Adelaide plopped down on the couch in front of the fireplace. She pulled her jumper closer around her. Man, the dungeons were chilly. She was just going to have to get used to it because she would be here for a few more years. She curled her legs up underneath her, before looking around the common room that was pretty quiet at the moment.

Addi flipped open her journal and began to write. Mostly she was just writing everything that had happened to her so far. Along with a debate to tell her parents about how amazing this place really was. She doubted they would care though. They were probably too busy playing up the 'my daughter is going to an exclusive boarding school' card to their muggle friends. She let out a loud sigh.

There was a lot of restlessness in the castle since they had all been back and no one was more restless then Ascanius. Being stuck inside with classes starting up again and try outs on the horizon...he was anxious. But being that he was forced inside today to finish up a scratch of homework he threw on his best smirk and surveyed the common room.

It was pretty quiet today, but it didn't mean that he was anything other then attractive, yeah? So he needed to just keep doing that and work on his homework.

Arithmancy, pfft.

After putting her stuff neatly in order in the girls' dorm, Nicci wandered into the common room to start to experience what it was like to be living in there. For a minute or so, she stood just the entrance to the common room from the dorms to have a proper look around. It did not look like a bad place at all. Not too bright, dimly lit as she would like it. Maybe not as good as purple yet green was not a bad colour. The fireplace looked nice. She supposed it would be her favourite spot in the place.

She took a few steps towards the fireplace yet stopped when she caught the sight of someone in the common room. Her icy blue eyes got fixed on the boy and she stared with her usual emotionless expression. Oh...it was the boy at the feast, was not he? Now that she had another look of him, she realised he was decent looking. Could be considered handsome, actually. Nicci smirked inwardly when she saw there was no one else around him. Still staring, she tried to make an eye contact. When she supposed he saw him, she showed a half smile which looked more cold and sly than warm and inviting.

Rising a hand slowly she beckoned him to come close.

This was tedious and boring, yeah? His mind was still in summer mode and to think in numbers, which admittedly he was very skilled at, was too much for the beginnings of school. Yet, here he was and the Common Room, thankfully, was silent enough for him to concentrate. The sooner he finished the sooner he could go and slave over the try out list and the pros and cons of the commitment.

But he suddenly felt very watched indeed. Lifting up his grey eyes he saw the girl from earlier who had traced his eyes staring at him. He smirked back at her, but then turned around to see if there was anyone behind him. Ascanius knew his was attractive so it wouldn't be strange if she were but...

...she was looking at him. And gesturing at him. Um...come over? Was that allowed?

Nicci eyed the boy curiously, wanting to see what he was being busy with. It did not look important to her. Nothing ever seemed too important to her anyway. She supposed he might not find what he was doing more important than having a little bit of fun anyway. She kept looking at him and her smile grew when he smirked then he looked back and, unable to help it, Nicci let out a kind but high-pitched laugh.

''It is you, silly.'' she said placing her hands on hips and shooting him a playful and mocking look. It looked like as if he was not sure if it was a good idea to come closer or not. If it was like that so, Nicci thought it was good for him. He was trying to be safe...perhaps. ''Come here.'' she said making sure her voice comes out soft and sweet. Her icy blue eyes still fixed at him, a small smirk appeared on her lips. ''Scared?''

Her laugh was startling being the only noise in the Common Room at the moment. It was the type of laugh that did not seem to befit her icy cool features, so he blinked a few times in her direction. Curious.

But when she beckoned him to her with a simple come here, he only leaned back in his seat and shot her a smirk. "I'm awful comfy here, yeah?" 'Sides it was probably more...well...he was just going to sit here. However, she was getting his broadest smirk.

Pfft. Please, scared was not a term that he even comprehended. Not in the Gryffindor sense, but he was not one for being called a chicken or a coward. His ego did not handle such blows well, so her snide remark about him being scared, which was coupled with a smirk only amused him. Playfully, he shot back, "I don't do that, beautiful." The scared thing, but he was going to stay right here in his seat for reasons.

It was a little snake. And it had emerged from the stair case bundled and bearing sweets of all sorts and a roll of parchment. Cutty wore a determined expression his thoughts only on his sweets stash he did not acknowledge anyone else in the common room, but instead set up right where the light was best; near the fire place.

The dungeons were not as he expected, but they were indeed pretty cool.

Adelaide looked up from her journal at the little first year seemed to set up shop with a stash of candy in front of the fireplace. Man. That was a lot of candy for one little first year. Of course her stomach had to agree with this thought as it grumbled at the sight of it.

"That's a lot of candy." She muttered out loud. Maybe this little snake was as nice as most of the other ones she'd met before. Maybe he would share or she could buy some too if that was what the kid wanted to do.

Cutty had unrolled his parchment and some of what looked like drawing utensils had rolled out, a blue one making it all the way towards Adelaide's feet. Then he heard her speak.
"Yer wha'?" He said absent-mindedly, his mind so intensely focused on the sweets that until she spoke, he hadn't even realized the older girl had been there. Then he realized her comment and recognized her from the house table, though he hadn't spoken to her himself. He took one look at Adelaide and his creepy little monkey smile was there for all to see. "And I've got bags of it up stairs in m'dorm. I was hoping to find someone who'd like to buy a few pieces off of me. The Droobles are only going for 4 sickles." He informed her with his not-so-subtle pitch as he laid out a licorice wand, cockroach clusters and a bag or two of Fizzing Whizzbees.

Adelaide bent down to pick up what had rolled towards her. She held the blue pencil in her hand before offering it to the first year. "Here you go."

Oops. He hadn't seen her. Addi figured she'd just gotten really good at the pretending to be invisible thing. Okay. That smile was somewhat creeping her out a bit. Who knew it was possible for kids to look creepy. Ah. So he was trying to sell the candy. "I might be willing to buy some things. What are droobles?" Yes. She was a muggle born and hadn't gotten a good enough introduction to wizarding sweets just yet.

"Thank you." Said Cutty, reaching out his small hand and putting the coloured pencil on the floor near his parchment. He began to arrange them in a manner that would suggest less care towards colour order, but with focus on ease of reach.

What did she ask him?!! "You mean you've never had a piece of Droobles Best Blowing Gum?!!" He meant it as an honest question, but his tone was less pitying and more Judge McJudgenstein. "Where have you been?!" He said, plucking a piece from his stash and tossing it to the girl. "It lets you blow blue bubbles and the flavour never fades away. If you don't like it, you don't have to pay."

Feeling like a kid in Honeydukes The sixth year Slytherin had a perpetuital smile as his eyes moved around the common room. It was like nothing had changed in the year he was gone. The chairs, the couches, the greenish tint. It seem untouched. His eyes moved along more as he moved into the room more.

Nothing or no where this past year had felt more at home than the first three minutes he had been in the common room. His eye filled with tears HAPPY tears, of course. He quickly wiped his eyes then headed over to his most favorite chair.

"Home sweet home." He blared out as if he was at a Quidditch World Cup. He could not wait to see everyone and see their faces when they find out he is back. Especially Professor Lafay!

Entering the common room with her arms filled with punk pillows, pink flowers INSIDE a few pink vases the third year old smiled while she looked around her. The common room was nice to be and she didn't disliked the color green, but...... Pink was so much better than green or any other color! So she wanted to decorate the common room with some of her own stuff, not caring if some others didn't liked pink... So with her two rats on her shoulder, Sir Blue and Little Princess she started to put all the things she had with her on their new places. The flowers first, hmm... she looked around her and saw that she could put them on the tables... Yes! That was a good idea! And next she dropped the pink pillows on the chairs, but one of the chairs was already taken. But... she flashed a smile over her face and walked toward the boy who was sitting there and showed him her pink pillow. "Hi, do you mind it if i put it here?" she hoped that he didn't minded it because pink was so lovely!!!

Addi dropped the pencil in his hand. She watched as he spread them out, wondering what the little first year had in mind for them.

She blushed slightly at the question. Man, she had really been out of the year. "No. I'm muggle born and never really had access to wizarding candy." It was really sad how little she knew about wizarding culture. Adelaide really was embarrassed by this and her face definitely showed.

She barely caught the piece of gum as he threw it at her. She looked down at what was pretty much a free sample. Addi tossed the piece in her mouth and began to chew. It was amazing! "Man. I have been missing out."

Cutty's face twisted into an expression of disgust, but not because of blood purity. Was she just joshing him?! When he realized he was indeed making a nasty face and that Adelaide was clearly processing something that Cutty didn't recognize as pride, he ceased and suppressed. She might, afterall be a future patron and he thought it best to show her a certain professionalism.

His expression brightened a little when Addi commented on the candy, though there was still something back there, concern perhaps? She liked it, though. Which was good. "Well, if you like that, you'll be wanting to try the fizzing whizbees. Try 'em on a day when you've got lots of books to carry, they're known to cause floating. Only 2 silver sickles." Merlin, he hoped her parents saw fit to give her Wizarding currency. "I'm Cutty Mordaunt, by the way. And your name is?"

Adelaide looked back up at the first year and was quite taken a back by his expression. He looked completely and utterly disgusted. Was he one of those wizards that didn't like muggle borns? Now she felt awkward for even initiating this conversation. The look vanished from the younger boy's face, but she was still wary about the whole thing.

She continued to chew on the gum. It really was amazing. Fizzing whizbees? "What do those taste like?" It sounded like an interesting concept, but she didn't want to just go and spend her money. Then again, her parents had surprisingly not cut her off from their funds so she had stocked up on wizarding money while in Diagon Alley. Oh right. Names. "Adelaide. Adelaide Adams."

"Nice to meet you, Adelaide Adams." Cutty plopped himself down in front of his parchment and picked up a bag of Fizzing Whizzbees holding it at the gathering on top and with one hand for support on the bottom as he moved it closer then away from his face inspecting it.

"Fizzing Whizzbees, Erm...Well, they're definitely sweet, but a little tart too, perhaps. But mostly they're sweet. I don't know the flavour, but they seem to be different ones. I don't have a sample, but they're only 2 sickles as well." He sat the bag of Fizzing Whizzbees down, took up a black coloured pencil and began drawing an outline of the bag on the parchment.


Cutty heard tap sound come from the table. He stopped his drawing and looked up to see PINK, PINK, PINK flowers in a EQUALLY PINK vase. What, What, WHAT was she doing?!
"What do you think yer doing?!" He called to the girl quite rudely not even noticing the brightly coloured rats upon her shoulder.

"Nice to meet you as well, Cutty." Well aside from the creepy face he'd had earlier. She'd make sure to keep an eye on him. The harmless looking ones usually weren't.

2 sickles. That wasn't that much. At least Adelaide didn't think it was. She still wasn't a hundred percent positive on the muggle to wizarding money exchange rate. "All of my money's back in the dorm. Might have to take you up on that later."

And then there was this girl (Sonea) with a lot of pink. Adelaide liked pink, but there was definitely such a thing as too much pink. And that was too much pink. She spotted the brightly colored rats on the girl's shoulders. Adelaide was never too fond of rats, hence the cat. "Um...are those pink and blue rats on your shoulder?" She was not thrilled by the sight.

Huh? Surprised to hear a voice from besides her she looked up at a boy she had met during the first day at Hogwarts. But.. she wasn't so friendly this time, nooooo, he was talking toward her like he was better than she, almost rude! Who did he think that he was? She was older than he and BETTER! So her face darkened when she turned her attention toward him and folded her arms. She looked angry at the boy before she spoke. "How dare you to talk to me like that! Made you excuse or else you have BIG problems with me, do you understand?!" And... I DON'T ACCEPT IT THAT SOMEBODY WHO IS YOUNGER THAN I AM IS TALKING TO ME LIKE THAT! She didn't told him WHY she was doing what she was doing, she didn't WANTED to talk to somebody who was so rude! So she turned him her back and started to drop a few more pink things around in the common room, waiting for him to apologize.

End of the day didn't mean the end of learning. Instead of attempting human interactions after dinner, Angeal was slouching in the armchair closest to the fireplace, focused on his copy of "The Standard Book of Spells Grade 1" with several occasions where he jotted down notes on the margins. He didn't realise someone entered the common room. Not even when the elder boy made his way towards where the chairs and sofas were until he blasted out his enthusiasm.

Surprised, the first year nearly jumped off his seat. He then realised it was just another student and not some dangerous magical creature lost its way down in the dungeons. Still seated on the armchair, Angeal turned his view to the senior student. "Someone's excited to be back," he commented with a smug look on his face.

"Okay. Well I usually always carry some sweets on me if you ever need any." He threw out for the girl. Rats?!! Where??! Cutty looked up towards Sonea's shoulders and noticed that there were indeed little moving perched creatures. They had been so brightly coloured that he hadn't realized they were living things.


Cutty's expression turned to a scowl. Who did this girl think she was redecorating their common room with all of this PINK without even asking anyone if it was alright. And, even worse than that, she wanted him to apologize! Cutty began to laugh outloud. "Hahaaa Haaahaahaaa HA! If you think I'm apologizing to you, you've been listening to fwooper songs too long. For what should I apologize? I was simply asking what you thought you were doing."

This was starting to be somewhat amusing to Cutty and he wished he knew a good levitating charm as he watched her drop various other pink things here and there.

Adelaide nodded at Cutty's mention of sweets. She was definitely going to be keeping an eye out for the first year. Her sweet stash was already surprisingly low and it wasn't even that far into the term.

Her eyes jumped back to the brightly colored rats. And then pink!girl started yelling at Cutty and things were just getting awkward. Not to mention rats. Oh god. Things were just getting worse between the Cutty and pink!girl. She honestly had no idea what to say, even though she probably should say something.

Then Adelaide spotted Oreo walking out of the girl's dorms, probably looking for her. She quickly saw the cat get distracted by something. Yep. He'd definitely spotted the rats. "Um...you might want to hold on to your rats. I think my cat's spotted 'em." She pointed to Oreo who was getting closer so that he could pounce.

Marissa walked into the common room and plopped down onto one of the couches with a sigh. She looked around and noticed a bunch of pink pillows in the chairs, "What's with all the pink?" she asked the girl putting the stuff everywhere. I hate pink, she thought to herself. "No offense but shouldn't that stuff go in your dorm and not in the common room? Not everyone likes pink." she said eyeing the pink pillows.

Common room, where one can relax after a long day of classes or a long day...of nothing like ariana had.. she had no classes today and was in her room all morning doing NOTHING but talking with her whacked out pygmy puff who doesn't know how to stand still.. then she got some food and went by the lake till it started to rain a bit, then she had to bring the pink puff back inside, so she settled into the common room. laying out on the floor, cause it was CLEAN this term and putting her puff Madison down next to her and watched as she hopped around a bit and sniff at people's feet and toes.. "maddy, knock it off. no one wants you by their feet im sure." the puff didn't seem to listen though as it hopped around the area, making sure not to wander too far from her owner though.
