Mack walked up the stairs to the dormitories ughh she groaned inwardly as she saw the state of things weren't any better up here, she quickly went to the window across the room and found the lock, like the one Ronnie had found on the window in the common room, unlocking it and pushing it open. She took a deep breath. There that's better! Looking around she saw their trunks were there and sighed at least they wouldn't have to pay for that too, but the bed's weren't made and another film of dust and dirt awaited them here too. Opening her trunk she rummaged until she found the shirt she had been thinking about when she mentioned just using one of them. She also found a pair of scissors and cut the shirt in half one half for Ronnie and one for me. looking around again she made her way back downstairs to start cleaning this mess.

While carrying her belongings up to the girls dormitory, Aphrodite is already very tired and decided to take a mattress that is right next door.
Amara and Natasha will probably take the right or left side.

Put the cat carrier containing Iris in it, she looked around and she realizes that she seemed to have to clean the mattress and her surrounding before she can take a rest.
Aphrodite immediately pull off her vest and put it above a trunk with initial "A.D" and rolled up her sleeves.

The first thing she did was lift the red blanket that is currently rolled up a mess at the end of the bed, then she spread the blanket and tried to shaking it off in hopes of clearing the dust on it.

While taking one of her handkerchief, Aphrodite began wiping the shelves are just next to her bed, and one thing occurred to her, "You're a witch, Aphrodite .. using a simple spell is not a problem, isn't it?" she said to herself.

"Scourgify," she said softly, and the dust that is in the table beside her bed and curtains disappear in an instant.

Now while she waited Amara and Natasha, she will take care of her belongings.

Sarah clattered into the room with her vacuum cleaner. She was starting to love that thing, yet it was a bit of a pain. She placed the vacuum cleaner on the floor and looked around. There were other girls present, "hi guys! I am Sarah Edwards!" she said whipping her chesnut braid behind her back as before it had haung in her face.

"I hope you don't mind me, thankfully we use a spell for this vacuum cleaner as ordinarily the muggle vacuum cleaners are so noisy it is hard to hear over the din.". She went over to her bed, it was a good thing she had been too busy to use the cleaning spell on everything since she arrived, or else there would not be much for her to clean. ""Vacavus" she said tapping the hose and she lifted it against the scarlet curtains. "these ARE dusty, I just I never noticed it. Truth be told I don't mind living in a mess, yet my lungs do, I get sick due to dust, She said talking to the those present in the room.

Then she stopped the spell and opened the curtains revealing her bed, which was unmade her nightie crumpled. She did a quick folding spell on her nightie and took of her blanket. Then she put the sucking spell back on with a "Vacavus" and began to vacuum her bed. Her aunt did it at her home as her cousin had the same problem as Sarah and needed to her bed to be vacuumed inorder to keep the dust away. She hummed as she worked away and soon her bed was also done.

"Is there anything else that needs to be vacuumed?" she asked

He was taking some photos from her trunk that she would like to display in her bedside table and a girl who was a few years older than she entered the dormitory. "Hi, My name is Aphrodite Dragongrass! Nice to meet you, Sarah," she said to her with friendly attitude and Sarah is working on her Astronomy homework. "Of course, you can, as you see this place is whole mess" Aphrodite said, smiling at her.

With the majority of the corridor near her Common Room looking acceptable, she moved on to her dorm. This was one place she'd been neglecting to clean for a while but now that she had a vacuum and some extra reasoning behind it, she made her way there.

This place had to be the most depressing. She was sure the others had gotten busy cleaning their own dorms and it would have made sense to clean hers too but...yeah...

For now, Lex ignored the unmade bed and the dirty curtains. Those would get cleaned....some other time. Her main focus was getting this dirt and dust to go away. It was making her sick and she was sure it was affecting her kneazle as well. It was no wonder he didn't like staying in here very much anymore. Granted he'd always been one to wander off but he was doing it a lot more this term. No doubt because of the dust.

He wasn't even in the dorm right now. She'd have to go looking for him when she was done.

"Vacavus!" The vacuum kicked in again and instantly began sucking in any dust that was close enough. She wasted no time in moving around the room getting behind her trunk, by the windowsill, UNDER HER BED (MER-LIN!!), by the rug and under it too. Just everywhere! She couldn't leave any behind for fear that they would multiply after she was gone and give her MORE cleaning to do. UGH. Just no.

Lex kept at it until there were no visible signs of dust or dirt but like she said, all other cleaning would happen some other time. For now, on to somewhere else.

Herjenmie's large wings carried him silently across the grounds of Hogwarts, high over the heads of the students, eyes searching as he flew. He'd crossed the entire grounds and entered the castle when he spotted the girl person he was meant to be delivering this package to in her dormitory.

Swooping down swiftly, he swept low enough to place the package at her feet, then gave his wings a mighty flap and was up and out of the window.

Melanie was wearing an old pair of sweats and a t-shirt as she levitated the vacuum cleaner up the stairs and into the Gryffindor girls' dormitories. She had a lot of cleaning to do. She refused to sleep in a dusty old room too. She wasn't going to deal with any of that. So the sixth year opened the door to the dormitories and lowered the vacuum cleaner onto the floor with a little sigh. She pulled a scrunchie off of her wrist and tied her hair up before looking at the room that she shared with Alice and others.

Cleaning.

How fortunate she was that the Astronomy homework required cleaning and allowed her to borrow the vacuum cleaner because she was going to ask the professor anyways. She, sadly, didn't have a pair of rubber gloves though... which she'd ask her cousin to send her later. That way, her hands wouldn't get all dirty. But there wasn't much Melanie could do about it at the moment unless she wanted to use her dragonhide gloves... but those were for classes and she didn't want to ruin them. She picked up the hose of the vacuum cleaner, watching it flop around until she got to the head of it, and fumbled for her wand.

Which she couldn't find.

Melanie dropped the hose back down and reached under her pillow. Then into her desk drawer. And then finally, in her trunk. It was sitting atop a bunch of stuff that Melanie had yet to unpack because she didn't want dust collecting on them. She'd have to clean first before she did that. The Gryffindor picked up the hose and then her wand. "Vacavus," Melanie said clearly, tapping the hose with her wand.

The vacuum cleaner roared to life and Melanie started to sing to herself to take her mind off of the dirtiness. "I'm gonna keep it frozen here forever... there's no regretting anymore," Melanie sang, not caring who heard and not caring what other people thought about it, allowing the hose to suck up the dust from under the bed. "It's worth the wait, even so far away. I'm making the night mine until the day I die~" she continued to sing. The sixth year may have danced a little bit to it too as she allowed the hose to suck up whatever dust there was under the bed before moving to behind the curtains and drawers.

Plus, it was always the most fun to jam out while you were cleaning. Melanie may or may not have pretended that the hose was her guitar at some parts as well... but... at least she had gotten rid of most of the dust - which was a good thing. Yup.

Quickly Mackenzie ran to her trunk, checking the watch her gran had given her she only had about 30 more minutes, digging through the trunk she found the little box from the apothecary of several ingredients that she had stocked up on during the summer. Even though she could easily just grab the four ingredients here it didn't seem right, just the one, horned slugs. Grabbing the horned slugs vial she closed the box and placed it back in her trunk before dashing back out to find two more ingredients.

She couldn't sit anymore, anywhere. She walked into the girl's dormitories. She wanted to go to her cozy bed and have a good sleep before she could do anything.

Except... the bed wasn't nice and cozy. OW man! The place was what one would call a mess. Very realistic at that. And there were already people in there.

She moved from her earlier quest of having a sound sleep. Seriously, not on that!

"HELLO PEOPLE!"

When she meet Amara entering their dormitory , Aphrodite had just finished tidy up her bed and shelves. She was very tired and wanted to sleep immediately but clearly her new best friend need some help, Aphrodite was doesn't mind after all..

"Hi Amara, how are you?" she asked as she led her to her own bed, "You need help in tidying up your stuff?" she added.

And there was Fro, a friendly and pretty face. Ofcourse, lions were all looking friendly. She walked casually towards the girl and flopped next to her on her bed.

She glanced at the girl. "Uh..yeah, I'm good" she said, looking up at the ceiling. What was wrong with her? Well...she didn't know herself. The healers didn't know either. But the cause....

Tidying stuff? "What're you saying...." she caught mid-sentence when she looked at the incredibly dusty bed next to Fro's.

"That's mine?" she asked pointing, wide-eyed. This was a bed?

Aphrodite moved next to Amara that was still on state of shock, did not believe that was looking toward her mattress.

"Yes, it's your bed, Amara. If you want, I can help you because it seems like you're kinda not so well," said Aphrodite, standing up and facing the bed that belongs to Amara, "So How?" Aphrodite asked her with a smile.

Before she forgot, Aphrodite reached into her satchel and pulled out a medium-sized red box in which there is a cake.

"This is for you, Amara. Since you have not eaten before, and I hope you love chocolate," Aphrodite said, putting the box in Amara's lap and smiled at her.

She smiled widely. Now this was a wonderful girl, wasn't it? "Oh thanks...I could really use some help" she said, as she looked at her bed and sighed. If she was to sleep in a bed sooo dusty that would really be...argh. Nope. She was not going to.

"Say, you take the poster and mattress...and I'll take the bed" she said, as she moved towards her weary looking bed. She moved to dust it, but then, why did they come to magical school for? She drew out her wand. She wanted it done and wanted it done faster.

"Whats that cleaning spell again?" she asked, she couldn't remember the charm and was hoping Fro would.

And then Fro took out something from her bag. "Pretty bag" she mused as she watched her. Offering me? Cake? "OMG...is that for me? FOR ME?" she squeaked. She covered the steps between them and grabbed the cake from her. She was SO hungry and she bet she could even eat grass. "You're a lifesaver, you are"

"Oh, I love chocolate" she said, munching the cake. "Who doesn't?" Yeah, it was the best flavour. The cake tasted so good, that she wanted to keep on eating. "It tastes so good..surely you didn't get it from the school kitchen?" she asked, taking another bit. If she did, I might want to do something poking around there.

Maybe it was just her but today seemed extra long and seeing the end of it didn't make her feel any better. Right now she wasn't all that tired but she didn't much feel like doing homework either. Ah well. This wouldn't be so hard. Drink some tea and make out the pictures. Nothing to it.

During the week she'd owled her father to send her a teacup and some GOOD TASTING tea. That was her excuse for not having started the reading before just now. The cup was important and there was no way she was downing anymore of whatever that thing was they had in class.

Lex sat, legs folded like a pretzel, on her bed with her DADA textbook lying before her while she waited on the tea she had brewed to become a bit cooler. Might as well keep herself occupied so she wouldn't fall asleep from boredom. This was the time of the night where she needed to stay active or she'd crash. The candy was helping out a bit with that. Just beside the book was the parchment she'd traced the outline of the cup with. Mhm, she was well prepared.

After another minute or two she shut the book and reached for the tea cup. Mmmmmmm, good tea and a good cup. She should ask her father to send her more things maybe then she'd go back to some form of normalcy.

Sip. Siiiiiip. Clearing her mind...

She left enough in the cup and got straight to it, swirling the tea leaves around then up-turning the cup on the parchment, marked the spot of the handle then got to the funny pictures. Let's see...

There was...an Ear...a knife...and...a purse? Lex scribbled them down and drew for her Divination text for the interpretations so she could make her journal entry.



She peered into the book but was less convinced with each one. Merlin's Beard! This was why she shouldn't do these things before bed! These were terrible!!! Did she really have to record them??????

Ronnie entered the dorm after a day of spying in the kitchen. Frowning, she took a seat upon her bed and grabbed her brush. As she began to brush out her long, bright orange hair, she thought to herself about what she had just seen. She sighed and set her brush down. What was that all about? She was so full of curiosity. She quickly poked her head over the edge of her bed and grabbed a handful of sweets she had bought a bit ago at Hogsmeade. As she sat on her bed snacking, she looked around herself, hoping for someone to tell about what she had just seen.

She felt like she'd been walking in circles forever. She still wasn't sure what she was going to do about Charms or Mr. Firth but she had to think of something. The fate of that book on hexing depended on it.

After the millionth trip down to the Common Room she was back up in the dorms again. Oh? Ronnie had made it up there while she was gone. She didn't see the girl heading up but that was probably because she was too preoccupied with the rug, the fireplace and anything she could find to distract herself. Now that she was in her dorm again she gave her a wide grin before plopping down in her bed. "Hey!"

She reached under her bed, at a special spot and pulled out her candy bag. She didn't have any ice-cream on her so this was the next best thing. It's funny how she'd grown to love the ice-cream more...kinda scary. She loved her candy. Nothing should ever change that. Looking over, she noted the girl seemed kinda preoccupied. "You okay?"

Ronnie looked up and smiled at Alexa. "Hi!" she smiled and then chuckled softly when the girl asked if she was alright. So she'd noticed. Perfect! Someone to spill all this to. "Actually," she began after swallowing a bite of one of her Chocolate Frogs. "I was just in the kitchen getting some ice cream. And I was walking by the fire and couldn't help but overhear Professor Knox and that visiting History of Magic professor talking at the fireplace. They were talking real quiet, as if they didn't want anyone to hear." she paused for a minute to take another bite of her candy. Okay. Back to ze story. "And then, they were talking about ice cream! So I was quite interested. Professor Knox was talking about how us students were driving her crazy and stuff, and then she said she knew he was behind all this 'stupid ice cream stuff." she explained, pausing for a moment to remember what else was said during this conversation. Oh yeah! Okay. "Then that professor guy said something about the ice cream factoring into his long-term plans for Hogwarts, and that It's necessary for us students to be overly happy, at least for a little while longer." she finished with a nod.

Alexa pulled a sugar quill from her bag then flopped back onto her pillow while she listened to her talking. Something about the kitchen--the kitchen had ice-cream, you know??? Really, super good ice-cream. They should probably go get some after they were done talking even though it was kinda getting late and...wait...what time was it? If it wasn't yet curfew they could still go. Merlin, curfew or not she WANTED more ice-cream!!!

"Ooooo!!!! You saw Mr. Vinteren?!?!" She shot up at the sound of that man's name. In her opinion, he was one of the best things to happen to this place. It didn't surprize her that Professor Knox was complaining. The woman was grumpy, there was nothing anyone could do about that.

"Wait...what? What does children annoying her have to do with the ice-cream?? She's not planning to take it away, is she??" Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, sniffs, it couldn't leave. That would be TERRIBLE!!!!

Hehehe, it was Mr. Vinteren who'd brought the ice-cream, this was all his idea to make them happy. She found herself grinning. "I knew I liked that man. He knew we were broke and would need a picker upper so he gave us happy ice-cream--that is, if that's what they were implying down there. Isn't he wonderful?" And she flopped back down on her pillow, perfectly content. He was SUCH a giving man.

Vinteren! That was his name...okay. It had been on the tip of her tongue. She then shrugged. "Who knows, she seemed pretty upset with him about it." she said thoughtfully. Hopefully, they wouldn't take away the ice cream away. But while in the kitchen, Ronnie had a weird feeling. It hit her how odd it was how everyone that ate the ice cream made them awfully happy. That normally didn't happen, did anyone realize that?! There had to be SOMETHING in that ice cream that was making everyone like this. Everyone was so addicted to it. Even Ronnie had been until Oliver passed away... then her level of energy and happiness went down a bit. But she still loved the ice cream. But something was just fishy about it.

She then just nodded at what Alexa said, smiling. "Yeah, he is quite nice to give us that ice cream." she told her. It was definitely better than all the other food that was being served here now, that was for sure. "So anyways, how have you been? Classes going well?" she switched the subject. Perhaps she'd talk to Jory or something about this later.

Lex gave it some thought as she continued sucking on her sugar quill. This was where she was supposed to see what Aidan meant by absentmindedly sucking on a sugar quill while you think but no. This was made of sugar. If she was sucking on ink it would have been different. "Well...I wouldn't read into that too much, she's always upset about something or another. I don't think I've ever seen her smile." She shrugged and bit at the sugar quill.

Eeep! She thought Mr. Vinteren was nice too!! Not many people did. They thought there was something fishy about him, but not her. She liked him. He was wonderful and taught her to blow things up. "I'm glad you think so, not many do. It's weird but whatever, their loss." She could see him for who was. Nodnodnodnod.

"I've been GOOD!!! Eating lots of ice-cream and candy! The classes have been alright I guess. Nothing special. What about for you? You've got those big exams this year, don't you?" So many people were having them. She was fine with her regular end of year exams, thanks.

Laughing, she nodded. "Yeah, you're right. The ice cream will most likely stay since there'll be more people on the ice cream's side than her side." she said, eyeing all the candy Alexa had. Boy, that girl sure did have a thing for candy! But then again, who didn't?! Candy was good. No, perfect. IT WAS HEAVEN.

Ronnie nodded about Alexa's comment on Vinteren. "Yeah, true." she said. She then laughed at her excitement of candy and ice cream. Merlin! This girl was hyper. She better be brushing those teeth of hers good because she'd be getting mad cavities! "School has been good. Not the best last year...I miss the food and a few other things. But it's good. Did ya hear me and Jory got together?" BEAM. Teehee. 'Twas so fun telling everyone this....oh and yes, exams. BLEH. Sighing, she nodded. "Yep. The big exams. Woop di doo!" she said, smirking.

Ronnie had the right idea and Lex grinned. Everyone would prefer ice-cream to Knox and the woman probably didn't care so all was good. "There's nothing much to worry about really. Aquila and I were talking to the Headmistress, she said the ice-cream isn't going anywhere, isn't that great???" She was beaming at the thought. No matter how much more broke the school got they would still have ice-cream. She was perfectly fine with this.

Yeah, everyone was complaining about the food. It was so expected now that she hardly paid attention, most time she just ate what she needed then filled up on ice-cream and candy. She was about to throw a jelly bean in her mouth when she heard that. More people getting together. Wrinkling her nose probably wasn't the appropriate answer so she just raised an eyebrow. "Oh? No, I never heard that. Er...congratulations." There was a smile somewhere in there but all this, everyone getting together made her want to go back to the potions lab. Cringe.

"You think you're ready enough for them?" Lots of people kept freaking out but Ronnie seemed real calm about it so maybe she was doing that steady studying thing? Probably.

Nodding, she smiled. "'Course it's great! Mostly everyone here would be quite sad if the ice cream went away." she said. Not Professor Knox, though! She'd probably be pretty happy about it.

Noticing Alexa's reaction to them getting together, she held back a laugh. Thank Merlin the girl wasn't getting into that nonsense yet or into it. There were a few third years she knew of that got together. Heck, there were even first years! Good Merlin. But yes. She flashed a smile. "Thank you." she said. Oh. Ready for the exams? Hmm... "Sort of. I mean, I've been studying quite a bit and I'm sure it'll all pay off. I'm not too worried or stressed or anything, thankfully!" she told her, smiling.

Sad, sure, but she was willing to add OUTRAGED to that list. It would take some nerve for them to get rid of the ice-cream machine while they were subjecting them to that slop they were serving down in the Great Hall. So long as the ice-cream was still there, she could cope. The moment it was gone, there would be riots--RIOTS! "I actually think a few other Professors might be against this whole ice-cream thing too." Like a certain Ground's Keeper. Nodnodnod.

Oh good, she hadn't offended her with her reaction. Wrinkling her nose was a first response, she kept everything else in, all her thoughts about it being rubbish and a waste once you had candy and ice-cream to make you happy. "I'm suppose you're gonna say you're incredible happy, yeah?" Did she sound not convinced? It's because she wasn't.

"That's GOOD! freaking never helps. You either know stuff or you don't, especially when it hits the actual day of exams." But she probably already knew that. Lex threw the bean in her mouth. "What'd you think you'll do when you hit the real world?" The idea seemed so weird. She'd be coming back next year...Ronnie wouldn't. The whole idea was odd...
