Juliet was sitting quietly in one area when the headmistress suddenly came in and told them to gather around, which they all did of course. Sooner or later they will be discussing this cleaning the common room thing. Now they are asked to introduce themselves. Juliet did wait for her turn and when it finally was her, she stood up and waved especially to the new ones "my name is Juliet Kim. Sixth year." she smiled as she took a seat.

Now to wait for the meeting to officially start.

INTRODUCE THEMSELVES? Like... she had to TALK to these people? Not that she had anything against them, they were probably lovely, but her brain wasn't going to let her speak, was it? It hardly ever did when she was around more than one person. But she supposed she would have to try. After all, her dad had said something about getting close to her housemates... God, she wished her parents would write back already...

Okay.. was it her turn? Derry had been gearing herself up whilst everyone else spoke, and had put herself in the skin of Merida, because clearly being a Disney princess was going to help her with confidence, right? And she was named after this one, so relevance. "I'm Derry Ferrier, I'm new... in fourth year." Derryth Merida Ferrier... but nobody else had said middle names so...

Christina just nodded politely when Professor Lafay said welcome to her. She wondered what would their Head of House say to them. The fourth year girl just stay still and kept silent even though she was sleepy and tired. Christina, don't yawn in front of the Professor. She spoke to herself to make herself awake (and didn't look sleepy, of course.)

Introduced herself? Well, maybe that's such a good start especially for a newcomer like her. So, was it her turn now? Okay. Clearing her throat, she started to introduce herself. "Christina Jung and I'm fourth year. Transferred from Beauxbatons." She slightly bowed to the Head of House.

Sonea smiled proudly that she had won a few house points!
Oh, did she really needed to introduce herself to all those people? But… Sonea sighed and nodded. “Hi, I’m Sonea Duvessa and I’m a second year, I’m now twelve years old and…” Sonea paused, wondering what she could tell more about herself.

But now that she couldn’t think of some more important things about herself she just told everybody that she had a pink rat and that she liked pink. Sonea lifted her cheeks up and looked proudly around her.

Time for some cleaning. Possibly the most exciting homework ever given the current situation. Not always, though. Even though he was a clean freak, he didn't get pleasure from hoovering and dusting. Boys his age had MUCH more important things to do. But he was here, nonetheless, ready to get dust busting his lovely home.

Theo plopped his hoover in front of him and made sure he could remember the spell that they had used in class. HE SHOULD, since he said it so flipping much.

Vacavus. That was it.

He pulled out his wand and gave it a tap. "Vacavus!" YAY, it actually started. Theo looked around at the others in the room, giving no expression of apology for the noise. Theo picked up the nozzle and started by sucking up all the dirt from the sofas and chairs. At least the places of sitting would be more cosy. Next, the rugs and skirting boards.

Theo did a GOOD job, if we do say so, and it was definitely up to his standards. His hoover soon died out again, which gave him a chance to scope the room down and see which part to tackle next.

Ceiling. Cobwebs. You are ours.

This was more than Kommoto had been expecting.
"Hm?" everyone was looking at him now. "Oh. Hi, I'm Kommoto, I'm a first year."
He waved, and waited for whoever else still had to go.

"Prefect Katharos, pleasure to have you back." Hecate said to the prefect.

Proud Mama Snake. Her prefects were the first to talk. That was a good sign. "Prefect Hudson, looking forward to working with you."

"Miss Kim, welcome back." She said to the girl.

Right! Now she remembered... She needed that roster. "Welcome Miss Ferrier, I hope you will enjoy your time at Hogwarts."

"Beauxbatons... I hope you took copious notes in your potions classes, Miss Jung, I can't wait to see what happens." Hecate said raising an eyebrow.

"Welcome back Miss Duvessa, I hope you do as well or better in your potions class this year." Hecate told her.

Kommoto... Kommoto... She thought back to the roster. Oh right... it rhymed. "Master Yammoto, I hope you are ready for a good year." She said.

"KINGSLEY!" Hecate said covering her ears. "Stop that infernal racket! We are trying to introduce ourselves here. Get your ugly mug over here, and introduce yourself to our new students. NOW!" She said.

They were doing introductions?

Peyton quickly stood straight, her hands clasped together in front of her, just like her mother had taught her. Apparently it gave off a some sort of dignified image. Whatever. She wanted to impress the Head of House so, of course, she was following her mother's advice.

"I'm Peyton Baltazar. Fourth year Slytherin," she said with the all-famous, proud Slytherin tone. Pride for her name and for her house, always.

Abruptly, she felt like sending Lafay a biiiiig smile. People needed to smile more often. NOD. NOD. But she would hold off on that for a while.

Quickly sending a smile the blonde girl looked around the room as people started to introduce themselves, and sort of figured that she should probably join in even though she was kind of nervous... there were heaps of people in the common room and actually introducing herself to all of them... well that made her beyond nervous.

"I'm Kahlan Moriarty and I'm a first year..." she said, her Irish accent even thicker than it normally was because of how nervous she felt. Still, she managed to put a smile on her face, as she glanced at the other people around the room.

Where the heck did LAFAY come from?

Theo's eyes were wide, and he kicked the hoover about six times before it actually died out again. Well, he thought that his infernal racket would be helpful to ALL of the students. He was making it a nice and welcoming place, but PFFT - fine.

He suppressed a frown and joined everyone else, trying his hardest to ignore that she just called him ugly.

He wasn't.... ugly.... was he? WIIIIIIIIIIIIBBBLE. "Sorry, Professor."

"I'm Theodore Kinsley." Because Lafay had wrongly pronounced his last name to EVERYONE. Had to clarify that, of course. "I'm a fourth year, umm... hi?" This was all VERY exciting and stuff but Theo had places to go and people to see.

Kat was listening to everyone as they introduced themselves. Some of them Kat had already knew, since she had been doing so much effort trying to get to know the new and old students during the terms she had been in Hogwarts. The ones she didn't know though, the prefect tried to remember their names. Maybe on day she would be encountering them by the halls, or in classes when they needed partners. She needed some more space in her head for memorising all their names.

And then Theo was there with his vacuum. Blink. But nice effort on cleaning up the common room, eh.

When the prefect thought that everyone had gone quiet, she took a deep breath. She needed to tell something to Lafay. "Professor," Kat spoke up. "West Odessa found all our trunks. They're in the Entrance Hall." Because it was important. The elves, or elf even, should've brought them in here while they were at the Welcoming Feast. Honestly, were they forgetting that Slytherin House was still as important as the other three houses on purpose?

Kommoto blinked. His stuff! He looked at eh others, who seemed as shocked as he was. Smiling, he ran off hoping to beat the others to the entrance hall.
"Catch ya' later!" he called, running up the steps toward the exit.

After speaking the password and being robbed of a knut by the turnstiles, Nathan walked into the common room and immediately noticed that, although the common room was still in a rubbish state, the sofas looked cleaner. He was about to make a comment about it but noticed his head of house and students, including the prefects, gathered round. Making his way over to them, he heard all of them introducing themselves. 'Might as well' he thought, 'Better late than never'

"Im Nathan Campbell. Fourth Year" That was a good enough introduction wasn't it?

Nathan looked around the rest of the common room, wrinking his nose as he saw all the cobwebs on the ceiling, dust on the carpet, his trunk on the floor beside the Prefect, the fire nearly out-

WAIT What?!

Nathan's eyes snapped to where his trunk was lying and they lit up, realising it had finally been found.

"You found my trunk!" Nathan said happily to the Prefect (Who's name was Katrina which he just found out), as he walked over beside it. He was never letting it out of his sight ever again. "Thanks Katrina" He said gratefully, smiling at her.

If his trunk hadn't been found then he probably would have ran out of knuts.

She glared at the girl... she was the little flirt who seemed to want to get in the middle of Stewart-Quinn and Turner... "Welcome back, Baltazar..."

"You are a second year?" Odd... when she read her Roster she memorized the first years list, and she remembered Moriarty on that list... "Welcome..."

"Kinsley... Whatever..." She said rolling her eyes. So... he wanted to correct his Head of House publicly, did he... "Welcome back."

"Oh good. Thank you. KINSLEY! Go help Odessa with the trunks. Then get back here and finish cleaning this mess..." She said and smiled. "Prefects. Make sure the new students are getting comfortable with their surroundings..." She went to leave and turned to Kinsley. "When you are done, Kinsley, report to my office."

... and she left.

Whatever? Theo opened his mouth to say something, but he already felt as if he had said too much, so he closed it again and just nodded at Professor Lafay. He dawdled on the spot whilst she and everyone else yapped on. It didn't really interest him much but oh.... KINSLEY?

Oh, oh... that was him.

"Su-sure." He nodded and turned on his heel to find West, until she called him out again. MERLIN, why was she picking on him? All he did was make a start to his homework. Maybe it was her time of the month.

REPORT TO HER OFFICE?

HI, PANIC. *INNER FLAIL*

"No problem... Professor." Theo shot a look over to Kat, a kind of, gonna help a pal out here? No? Okay. Soon after, he was gone like a flash to find West. Theo needed advice and West was always the best for advice. Always. He really wasn't but Theo didn't realize that.

WELL. What a hyper first year. That was sort of a... good thing, right? It was a sign that he was excited. But at the same time a bad thing. How was she supposed to keep them still? It was either they were the ones to wear out of energy, or Kat herself. She was already tired, but she couldn't let go of her prefect duties. How exhausting.

But he wasn't supposed to go anywhere. YET. "Hey hey," Kat said. NAME. What was his name? He was the one who had a first and surname that rhymed. Uhm... tomato, potato. No... no. "Kommoto... That was his name right? "You should stay here. Theo is going to get our trunks." With West, but yeah whatever. Just stay in here, young one, or risk another knut.

Oh, so here was the owner of the other trunk. Kat was starting to wonder who owned it or if the elf had misplaced a trunk of another house. It had the Slytherin crest though, but those creatures can still be wrong. "Awesome," Kat said and gave the younger Slytherin a smile.

Even more awesome. Dude was paying attention to her introduction. "You're welcome..." Err... name. Too many Slytherins to remember. Too many people, even. "Nathan. That's your name right?" Just to be sure she didn't mix it with another person.

Kat nodded at Professor Lafay, although the smile was rare. Maybe the prefect was lucky because the students KNOW how Lafay was. She kind of tried not to frown when she demanded Theo to go help West. Well.. okay. Now that is how she was if she wasn't, you know, smiling and being kind. If the others and the new students didn't know and stuff. There it was.

Theo though. Kat managed to mouth "Don't anger her" at him. Her referring to Lafay, cos he had done quite enough sassyness tonight. She would help him you know, and be a frickin' good friend she was but before she could ask Lafay for permission, she had left and so had Theo.

SIGHS.

Okay. Back to prefect duties. DAICHI KATHAROS, where art thou? Also, where was Dylan Montmorency? He wasn't a prefect, but he still was a student leader in Slytherin. C'mon, they had students to watch.

"Anyone need help?"

Now that everybody had introduced themselves here in the common room she felt a little more comfortable, she now knew more about the others and she tried to remember the names she hasn’t heard before. But almost immediately when the head of the house had asked everybody to introduce themselves she had given some instructions and… she left. Sonea stared after the head of the house and looked next around her and at the prefects.

“What can I do to help with cleaning everything?” Asked Sonea while she walked to the female prefect.

Making her way out of the dorms Audrey entered the common room. With a yawn she made her way to the window looking out into the lake, wondering if she could spot a mermaid. Placing her side bag on the ground she pulled out her class scheduale, skimmed it, and then bent down to place the piece of paper back into her back. Looking out the window once more she tried to decide whether to head into the grounds.

Since now he was in the common room, Richard could start with all the important things he had been thinking of doing all day lately. He needed to write love letters. Lots of love letters. Letters full of love and desire. And send them off. Yes, this was an important task and needed to be done with utmost care.

However...when he walked in, it seemed the common room was in no state to give him inspiration for a good love letter. No...not for even one. It was filthy and messy and...nothing seemed in its proper place. What had happened here? Was there a war going on or something? Well...not really. It looked like the place was not cleaned nor tidied up since forever.

After looking a round a bit more, he realized that the people were gathered together. ''What's going on here?''

Audrey had been so absorbed in her own world, that the yelling by a boy who had just entered the room woke her up, in a manner of speaking. She looked towards him and then glanced around the room. How had she not noticed what a pig sty the common room was in? She looked at the boy, shrugged and said, stating the obvious, "I wouldn't have a clue, but this place is a mess."

He fell into one of the couches, and a plume of dust forced him back out, coughing. He rejoined the group, a pout on his face.

Toddles had an endless list of cleaning to do and it was time to work in the Dungeons. The red-haired Headmistress had said to start with the studensie sleeping places so he was in the big room that was all green and with the water in the windows. It was kind of scary when it was dark but Toddles was happy to see the lights were on.

The little Elf began dusting the book shelves and making the soot around the fireplace disappear. He was working so hard that his little body was shaking a bit, probably from lack of sleep. Toddles also didn't notice the studensies standing around talking nearby.

Derry was just about to go and find somewhere quiet to read her book and get away from all this... nonsense, when she noticed a little figure working hard in the room. Oh! She knew what that was! It was a house elf... but it wasn't as big as she'd expected...

And it was... shaking? Was it okay..? It looked tired... She looked around at everyone else - nobody seemed to have noticed it, were they supposed to not speak to them or something? Whatever, it looked sick or something - and walked over. "Um... hello... little Elf-person..." she said, crouching next to it. "Are you okay..? Would you like some help..?" Surely it couldn't do all this on its own, right?

When someone spoke, Richard looked towards where the voice had come from. When he saw the girl, he just stood there and eyed her for a moment or so just to make sure if he knew her or if he had seen her before. But nope, he could not remember her so she was probably one of the new ones. ''Yeah.'' he said after flashing her a knowing smile. ''I can see that. This place had never been like this. I wonder what is wrong with what. I heard the school is broke but if it is even too broke to be able to deal with dust and filth...well...that is ridiculous.''

The Slytherin boy was going to comment further on the situation yet when he heard the very familiar 'POP' sound, he could not help it and cringed. His gray eyes immediately found the source of the 'POP', of course. There was a house elf near the fireplace. The gray eyes narrowed at the creature as he eyed it with discontent. ''Filthy creature.'' he glared adressing the elf ''Get out of here.''

Derry was trying to talk to the elf but SOMEONE was being cruel. She gave the elf a little smile and turned her head to see.... weeeell surprise surprise... it was the boy who had decided to make the captain look like an idiot after tryouts. Psh... She wasn't sure what to make of him. She wasn't particularly sure what to make of anyone here, to be honest, but he didn't have to be so mean. "He's trying to do his job, all the other elves resigned. Weren't you at the feast..?" The headmistress had told them, after all.
