If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room tends to stay a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are windows and as the common room is located under the lake, you can occasionally see mermaids, grindylows and the giant squid swim by. A fire burning hunter green usually flickers in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as house pride is one of Slytherin's strong qualities. It reminds students of what being a Slytherin means and allows them to share those feelings with others.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a staircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo-like. The Roster is also there for Students to make sure their name is there and spelled correctly.
A podium stands to the side with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.
.
.
BUT SOMETHING IS AMISS! The common room looks filthy... some of the normal wear and tear on the furniture has not been repaired, and the fire which usually is lit prior to the student's arrival is not flickering in the fireplace. The cozy temperature you may remember from previous term is no where to be found. It looks as if the house elves forgot the Slytherin Dungeon was there...
Derry was just about to go and find somewhere quiet to read her book and get away from all this... nonsense, when she noticed a little figure working hard in the room. Oh! She knew what that was! It was a house elf... but it wasn't as big as she'd expected...
And it was... shaking? Was it okay..? It looked tired... She looked around at everyone else - nobody seemed to have noticed it, were they supposed to not speak to them or something? Whatever, it looked sick or something - and walked over. "Um... hello... little Elf-person..." she said, crouching next to it. "Are you okay..? Would you like some help..?" Surely it couldn't do all this on its own, right?

The Slytherin boy was going to comment further on the situation yet when he heard the very familiar 'POP' sound, he could not help it and cringed. His gray eyes immediately found the source of the 'POP', of course. There was a house elf near the fireplace. The gray eyes narrowed at the creature as he eyed it with discontent. ''Filthy creature.'' he glared adressing the elf ''Get out of here.''

She wasn't sure what to make of him. She wasn't particularly sure what to make of anyone here, to be honest, but he didn't have to be so mean. "He's trying to do his job, all the other elves resigned. Weren't you at the feast..?" The headmistress had told them, after all.
Toddles had just finished cleaning the sooty fireplace and snapping a new roaring fire into the grate when he was approached from behind by one of the Sytherin students causing him to jump.
"EEEEK! Oh, sorry misses studensie, you scared Toddles. I am okay, yes, just cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. That is all Toddles has time for nowadays. No other Elfsies to help him and baby Toddles must being doing all the work." He showed her the dust rag that was about the same color as his once clean, white toga.
"You would want to help Toddles? Well firstly we need to--" he began to point over to the sofas that needed whisking when a boy began to shout at him.
"Ohhhh. Toddles is scared, he is. Why is the studensie sir yelling at him?" Toddles began to shake more and crouched down against the fireplace wall. He wanted to run but he was too afraid.
Tinka and Argyle would save Toddles if they were still here. They would, yes.

Derry jumped when the elf 'eeked' but she managed to get over it pretty quickly - she wasn't intimidated by the poor thing like she was by other people, it looked sick or something. "So you're just a baby?" she asked softly, sitting down on the floor next to him. "You can't do this all on your own, Toddles..." CUTE NAME. After all, it was a huge castle.
"Of course I'll help, I clean out the stables back home, can't be much wo-" she whipped her head round and frowned at Richard again. The poor little elf was trembling."It's okay, he's just being a bully." she said, turning back to Toddles. "Bullies used to shout at me too, but you just have to pretend like you don't hear." She held her hand out to the little elf, the poooooor creature. She knew how he felt. "It's okay, I'll look after you."
She glared at the girl... she was the little flirt who seemed to want to get in the middle of Stewart-Quinn and Turner... "Welcome back, Baltazar..."
Peyton blamed the mess for Lafay's glare. Who wouldn't be put off by this? Especially the one in charge of the Slytherins.
She just shrugged and then turned toward the entrance where she had left the trunks before introducing herself. "Oi!" First she needed to get everyone's attentions. Well, those that were interested in getting their stuff back. "We brought some trunks back, so come and get your stuff." She eyed her housemates and then her eyes fell on a creature...

"You," she said, walking over the to elf. What was it doing? Her elves behaved better than this. And her's worked for Baltazar's. "West is waiting at the Entrance Hall with more of our trunks, you should help him bring them back." It was it's job to serve them. And just because she felt like she was being rude, she added with a sweet grin. "Please." If her mother heard her being polite to an elf she'd be greatly displeased and all "argh!". The thought made this Baltazar a happy girl.

Sonea stared after the head of the house and looked next around her and at the prefects.
“What can I do to help with cleaning everything?” Asked Sonea while she walked to the female prefect.
Looking around the common room, Kat could tell they were okay. That was a good sign, but probably it wouldn't last too long because everyone was talking and their common room was dirty. They should probably start cleaning now with basic charms while they waited for Dylan who had major dust problems. Well, he had buckets and stuff so that was fine.
And then someone came towards her. Oh, her. The one who earned points and introduced herself as Sonea. "Well, you can start by using the Scouring Charm on the seats, since they look a bit dusty," Kat said with a nod. "We just have to wait if Captain has anything to announce." Since he was totally going to let them clean the common room. It was obvious.

"It's okay," Kat said to the younger Slytherin. Poor kid, wanting his trunk. "West and Theodore will be back with all your trunks soon." Or maybe he didn't have to wait. "Try checking if Peyton brought your trunk with her." Kommoto probably knew Peyton after that introduction by then, right? If not, she's Kat's ickle. 'Nuff said.
And then Kat sneezed. Oh, how embarrassing. "Excuse me," the prefect said while rubbing her nose a bit. That dust must best be gone now. "Scourgify!" And look, clean couches.

Peyton had a point. Maybe the elf should help Theo and West at the Entrance Hall instead. "Yes, I agree with Peyton," Kat said with a nod. Mhm. "Why don't you just help West and Theodore with the trunks, and bring them back here." It seemed better than being yelled at in this place. Yep, eyes for Rich.
As for the common room and its uncleanliness itself. "We'll clean the common room. It won't be that bad, right?" Oh, it was already bad. Rats in the dormitories and a horrible stench. Even the thought made Kat cringe a bit.

Rich was still glaring at the house elf when he heard someone, kind of, protesting the way he spoke to the elf. Raising his eyebrows, he looked at the girl and eyed her some. Well...well...well...what not she the girl at the tryouts? Ferrier, as he had heard her name. Bless her for the kind heart she had but house elves did not deserve it. ''Oh dove...'' he began still having an eye on the elf while talking to her. ''I don't care. He is not supposed to be here now disturbing my peace. I am already not happy about the current state of this place and he just makes it even worse.''
When the elf spoke to him, of course, Richard Turner got more annoyed. He shot the creature a hateful look and took a deep breath to dismiss any thought of doing something to...give the creature a lesson. ''So you are not only annoying but also dumb, huh?'' Ugh...how much he hated those elves. They have been nothing but trouble to him all the time. Little ridiculous tattletales. He had more to say to the dumb elf yet Ferrier spoke to it again then Peyton and Kat joined to the little group of 'let's be kind to inferior creatures' .
Other than being weirdly kind to the creature, at least it seemed Peyton was doing something appropriate for its nature. She was ordering him to do something ''Peyton, my princess, i don't understand why...'' yet he stopped again when he realized that he had Kat's eyes on him. Probably eyes that did not approve of the way he spoke to the elf.
Help? Help? Seriously?
''Pretty ladies...'' he addressed to all the girls; Derry, Peyton and Kat. ''House elves irritate me. And beyond that this one does not look like he is a proper example of his kind, anyway. Just look at him. He is ridiculous not capable of doing anything of use. Do you think we would be trying to live in this filth if he was really of use? Plus, he is an elf. He is born to do this work and no one is supposed to help him. Especially not a witch.''

Watching Lafay leave the common room, Daichi sighed loudly very loudly when she had instructed the Prefects to help out. Seriously? the other Snakes weren't little kids , they could clean up by themselves. Okay, he was just saying that because HE didn't want to clean up.
But, as a Prefect he couldn't leave Kat alone and pushed himself off of the wall to FINALLY help. He now figured the sooner this was done the better. Walking over towards his fellow Prefect. "I really hate this, i REALLY hate cleaning but i'll help out.." he said to her just so she knows how much he hated cleaning up and that she should be greatful he was here to help anyways.
When the House elf appeared, Daichi was a little shocked. Didn't the Headmistress say that ALL the house elves were gone? Whatever, the slytherin was happy that at least one was left. The more hands to help to sooner they were done. And that was when he heard Turner speaking foul about the house elves that started to make him annoyed.
And he already was because he had to CLEAN! Yes, he also didn't like to clean but atleast he was going to try and help the poor lonely house elf out. "OI! Leave the house elf alone and quit talking like your some kind of prince who doesn't deserve to clean, HELP.OUT.NOW!"
"ALRIGHT LISTEN UP!"
He shouted to get their attention and clapped his hands to get their attention to him. If they didn't listen he would report them to Lafay, easy as that. "The common room is not the only filthy place. The dormitories where you SLEEP are a mess as well. I need a couple of GUYS to help clean the boys dormitory, right now! "
He then turned to his co-prefect. "Sorry, the guys can't access the girls dormitory so you girls are on your own"

So their is still an elf, and elf that just cleaned their fireplace. Wait-- Why is he cleaning the fireplace instead of the other things like, you know, the dorm beds because it hasn't probably since they have left from last term. Shrugs. Disgusting. Juliet stared at the little elf "Where is everybody exactly?" which means, why did they all decided to take a resignation from the school... or well, something like that. WHHHHHYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!
OHHHH! Bags are here! Maybe her trunk was there? Juliet approached person with adorable red hair and smiled at her. As her eyes shifted through the luggage. She did jump at the sight of her one trunk. She immediately grabbed it and felt happy "Thank you so much" But since all of the trunks she also helped in trying to fix them in order.
And seriously why was everyone yelling at each other? It's not a huge room okay? But Juliet is too stress with how messy the common rooms to even join the ruckus. She did take out her wand "I can help with cleaning the girls dorm room"

BLINK.
Looking over at Duck-person, Dylan's eyes narrowed. He understood perfectly well that Daichi was a Prefect and that his badge garnered him some respect...but no. This wasn't happening. Not even Dylan talked to the Slytherins that way...
"Instead of having that sort of ME-attitude..." He didn't like that he'd just basically said the girls were on their own. Seriously? "...get over here and let's discuss."
See?! He hadn't immediately snapped and bitten his stupid face off. Progress was being made! "I don't feel comfortable with them going up there by themselves....."

Was the blonde guy actually SMILING at him. Shiver. He needed to knock that off... it just didn't look right on him and honestly, it was freaking Ascanius out. His smile looked like the kind that you wanted to just punch off of someone's face and, well, the Essex in Ascanius was screaming for him to be the one to do it. The Dylan person needed to NEVER smile ever. He could admittedly work the scowl, he should stick with that. Seriously.
BUT... see... the problem with PUNCHING the blonde guy was his ruddy girlfriend. Sigh. Pen would have literally fit if he did something stupid, which Ascanius' didn't do. No, no. Ascanius' did brilliant things that the average person was too stupid to comprehend as PURE and utter genius. Shrug. Their loss. And although Pen was pretty much the exception to like every rule.. she still would have been furious if he punched someone. The Marcus thing was STILL a sore subject for her. Not that Marcus' didn't LITERALLY ask for it but whatever.
And just as he was about to go and get the feathers chaos broke lose. A really fit older woman walked into the room and Ascanius' back shot straight up. Smirk... now who was THIS? Oh crap. Head of House. Well that was a serious bummer. Ah well, live and learn, yeah? Yeah. But as she spoke to all of them Ascanius just stood in the back and people watched. Yeah, he was always watching.
Once she was gone, then some more wizard magicy stuff happened and a little shriveled up person in some seriously tattered clothes and stuff showed up. Ouch. This thing seemed to be doing chores and going mad and taking care of everyone. House Elf. That really bothered him, not that he would show it on his face, 'cause he knew what that was like. Yeah, the whole having to take care of an entire group of kids and being taken for granted by literally EVERYONE. Orphan problems. And he was bitter about it.
But before he could help the little elfy thing, this older guy who OBVIOUSLY thought he was much better looking then he was, which wasn't very good looking by the by, starting barking at the little elf. And Ascanius wanted to punch him in the face too. What an ungrateful, unattractive oaf. He needed to gain some serious perspective... the self-righetous, spoiled brat.
AND THEN, it just got worse. Jeez. He was in a house full of crazies. How did he get stuck with THESE idiots.
Speaking of idiots. Some other guy with a sort of feminine sounding voice came up and tried to command him and everyone in the room. What gave him the right to go about and order people around. HE was asking to get punched as WELL. Jeez. Every guy here needed a good smack to the face. Because when you acted like a girl, you got slapped like one.
Scoffing pretty loudly, Ascanius leaned back up against the pillar that he was up against before and rolled his eyes, "Sorry badge boy. I don't think you yipping at me like a show dog is gonna make me wanna help you." Aka... don't order me about like the hired help. Mmk?

"Sorry, the guys can't access the girls dormitory so you girls are on your own"
Huh?
What?
At first Rich did not understand that those words of the Slytherin male prefect were being snapped at him as he supposed no one would dare to talk to him like that. No. As he never snapped at anyone, other than the house elves, he supposed no one had the right to snap at him but...there was no doubt that he addressed to him that way now.
When he turned to look at Daichi Katharos, the blonde guy's glare with narrowed gray eyes could match the one he had shot at the elf before. He eyed the prefect from toes to head before snorting and folding his arms. ''Oh...how do you know maybe i am a prince, Prefect Duckboy.'' he spat emphasizing the other guy's title. He realized Dylan also approached but he did not look away from his glare at Daichi. ''You are no one to order me to do anything. I will only do something when i think it is necessary and needed to be done. As i do not enjoy the filth either, i think something needed to be done so i might. How is that?''

Oh Merlin, couldn't they ever NOT have drama in this place for at least one whole term?
Kat sighed and tried not to snap. "You know, Rich," she started. "This is still our common room, and we still have responsibilities in this place as Slytherins." Did she sound like a mother trying to be patient? Cos that didn't seem like Kat, but she didn't to stop this. Their own common room is horrible and...

Daichi and helping. Nice mix. "Good, cos you're supposed to be helping me," Kat said. He was her co-prefect for a reason, right? Gotta stick together and stuff so that Slytherin ruled the whole Hogwarts castle. And then...
STARE.
"Daichi, stop," Kat said, trying to end whatever fight that was about to break in. "This fighting isn't necessary." STOP IT GUYS. No. Kat wasn't going to handle all of THIS, you know. A girl vs. two boys... well, not that bad. But really. Back to reality.

Oh, Juliet. And she was volunteering to help in cleaning the dormitory for the girls. Awesome. Kat beamed at her fellow sixth year. "Thanks," she said. See? Teamwork. If they could do this in no time, then their common room would be clean and back to its former beauty soon.
So... what should Juliet do? "I'll get back to you once I'm done talking with Dylan." Cos he was cleaning and stuff, which he wasn't supposed to be doing ALONE.

Theo was back, after making totally sure that Professor Lafay was gone. He had his hoover behind him again, because he kinda wanted to complete that homework IF that was okay with everyone else. He waltzed in after paying his knut, resumed by the fireplace where he had started aaaaand.... "Vacavus!"
The hoover ROOOOOOOARED into life.
Weren't interrupting anything, were we?
Nope? Good. Theo carried on dragging his hoover around the room, and after quickly running over the fireplace area, he continued to the middle of the room. Why were there so many people in here today? Didn't they have flipping better things to do?
Theo guided his nozzle around KAT'S feet.
Kindly move? KTHX.

Dove? She really hated pet names... "My name is Derry. And if you want to speak to me, use it." It was like, a huge pet peeve of hers. Pet names, bullying, looking down on other people because they were different, broccoli. That was basically a list of what she disliked... and when she was in a bad mood she wasn't as shy as normal... "He is not disturbing your peace. None of us are happy about the mess but stop being such a babbie and help clean it if it's that big a deal." Seriously, where did these people come from that they didn't know how to clean? Derry stood her ground, somehow, her irateness being the only thing stopping her nerves from making her tremble, and kept her place between the elf and Richard.
"So far he's a lot more useful than you're being, at least he's trying to clean things. And I'll help him if I want to, where I live if you don't help you're considered a lazy, unhelpful idiot." she said with a scowl. "And use my name." This was going to get really repetitive. "I don't respond to empty compliments." Okay so she didn't really know what that meant... but that's not the point.
Right, helping. Except she wasn't going to leave the poor little odd-looking elf creature alone with people like Richard, who knew what he might say or do to scare the thing. So she stayed in the common room instead of going up to the dorms, and took out her wand, ready to help.

"Well, I think it'd be better to wait until morning. Let's face it...We're ALL exhausted and in need of sleep. So...it'd be disastrous to do right now." All the Slytherin wanted was for Stark to find him things to transfigure into pillows and blankets...and then he wanted everyone to SLEEP because they had lessons in the morning.
That was the main focus and goal.
"Besides....I think morning air would be the best thing for those mattresses."...That...and no one needed to venture upstairs with it being nighttime....

"Now...what I was saying to Hudson...was that we could clean up the common room and crash here tonight...so that we can clean the dorms after some sleep." Dylan wasn't mentally prepared for the messes upstairs. In no shape of form. ''I wish you could speak to me within the same borders of respect but surely that's for you to decide. And whatever you decide, i will still talk to you within the same borders.''
Look... Pfft. She was used to hearing that tone from teachers, but it just seemed really ridiculous coming from this boys mouth for some reason. "I have manners." she said with a little frown. "No, you haven't insulted me, but you're being unhelpful." Clearly. "And I dinnae like people who are unnecessarily rude to people - or creatures - just because they think they're better." Even if house elves were meant to be servants or whatever.
"I'll speak to you with respect when you've earned it. And when you drop the air of self importance." Thank you dad for that comment, she'd heard him saying it on the phone once, and it seemed pretty fitting right now. Even if she only half understood it... She turned away from Richard and set to helping clean up, her confident demeanour dropping now that she had realised she just sassed a much older student. Who was on the Quidditch team last year apparently too... Merlin. She'd have to get along with him if she actually got on... she could do that, but would he..? Oops.
what was going on!?!? Ariana was standing off in a corner clearing it out from dust some when she heard .. LAFAY yelling.. about introductions.. yeahhh, no, she wasn't all about that.. she was good right here..
she wasn't really paying attention to any one in the room, nor did she care really, it wasn't her business what they we're doing, she'd introduce herself to who ever she wanted too later..
then there was a house elf and .. whaa.. who Cared.. could everyone just shut up and stop talking. goodness snakes sure did talk and yell a lot
Sonea nodded to the prefects whose name was Kat, and tried to remember what she had read in her textbook about the spell she wanted to use, this was a spell she needed to know so she was not afraid that she couldn’t do it. “Okay” said Sonea and looked around her, trying to decide which seat was the most dirty and needed to be cleaned first.
Normal, under any other circumstances she would have never cleaned anything at home, she was simply too lazy to do it, not when she had a few maids at home who could do it for her, but now she had no maids and the House elves were gone! She saw that there was one House Elf still on Hogwarts but she was afraid that one House Elf was not enough to clean, cook and to do all the other things on Hogwarts. Sonea also really hated dirt and messy places, so if she wanted to have everything clean than she needed to work for it.
One seat was more dirty than the others so Sonea decided to start with cleaning. She pointed simply her wand to the seat, concentrated and spoke the spell, “Scourgify.” All the dust disappeared and one of the seats was now clean and dust free!

"Incantation first, yea?" Dylan raised his wand, but didn't go through the motions. "In-SEN-dee-oh...Four syllables. It's really important to remember that enunciation is key...because you don't want to flub it and cause the spell to backfire on you."
Giving her a moment to think about that, he showed her the proper motion...A curve up to a point...and then a curve down from that point. Kinda like tracing the top of a flame. "Are you ready to try it?"
The young girl stared full of wonder up at the Captain when he explained Sonea what she could do and how she could do it. She had heard about the spell and she had even seen how one of her maids had used it at home but she had never used the spell herself, so this was really exciting! She was also happy that she was learning this spell now and not in one of the lessons on Hogwarts because, when all the others would learn this spell she would already knew it and she would be better than all the others in the class!
Sonea nodded to the older boy and tried to imitate the movements he had showed her a few times and she muttered the spell a few times before she tried to use it, she wanted to be sure that she did it right. She didn’t wanted to made a bigger mess from the common room than it already was and she could really made a big mess if she was doing this wrongly.
“Yes, I’m ready!” Said Sonea and pointed her wand at the fireplace and tried to made the right motion with her wand. “Incendio” said Sonea but… All what happened was… A tiny spark flew from her wand and that was all! Sonea looked a little confused down at her own wand and wondered what she had done wrong.

Walking into the common room Clement was not met by something he was not expecting. The room was filthy. It was like it hadn't been cleaned for the entire summer. Oh wow. It stunk too. Oh dear Merlin. Maybe he should have gone back to beauxbatons. No. He reminded himself that he had come back here for a reason. He had loved Hogwarts last year, and he was sure that he was going to love it this year too. Though he was going to hope that it would be a little cleaner. It looked like people were starting to clean. Well people were talking about it anyway. He was glad, this place looked really gross.
Clement stepped closer into the room, glancing around. He was up for cleaning. It would be horrendous in here if they didn't clean. He had gotten in just in time to listen to Captain Dylan's little talk thing. Well what he was saying to that Male Prefect. He agreed. The common room needed to be clean. And that would involve them all. "Dylan...." The sixth year murmured, a little louder so that the seventh year could hear him. "Where do you want me cleaning?" Maybe they were starting at one side, and working over? He didn't know. Hence why he'd asked.

KTHX.
Kat was watching everyone in the common room. Conversation in every corner. The prefect was getting tired and sleepy that she rubbed her eyes. She resisted the urge to yawn but that was driven away when she heard a ROAR in the common room. Well, okay. At least Theo was doing some effort with the cleaning.
Oh, okay. Kat moved aside to let Theo vacuum!clean her spot. There you go.

Morning. Right, okay. Kat was tired too. "I'm cool with that," she said to the Captain. She needed sleep too, because tomorrow was going to be the start of classes and all. The prefect did not want to look like she had been missing out too many hours of sleep. The common room was fine for now, and tomorrow they'll be cleaning up the whole place. SPOTLESS... and ratless too.
Cringe.
Pillows. Blankets. She liked that thought, but she needed to clean the floor first. "I'll start with the other side," she said and then Kat took a brush and a sponge. Cleaning before bedtime. Oh... wow.

Kat took a moment to listen to Rich's response. Hmm. She wasn't sure if he was lying or not, because by the way he said it... it seemed like the opposite of what he was saying now. She felt the need to argue but tonight, she wasn't in the mood to fight or whatever. She was tired, after all. "Alright then. Just try not to start any fight." The house elf was the ONLY one left of them, and they couldn't afford to lose him.
And back to scrubbing and cleaning.

Now came the part where he had to break it down into simpler terms..."Katharos, what I meant was that I'm not comfortable with the GIRLS going up there alone. There is no telling what is up there...and you basically just said that they were left to fend for themselves...That is NOT the way we do things...and I'm tired of others thinking we do." They weren't the house that was all out for themselves individually. NO. They weren't.
"Now...what I was saying to Hudson...was that we could clean up the common room and crash here tonight...so that we can clean the dorms after some sleep." Dylan wasn't mentally prepared for the messes upstairs. In no shape of form. "Do you not agree that it would be better left until daylight...so that we can take the mattresses off the beds and air them out?"
Merlin, he was just repeating himself...
UGH.
Whatever.
"Listen...I don't care what you do...but I'm cleaning this floor...so that I can transfigure me a blanket and pillow and sleep somewhere that doesn't smell like something's died."
That was all.
Surprised about the raised voices Sonea looked up from her clean work and tried to follow the conversation. She stared at Daichi and next at Dylan, wondering what was happening. And then a thought stuck her, was the girls dorm also so dirty as the common room? She hasn’t thought about that before, but now that she saw all the concerned faces around her she was afraid that it might be true.
Sonea wanted to be brave and to enter the girls dorm to look at the mess but the truth was, she was absolutely NOT brave, no if she had been brave than she would have been sorted in Gryffindor, no, Sonea was happy if she could walk BEHIND somebody else so that she could run away or hide behind the person before her if there was something in the girls dorm!

FINALLY, Kat moved out of the way. Theo smiled at her and then pushed his nozzle past her, but all that procrastinating done by his teammate had worn his hoover out, and it died. "Well, great." He muttered, as he pulled out his wand once again to give it a tap.
"Vacavus!"
It roared back into life and Theo carried on swanning his way through the common room, sucking up dust and dirt as he did so. He was a good lil hoover'er, you know. Once most of the floor was covered, Theo tried his hardest to reach the ceiling.
But, nope. Too high up.
So, the walls could do with a good clean, and sucked up a ton of spider's webs. It made him shudder a bit, but it was okay. Anything for a bit of cleaning and stuff. WOOP.

He had heard from some of the other House Elves that the Common Room in the Dungeons was the sleepy place of some of the meanie studensies but Toddle had no idea they would be this mean.
There was the nice girl trying to help him and then a few other pretty girls just asking him to get trunks with words like 'Please' but then the meanie boy was yelling again calling Toddles filth. "Toddles isn't filth studensie sir, Toddles bathes all the time." He did, his favorite tub was the one in the Prefectsie's bathroom at night when everyone was sleeping.
More shouting and bad name calling continued and then a boy came running in sweeping and other mentioned helping him clean the Common Room. "That would be being very nice to help Toddles. If you studensies start here, Toddles will go get the rest of your trunksies. Okay? Toddles will then come back and clean the rest."
