Stepping into the maze, Adi looked around as he prodded the wall of Maize. "I doubt it,'' he replied. "Maybe we could show them how it's done. We could take a short cut. You know, blast or cut our way through using magic.'' He winked. He was kidding but it would be really cool if they could time themselves to see how long it took them to get out. Besides, he was guessing he and Caleb did not know much magic. |

But that actually made no sense because why would anyone say they were a Hufflepuff? Hmm. At the boy's words however, Benzi's eyes widened in understanding. "Ohhh," he nodded, and smiled back. Why hadn't he just SAID so?! "So, wait, you're saying I'm clever but you're, er, loyal? And if Giffridom's are brave and you guys are normal does that mean the rest of us aren't?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. But Benzi was pleased. He was in the smart people house! That meant he was smart too. Oh OH OH that meant he was in Mummy's house, there was no way she hasn't been in the House of the Super Brainy! Awesome. |
Quote:
Wait. Did he really sound like that? "I don't mean you aren't normal." He was an inch away from flailing. What he hated most was being misunderstood. "I'm just saying Hufflepuffs are normal humans too. You asked what it is?" Remember? Really, was he allowed to leave now? He never knew how to end a conversation. He might have to ask Cassia about it. |
Quote:
"Do you know anything about this maze? Like does it work towards the middle or the other side?" she asked. Because if she knew it, she can work it out using tricks... unless they were roughing it like real Gryffindors. |

Stan grinned a little as he watched the cat stalk off. OKAY. So.. he was probably just a tiny bit hurt that Sharky didn't even LOOK at him but maybe she would grow to like him? He wasn't going to give up that easily, sorry. "Oh, I'm not heartbroken, Caterina. She'll end up liking me eventually, you'll see." Stan said, turning to look at Cat again. Heh. Always optimistic, this boy was. Stan furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. She asked him to do the maze with her but.. she wanted to do it with someone else? Why ask him in the first place then? "Well.. it's okay if you want to do it with someone else." He said, with a light shrug. He didn't mind, really. |
Quote:
She raised an eyebrow in response to his eyebrows thing, "Why... do I want to do it with someone else? I MEAN someone ELSE as opposed to going by myself. Another person, aka you." Yeaaaah. YOU. Boy. Gosh. |

Work towards the middle or end up on the other side. "Logistically I think it works towards the other side." He said with a nod. "But we can try and make our way towards the middle and see what happens from there. Actually, if we try to get to the middle, there might be a straight pathway from there that then leads to the exit. Let's try the middle first, yeah?" Both of their ideas could be put to use at the same time. |
Taaaag SPOILER!!: Team ronmione;11433288 "Great! We are going to tough it" she said. They were such lions, which was so cool. Also, touching the wall wil get Sarah sneezy from the dust. Sarah nodded, "Maybe there is a portkey in the middle the pops us out of the maze!" she said with a grin, "although that would ruin the fun as the actual fun is doing the maze." "Forward MARCH" she said and she began to march just for the fun of it. They go to the first T junction, "lets take turns giving directions. We will alternate at each intersection as to who gives the directions". It may not be helpful, but at least it is fair. "I will go first, I say we take a right, as right is right" she said. "so.." she said, they might as well talk as they go. "what subjects are you doing for OWLS?" |
Quote:
"UMMMM...I dunno. Did we pass this broken piece of maize before?" he asked, pointing to a piece of the maize wall that had snapped off and was hanging off the edge of the maze. Come on, this couldn't be THAT hard! "You have a twin TOO?" he asked, his mouth dropping open in awe. COOOOL! He wondered how many twins there were in the school, and in his year. "Boy or girl? Please say not identical, the last thing I need is to say hi to your twin in the hall and embarrass myself," he chuckled. Quote:
"So I guess we're competing for the knowledge that we succeeded and did a good job. How BORING," he joked as they walked along. "So, you excited for classes?" he asked with a grin. |

"It would probably take us hours to find our way out,'' Adi told Caleb happily. He won't mind getting lost. All the more challenging it would be to get out! Anyway, he could take the time to know the young Snake. "So, Caleb, any of your family members studied at Hogwarts?'' Adi soon came to a fork. He looked i both directions, pondering which side to take. He decided to let his new friend make the choice. "Which side should we go?'' They could always double back when they came to a dead end. |
SPOILER!!: twins galore! "I get it," she nodded and thought. Honestly, she thought that any house would be great and that she could make it 'home' there, but she also couldn't be happier with the house she was in. Forrest was in it and Elodie was in it and it couldn't be better! "Well ... you ARE with her, so that's great. I wanted to be with Dee, too, but that didn't happen." So lucky Caleb and Sophie. Broken piece? What broken piec- ohhh. That one. "I'm not sure, I forgot to pay attention to the maze bits." Pause. "What if we can't get ouuuuut?" Actually, that would just mean more time for adventures and the like and that wouldn't be TOO bad. But food. She needed it. Merlin, they'd better get out! "I think we should go that way," she decided and pointed in a random direction. Depending on how big the maze actually was, they were bound to get out eventually, no matter where they went. Distracted again. "I dooooo!" Bristol enthused and grinned. "Isn't it the BEST?" They could spend so much time together and play and go adventures and it was just great. "Girl. Her name's Dee and nope, we're not identical. She dyed her hair with streaks of blue, anyway." Just streaks at the moment, but she knew that her twin wanted it ALL blue when she was older. |
Quote:
... "Okay. Let's do it." Stan winked at her before he started to walk towards the maze. "So.. Cat. Tell me something interesting about yourself." They could just talk while walking, right? Riiight. |
For Abbi/Tali! After settling in to his new house He beamed up at the maze before sitting down to catch his breath, if you wanted to explore you needed to breathe! Everything was more fun at Hogwarts! The only other maze he'd ever been to was one back in Ireland, but that one had been tiny compared to how big this one seemed. |
SPOILER!!: Sarah! "Yeah, we are!" Tag spoke excitedly as he punched the air. A portkey. Maybe that would be a sort of last minute rescue type of thing. "Maybe there is one, if things become unbearable. Like, if some creature finds their way into the maze a portkey shows up. I don't think the school wants more accidents." Haha. Sarah was marching and Tag watched her, smiling, as she went forward like a soldier. He, though, opted to take a normal formation of walking. "Yeah, I take the next turn." And so, coming upon a T intersection Tag waited on Sarah whom decided that they would take a turn to the right. "Right is always right. No doubt about it." Tag said with a small smile. Now, Sarah was asking him about OWLS, those dreaded owls. He hadn't put too much thought into it, at least, not looking into the textbooks at the moment. For now he was just trying to figure out which ones he'd like to do. "I think I'm gonna go for the subjects I seem to have a good grasp on. I'd go for an easy route and try to not fail." He said with a shudder. "Well, I think for one muggle studies, maybe care of magical creatures, ancient runes, and I really like Divination." Other classes he was... not so sure of. "What classes are you thinking about?" Tag asked Sarah in return as they came to a four way stop after their previous right turn. Stopping for a second Tag went straight ahead. |
SPOILER!!: our Irish boy " Other classes he was... not so sure of. "What classes are you thinking about?" Tag asked Sarah in return as they came to a four way Sarah smiled at his punch in the air, he would get along with her brothers well. "Good point. I think in the wizarding world, mazes can only exist for underaged wizarding folk, as once people come of age they might disapparate out of the maze when they feel fustrated and give up. Unless they are a true lion and they march on ahead" So he was not marching? It was okay with her... mind you, maybe it was time for skipping- nah you could only skip in spring as they air was perfect for it and in summer. She would stick to marching now. "I feel bad for people whose left hand is there wand hand. Minority of the population, they should just embrace their differences." she said. Totally random, but not as random as potatoes (the topic that she thought should always come up when talking to an Irishman. It went with their accent. Sarah listened to what he was saying, "I guess that is the safest route. I lack the patience for DDivinition, being more of an Intellectual, and I found it hard to grasp Ancient Runes, with the Norse gods story, so I am thinking of dropping them. I am going to Professor Bentley for my Career Advice soon, so hopeful then I will narrow down my options for the future. I think I am definately going to keep Muggle Studies as well, as my parents raised us to be comfortable in both the muggle society and the wizarding one. Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology I will probably keep anyway as my family lives on a farm so I am exposed to both those subjects. Like in the summer I delivered a calf, using what I learnt in Care of Magical creatures." She was not nearly sorted into Ravenclaw for nothing. As she talked she did not notice that it was an intersection coming up until Tag stopped. It was a good thing he stopped or else Sarah would have gone on as if nothing had happened. The turned a corner, following the winding of the path until they reached another intersection, "for tradition sake, I say right again" she said. She was so busy enjoying the socialising she had forgotten to analyse the direction (She hada keen sense of which direcction) and just flippantly chose that direction. She had not realised that her marching had ceased a while back and she was walking now. She took a right. "So, if you are from Ireland, do you like Potatoes??" That had to come up. |
Quote:
"But... Why would you say that? What would make the Hufflepuffs NOT humans? Why would I think that you're not normal humans? ARE YOU GUYS PART ANIMAL OR SOMETHING AND YOU'RE TRYING TO HIDE IT?!" HMM?! HMM?! Benzi eyed the boy with renewed interesting, using the fact that he now knew he was in the smart people house to feed his confidence. If he assumed it, then because he was smart - THE SORTING HAT THOUGHT SO -it was obviously true. BOOYEAH. |
Quote:
Forrest just eyed the boy with big eyes. BIG, HORRORFUL EYES. "NO!" There it was happening again, the scratching sensation. His arms were all prickled, and it was spreading to his legs. It was too much pressure. He closed his eyes and breathed through his mouth, but it didn't help at all. "I'm just saying it because you think I'm some weirdo ever since that train ride I just told you to stop but you kept insisting and I wanted to set things straight but you RUIN it again!" He folded his arms and held onto his robes to not scratch. Please. He couldn't scratch. "What's wrong with you?!" There. He'd said something horribly rude. Ground, do you mind opening up into two to swallow him? It should be too embarrassing for even inanimate things to bear. It was at least for Forrest. But he was still more angry and confused than he was embarrassed, so he just shook his head at Benjamin and turned his back to him to walk away. |
Quote:
Had he caught all that? She was sure he had. "I also have amazingly beautiful and soft hair and I'm a lot shorter than you and it's not very fair." After that, she bounced, trying, just for a MOMENT, to match his height. Anyway, those were all important things about her. |
Quote:
Beautiful and soft hair? Well, yeah. She did have nice hair.. although he liked his hair the most. So.. sorry, Cat. "How short are you?" Stan asked, looking down at her with a grin. He was pretty tall though.. 5'9" already and he was only 15. |
Quote:
"Also, gelato is a million times better than regular ice cream." Yep. Cat gave Stan a look that spoke how not amused she was about his height. Not amused, boy. "I'm 5'5." She admitted, "I was hoping to grow over the summer, but I didn't." Not really, not her height, anyway. "I guess that's not SO short, but almost all of the boys are taller than me. Even Elodie is." |
Quote:
Stan laughed when he caught her glaring at him. "Well.. you're really not THAT short, you know." If that made her feel any better. And no, he didn't say that just to make her feel better. It was true. "Besides, 5'5" is a good height for a girl, I think." |
SPOILER!!: Sarah! "Yeah, that's a good point. They could easily cheat, leave the maze and be done with it. Unless there's some sort of magic that stops people from disapparating out of the maze. That'd make things more interesting." Tag said, agreeing with her point. "They could walk backwards."He suggested. And then, ever so suddenly, Tag turned around so that his back was towards Sarah, and placing his left hand on the maze, began to walk backwards. With some difficulty though. Trying to keep the same pace with Sarah, tripping slightly, he nodded at her. Wow. Sarah really knew why she wasn't doing the subjects she didn't want to further herself in. Tag's main reason was that he just got too confused too easily. "I feel like if I do more than five subjects/owls, then it'd just be too much for me to handle, you know? But, you've really got everything in order." He said as he listened to her some more. [B]I'm half and half, but I like using the muggle way better. And, it seemed like her attending CoMC had helped her out. Unfortunately Tag had not gone to that particular lesson. "A calf? Whoa. Did it take long?" And so Sarah decided for them to take a right, and again, with some difficulty, still walking backwards, Tag made an awkward right turn. Shaking his head at the potato thing Tag answered Sarah, "Errr... well I like a lot of foods. But my top three dishes are anything pasta, pizza and macaroni and cheese." Now they came to another section and Tag pointed towards the left and quickly ran over to the opposite side. "Left!" He called out, in case Sarah hadn't realized. |
For Saz Just another normal day for Wade, in his free time at least. Walking out towards the grounds as usual, he walked he began to noticed something different further ahead. Hm? He blinked as he got closer to what looked like a maze of corn field.. was this always here? Hm. Maybe he could have a little adventure in there, just maybe. It sure sounded fun. |
