About twenty yards out into the Black Lake stands a giant floating dock. Though the top is flat, you’ll never find a Merperson sunning themselves on this space. Attached to each side is a ladder like you may find in a Muggle swimming pool. In the middle of the dock is a sturdy pole with a rope attached, perfectly suited for swinging out over the water and letting go (try not to belly-flop!). Off one side is a bright red slide, complete with a jet of water running down it so it’s always ready for passengers.
So if you get tired while swimming and playing around with your friends, drag yourself up on the dock and take a breather. Then when you’re ready, hop back in via the waterslide, rope swing, ladder, or a good old-fashioned cannonball!

Why not.. It is a nice day still. Somewhat forgetting forgiving the new changes at Hogwarts, Wade sat at the edge of the dock after his usual early morning run around the Lake.
He took off his shoes before letting his feet sit into the warm water as he stared out into the water. Maybe something good will happen after all of this.

Minerva headed to the dock, it was a nice day, but not warm enough to swim. She wasn't there to swim anyway. Anyone looking at her would have thought she looked a bit nervous and jumpy, but she wasn't, she was just a bit upset. Ethan had never not trusted her and she couldn't figure out why he didn't now. She knew she screwed up last term, but hadn't she proved that she would never let it happen again.
Sitting down she slipped her shoes off and placed her feet in the water. Where was Nashy he wanted to meet with her. She wasn't sure why, but they were friends so it wasn't that big of a deal that he wanted to talk. Looking around she noticed Wade in the water and waved. Now where was Nash again??

Hadn't he seen the swimming docks near the duck pond when he was talking to Bliss...actually when she scared the poop out him...but no worries he didn't really poop himself...no accidents like that for him anymore and thank goodness too!! Now where was he going? WAIT! This looked that the spot and lookie here his pink haired friend. So he hadn't gotten totally lost.
Nashville was getting some looks from students when he was walking down here, maybe it was his lack of a sweater? Yes? No? Maybe so? But he went to Durmstrang so this weather right now was just so ungodly warm to him but he was also used to the heat but by heat he meant like in the nineties and the hundreds. Living in Rio de Janero was beautiful and it was amazing. Nashville took his black sneakers off along with him black socks, he set his socks inside of his sneakers, he sat down next to Minnie and smiled, letting his feet dangle into the water. "'Ello Minnie." Yes, he had to get used to not calling her Minnie!Moo, her boyfriend told him that it made her sound like she is a cow so...yeah. He didn't want to fight with the boy because the boyfriend would be able to win.

Hopefully. "I'm feeling fine, it just...I'm not allowed to call you Minnie!Moo anymore because it makes me sound like I'm calling you a cow." Nashville sighed and look out at all of the water, looking at the water made him miss Rio de Janero a lot and he knew that the weather was very beautiful down there, now. He missed the beaches and the beautiful sunsets but he was glad to be at Hogwarts even if it was going down the drain at the very moment. Homesick? Yes, but not enough to want to go home.
Now back to the main part of why he wanted to come down here and talk to Minnie. "No, it's not about the tent or the money, Head Boy Oakey and I have figured it out already so you are looking at the Hufflepuff chef...at least I think he said I can cook others foods besides pies but they all had to be healthy and such." but now he just had to tell her what was bugging him about Christmas. "It feels like she isn't listening to me or really not caring about my opinion, every time I try to say something to her about something important she kind of turns it back on herself and she is really nice and I like her and all but I don't think I like her like her enough to know that I can stay with her for a long term relationship, does that make any sense?" It just felt like he was babbling about his problems and he just felt like a bother. Nashville just wasn't used to talking to someone about his feelings.

Minerva tried to smile, but her smile was lost with a frown. Not allowed, she looked puzzled, "Who told you that you weren't allowed? Isn't that my decision whether I mind the name or not." She was so confused as to who would have said it and then it hit her. "Ethan" She looked back to the water not wanting to show Nash the hurt in her eyes, so he went and talked to Nash after their fight about trust and things. She pulled her legs up and put her arms around her legs, leaning her head against her knees. This day was so good, quiddtich went well, so she thought, and she was happy. How did it turn to be like this.
She listened as he talked about Oakey and the cooking, "Like I said before I can help. Not sure why no one has taken me up on it. I am a pretty good cook. I've been doing it since I was about six. My mom always had me in the kitchen with her." She rolled her eyes to the health stuff, no surprise coming from Oakey. She then looked shocked when Nash started about Christmas. Oh he was having trouble already, well from the rumors she had heard about how quick the relationship had started she wasn't surprised. "It makes perfect sense. You like her, but you don't feel she is thinking of you or maybe you don't feel she feels the same about you." Was she at least close to what he was meaning, she hoped so. "Nash, do you two even really know each other? Maybe you should try talking with her and really telling her how you feel. If she still doesn't listen, then I think you know your answer and you can move on. There are plenty of girls out there. I like Christmas, but if she isn't right for you, then I wouldn't just stay with her to date someone."

"I really like her to and I do remember her telling me that I am hot and she did say it a couple of times after that so maybe she just wants me for my looks?" Nashville shrugged. "It just feels like she doesn't want to listen? So maybe she just wants my looks." Nashville rubbed him eyes and turned his head from Minnie back to the water.

She looked at Nash as he gave her a hug and smiled, "I honestly don't know what got into him. He isn't one to be the upset like that. " But she knew they fought over it, she knew exactly how he felt. "Ethan's actually a really great guy, he's amazing. I actually think you two could get along pretty well. You have to forgive him for acting off, it's my fault really." She sighed knowing she would have to explain a bit. "See last term, I screwed up pretty bad. I really thought I lost him, but I didn't. So I can't blame him if he questions when I'm with any of my guy friends." She knew he said it wasn't her and he trusted her, but deep down that is what she figured it was. She didn't blame him.

Nashville sighed. "I just felt that if I had said no then someone would beat me up or she might have cried and I don't like seeing people cry." Nope, he always wanted to make someone smile. So if something bad was to happen in this relationship then he couldn't bare to break up with her and she seemed like the person to break up with someone. She could talk to Christmas? Nashville had to think about that for a moment. "Just don't punch her or attack her with a bludger...unless she says something mean about me or something along those lines." Nashville gave her a slight not.

Swimming was amazing she loved it so much. When she finally reached the swimming dock she was a little flustered at the fact she had just basically swam into a conversation. Wait? Nash had a girlfriend who just told him they were dating?
The claw girl just glanced up at the other girl and smiled. She'd seen her around - well, she'd heard of her. "H-um, hey Nash...Minerva right?" She asked unsure of the name. She was bad with names really - like any little person who didn't really bother too much to listen when being told them.
She quietly sat on the dock as a way to warm up a little bit - and heck maybe these two could help her with her predicament. She liked a guy - then threatened the guy - hadn't seen the guy in months...and now she had other issues to discuss...feeling issues...weird feelings she didn't like these feelings.

She was bored. That went without saying. Why else would she be sitting by the docks without the proper swimwear, feet in the water, a kneazle happily asleep on her lap? Took him a while to fall asleep too. She had to convince him that they weren't about to fall in despite them sitting by the edge.
This was where she started regretting that she'd left her candy bag on her bed. When she originally walked down to get her kneazle she didn't think she'd end up taking a walk and now she had nothing to munch on and no particular motivation to head back to the castle just yet.
SIIIGH.
No Giant Squid. Sleeping Kneazle. Lost Lottie. This wasn't turning out to be all that great a day...and where was Aidan? She couldn't find him either.

She was bored. That went without saying. Why else would she be sitting by the docks without the proper swimwear, feet in the water, a kneazle happily asleep on her lap? Took him a while to fall asleep too. She had to convince him that they weren't about to fall in despite them sitting by the edge.
This was where she started regretting that she'd left her candy bag on her bed. When she originally walked down to get her kneazle she didn't think she'd end up taking a walk and now she had nothing to munch on and no particular motivation to head back to the castle just yet.
SIIIGH.
No Giant Squid. Sleeping Kneazle. Lost Lottie. This wasn't turning out to be all that great a day...and where was Aidan? She couldn't find him either.
He'd been in his dorm. All day (except tryouts). Doing homework. ALREADY. What was WITH THAT?! It was like the professors were obsessed with it or something. As if they don't do enough work IN CLASS, they give MORE to do OUTSIDE of class when you could do much BETTER things like explore the castle or eat or.....well, not so much eat anymore.
Merlin, they needed a trip to Hogsmeade soon. A stop by the Three Broomsticks would be amazing. And he hadn't been prepared to be surviving mostly on his own candy, so he didn't bring a whole lot at first. Hopefully Lex did. Or she'd starve.
Speaking of which, in Aidan's quest to walk or run or fly or throw himself in the lake (he hadn't decided which yet) to clear his mind of this WORK, he spotted her on the dock. "OI!" he called to her when he was still much too far away, "HOW MUCH CANDY do you have left?" the Ravenclaw finished his question as he took a seat beside her.

It’s funny that’s where you thought of.” Maybe it wasn’t so uncommon, but she loved the lake for the reason of that was their first date. That memory hitting her so clearly. She then looked at him curiously, “What do you mean your weird and your personality, yeah you can be a bit full of yourself, but there isn’t anything wrong with that if you don’t go over board and love yourself more than others.” She shrugged, she didn’t see anything wrong with Nash, he was kind of sweet and funny to be honest. “Well people are idiots if they are only looking at looks.” He was cute, she could admit that, but he wasn’t close to as cut as Ethan was.
“Now Nash that is just silly, why would someone beat you up because you said no to a girl and I’m sorry, but that’s a dumb reason to say yes, just because you don’t want her to cry. Nash you have to date someone because you want to get to know them more, want to be with them in more than friend ways, and want to possibly love them.” Oh he was giving her permission to talk with Christmas. She really did like Nash and her friendship, it was turning out to be fun. She hoped they could be beaters together, it would be an interesting season. “I’ll talk to her see what I can come up with.” She chuckled about the bludgers, “I don’t go hitting people at random with bludgers they have t do something first.” She smirked and then laughed.
Just as she was going to see how he liked playing and how tryouts were going she heard someone call them. Looking around she noticed someone coming out of the water. It was fall, did she not realize it was too cold for swimming. Shrugging it off Min smiled, she had seen her in classes, but wasn’t sure of the name. “Oh Hello, isn’t the water cold? Oh yes it’s Minerva, but just call me Min or Minnie.”

Lex absentmindedly stroked the fur of the sleeping feline. The only good thing she could see in this whole situation was that her baby was comfy. That was basically it. She was still bored and without sugar. Not. Very. Good--

Wasn't that...? Lex twisted so she could see whoever had made that loud noise. Not whoever actually because she KNEW who it was, he just sounded far. Just as she thought, Aidan was making his way toward her. There was some major beaming when he sat next to her but that quickly died when he asked THAT question. Now there was a slight scowl.
"Not much when I think about it...this whole conserving thing isn't working, I think I've been eating candy at a faster rate because of all this food crisis stuff." She sighed heavily. "I'm sure I've gotten through more than half of it...my bag's getting light--dude, I'm almost out of chocolate frogs!!!" In all honesty, she had been eating those especially but...but that didn't make it fair. If they didn't go to Hogsmeade soon she would probably just wither and die.

Yes, swimming! She was sort of good at swimming back home, and it was sort of warm out. A.K.A, perfect swimming weather. Besides, she felt adventurous today, and what was more adventurous than swimming in summer clothes?
So Tanner pulled off her converse and laid them aside haphazardly on the dock. In bare feet (because who needed socks anyway?) she ran the length of the dock, grabbing onto the rope and holding so tight her knuckles turned white. Don't fall. Don't fall. Don't fall!
Swing! Her feet left the dock and where no loner touching any surface. She swung across the air until she was over the lake, and with a small yelp let go, allowing herself to fall finally. Air consumed her and surrounded her. Her blond hair flew in all directions, sticking out widely in the air. She kicked out her limbs as she free fell, and then closed her eyes and held her breath as she let the lake swallow her whole.
Allowing herself to sit underwater for a few seconds, she twirled around once and allowed her eyes a quick peek at the world around her. What was that song from Aladdin? A Whole New World? That's sort of how she felt right now.
Okay, this was fun, but she needed to breathe. It was kind of important for her survival for this to happen. bending her feet at the ankles, she flapped her arms and looked up at the glistening sun until her head popped up from the lakebed. A giant smile decorated her face and she look as her shoes lay lamely on the dock way ahead. Meh, who needs shoes anyway?

"But i n-needed to do it...clear my head' she nodded, droplets splashing off of her hair and onto the dock as she moved. Standing up she quickly used her wand to dry herself off.
"Siccus aerous" she spoke pointing the wand at herself and in a moments time she was dry. Cold, but dry. There, she wasn't soaking wet anymore. That was good.

Yeahhhh, he had a point there. Her sitting here was because she was bored, she might as well just make her way to the owlery and get the owl sent off. Lex gave a casual shrug. "I will, soon, you just got here. I'll just send it off when we leave here or something." If they left the dock at the same time he'd be able to remind her about it again. This was good.
Not that she'd forget. Candy was serious business, meant to be treated as such at all times.
She nodded her agreement. "I can't even remember what good food tastes like, can you?" The last good meal she had was breakfast, September 1, everything went downhill from there.
Lex noticed him looking away and was slightly taken aback by his initial response. How could he not count it? He'd never know if someone just helped them self to some, he probably wouldn't even notice. The thought nearly made her shudder. Candy thieves were the worse...no wait, idiots were, but they came close behind--

She took the chocolate frog a little faster than she originally meant to before BEAMING over at him. "Thanks! But not one less, I'll consider this one on loan, pay you back when I go back to my Common Room." These were serious times, she couldn't deprive Aidan of candy, it just wouldn't be humane.

This was going to be an easy one. She walked all the way down the dock and opened up her bag, removed the gargoyle, and sat it near the ladder of the dock. "Hello there! Annnnd piertotum locomotor!" The stony decoration wiggled slightly at the spell's affect and she grinned to see she was still casting it correctly.
Today, she was going to have it climb the ladder. Because if it was going to be any kind of successful in the circus, it needed to know how to climb. So she pointed her wand at it and began. "Climb down the ladder." It began to...but then splashed into the water. "Fly up!" she shouted, before it sunk too deep down into the water. She seemed to have been quick enough because it flew up and back to her.
This time she went down the ladder first and then back up, to show the thing how it was done. "Watch and learn, kiddo," she said as she descended. Once she was safely back onto the dock she tried it again. "Climb down the ladder." The gargoyle moved its tiny little arms and legs, holding its wings on its back, and climbed rung by rung down the ladder. "Good! Now..." she paused so it would see the difference between talking and a command, "Climb back up!" She watched in delight as it did and climbed back onto the dock.
"Hooray!! Till next time!" she said excitedly. But, remember she was in a hurry, she titled her head at Goylie and said, "Sorry, but...buhbye for now. Finite!" The gargoyle froze in its position and she put it back into the box.

Minerva saw the girl shiver, wow it must be cold. Clear her head, oh she hoped nothing was to seriously wrong. "It looks like it would be cold." She watched as...umm really what was her name again. Shaking her head it would come to her, she watched as Mika. that's it, as Mika dried herself off.
"Do you have a towel that you could wrap up in?" Min looked around the dock not seeing any, but maybe the girl had one that Minerva didn't know about. "So are you enjoying term so far?" She then remembered that Mika said about clearing her head, "Is everything alright?" She didn't want to pry if the claw didn't want to talk about it, but if she did, Min was a good listener.
