasion, something different. And then, last but not least, finding a date." She grinned because that was surely what students got the most hung up on. That's what would be the topic buzzing throughout the hallways: dates. "So, are you convinced?" Head tilt. Those were some appealing incentives to go, according to her. Romanos. She nodded in agreement. Really, most of Hogwarts' staff were quite good-looking. Not to mention the other students. As for her, she took a moment to mull it over. Hmmmmm. "Botros." She gave a smile. |
Anyone *eyes for Karina and Mischa* Bronislava had slipped in unnoticed after the first event of the competition had ended, seeking to soothe her grave disappointment with a bite to eat before turning in for the night. She kept to the shadows for now, not wanting to be confronted by any gloating Hogwartians after her school's dismal performance. The girl was slightly edgy but she wondered if her hunger had contributed to that feeling. So eating was a necessity for now. The Durmstrang girl sat in a dark corner booth, glancing at a menu but also keeping her eyes on her surroundings. Observation was always key and she would not be taken off guard. Not that there seemed to be much going on here other than a few couples getting a little cozy. And one of those 'couples' did catch her off guard, to be honest. Karina and Mischa. Bronislava sat a little ways away from them, her brown eyes fixated on them curiously. It didn't seem that they had seen her yet and she took advantage of that fact to continue her observation. Something about their interaction struck her as odd. They certainly weren't the best of friends, quite the opposite actually. Though the thought that they were just discussing the task that they teamed up for crossed her mind, she wasn't so sure that was it. She would wait and watch a bit longer perhaps before she went over to join them or unless she was noticed first. |

As he stepped inside, the 19 year old gave a cursory glance around, wondering if she had beat him here this time. He chuckled to himself thinking about the first time he had visited the Three Broomsticks, then spotted Minerva not far away. His smile growing as he approached, he stopped in front of her, green eyes taking in her appearance. "You look breathtaking," he grinned, then took her hand in his, lifting her hand and pressing his lips to the back of it. Releasing her hand from his grasp, he took the seat opposite her and set his bag on the floor next to him. "So.. Happy Valentine's Day.. and three years.." |
Mischa could tell Karina did not want to speak of Strom. Why? She probably was not like typical girls who loved to speak every detail about their boyfriends but the avoidance of speaking about hers? It was surprising. Still Mischa continued to feel a little more relieved and even somewhat...happy? that she did not. Apparently he could not keep this faint happiness as he did something he rarely did. He smiled at Karina's joke. Well it was not a big one but his lips did curl upwards. "Nov vhy vould I do that?'' he asked. No. He would never harm this pretty girl. "Maybe I vill,'' Mischa added. He pushed back his chair and walked towards the counter. |

Botros? He wasn't expecting that as an answer. Actually, he was expecting Fuller, who seemed to be popular among his female classmates. Again, Aidan chuckled. "Why Botros?" In a way, he was glad she picked Botros, though he wasn't sure why. He just felt relieved. |
SPOILER!!: Ethan Minerva was playing with her bracelet and being fidgety, not that she had been waiting long or bored, just excited to see Ethan again, excited that they had now been together three years. Three years it didn't seem that long, but at the same time they had been through so much together already. He had dealt with so much because of her. She let her mind wonder to different things as she waited, but something caught her eye and she looked up just in time to hear his voice. A blush went through her cheeks at his words. "Well I wanted to try to look nice since it is a special day." She beamed up at him. She bit her lip as she watched him take her hand and kiss it. Her heart skipped just as it always did. "You look pretty amazing yourself." She wanted nothing more to stand and give him a kiss, but she would be patient there was plenty of time for that. Another smile crossed her at his words, "You've dealt with me for three years, someone should really give you a medal." She couldn't help but chuckle as she watched him sit across from her. Taking his hand once he was sitting she wasn't ready to let go yet. Nope she would hold his hand for awhile longer. "Happy Valentines Day, I love you." It was so nice that it had fallen on a Saturday this year and that it was a Hogsmeade weekend. How great was that! Finally releasing his hand she leaned to the bag that was at her feet. "I did get you a few things, kind of like your birthday they are a bit silly or dorky, so sorry." She thought they were cute, but to a guy they might not, but she figured Ethan would at least appreciate the thoughts. She picked up the red bag and handed it over the table. |

Schuyler crinkled her nose in disapproval. But Aidan went on to explain why exactly he disagreed with the majority of her GOOD reasons. Food, of course. All boys loved food. But apparently all the other things weren't up to snuff for the Ravenclaw. She gave him an unimpressed look, although there was a smile there nonetheless. "Well, I can see why you're not a Gryffindor." Maybe asking someone to a dance was a little stressful because it had the possibility to not go as you would like it to. But she thought the hope of the person saying 'yes' would outweigh the fear of that person saying 'no.' She gave a sigh. "Ah well. I guess you're not the first boy to dislike dances and fancy attire." But she held true to her belief that if they Hogwarts did host a ball, Aidan would end up having fun even in spite of himself. Why Botros? "He seems very gentlemanly and he's so cute. Like, in an old man way." She wasn't actually romantically attracted to him. Hah. "But most of all, he probably knows some really good dances. Like, older dances, you know?" And she would want to learn those from him. He was a good professor, so he'd most likely be a skilled teacher in other areas. |
Cha and Broni Karina smiled, glad that Cha had taken her teasing as it really was- a joke. That comment really could have gone downhill, but she had just said it without thinking. When Mischa went up to get the drinks, Karina didn't take the opportunity to look around her suspiciously like she normally would. Instead, she was distracted by the male figure heading up towards the counter. She was distracted until she noticed she was distracted and nervously looked away, darting her eyes around the room to notice.... Broni. How long had she been there? Strange that Karina hadn't noticed her fellow Durmstranger, and stranger still that Bronislava hadn't come over to say hello. Hmmm. The sight of her best friend reminded her of her other friends namely....her boyfriend. Ugh, she didn't want to think about him right now! Although she had noticed Bronislava, that didn't mean that she had to invite her friend over. She knew that she would eventually, but Karina still wanted to talk to Mischa. Just as friends of course, but still... it was nice to talk. Which was another point: Karina was now fluently referring to Mischa as her 'friend'. Things had definitely changed between them. Even with Bronislava watching, Karina's face softened into a smile when Cha returned toting two butterbeers. (She had only allowed this smile to happen because she was facing away from Broni) "One for me, and one for you," she laughed before motioning for him to sit back down. She didn't want to end their butterbeer time, but she had to mention Certain Others in the room. "Did you see?" she asked, leaning in slightly after taking a long sip of butterbeer. Not bad. A bit too sweet for Karina's taste, but overall she liked it. She didn't want to mention any names, and only hoped Mischa would guess at what she was speaking about: Broni was a couple tables over and watching. |
Mischa was very distracted on his way to the bar. He never even bothered to respond to jokes. Stupid things. Yet that had just changed and also to add to the confusion he had smiled. Kind of but it still was a smile. He was much surprised to find himself at the bar. With everything going on his head he had completely forgotten why he was there. Butterbeer. Yes. Mischa paid for his purchases and returned to the table. There was even something more to add to his odd behaviour and feelings. He was glad to be back in Karina's company even though he had only been away for minutes. What's this? This was unusual but it seemed Mischa was enjoying Karina's company. He wanted to chat with her. Get to know this girl he had ignored for so many years. Mischa actually found his lips curling upwards again when Karina laughed. She had a beautiful laugh. He didn't think he ever heard it before but then he never actually given her his attention. Did he see? See what? Instantly, the Durmstrang student began to casually wander around the Three Broomsticks. His eyes found a very familiar face. Broni. She wasn't watching him and Karina but he was sure she had already seen them. How had he not noticed her before? "Because you were busy noticing Karina,'' a voice said in his head. With a frown and without realising it, Mischa drew out a chair that was closer to Karina. "I haff,'' he said with a nod. He looked at Karina. Would she invite Broni over? Broni was her best friend after all. |
