A spider web network of paths links the Courtyard to almost every area of the grounds. The paths are plenty wide enough for you and a friend to take a walk together and enjoy the fresh air. Trees, shrubs, flowers, and benches line the walkways and provide a cozy atmosphere. Enjoy your stroll, take your time, and let go of the stress inside the castle.

Jogging...
Before the weather became all worse, Richard was planning to do as much exercise out on the grounds as possible. It was not the like that he did not exercise when it was cold but this weather was much more comfortable as when he got too much exercising, his breathing hurt in the cold weather.
Also exercising was one way that helped him with keeping his mind away from Aurora...and most importantly girls. No matter if his brain was busy or not, he always missed Aurora, everything about her. It took him some time to discover that exercising keep his mind away from everything. And he was glad he discovered it anyway. Late or not.
Taking deep breaths, he decided to take a break when he felt too thirsty. Stopping near the pathway, he reached to his small bag to get the water bottle.

The tracking charm was wearing off. Ethan knew that it had been for some time and that he needed to recast it on Elise, but he had been far too busy with Quidditch tryouts and prefect stuff that it hadn't been a priority. And now he couldn't find his cat.. was the charm completely worn off?
Not that he was too worried.. She had been his long enough to know where Ravenclaw tower was and he thought he could trust her to find her way back. But with her reputation for wandering off, the 17 year old wanted to at least know where she was if he needed to find her.. in addition to the fact that it bugged him that the charm was no longer working and he needed to recast it. Now. The boy was impatient.
After checking a couple of her usual haunts inside the castle, Ethan headed outside to get a quick look around. Hopefully he could find her before lunch because his grumbling stomach was making him acutely aware of how hungry he was. Elise was not roaming the courtyard and he walked a bit further onto the grounds, his eyes landing on a boy standing near the pathways. He looked remotely familiar, Ethan thought, as he approached, noting he was his age but not really being able to place him. Probably seen him class or something.. "Hey.. you haven't seen a Siamese cat out here, have you?"

Christina enjoyed rollerblading very much, it had been like her most favorite thing to do when she was bored or when she didn't have anything to do. Despite of the mess that happened in Hogwarts (which most of the students thought it wasn't common) at least this school still had a nice outdoor spots which was better than her former school, she admitted. And she chose to enjoy it with her rollerblade. Yup! Putting the protective pads on her knee and her elbow, she walked barefoot to the pathways because it would be nice if she started her rollerblading journey from here.
"Knee and elbow pads? Checked. Helmet? Check." She muttered to herself checking her equipment. Christina put on the rollerblade shoes after that and started gliding. "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!" She screamed happily as she'd never done that after a very long time. Seriously, rollerblading is the best thing to do in the world!
Whoa. Seriously. The Hogwarts ground is HUUUUUUGE. It will take more than just one afternoon to explore the whole place.
Ky grew tired after hours of walking and jogging. As much as he wanted to stay outside, he must go back to the castle and get started on homework, or else his parents will start yapping again through mail about maintaining good grades.
While walking absentmindedly towards the castle, Ky heard a cheerful yell along with the sounds of rolling wheels on the stone pavement. Someone's really happy... Before Ky could even blink, he had collided with the owner of the voice, and fell backwards due to the large force of the collision. Ouch.
Ky was still sitting on the ground and rubbing his sore shoulder when he noticed the familiar face of the skater.
"Martha!" Ky greeted the girl, whose name is probably not Martha. "Hi!! So you're a skater, huh?" He said, eyeing the girl's skates and other protective gears. "But I advise you to be careful...almost killed me here." Ky ruffled his hair and made sure they weren't mis-shapened by the fall. Where the mirror? Where is the mirror when you need it...

Christina was very happy because she could do rollerblading again because it seemed like she hadn't done it for a long time. But well, maybe it was right because...
SHE FORGOT HOW TO BRAKE!
The fourth-year Slytherin was about to shout to person in front of her but it was TOO late. She already bumped into him.. a boy! Ohmygosh! Wasn't it embarrassing? Ouch... Thankfully she didn't have any injury because she had put her protective gears on. But what about this guy? She didn't injured him, right? "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it, because..." But then, she was VERY much familiar with the guy's voice because she called her a wrong name.
Huh, that annoying Gryffindor guy that she met at the feast. What was his name again? Well, she usually forgot annoying people's name. "YA!" She punched his shoulder. Ugh, why she needed to see him AGAIN? "First, Martha is not my name." Well, she knew that it was her fault since she didn't want to mention her name to him. "And two.... I have said sorry, right? You should've been lucky coz you're not injured then." Christina then noticed that this guy cared about his hair MUCH than the fact he didn't have any injury. Huh?
So, you think you're pretty huh? I don't think so.
She should've bumped him until he was seriously injured and made him being sent to Hospital wing.

Wow...
This water felt great. Gulping it down fast, Richard stopped himself just when he had drunk half of the water in the plastic bottle. He wanted to drink more yet he knew that he was not supposed to drink it all now for he was going to need it for the next break. And no...he was not planning to go back to the castle to get more water. Nope, he could not bother going back there. Once he was done satisfying his thirst, he poured a tiny bit of the water over his head hoping to cool his heated body a little bit. It did not work, of course, except wetting his already damp with sweat hair.
Just when he turned to his bag to put the bottle back in it, he realized a guy approaching. Richard's gray eyes watched the boy with a not-so-interested manner as he supposed he was just someone passing by. He seemed to be looking for something actually. Maybe he had lost his girlfriend. Putting the bottle in it, Rich closed his bag and was about to keep jogging just when the boy spoke. It took a short moment for him to figure out that he was talking to him.
''Oh well...'' he turned to properly face the Ravenclaw guy. A prefect...huh...a prefect lost his kitty cat? Not his girlfriend then, unless she was siamese. ''Not really. I have not seen a single creature other than the birds and i have been out for almost two hours.'' he eyed him more before going on. ''I thought cats mostly wandered in the castle. I don't think one would go this far.''

Ethan's eyes followed the boy's movements as he put something back in his bag, then back to his face as he turned to face him. The vague thought of why this boy's hair was wet drifted through his mind.. it wasn't raining, was the guy just real sweaty? ..and then the thought was gone just as quickly. It didn't matter much to Ethan anyway..
And it didn't look like he had seen Elise anyway. "No..?" He sent a discouraged look out towards the path as his eyes searched for any sign of the feline. Two hours and she hadn't passed by.. unless the Slytherin had been unobservant, which was another possibility. He glanced back at him at his comment and shrugged. "My cat wanders everywhere.. inside, outside, places she shouldn't.. She's awful about it at times, really. I had a tracking charm on her so I could keep tabs.. but it's seemed to have worn off.."
He glanced back to the courtyard, not really expecting to see her and he wasn't disappointed. "Didn't really figure you did anyway.. if she saw you she probably wouldn't let you be." Silly cat had such an affinity to males in particular.. it was almost embarrassing. Ethan glanced back and eyed the boy, Quidditch player, wasn't he? "Anyway, thanks.. and sorry if I was keeping you from something.." Conditioning or something, maybe..

Well, you know, she had reasons for not wanting to get involved in any family issues whatsoever, but....no, never mind, she won't comment. Unless he wanted to talk about that, but he's always changed the topic once too much information is given. He even apologized at Diagon for it, so she simply nodded.
Honestly, she couldn't understand that side of him. Mainly because her parents have never told her she couldn't do something. Except the whole deal with the invisibility cloak, but she knew that was entirely silly. Compared to what Garrick had commented, anyway.
Do his parents approve of climbing trees?
Only, she didn't ask or anything because she was laughing next. "You're wrong," VERY and extremely wrong, "I'm interesting, not rather interesting," seriously, we mean that. The laughter, and maybe the smile, subsided a little, why? Because she took her favorite tree rather seriously. Or the reason behind her favoritism, rather, "It may sound weird, but... it makes me look forward to something," she'll explain, because it may be a bit complicated, or simply strange, "I love it in spring, I love it when its full of cherry blossoms," she was definitely smiling now, "But I also love it because it doesn't last long, it gives you a glimpse of this wonderful thing and then vanishes just like that," she snapped her fingers for the sound effect. She also disliked that a lot, because she didn't get to see it for long, but that's what made it special.
It was also nature's way of saying that things cannot be helped.
The way she probably couldn't help disliking Aidan.
Oh. The Weeping Willow? Really? She smiled. "They are, but I like mine better," not really, his choice was a good one, "Why exactly?" He also asked 'why', it was only fair.
Lottie was positively beaming now. "I don't mind that at all." Her eyes remained on him, though.
She was right not to prod about his family stuff, he was definitely going to change the subject. Indeed he was. Giving her a smile he chuckled at her next comment. "I think that's up to me to decide how interesting I find you to be, Lotus. And I find you to be RATHER interesting. So there." BEAM. And he continued to smile at her as she explained about HER tree. Her favorite one. "It doesn't sound weird at all. I get what you're saying. That was profoundly deep, by the way." Giving her hand a squeeze he looked ahead and thought on his answer for a moment.
"Well my grandparents live on a big place out in the countryside and there is a lovely lake and on it's bank is a Weeping Willow. When I was younger I used to sit under it and fish. I always found it to be like... my hiding spot." He paused to laugh before continuing, "At least it was all mine until Benjy came along anyway. Then we usually ran off together and did something stupid."
Turning to smile at her he noticed that she was looking at him. Meeting her eyes he pulled them to a stop and pulled her into a hug rather quickly. "Thank you for being... well... You." He hadn't crossed some boundary had he?

No, nope. It wasn't up to him, really. But he used 'rather' AGAIN. You're so terribly wrong, Garrick Morpheus. All Lottie could do was laugh, rather loudly. "Rather interesting, got it." We'll keep that in mind. You'll see.
Oh? Not weird, then? It was just...complicated, since she had to explain it a bit more. Though, quite frankly, her aunt was the one whom she didn't feel the need to explain any further. 'Profoundly deep'. Lottie smiled and shrugged. Sure, it may be, she never actually thought it was, you know? "I guess." It made sense. But, of course Garrick would understand, he was a clever Ravenclaw. They didn't have plenty of those around here.
A lake? The third year Hogwartian smiled as he spoke. His words reminded her of the Giant Squid, actually. Awww, hiding spot? Lottie understood. And smiled wider at the mention of Benjy, the very mysterious Benjy she has yet to meet. "That's nice," it was, and even more meaningful than hers, because it was more personal. Sort of.
No, wait, the tree's right over there, Garrick...why was he stopping? Oh. OH. While it was true Lotus Wisteria was not very fond of hugs, her heart started to race at the sudden closeness. She might have even hug him back a little. And he probably even noticed the beating of her own heart. Merlin, that was embarrassing. By now, Lottie was certainly blushing again and..., "You don't have to thank me," what did that even mean? 'Thanks for being you'? Who else was she supposed to be?
Her eyes were still on him when she pulled away but, even if his eyes were incredibly distracting, she managed to gesture toward the tree. "The tree's that one." The big one a few feet away.
A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.

Ky wiped off the dust off his pants, smiling contently at the girl's apologize...until she stopped and punched him on the shoulder. Ouch...the girl's not as soft as she looks. What did Ky do to deserve a punch?
"Okay...Bertha.."Well, that's probably not it either, thought Ky as he rubbed his shoulder where the girl had punched him. "Or just tell me your name...what's your name little girl?" Ky asked playfully, even though the girl appears to be in the same year as Ky's.
"Err...I wouldn't consider myself lucky." said Ky as he lifted himself up into a standing position again. "I'm not seriously injured, but I'm stuck in this cheap school is the unlucky part." said Ky, maintaining his signature smirk as he offered his hand to the girl. "Come on...get up girl."
Just finishing with Herbology, Tora stuffed her protective gloves in her bag and walked along the pathways back to the school. She still had the rest of her Astronomy homework to do... The pathways were outside, so of course they were dirty... but did it count if she vacuumed here? She certainly hoped so. Especially if she used her portable black hole to suck up tons and tons of dust. She grabbed her wand and slung the vacuum from her back where she had fashioned a special sling for it with a pillowcase from her bed and tapped it saying "Vacavus!"
The vacuum started up and Tora continued to walk down the path, blue vacuum in hand pulling in all sorts of dust and dirt and leaves and stuff.

Christina rolled her eyes and scoffed. Why the heck he did just call her little girl? Wasn't he a fourth year too? Ugh! "First, I AM not little. I'm fourth year and I know that you are too. So, stop acting that you're older than me." Because that's not cool and he was faaaaaar away than cool. Annoying to be exact. "And second, my name is Christina and don't call me by any other nicknames." If he dared to call her 'Chris', she's gonna punch his face. Chris sounded like a boy's nickname and he could see that she's a girl, right?
I wouldn't consider myself lucky because I'm stuck at this cheap school. She was about to say Poor you but then Christina remembered that that's also her problem. But at least she didn't complain much like this whiny boy. "But still, you're not injured then." She commented. Christina could imagine this guy was seriously injured because of her. HAHAHA! Well, maybe not bad, just a little bruised. "So, do you regret that you're being here then?" She used to regret when she saw that Hogwarts was far away from the people's story around her. She stood up and cleaned herself.

The Penelope person got intent stares as he waited for her to retrieve the items. And feed him chocolate frogs.
Hearing a hoot, Penelope turned from the older girl for a moment and noticed an owl nearby staring intensely at her and standing beside a package and letter. For her? She picked up the items and looked at the address on the envelope. Oh, yeah, it WAS for her...from Kurumi! Awesome! Was there food in this package? Penelope was excited to look...but would wait until later to open it. When she wasn't...whatever this was...talking? Talking to this Ravenclaw she didn't know very well.
But...the owl was still there and still staring? "Er...thanks?" She gave it a little pat on the head. Was that what it wanted? Or did it want a cat treat? Because that was all she had. Aside from what was probably food in this package but she wasn't gonna open it just for the owl, even if it had delivered it to her.

This boy reminded Rich that he had been planning to buy a cat as well, before he decided that an owl, especially one really annoying like his, was enough for him to deal with. But really, he thought having a pet would keep him a little bit busier so his mind would be away from the fact that Aurora was now far away from him and that he missed her. He hardly considered Rene, his owl, a proper pet. She was more like an embodiment of disturbance, more or less. Richard was scared of hated dogs so a cat seemed good but...whatever. Apparently there were times when cats misbehaved as well.
The Slytherin raised his eyebrows when he heard what this guy's cat could do. He even felt the need to put tracking charms on the feline. ''That's...well...interesting. You trust her that she would not run out of the school grounds?'' Actually, as far as he knew, cats always came back wherever they went but it seemed that it was a bit risky with this one. He ran a hand through his wet hair and he reconsidered if he had seen the cat again. But no...he could not remember seeing one. ''No problem at all. I was just jogging. Daily exercises, you know. And to be honest i was almost done.'' yet one thing made him curious ''What do you mean 'she would not let you be'?''

Well... it kind of WAS up to him how he formed his own opinion of Lotus. Or anyone else for that matter. That was precisely how opinions worked was it not? Everyone was entitled to them and they often times varied. Mhm. Opinions. He had them. At her reluctant agreement he merely gave an absent nod. He didn't much care for being laughed at, as it were. Nope.
And she guessed what he had said was deep? Riiiight. It was. She was being purposefully difficult wasn't she? Girls were like that sometimes, he supposed.
And... she pulled away from him rather quickly. There he went crossing boundaries again, huh? Sighing slightly he directed his attention to the tree she pointed out, some of the enthusiasm lost now. Letting go of her hand and shoving his own in his trouser pockets he began to amble toward the tree. He felt the need to clear his head for a moment... she was confusing him. Leading him on a bit? Maybe? She was hot and cold... it was terribly ridiculously confusing. SIGHS.
"Well I reckon it's suitable enough for climbing," he said more to himself than to her.
And then realized that was indeed all he had said since she stopped talking. Odd.

Odd.
Well, that was... hey, wait a minute, what happened?
Words weren't really necessary to know something went wrong, right? It was easy to notice when the hand you've been holding suddenly wanders off. And sighs always reached her ears. Okay, so, he let him walk on his own for a bit, mainly because she hadn't found words to say herself.
Not that she'd be talking much, considering her teeth seem to think her lip was worth biting at the moment. Lottie didn't even walk the few steps that separated them. She stood still. Wondering. Her heart still going fast. You know, it wasn't fair, walking away like that. She had no use for her hand now, it felt ridiculously lonely and it was all Garrick's fault. The realization of this didn't make her feel any better.
He could easily hurt her.
Yes, she heard him talk about the tree. It was a very awesome tree, too. One she used to climb with Spike. She has... so many questions for Spike now.
Her gaze turned from him to the path they'd taken, perhaps expecting to see someone walking by that would explain the sudden change in his attitude...but no one was around. Which could only mean one thing. She'd caused it.
Over and over again. She went through the past minutes and failed to comprehend her fault. Highly logical, she was, and this wasn't making sense to her...
...the decision to share her thoughts was considered. And she stopped biting her lip. Eyes entirely on Garrick now. Or his back, actually, since he was facing the tree. "I don't understand what happened." She didn't. And she'd very much like to know, so, if Garrick could enlighten her a bit that'd be appreciated. "I don't understand some things that happen when I'm with you." Oh, so she had more to say, apparently. Only that time her eyes looked down. "I'm entirely fine with them, but not with this." Whatever she'd done to make him walk away.
Garrick had no idea what she was thinking, nor did he ever wish he could. Ever. His own thoughts were private and often times clearly etched on his face. Perhaps that was why he tended to avert his eyes and change the subject when things got to a point of discomfort for himself. Possibly.
Replaying all of the stupid incidents in his head... the ones where he had clearly crossed an invisible line drawn in the sand. He had certainly found a knack for screwing things up where Lotus was concerned, hadn't he?
And then she went and said what she said and his back stiffened visibly. Turning to face her he knit his brows together in frustration, though he kept that particular emotion clear from his eyes.
"Well neither do I. You confuse me. Or I confuse myself. I told you I fancy you and you tell me the same, yet I always seem to be doing something that crosses some unknown boundary with you, don't I? If you haven't noticed, I am what some would call sensitive." And what Benjy called daft. He didn't get THINGS sometimes. "I can read books and understand the things they tell me. I can learn about magic and Mugglekind and GET that, but this... you... what I feel and think. I am pretty damn clueless as to how this all works. I don't want to upset you or cross a line. Ever."
And with that little rambling over he clamped his mouth shut and continued to watch her, eyes intent on her face.

Merlin, she shouldn't have said anything. Anything at all. She should've waited a bit and see if maybe she could figure things out on her own, right? That seemed to work for her perfectly well in the past, why not now? Because the person who probably had the answers was the one standing in front of her. And this sort of concerned him too.
It was all about him, after all.
Once he started to speak, Lottie looked up. Yes, she'd missed his reaction to her words, but she was definitely not missing this. Oh? She was confusing? Her head tilted to one side as she kept listening. Never interrupting. At least she was smart not to interrupt him. So, Garrick wasn't entirely fine with this either, and...boundaries? Does anyone remember 'It's not you, it's me'? How stupid a sentence could be, and how accurate at the same time. Like, how she wasn't a big fan of hugs? It really had nothing to do with Garrick, she actually welcomed his, until her heart decided to race away. Without permission. And yeah, we figured the sensitive part, mainly because Lex had hinted about it after he'd left. It really wasn't a bad thing. Except that Lottie tended to be moody sometimes. Sensitive + moody = not a great combination.
HOWEVER, the smallest hint of a smile was on her face. She shouldn't, but she was just as clueless as he was, and that was a refreshing thought. He was just as clueless, but he had all the answers. And, of course, the extra attention she got from his eyes made her blush. She was supposed to say something back, wasn't she? Yes.
The first thing that came to mind was: You said you thought you fancy me. But Lottie decided not to get into technicalities that would help neither. Neither. Because she'd said the same, and she'd already gotten rid of the 'thinking' part. Obviously. Okay, she... didn't know where to start. Her mind was a crazy place where thought and speech couldn't get along. "Garrick...," she said, taking a step toward him, "...chances are that you'll upset me, chances are that you'll cross lines and boundaries that I didn't know I had." Nod, one more step, eyes still on him. "I appreciate the fact that you don't want to upset me, really, but...cross them." And another step. "I've...never dealt with anything like this before...," she kept on talking, "...this...is all new to me," while there's a few people she's been nice from the start and she didn't feel the same way about them as...whatever it was she felt for Garrick, so this was actually a novelty, "I guess I'm not used to hugs," well, he was speaking his mind, she ought to do it too, "Doesn't mean I won't be." TRUE. She definitely wasn't used to holding someone's hand, and that's what she likes more about Garrick.
It was very likely she was giving him permission to cross lines from now on, she was unaware of it but didn't mind.
"Listen," she started again, taking one final step that got her very close to him and his eyes. Eyes she kept on looking as she smiled and forgot what it was she wanted to say. Truthfully, she didn't want to say anything else. She'd addressed everything that needed to be addressed, so she merely leaned closer and pressed her lips to his. Eyes closed. Actions speak louder than words. And this action seemed to make a point about crossing boundaries, doesn't it?

Sonea stood on purpose in the sunlight so that the sun would let her earring sparkle and she was sure that the other girl would see it! She had that day not only her new earrings but she was wearing her new pink hair Ribbon. also. She had decided that she would wear ribbons in her hair that she had bought…or rather that her maid at home had bought for her…throughout the year
Her smile returned and she looked at the ground if it was clean and without spiders so that she could sit down. But because she was still afraid that there would be insects and spiders in the grass she hadn’t seen she placed her rat Little princess on the ground and ordered her rat to search for spiders and all the other dirty insects. “Kill them” whispered Sonea but her rat who was now strangely too fat didn’t see anything or she was simply too lazy. Sonea sighed and hoped that Little princess had done her job good and that there were no longer insects around her . She sat down and placed the basked next to her in the grass. “No Little princess, I don’t want you to go back in my pocket, you are already too fat so I want you to walk for a few minutes” said Sonea strictly and looked at the older girl.
“You can sit too if you want, and don’t be afraid of the spiders and all the other dirty insects, they are all gone now!” Sonea smiled and took a few flowers she had carried in her basked in her hands. “I have already picked a few flowers, but I want them to be pink, but I don’t know how I need to do it.” Sonea frowned when she looked at the yellow flower she had in her hands and tried to remember how her maid had transformed the color from Little princess from brown to the better color she now had, pink. But she had not paid any attention to what her maid had done and now didn’t know how she could do it for herself.
Was she trying to---??? Ohhhh! She's one of those kids? Juliet smiled at the little one, "They're cute" pointing at the earrings. She didn't notice them but when she decided to literally show them to Juliet, then now she notices it. Whoah! Hoping she won't cry if she didn't compliment those earring because, Juliet doesn't know what to do when that happens.
Kill them?
"Whoah! Whoah! Whoah!" she flailed. "We are not killing anything right now" she frowned as she saw Sonea put her hungry rat to kill the insects or maybe eat them. No. Juliet will not allow this. "They're just creatures, they're nothing to be afraid about"
.........
Did she just? Did the rat just? Juliet's eyes widened and so did her mouth. Her jaw dropped. That just happened fast. "I can't believe you just did that" she said. Poor insects, Juliet has never been scared of them in fact she likes all insects. So yes, she is a bit freaking out with what Sonea did. But she did take a seat while her eyes are still planted on where the insects are (but obviously, are now gone). She was thinking a lot about what just happened that she barely heard what Sonea was saying. What was it about the flowers? "Come again?" she said.

Clement was very much looking forward to this. He had rather enjoyed using the vacuum cleaner in the lessons, so having to do it for his homework was pretty awesome. He wasn't too into sucking up random things from the common room, so had decided to venture out into the grounds instead. Though he wasn't too sure what to suck up just yet, and so just wandered around a little. He looked pretty cool, or so he thought, with his green vacuum. It was totally the best color. Slytherin was the best house after all. He hadn't really known how to carry the thing really, not for long distances, but he had eventually decided to rest it on his shoulder, like he was some sort of solider. Not that he wanted to be a solider. He was much more content in vacuuming things up.
When he got to the pathways, a grin broke across his face. He could totally suck some leaves up. He liked that idea. He wandered along, until he came across a couple of leaves. Well, may as well tidy it up a little. Putting his vacuum onto the floor, he pulled his wand out before tapping on it, and muttering "Vacavus." Without much surprise the green vacuum puffed into life perfect. At least sucking up stuff would be more easy now, his objects were on the floor. Grinning, he aimed his vacuum at the few leaves in succession and they zoomed in. Woot. Well done. The area looked a bit cleaner now. Now onto the next thing to suck up.

This school was like a ruddy maze. Jeez. Everywhere Ascaniis turned he seemed to find another corridor or another twist in the walkway. It was a lot at once and he just didn't care enough to, well, care to learn where he was going. 'Sides, it wasn't like he got lost anyway. No way, not him. Other less awesome people got lost, he just went on prolonged adventures until he found his way back.
And that was exactly what was happening to Ascanius right now. Anyway, he had time and looked good- as per usual- so if he wanted to, you know, wander and share his face that was allowed. They were welcome.
Finding a bench, Ascanius parked his bum. He was gonna people watch. This school was full of nut jobs. It'd be interesting.
Why was Tanner here exactly? Well, her pain of a "brother" was annoying her, she didn't want to be cooped up in Hogwarts all day, and the weather looked nice. The eleven year old figured that maybe the fresh air and network of paths would calm her down. She really didn't want to get into a yelling match with Nate, but he had to realize that he wasn't her father and stop acting like he was.
Besides the anger and the suffocation of being in a castle for too long, the weather was fair, and she wanted to spend every minute she could outside before it changed. Man, sometimes she hated seasons. Like we really needed all that rain here? What, was nature trying to drown Europe?
As she walked across the network of paths, she hummed to herself, smiling and laughing. The blond pretended she was on balance beam at the Olympics. She hopped a couple of steps. What? She was bored and in a weird mood. So cue the weirdness, because it was coming.
Tanner hopped two more steps and then kicked some dirt to make it billow into the air. She undid and re-braided her hair. She hummed her favorite songs. The eleven year old made a game of closing her eyes and guessing where sounds came from. She tried to sing backwards (this went horribly).
She obviously wasn't all cranky and mean, but it seemed to be the side that came out more. She blamed people for this. Why? Because if people weren't annoying, then she could calmly go about her life and run and skip and jump. But nooo. They had to interfere and ruin things.
Great. She was mad again. Nothing little shimmy can't fix. Yeah, Tanner was kind of a weirdo. But she was a cool weirdo. At least her mom said so.

Blue was doing her daily skipping session. It was the only way to stay young, ya' know. Why did people stop skipping? It was fun. Way more amusing then walking. And much more easy-going then flail!running. It was very Peter Pan-ish of her, but she didn't want to grow up if it meant she would have to stop skipping. At least she could skip while she could along the Pathways.
She'd half expected there to be turnstiles blocking them at this rate.
The fourth year came to a stop by a bench and plonked herself down, not paying much attention to the other occupant. She swung her legs and let out a puff of air, bored already. Okay um. She held out a purple wrapper that contained a ton-tongue out to the rather pretty looking boy beside her. "Want one? 'S regular toffee, honest."
Ethan frowned slightly as he looked out towards the front gate, still not seeing any sign of that incorrigible feline. Not that he was really that worried.. Elise had wandered off before, sometimes for far longer.. but it was more the fact that the charm was wearing off and he didn't feel like waiting around for her to show up whenever she felt like it to recast it. He had far too much to do than to wait on that cat, but he supposed he had no other choice for the time being.
Ethan's eyes snapped back to the Slytherin as he spoke again and he gave him a little shrug. "Oh.. I don't think so.." he contemplated, glancing back at the gate. "They keep it locked up pretty tight around here, you know? Keeping us all in.. keeping everyone else out.." Almost to the point of annoying really, if he thought about it.. how nice would it be to visit Hogsmeade as often as he wanted? That made his mind wander with thoughts of next term and how he'd be visiting Hogsmeade as much as possible just to see her.. but it was far too early to have those sorts of thoughts and he did his best to push them far back in his mind.
His eyes wandered back to the boy as he mentioned his previous activity, giving him a nod. "Oh, right.. conditioning for Quidditch? You play.. right?" Ethan eyed him, contemplating, fairly certain he was one of Slytherin's chaser.. though he could be wrong, but he found it to his benefit to know his opponent. And that reminded him that he should probably step up his own regiment being in season. "I'm Ethan, by the way," he added, figuring they were now having a conversation of sorts and he should toss that in there.
The bloke's next question had Ethan looking at him curiously before he realized what he meant. "Oh.." he laughed a little, "Elise is a bit of a flirt, I guess.. she seems to have an affinity for boys." He rolled his eyes almost imperceptibly. That cat really was a handful at times. And where the heck was she, huh?

''Locked up.'' Richard repeated looking not so happy about it. ''Right.'' Exactly. What the Ravenclaw prefect had said was true. They were all pretty much locked in here. Or at least, to Rich this school looked like a huge prison taking him away from his girl who was now graduated and going to university. He was going to be 19 early in November and still was in the first step of magical education. Of course, he was supposed to think of these before he failed a year then got kicked out of his previous school. Anyway, even a cat could not get out so how was he supposed to get out and see Aurora?
When the Ravie mentioned Quidditch, though, Rich forgot about all those and smirked. Sports always made him feel better. Took his mind away from unpleasant thoughts. ''Yeah, i play but this is not specifically for Quidditch.'' he said ''I worked as a model last summer and i intend to keep doing it so i need to remain fit all the time. Better than fit if that is possible.''
then surely he had heard it before.
Ethan...hmm. It was like he had heard that name before. He was a prefect
''Richard...'' Rich replied ''...known as Turner to some, my last name, and most call me Rich.'' Yeah, that was it. ''Nice to meet you, Ethan'' Eh...it was nice to make a guy friend other than Dylan, after all. And who else...Maxwell the idiot but the Slytherin did not consider that one a friend at all.
A cat that was a flirt? That made the boy chuckle ''I would enjoy seeing that.''

Was she trying to---??? Ohhhh! She's one of those kids? Juliet smiled at the little one, "They're cute" pointing at the earrings.
“Thank you!” Sonea was really proud that she had her new earrings and was happy that Juliet liked them too. “I have bought them in the tattoo shop at the Diagon Alley, you can have them too if you want!” Sonea didn’t realize that the other girl just tried to be nice to her and was convinced that everybody would like the same things as she did.
“Why not? Why are you protecting those… ugly, dirty and scary insects? They are also dangers, i'm sure about that and I don’t want to come near them!” Sonea shivered and looked strange at the older girl, she didn’t understood why she liked insects and frowned. She had not done anything wrong, right? Insects and especially spiders where scary and she was sure that some of them could be dangerous! Sonea shivered now that she thought about all the little things who were crawling over the ground, maybe a few meters away from them.
“Oh, okay” said Sonea a little disappointed that Juliet hadn’t listened to her but she wasn’t angry about it, the older girl was probably just scared for the spiders and other insects, she didn’t believed that the older girl liked them, that was simply impossible, so Sonea thought that Juliet just tried to act cool and calm, like a real adult.
“I have picked all those flowers because of or common room, it is so dirty inside and I’m trying to bring some color inside or common room, but… I only want to have the best colors, so I want them all to be pink!” Sonea looked at the basket, filled with all the flowers and frowned. “But… I don’t know the spell to change the colors from the flowers, will you help me?”
