She then thought for a bit, "Who is Adam, I have never met him, right? Ronnie is another one I haven't seen for ages. I really need some major friend time I guess." SHe smiled a bit, but it wasn't completely a lie either.. she really could use some major friend time. |

"Oh, Adam is the brother of another of my friends before Hogwarts. Her name is Callidora, she's one of Eimear's friends from Beauxbatons. Adam just transferred here from the French school." Right into OWL year too, poor guy. "Anyways, me and Logan caught him and Ronnie kissing at the Broomsticks. They said something to each other and just ran off." Whatever it was though, Ronnie seemed awfully excited about it. Made Am wonder exactly where they were going. |
Torparticus- Post 1 So, onto the next spell. Jory was still apprehensive about this one, he really hated the felling that came with it. "But it must be done,'' he said, hoping to encourage himself. "Torparticus!'' he exclaimed jabbing his wand at his hand. At first he could feel nothing but then he started to feel a sharp prickly and numb sensation. "Uh oh,'' the Puff muttered as the feeling intensified a bit. But before he could brace himself for more, the prickling and numbness suddenly vanished. "Well, I guess I didn't put enough into that.'' He couldn't lie, he was sort of relieved the spell hadn't gone right. It was that much he hated the numb feeling. |

"It say's here that a prince once used this potion to awaken a princess who had been given the Draught of Living Death by the Hag Leticia Somnolens. The prince first put some of the potion on his lips and then kissed the princess. Is that it?", she said to Presley. "Here, take a look.", she marked the page and handed it back to Presley to check what she had read. |

She then listened as Am explained who Adam was. "Oh he was is a fifth year.. What house is he in. Ethan just transferred from there and is a fifth year as well. Wonder if they might know each other." Maybe they did, but they might not either if that school was as big as Hogwarts. She certainly didn't know everyone in school even though she did her best to try. She then smiled at the Ronnie/Adam talk, "Well that's nice they are both happy at least." |

"He's in Slytherin," Ameliah answered. "I don't think he's met many people yet, so probably not Ethan. He just recently met a girl name Gwen though. He kept saying she was irritating, but from his description she was just like himself," she said with a laugh. "And yeah, I've never seen Ronnie happier. She keeps giggling and blushing all the time." |
Sowwy it's late! SPOILER!!: Besties and Mick! Ella knew Sophie was going to decline the offer to be set up with anyone right now and she did her best not to show how concerned she was, considering the erm...circumstances. Poor Soph. Boys were SO daft. "I missed you too Laura, I missed both of you A LOT." And she smiled warmly at her two best friends, super happy that they were finally reunited. Laura's enthusiasm over this Mick dude had Ella giggling and exchanging amused glances with Sophie. Her giggling stopped at the Oakey comment and she frowned a bit, looking down. She knew Laura and Oakey weren't ever going to see eye-to-eye but she was friends with both of them, so no bashing the boy pretty please. Grin. "Yeah! I'd like to meet this AMAZING boy too." And see just how much awesomeness he really had. Mhm! Investigating timeee! And then the Mordred topic and Ella saw Sophie's face and she kind of felt bad for bringing it up. "I...well he asked me if you were okay, actually." And she studied her friend for a reaction. "Soph, he's all sad cause you won't talk to him and-" ...But before she could say anything else, a boy was talking to them. AND taking pictures? Ella eyed the boy curiously and tried her best to do what he said, which was just to continue to talk to her friends...only she couldn't exactly discuss MORBID with an audience around. Blink. OHHHH....It was MICK. Hmm..Ella gave an amused smile to Soph and BEAMED at the boy, eyebrows raised. "Well hello, Mick." Grin. "Laura has told us so much about you." GRINNNN. "I'm Ella, nice camera by the way." But before they could talk too much longer, the boy was off again. Huh. That was fast. |
Ronnie made her way down to the courtyard for a bit of fresh air. She had just finished all her work and was finally all caught up with everything. It felt really nice to know it was all done, now she wouldn't have to worry about having to do work or anything. Hooray! She plopped down on one of the benches, taking a look around. Not many students were here today...she frowned. Darn, she was really hoping she'd run into a friend. Ah well. Maybe someone would be at the lake? She'd wait a little bit before going to find out. |
Torparticus-Post 2 "Torparticus!'' Jory exclaimed once again, jabbing his wand at his hand. He wanted to get this over with as soon as possible. This time, he had braced himself for the numbish sensation. He waited for a few minutes, expecting a combination of numb and prickling but nothing whatsoever happened. "That went well,'' the Puff muttered sarcastically as he realised he was having more trouble with this spell. Actually, he was half angry with himself for not getting it right and half relieved he hadn't gotten it. |

By now they had run through several school years worth of trivia questions, and arithmancy problems Pres had to solve in her head. It was probably time to let the kid have a chance to study too. And Presley could always get Gwen to quiz her. Gwen was particularly brutal, and Prse didn't think the fifth year would have a problem telling Presley she was stupid for not knowing something. She folded the book shut and set it ontop of the stack. "So, what do you need help with?" She asked, willing to do just about anything to help this kid with lessons after the help she'd been given. |
Petrificus Digitirus #3 Max made his way back up to the school from the orchard as the sun lowered in the sky. Dinnertime was approaching and the seventh year needed a small break from his initial practicing of his Defense Against the Dark Arts homework. He needed to be closer to that food, at least. But he still hadn't finished. Taking a seat on a bench of the courtyard, Max pulled out his wand and flexed his gloved hand. He... was going to try to do the spell non-verbally. He was supposed to be able to do that well, right? And he had mastered the spell well enough while speaking the incantation, so... there wasn't much reason to be worried... right? Shaking off his nerves by shaking his appendages, Max steadied himself and pointed his wand at his free hand. He lowered it again when a small group of people passed by, feeling anxious that they might be watching him; when they passed, he straightened up and resumed his previous position. He relaxed himself but remained focused on the task at hand. Max waved his wand in an inverted 'U' shape and non-verbally casted, Petrificus Digitirus! His non-wand hand stiffened instantly, and though it hadn't worked as successfully as it had the last time he did it verbally, his hand was stiff and he could only bend it very slightly when he tried his hardest. He took that as a success and non-verbally followed up with Finite to free his hand. Good enough. |

"Shall we start?", she asked Presley while pulling her wand out of her robe. |

Torparticus #1 Now for the other spell. The... much more dangerous spell, he thought. This one targeted the joints, which was definitely going to feel a lot more bizarre, right? Gross. Petrificus Digitirus had been kind of fun, maybe because Max didn't really think anything would go wrong... but this one surely demanded ultimate concentration. So he was going to practice it a lot first before actually trying it out. "Tor-par-ti-cus," he said first, then furrowed his eyebrows. He tried to hear Romanos's pronunciation in his head. "Torp-art-icus... Torp-arti-cus... Torp-artic-ussssss... Torp-ar-ticus?" The last one sounded right. "Torp-ar-ticus," he decided finally. And if that wasn't it, he was going to be in trouble. The quick jabbing motion of the wand wasn't too hard at all, obviously, but Max practiced that a few times, too. He murmured incoherent things to himself as he did so, wondering what would happen if he ended up messing up the spell. Would his hand or fingers fall off? Was he going to have to show up at the Hospital Wing with broken or detached appendages? Stop being silly, Max. You can do this, he reassured himself. But not after he practiced saying the incantation correctly a few more times. That was essential. |

Befelda then sorted out herself, with her wand at the ready, aiming at the hands of Presley, she slowly but surely made a jabbing motion and in the end casted, "Torparticus!". Befelda then set down her wand and stared at Presley's hands. She turned her stare to Presley's face. "Well, what do you feel? Did it work?". Befelda was hoping the spell worked perfectly on her first cast. I hope it did. |
SPOILER!!: Ameliah Minerva looked at her and a frown grew on her face. That didn't sound like Harvey at all. Not that she didn't believe Am, but it was super hard to believe he would ever do something like that. "That's odd, it doesn't sound like him at all. If you both got letters, did you ever ask this so called friend if it had something to do with her? Maybe she wanted you two broke up and did a very rude and nasty thing?" That's all Min could think about, it was just a weird situation. Not that it really mattered now, they both seemed happy with other people. She then smiled, "Oh a snake, well he will meet many people soon enough. There are plenty of nice Slytherin he will meet." She at least had one good friend from that house and knew of a few others. She knew some jerks as well, but she wouldn't mention that. "Well I'm glad Ronnie is happy with him, that's all that counts." |

At the mention of Hogsmeade, Cora blushed a little. That was where she had met Ethan. Well, not really met him, but that's where he found her hat. "Yes, as a matter of fact. I have been there. It's wonderful." And then, Cora added, "We should go together sometime. Have you ever been?" Cora asked. Well, obviously Nora would have gone already, it's not like she had been held hostage in her own home for two years. |

Torparticus #2 All right. He was ready. Max cleared his throat nervously as he raised his wand to point at his non-wand hand. Torp-ar-ticus, he reminded himself in his head, trying to make sure he did it right the first time. And he was going to... right?! "Torparticus!" Max casted with a short jab of his wand, and he jumped at the tingling sensation that went through his hand... but had he really done it properly? He decided 'probably not' was the correct answer there because the tingling sensation went away after a few seconds. His hand felt completely normal, and he frowned. So... he hadn't done it well enough. Try, try, and try again until one gets it right, right? So, without further dwelling on his apparent failure - or at least at performing far too weak of a spell - Max lifted his wand once more and spoke, "Torp-ar-ticus!" with complete determination and another jab of the wand. His whole hand felt bizarrely numb and tingly, and he found himself laughing. Weird sensation, wasn't it? "Cool," he decided, grinning at his hand and suddenly realizing he probably looked like a loon to passersby. Ah, well. He had DONE IT CORRECTLY! That was great reason for celebration. |

"So where are you heading then? Are you done studying for your OWLs?", she asked Presley. Suddenly, her stomach rambled and she just felt that she was almost starving. she then asked Pres, "Hey, do you want to eat? I'm starving. I only had a glass of milk and couple slices of bread this morning. Perhaps this practicing thing has really starved me. I'll be going to the Great Hall, wanna come?", she asked Pres, trying to know if she wants to accompany or eat with her. |
Torparticus-post 3 Again, Jory jabbed his wand at his wand at his hand. "Torparticus!'' he exclaimed, concentrating hard, feeling more determined to get it right this time. "Come on, work, work,'' he begged silently. He couldn't stand the thought of having to practice this repeatedly without proper results. And it did! There was the sharp prickling and then followed by the numb feeling. "Ouch!'' he said hating the needle like boring that his hand was taking but at the same time he was very much pleased that the spell worked. Well, he got it to work, anyway. |
