She wasn't that late, okay?

After waiting in line for what seemed like forever to stock up on snacks, Ella wandered back to the Prefects' compartment and casually slid inside, taking the nearest open seat. She was being stealth, see? And again, it wasn't like she was late to arrive or anything.

Opening a package of gummy worms, the soon-to-be seventeen year old glanced around and said casually, "Hey, you guys!" GRIN. "Um...anyone want a gummy worm." And she hadn't missed anything, right? Right.

Oh and there was a Tobias. Right there. N'aww.

...Hair rufflesssss!

Wade chuckled with her, oh the irony of a Kitty and Mouse working together. Heh. "Well, thanks Min. You deserve your badge too." He looked back at the bear of hers, that Ethan won her? "Cool.. that festival was fun, and I'm glad you're feeling great." He beamed at her, last year was just.. well, let's not dwell on the past then. There was a lot to look forward to now.

Wade merely grinned at Tobi, before turning his head to his Head buddy, Kat. She was cool to Wade, despite playing Keeper against him, they were now buddies! That was awesome. Now he wanted to let her know that this kid wouldn't make any difficulties for them. "He's cool, don't worry." Happiness to people.. Well that did, Tobi is staying right here. If Minnie didn't already claim him as one of hers, he was next in line for adopting him. "Come on over here Tobes." Waiting until he was by where Wade and Minnie sat, he then asked. "So what's your cat's name? Min and I will definitely help you find him."

Just then the door opened again, "Hello there," Wade smiled and waved as another girl came right in. He unfortunately didn't know too much on her other than she was one of Gryffindor's Prefects from last year as well. She seemed nice though. "Want a chocolate frog?" He then offered one.

Following her right after was Captain Ella. "Ella, hey!" Wade just about beamed waving her over. He was happy to note her stock of gummy worms wasn't short."Sure, I'll take one.. or some." Heh. "Want a chocolate frog?" Since just about everyone was getting one from him. They nearly had everyone in here now.

It was all getting a bit mad in here, and Theo was having a mental countdown to when he was just going to abandon ship and find some of his friends to hang out with instead. But when another kid came in, wearing a green badge that said 'also i'm a prefect', Theo frowned even harder. I think you'll find that HE was the only Slytherin male prefect up in this joint. "I thought this was a Prefect's compartment." He muttered to not really anyone in particular.

Theo never bothered the people when HE was younger...

Pshh... annoying.

When Ella walked in, though, Theo was a little distracted. He grinned up at her, making sure his chest was nice and puffed out. The white shirt he was wearing really did show off his badge. "Hi, Ella." Hi, do you see? DO YOU SEE HIS BADGE?

She looked pretty.

Ahem... yeah... I mean, no she didn't.

Ha ha ha. Nice try, kid. "They're pretty thin, don't you think?" Kat said and poked one of the kid's badges. The Slytherin one in particular, because that was the only one she cared about. And do you see her badge? It wasn't as thin as his parchment badges. A lot more sturdy and strong too. The rain wouldn't dampen it in any way, like what it could do to the younger boy's paper badges. And it wasn't possible for one person to have four different badges from the four houses of Hogwarts.

Oh, so he was looking for a lost kitty too? "What does your kitten look like?" AND NOPE. Kiddo can't enter just yet. Yeah, they were official. Official fake. Was that rude? Yes, sort of. Stay outside of the compartment, please.


Gryffindor female prefect. Alright, all they needed left was their male one. Jake, was it? Where on Earth did he go? Kat was making inferences in her head that he had gone snogging Anya Phillips somewhere. She wasn't surprised, even at the slightest.

It was obvious anyway.

"Hey Ira," Kat greeted the Gryffindor as she entered. Merlin, it was getting crowded in here.


It was almost expected that the Hufflepuff female prefect would get a stare. Let him inside, why? Kat still didn't see the point. Didn't they have compartments in the front, middle, and back cars? Like hundreds on them and people could always chill there. They only came here if they needed help and unfortunately using fake badges was... not okay with her. Nope. "Someone help him find his kitten. Under your seats or something." Still not letting him in.

And they were going to start patrolling soon. All the prefects, that is. The captains can chill here or patrol with them too, but preferably the latter. It would be unfair. They might be able to find the boy's kitten faster.


Ella wasn't late right? Or was she? Whatever. Kat didn't exactly care if they were late or not as long as they were all here and gathered. Pardon the butt-squishing because they were getting a firstie and a Toby which meant even more butts. SIGHS. And to think they were already crowded enough with just the student leaders inside. More heads are better than one, yes... but it was the exact opposite with butts.

... Did that make sense?

Anywaaaaay... "Hey, Ella," Kat said. "And could I have a gummy worm?" She desperately needed something to busy her from all the commotion in this compartment. Like eating. Yep.


HNNNNNNG.

What did those Puffer prefects have with her? YES, she knew that Toby was cool but still. They didn't get what she meant. He only needed assistance with finding his lost kitten. Who did her apparent Head buddy think he was? Kat wanted to get out of this compartment like... as soon as possible. Or jump off the window. She can't handle this. Nope.

She'd let them deal with this Toby kid. Find his kitty. Go on.


Well, someone who sort of felt the same way with her. Kat was relieved that she wasn't alone and the fact that she shared the annoyed feeling with her Slytherin prefect buddy made it even better. "........... I wanna leave too." Outside of this compartment, yeah? A place where she can actually breathe. With the amount of people in this room, Kat was expected to suffocate any minute now.

Of Course, Nigel gave Theo a high five. High fives had to be perfect and it was. Nigel smirked at remembering silencing Min last term. Though he did leave Oakey in the kitchens alone. Which was not cool. "Sounds Fair". Oh Yes, the Hair Ruffling. It was a good experiment. Even though Nigel did not like his hair being ruffled for that long. It did result in a magical Afro, some how. Which was awesome.

Nigel nodded to what Theo was saying. Wasn't this compartment only for Prefects and Captain. Too much craziness. Though Nigel guess if students needed help it was fine. But still.

And now the other Gryffindor Prefect and Ella were here. This place was getting smaller and smaller. Though it was a fair guess to where the male Gryffindor Prefect Jake was. Somewhere with Anya, of course.

Nigel started to stare at the Fairy and Toby. Great now they had to look for a lost cat.

Crowded compartment was crowded. Sorta. And interesting things always happened in this side of the Train leaving Beezus face!palming to herself, suppressing chuckles all throughout. Such as when Alice and Mo began to terrorize, although she knew better - they were just playing around, an ickle firstie who apparently thought she was a fairy. CUTENESS OVERLOAD. She couldn't remember being that cute when she was on her first year.

Ah, the nostalgia. There seemed to be quite an amount of that right now.

But soon, other Student Leaders were bursting in. Wade (It wasn't a bad thing to appreciate how hawt the Head Boy badge made him look now, eh? Her boyfriend wasn't here after all...and she was keeping to her thoughts. Ahem.), Minerva (Umm, has she been crying? Did she got pecked by her owl on her way there?), Ira (Was it just her or has this girl been like.....hard to come across lately?), and of course, Ella ("I'll have a gummy worm, please Mrs. Summers." *BEAM*)

If she was blushing profusely like she always does, Beezus didn't see for her attention got SNATCHED by another small person who wanted tp bring happiness? Ickle Santa Claus of the muggles? Oh and, lookit. He looked like a little Dallin. Hmmmmm.

Missing kitten?

Beezus' dark brown eyes fleeted immediately to the other Hufflepuffs in the room as she continued to suck on a gummy worm. Good finders, they were.... so they should especially help their young badger. And yeah, they were on it. Beezus crouched down just to check under her seat. "No kitten under meee." There, she helped.

Can she go out now? Head Girl seemed to cue that they start patrolling now.....and Beezus liked patrolling.

"I guess we should start patrolling now?" Yeah? Yeah? Okay, go lets.

Derry had been sat in the corner, just observing what was going on. It was a little chaotic, wasn't it? She hadn't exactly expected this. Though she wasn't sure what she was expecting from a compartment filled with the head students who's job it was to keep a bit of an eye on everyone else. And then there was her. She wasn't exactly sure what she was supposed to do. Could she sink into the chair and just blend in? ... No, not with this hair. Pfft.

Toby though, he was adorable. She waved at him a bit and gave him a grin. He was her favourite younger student, okay? He appreciated her awesomeness.

But he was missing a kitten? Nooo. "Hey Toby, I speak cat you know. I can help." she said, giving up pulling straw from her hair and just tying it up in something resembling a ponytail. "What does it look like?" Cause that was the right thing to ask first, right. She heard other people addressing him though and just kind of hovered there, waiting to be acknowledged.

Welp, it was certainly crowded in here. The blonde noted the extra additions and new faces with a smile but was more concerned with gummy worm nomming, y'know. Blondie was quite hungry. Nom. Nom. Nommmm.

Wade's hair looked especially curly today, did he know? Ella's eyes went from that to his face and she BEAMED back at him, feeling proud. He was HEAD BOY and she couldn't have thought of a better person for the job. "Hi Wade!" Waveeee. "You can have more than one because head boys get special privileges, yeah?" Wink. See? She'd been working on the winking and the smirking and she totally had them down now. The blonde placed a handful of gummy worms in his hand and then held out her own for chocolate frog purposes. "Yes please!" This whole sweet sharing thing was nice, yeah?

And there was Theoman and his badge and yes, she'd noticed. Ella beamed at him and poked his badge gently. "Hi, Prefect." Grin! "The badge looks nice on you." And she was really proud of him, okay? She also sort of wanted to say 'I told you so' for all the times he'd talked bad about himself and she'd told him he was wrong but she didn't. Instead she asked, "Have a good summer?" Oh and he could have gummy worms too if he wanted.

Kat! Ella liked Kat and enjoyed their whole blonde keeper/student leader bond. Except that Ella hadn't done the keeping thing in a while but the bond still stood, right? Right. "Hey there!" BEAM. "Congrats on the badge. It's well deserved." And she got to work with Wade who was awesome so she wouldn't have any problems, Ella was sure. As for gummy worms, the sixteen year old nodded and poured some into Kat's hand. "Enjoy."

Beezus got a GRIN from Ella and eyes because nickname reasons that shouldn't be said aloud. She wasn't going to actually say it, was she? Anyway, the blonde was happy to see the brunette and she casually held the bag of gummy worms out to her, smiling all the while.

And there was a Hulk dealing with an adorable ickle and she got a finger wiggle and then a Nigel and a Ira and a Minnie and a Mo. Oh and a Derry. Ella had talked to her in the library last term, yeah? Book lovers unite and all that. "Congrats on the badges, you guys!" Well, the ones who'd just recieved them, that is.

And Tobias had lost his kitten? Ella didn't even know he had a kitten but if he did and it was lost, the captain was going to help find it. She was a good finder, remember? Badger and all... "Where'd you last see him...or her?"

For a moment Abbi looked at her ankles that were in the brunette's hands. She was thinking of how she could possibly escape the grasp. "You're evil!" She stuck her tongue at the belly rubbing badge girl then looked back at her ankles.

No. No. She had her point one wrong. Shaking her auburn hair along with her head, Abbi opened her mouth to protest. "I'm a witch fairy!" See! She could totally accept being a witch monster. "Maybe I am and I would of gone had you not grabbed me to eat me!" HER FAULT COMPLETELY! Looks for you missy!

MORE HEAD SHAKING! Nothing to fatten her thank you. She wanted to taste gross to witches not yummy! Maybe she needed to get some cooties. Ewwww though.

The head shaking stopped and instead Abbi looked at the boy with the blue badge very confused. Really she was wondering if he were trying to trick her. Hmmm. Was he a meanie witch or a nice witch? She looked at his chips and then back at him. They did look DELICIOUS and the thought of a giant bald canary. That was a bird? Booooooring. "Let me think about that." She then turned her head to the yellow badged boy.

She knew that! Donny had told her about the nice ones. Mhhhm. She looked around at the others and only now most of them were giving her looks back. They looked mean. MEANIES! "My skin is fairy skin, course it's safe." She beamed at him. And chocolate frogs? EWWWW! "Witch food, no thank you." Who ate frogs with chocolate? WHO? Siss!

BINGO DADA BING BING BING!

The children eater had it right. She was lost, just a little, but lost. Yep. Yep. "Yes! I cant find my best friend." Frowny face. So chips for not being eaten? OKAY! Deal! "Mo!" She got his name from the eater."Give your chippies to her." Seee this was why patience was important sometimes.

She could finally stand though. Beaaaaaaamy beam. She was ready to run away on the count of three when someone else appeared at the door. She'd seen him earlier but now he had FOUR badges! REAL COOL! GASP!

"You must be REAL awesome to have four badges!" She looked at the boy more her size. Enough of that though cause next thing she would contract cooties. Ew.

"You're taking me to find my best friend or a room thingy. We can look for his cat too." She nudged at the so called by everyone else, Alice. She didn't exactly want to stay, next thing she were to be eaten by them all. At least outside she could run if need be. Abbi logic, see.

YEAAAAAAAH.

You know what? Slytherin prefects were SO outta here.

Theo nodded, still frowning, "Let's go." He stood up and waited for Kat to stand by his side. FORWARD MARCH. Besides they had private Slytherin stuff to talk about anyways.

Theo grinned finally, and what was.... was that a BLUSH, too? Yeah, he did that. He soon cleared his throat and dropped the smile, though. Stay cooooooool. "Thanks, I think it does, too." You know, just being modest and stuff.

"I had a GREAT summer." Theo usually got annoyed with the amount of people that asked him that when a new term started, but he actually had the best summer ever and he couldn't shut up about it. "Me and Dora went to see dragons." SUUUUPER BEAM. "Did you?" Have a good summer, he meant, not did she see the dragons.

Because THEO and DORA saw the dragons, not anyone else.

Ooooh, Minerva AND Wade in here? THAT WAS SO COOL. With Ella (who had ruffled his hair on her way in, to a beam from Toby) that made THREE of his best Hufflepuff friends all student leader-y and stuff. So that made him cool by association, which was AWESOME.

Tobias made to step into the compartment after both Wade and Min said he was fine to (which, by the way made him EVEN HAPPIER), but he stopped before his stepping foot even managed to hit the ground once. The girl at the door hadn't let him in yet, and Tobias could DEFINITELY detect some negative vibes from somewhere in this compartment, though he wasn't sure from whom. He was un-official Happiness Bringer, so it would be a dereliction of duty if his arrival would make people UN-happy.

Before he could say anything else, The-Girl-at-the-Door had commented on his badges. Tobias looked down at his chest and for a moment or two it might have seemed like he was hanging his head in sadness... but then he looked up again, all HAPPY SMILES.

"Yup, they are." Pretty thin, that is. "I was gonna make just one super special one-" Tobias pointed at the Hufflepuff parchment badge on his chest. He'd pretty much just totally given away that they weren't real, but the Hufflepuff never actually was trying to fool anyone with the parchment. It was all for a bit of fun. "With lots of parchment and then something to make it shiny. But then I decided I wanted one from each house, so I could show of our school unity, right here on my chest!" And THAT was more of an explanation to the other ickle that was in the compartment, though he was kinda telling everyone else too.

He couldn't leave any houses OUT, right? Right!

WAIT THAT WAS DERRY IN THERE TOO! Tobias gave a waaaaave. Hi, Derry! HI!

Tobias was, through all this time, still stood just outside the doorway of the Prefect's carriage. He was about the describe the kitty to people and maaaaaybe shuffle inside a bit, when someone inside stood up. A Slytherin who'd been on the Quidditch team last year. The one the Gryffindor captain had bit.

Tobias couldn't be sure but he had a feeling that the VIBES he'd felt earlier were coming from this dude. He took a mini step back and bit his lip, more out of reflex than anything 'cause, you know, they were tall and he hadn't grown in over a year. 'Cause there was The-Girl-at-the-Door twoo and they were both pretty tall. Plus, negative vibes were scary. But Toby soon recovered himself and smiled again. 'Cause he was trying vanquish those vibes from everywhere ever.

"It's okay, I mean... this is your compartment and stuff. If it makes you all happy that I stay out here, then that's okay with me! 'Cause I like for people to smile!" So he'd stay out here, see? Feet were behiiiiiiiind the line. Then maybe those prefects wouldn't want to leave.

Toby then addressed everyone else that he could see inside who'd offered to help him. Particularly Derry, 'cause she could speak to CATS after all. "I do need my cat though. He's only a baby and I only got him last week. He's teeny and he has blue eyes and he's black. And he doesn't like staying still. I lost him down at the luggage compartment and I've checked there every single compartment all the way up the train, except this one." So he kind of HAD to be here. Tobias hoped he made a good show of covering his concern with his smile. If the cat wasn't here, he probably wouldn't be found. But he WOULD be here. "His name's... Bludger." Because that's what he called it the most: You little bludger!

Toby paused for a moment and looked in at them all. "Would that accio spell work?" Or would it be too dangerous on a living thing?

Black cat. Blue eyes. Right. Called Bludger. Derry nodded and reached over to ruffle Toby's hair. Cause he was adorable. "I'll help, my Lando goes running off all the time." she said, giving him a reassuring smile. "They just like adventures, you know? They love exploring, especially when they're little." Because cats. "I found Lando curled up with our new foal this summer." Which was probably dangerous, such a little animal with a baby horse who didn't know his own weight. But he was okay.

So he could be in here. Right. Well... that was a start, right? Derry hopped up onto the seats too look behind all the bags in the luggage racks. "Heeeere, Bludger. Ch ch ch ch." That's right. Cat summoning expertise right there. "Meooooow... ch ch ch ch ch..."

He wasn't up here... So where else could she look. Hmmm... where would Lando be? With any other warm object that he could curl up with...

WAIT.

Hopping down from the seat, Derry picked up Lando’s catbasket from the floor where she’d put it when she came in and looked at it. The little door was open......... Hmm. “Lando did you steal Toby’s kitten?” she asked as she peeked inside. Yep. Sigh.

“Sorry... my cat is a kidnapper.” She lifted the basket up to show him inside. “Go on, take him, Lando only attacks Ascanius.” Because she’d trained him to. Hehehe.

Mo grinned at Minerva, trying to convey a general 'no hard feelings' without words. He knew she hadn't been insulting poor Nigel, but apparently his sense of humor was Hufflepuff-proof today. He'd have to work on being funnier or just stop trying altogether. "You know you can cook for Ni and I whenever you want, Min. We'll even make you up a list of our favorite foods ahead of time." See? That was him trying to be funny again. How was it going?

He sat back on his heels with some amusement as Tobias tried to bluff his way into the compartment with fake badges. That kid was absolute trouble... and he got away with it because he was sincere in his seeking of said trouble. It was the same reason Mo used to get away with stuff, actually, and he kind of missed that worldview. Like people were just going to let slightly unreasonable behavior go because you believed they would.

Because Min and Wade and others were taking care of Tobias, Mo was able to turn his full scoffing ability back on Alice, who was ACTUALLY chastising him for scaring the baby fairy kid. For real? He wasn't dragging her around by her feet or asking her to pretend to be his pony, unlike some Alices were doing. In fact, his 'threat' was just a warning. If fairy kid didn't toe the line, someone was going to hex her. It was just a proven fact. He pushed the whole cone of chips into Alice's hand, and, combined with his scoffing face, this was a big sign of Mo displeasure. "I'll turn you into a bald canary, and then I'll throw you in the lake. Calling me out as a bully..." Grumblegrumblegrumble.

And as for you, fairy kid... "I don't want to burst your bubble, but it's time to come to terms with the facts, Miss Abbi. You made it on the train, so you are a witch yourself. You're more than 5 inches tall, you can communicate with words, and I have no desire to make a potion out of your non-existent wings, so you aren't a fairy. And I'm sorry if that bothers you, but it's way cooler to be a witch anyway. The point is... we'll help you find your best friend or your lost toy or whatever it is you busted in here to find, but you cannot talk nonsense anymore. Not in here." And maybe that made Mo a heartbreaker, but it made him a Ravenclaw heartbreaker, and he would not be able to converse sensibly with the child if she was living in a fictional realm. Nope.

Minerva smiled at Ella and wave, "Hey Ella..How are you?" It was good to see her friend again. She passed on the gummy worms. Her stomach wasn't feeling up to anything. She sat quietly listening to everyone and even rolling her eyes when Kat wasn't letting Toby in. Was the badge going to her head or something. Just let the little guy in. Wade was Head Boy and he wasn't caring if he was in or not.

Once Toby was allowed in she gave her little badger Kitty a hug. "Hey Toby, you brought those new gloves I bought you right?" She leaned and whispered, "Even if you end up not playing Keeper." She gave him a small smile and then another quick hug. He was just to cute not to hug and yes everyone she could hug again. No more screaming and jumping away. That she was thankful for.

Watching as Derry seemed to talk cat.. Wait.. talk cat? That was well... interesting, but it seemed to work. "Hey that's great! Toby your kitty is so cute. Maybe Fluffy and Bludger can be friends and play in the common room. She gets along with cats pretty well." She should her best sister friend was Elise, Ethan's cat. She glanced at her Pygmy puff that was snoozing on the chair. Hard day for the little girl leaving her little pet family.

She made her way back to her seat and smiled at Beezus. She seemed in good spirits. Why did it seem she was the only really weak one here. Point number five thousand as to why this badge was on the wrong person. Min clutched her teddy bear again and just sat quietly waiting for the heads to give out what they should do next.


Minerva looked up at Mo and a grin formed, "I would love to cook for you both and a list would be great actually. Then I will know ahead of time if the kitchen has what I need or if I need to send Liesel out for things." She couldn't wait to get back in the kitchen and this just gave her reason. "Tell Aidan I can make him chicken nuggets again too." She knew that was a request last time and she didn't mind making them for him.

Things Ella had learned since she entered this compartment? Tobias had a kitten with an awesome name and Derry's cat was a cat-napper. Interesting. She'd need to keep this in mind in case she ever got a cat of her own. She also wondered if she needed to warn Senor Mo cause he had a Cat of the human variety, yes? Just some things to think about. Gummy worms were things to think about too, apparently. Nom. Nom. Nom.

Was that a blush, Theodore? Ella saw but she didn't mention it because she hated when people called her out for turning red. Instead her smile widened a bit and she rolled her eyes at him. "You're welcome." And of course he thought it looked nice. Modest Theo was always so modest.

"Dragons, really?" That was pretty epic as far as dates went, actually. Nice job, Theo. "That's brilliant! Were they huge?" Cause they were obviously awesome. That went without saying. Dragons, duh. As for her summer, the blonde nodded. "Mine was really nice. I worked with elephants again, was in a wedding, got a turtle, and Alec came to stay for a while." All great things in her opinion. "I'm glad to be back, though."

In case that wasn't obvious.

"I'm really good, thanks!" The more important thing, though, was how Minnie was. The blonde knew that she'd had things going on and had worked on them over the summer so she was curious. "How are you doing?" And was she okay with hugs now? If so, the older puff was getting a big one later.

Wade positively beamed back at Captain Ella who, what was this? More than one gummy worm for him? "Awesome! Thanks Ella." Now they could trade, handful of gummies for the delicious chocolate frog. He tossed her one before having some. So the Gryffindor female Prefect was Ira, that saved him from asking. Now they needed the male one.. Jake wasn't it? Hmm.. Wade remembered the name, but, he never met the guy.. Or did he? Hm. Well, if the guy ever showed up he would definitely know.. or not. Heh.

Right, so they had a lost kitty on the loose. Black flurred, blue eyes, and answers to the name.. Bludger? Interesting name. He made a mental note to make sure no one else tested out to see if that name fit the cat. He looked to the Head Girl Kat, see if she had any ideas, though his brows slightly furrowed at how stressed she looked. Hmm.. Not wanting to point it out, instead to relieve this he said. "We'll take care of this."

He was pleased to know other people were helping, like Min and Derry who apparently could speak their language? Well, Wade wasn't going to question that. This school was pretty diverse for a reason. He didn't mean to somewhat forget the Fairy Abbi, since she seemed to be taken care of already and they now had a missing cat emergency. He looked up from where he last checked underneath his seat to see Mo, Fro-Nigel, and Alice.. sorta watching over and speaking with her, instead of tasting her while Theo and Kat looked to be discussing other stuff. Goodie.

The sound of a mewing cat, stopped Wade searching as Derry used her magical cat language to find her. "Oh cool, you found him. Nice work." Even if her cat technically was to blame, at least Bludger was safe and sound. Wade plomped himself back in his seat. That seemed to be only reason Tobi was here right? Yep. Then Beezus asked one important thing, about patrolling.. Hmm.. maybe it was time to not relax anymore. Inward sigh from Wade.

"Well, everyone.. nearly everyone's already here and comfy, right?" If Jake managed to show up, now would be good time. Otherwise, no biggie, he was sure the message would get passed to him. Wade then turned to his Head Buddy. "Unless anyone has other concerns and questions, I think we can start patrolling now.. Kat?" In case she had something they needed to discuss beforehand, Wade definitely didn't have her experience as Prefect just yet. So now she could lead with him.

She slipped her hand into the first year's and led her put of the Prefect's Compartment, but not before she'd given the Hufflepuff boy's red Captain badge a look of approval.

The crowd in this compartment was unlike last term. This term, it was more crowded with even more people and a bit of chilling time with a firstie and this Toby kid whose year is unknown. It was also a first since Kat was getting irritated by a certain Hufflepuff female in this room. Did she not know that someone was going through a bad day? Guess not. And Kat didn't care. That problem was the least of them and certainly wasn't worth fussing over.

And Ella. This Hufflepuff female got a smile from Kat though. "Thank you, Keeper!blonde buddy." It was greatly appreciated, did she know? Kat appreciated the congratulations and the gummy worm. At least she had something to nom now. Merlin, help her.

Then at the kid Toby. He wanted to modify his Hufflepuff badge to make it better? "Maybe a charm or two could work. Especially to make it water-resistant. I know a charm." Kat would show it to him, but not now. She still had to do stuff with these people. Head Girl. Truebridge, really. "And Derry found your kitten." Wanted: Catnapper... who was ironically a cat too.

Yes, Head buddy. You can handle that. Kat and her bad day just wasn't cooperating well right now. And speaking of things to do, they should get patrolling. "Yep. We should start patrolling. Never know what might happen in our absence." The captains didn't need to patrol anymore right? "Those who are staying can............. have fun with the fairy witch and Toby." Good luck with that, guys.

Kat followed after Theo cos they were gonna patrol too. And discuss Slytherin things because the whole house was practically theirs now. Hehe. DISTANT CACKLING.

Ooh. OOOOOOOOOH. Derry was speaking CAT.

Tobias wished he had some parchment on him, so he could take notes, but the only parchment he had was either ripped up or on his chest. Badges, y'know?

Soon enough, Derry had found the cat, and Toby felt a massive wave of relief wash over him. By this point The-Girl-at-the-Door and the dude with the vibes had decided to leave, so Tobias deemed it finally okay to step inside the compartment, 'cause some of the others hadn't minded.

He dodged around the fairy shenanigans to get closer to Derry and see inside the catbasket of this 'Lando' character. Before he got there though, Min was right there giving him HUGS. That was good. Toby liked hugs. He grinned at the girl and nodded his head. "Of course I did." There was no way he was leaving a PRESENT behind. She'd insisted on buying him the gloves, so they were kinda special. First present from a friend? Something like that. He smiled at the other part too. 'Cause he still hadn't totally decided but Minerva was being totally COOL.

Annnnnnnd the animals, yup. "Yeah, that sounds great! I'm not sure what Bludger's like with other animals, but I think he's fine. So far he's only attacked my thumb. He's a bit of a maniac sometimes, though." Hence the name.

Min went back to sit down, and Toby went over to see what his cat was doing. He peeeeeered into the cat basket and gdkhkhkhdhk CUTE SO CUTE. It seemed almost a shame to disturb the kitties.

But it was still happening.

Tobias reached into the carry basket and pulled out Bludger. He may also have given Lando a sneaky petpetpet before turning to look at Wade who had remarked on the successful rescue mission. "Yup, got him!" he said brightly, holding up the teeny, slightly groggy kitty to prove it. Thankfully, Bludger seemed to have worn himself out (hence the sleeping) and was decidedly unsquirmy and wasn't chewing Toby's hand or trying toget away.

Wait, so people were patrolling? The captains tooooo? Would he have to leave orrr... hm. Best to not mention it. He looked to Derry instead, 'cause she'd FOUND BLUDGER and all. "Thanks so so much, Derry!" Tobias said gratefully, appreciation written all over his face. "I'm super glad you found him. And I wish I could speak cat!"
